Those two! My son should not be talking to an elf like her, he is a prince, not a common palace guard. And as for Leaiwen, well, she's not your typical sylvan elf. She's not an elf by blood either. Or rather, her mother was. And as for her father, well, let's just say that her father was definitely NOT anything close to an elf. Yes, the get along like an arrow to a bow; but I still don't like that they spend so much time together. After all, legolas will have to break the news to her soon.

Leaiwen P.O.V.
As we laughed, I felt free, like I didn't have a care in the world. The smell of earth and mushrooms was over powering, so I sat up. As I did so, I felt like something was missing, I looked around. There was an eerie silence, but, as I went to draw my bow, my hand clasped thin air. I felt empty. Yet i remembered putting my bow on my back to go for gate duty. And after, almost shooting my best friend with it. Yet here I am, with no bow, had I dropped it whilst laughing, or was I just going mad?
As I looked around me, then it dawned on me. Legolas wasn't there!
"Legolas?" I called out, "legolas? Were are you?" No call answered mine. I scrambled to my feet and ran As fast as I could towards the Kings halls not noticing the cuts and scratches that the thorns made on my legs. When I reached the part were all the Royal elves slept I pushed open the door that belonged to Legolas. His room was messy, the wardrobe doors were open and clothes were strewn across the carpeted floor and his bow was gone, as well as a quiver of arrows. But, in the place of his bow, was my bow, clean and with a note attached to it. The note read:

Dear Leaiwen,
I am very sorry for my sudden disappearance, but I knew that if I told you were I was going and what I was doing, then you would try to stop me, or you would try to follow me. I can't let you come with me, it would mean both of us putting our lives, at risk. I took your bow because I knew that you would come looking for it. I have been summoned to the council of Elrond, father forbade Elrond to allow you(if you came) to come on the quest to destroy the ring.
