Chapter 4: Healing

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW:

They said that things happen for a reason, and right now, Kronos wants to know the reason why he pushed the door open and how he came to meet someone he doesn't want see again. He doesn't hate the boy, far from it. He is just scared that seeing the boy will bring unwanted memories to him. He is healing and forgetting, not reminiscing. The boy may have been just a small part of his painful past, but that doesn't change the fact that he was a part of something he wanted to forget.

Kronos felt his hands trembling "H-how?" He whispered while stepping back

Perseus, for the first time in a month showed an emotion. It was of pure shock and surprise. He didn't speak; he only stared at the Titan with wide eyes. Percy trying to find his voice that has been lost for a month said "K—" he cut off, feeling his throat explode in pain. He hadn't spoken in a month, hasn't eaten nor drink. It's a miracle he can stay upright.

Kronos, now noticing the appearance of the hero, could only gape with horror and shock. The hero was very thin, so thin that Kronos could see his bones underneath his skin. His skin was so pale compared to his once tanned skin from when he last saw him. His lips were dry and chapped. His once bright sea green eyes that remind Kronos of the ocean now look so dark that it was almost not green. Kronos noticing the pain in the hero's eyes immediately went for the table which has the hero's food for the day.

He picked up the glass of water and helped the hero sit upright, since he was crouching in pain. Percy was encasing his throat and he seems like he was trying to minimize the pain.

"Here" Kronos said while pushing the glass up into the hero's open lips.

Percy hungrily gulped as much water as he can "Ho—" Kronos cut his question off, looking away from the hero who was still drinking.

Looking at the hero in front of him, he can't help but asked himself. What happened to make the once mischievous and cocky hero like this? Kronos spied the hero who had finished drinking with calculating eyes, looking at him in closer inspection, the boy really do look like his son Poseidon. He felt his eyes tearing up at the memory of his children looking at him with hate and disgust when they first fought in the First Titan War. As a father, he never wanted to have his children looked at him like that. He never wanted to cause them harm, but because of his weakness, he did the one thing that he didn't think he would do to his children. Trying to kill them.

Kronos was so busy reminiscing his painful past, that he hadn't noticed that tears were spilling out of his golden eyes. Kronos also failed to notice the look the hero was giving him. It was of pure wonder and surprise. I mean, it's not every day you witness the Titan of Time crying.

Kronos was snapped out of his thoughts when he felt a hand wiping away his tears; he looked down at the hero with surprised eyes "Why are you crying? Are you okay?" The hero asked him with a bit of difficulty in his voice, it was still a bit scratchy, but it was better than before.

Kronos immediately brought his hands up to wipe the tears that unconsciously spilled out of his eyes. He was still looking at the hero in front of him with surprise. Was the hero worried about him? Even with the surprise and doubt of the hero mocking him, Kronos felt his lips quirking a little bit. His grandson may be one of the most selfless person he has ever met in his entire Titan life. He had tried to kill the boy once and yet, here he is. Not even wary of Kronos holding him close. Also adding the fact that the boy was worried about why he was crying. Him... him of all people should hate Kronos, for Kronos had taken so many precious people away from him. But here he is, asking if the Titan was okay and why he was crying.

Kronos could only give a watery smile at the hero before he pulled back to pick up the picture of his wife and him "You really remind me of my son" Kronos mumbled while dusting the picture he dropped when he saw Perseus. He hadn't meant the boy to hear him say that, but apparently, his voice came a bit louder than he thought it would be

"What?"

Kronos only shook his head and hurriedly went out the door, not wanting to stay any longer than he did, being with the hero brought him unwanted memories and Kronos doesn't want that. He just wants to live peacefully without reminiscing the past. In his dust, he left a confused and hurt hero.

Perseus felt his eyes watering and felt his hands trembling uncontrollably. Was he that horrible that even the Titan can't stand the sight of him? For the first time in a month, Perseus felt his lips trembling and his eyes releasing torrent of tears, for the first time in a month, Perseus showed emotion. It was of pure pain and sorrow. The hero was feeling his already torn apart heart aching, it was like his heart mended itself for it to break again into tiny little pieces.

He just wants his friends and family again, no more than that. Was that too much to ask? He heard rather than saw the door opening and a gasp of shock before he felt a pair of hand grabbing his face gently. The hand gently tilted his head up and his eyes locked into the concerned gaze of the creator "What's wrong, Perseus? Are you hurting anywhere?" She asked urgently, checking him from head to toe, trying to locate an injury that doesn't exist.

Perseus felt his body shake as more sobs racks his body. Yes, he's hurting. Not physically, but mentally and emotionally. He wished that he could say this without sounding so ridiculous. But, he can't help but feel so hopeless, his friends abandoned him for his half-brother, his family is dead, and his beloved girlfriend is gone and living with Luke and the others in the underworld. He wants to say that he wishes to see his beloved just one last time before he accepts his cruel fate. Before he finally let his self succumb into nothingness, he would do anything just to catch a glimpse of a smile on Annabeth's face, but he knew that his wish is a bit absurd. How can he see his girlfriend if she's living in the underworld now?

Chaos snapped the hero out of his thoughts by shaking him softly, still looking at the hero with worried eyes "Perseus, are you okay?" She asked again, clutching his face between her hands. Percy just cried and hugged her like there is no tomorrow. Chaos could only hold the hero close while gently rubbing his back and whispering soothing words, letting the hero cry on her shoulder, and letting him release the pent up emotions inside him since he decided to stop showing anything outside of his self a month ago.

Chaos didn't know if it had been minutes or hours, but the sobs that racked the hero's body has finally subsided and she find herself full of a tired and worn out hero, clutching at her night gown like a child seeking a mother's comfort when they feel scared about something "It would all be alright, Perseus" Chaos whispered while combing back his hair

Perseus looked at her for the first time since he decided to lock himself inside his cage "Make it go away" he whispered while looking at Chaos with sorrowful eyes.

Chaos frowned and wiped the few tears that managed to slip out of his eyes "You're the only one who can fight your demons, child. I can only support you and care for you. Nothing else" she murmured while rocking the hero gently. A few tears slipped out of her eyes, her poor hero. If she can just take away the demons of his past, she will. But she can't, all she can do is make sure that the hero won't completely break from fighting the demons that his sorrow created.

Perseus could only cry and clung onto the creator, wishing for his pain to disappear. He was at his limit, he has been suffering for so long that he has forgotten what happiness is. Even when he was alive, and even when he died. All he could feel was pain. Nothing else. Perseus could only cry out his pain and sorrow, what has he done to deserve this? What sin did he commit to experience this kind of pain? All he ever did was love with all his heart without asking for anything in return. He just wanted to be happy, was that too much to ask?

Perseus cried and cried until he couldn't anymore. Slumping forward, Chaos embraced the hero and gently lay him down while looking at the hero who was slowly closing his eyes. Chaos smiled and kissed the boy's forehead "Sleep" she muttered while pulling back and going out of the room. Perseus watched the creator leave with half lidded eyes, before his head lolled back on the pillow. Closing his eyes, the hero willingly goes with the darkness, the darkness that could temporarily take away his pain.

Chaos was slightly humming on her way back to her room. The hero was finally speaking to her; she had managed to figure out what the hero has been holding inside himself. If this continues, then maybe... just maybe, he could heal and get over his past. The only problem right now was her grandson. She sighed and quickly turn around to go back to the room of her grandson.

Stopping in front of the golden doors of his grandson's room, Chaos took a deep breath and raised her hand to knock when she heard an unmistakably sound of something crashing from the other side of the door. Acting on impulse, she threw the door open only to see her grandson swaying on his feet while clutching his head tightly. Hearing the sound of his doors opening, Kronos' head snapped up and Chaos gasped when she was met with dark red eyes instead of golden eyes "END" she growled

Kronos' mouth twisted up "My dear sister" he started while straightening his stance "I must say..." he trailed off while walking towards Chaos who was looking furious and wary at the same time. How dare her brother go for her grandson again?! Hadn't he learned his lesson?!! Chaos would always triumph over her brother... always.

"I have missed you... dearly" End said while trailing his fingers down on Chaos' face. Chaos in return only glared and slapped the hands away, she wasn't guilty that she was being rude or cold to Kronos... no.... she was being rude to her sick brother, End.

End stared at her and smirked "Don't be so cold, sister dearest. After all, I have come and payed you a visit" he drawled while picking up the picture of Kronos and Rhea, gazing at it with glee in his eyes. He must have heard word of Rhea rejecting Kronos after Chaos brought her back.

"You leave my grandson alone, End" Chaos growled while clenching her fist. If her bastard of a brother doesn't leave her grandson alone, she will drag him out by force if she had to.

End traced his fingers on his face while smiling sickly at Chaos "I must say, your grandson is still very handsome" the way he said that made Chaos sneered with disgust, her brother still fancied his grandson... after all this time. End had loved watching his grandson suffer over and over again, and had built an interest for the Titan. Chaos doesn't have a problem with homosexuals, but she had a big problem with her bastard of a brother playing with her grandson as if Kronos was some kind of toy.

"Get your filthy consciousness out of my grandson!" Chaos snapped while glaring at her brother who was smiling so sickly at her direction

End pouted and slowly traced his hands down until both hands rested on his neck, gripping it tightly he smirked at his sister "Say sister dearest.... would you like to bet?"

Chaos growled and was about to marched over when End tsk at her "No no no, move from there and I'll snap his neck before you can even blink your eyes" he said while smirking at Chaos with her grandson's face "Tell me what you need quickly... before I lose my patience and kick you out off Kronos" Chaos doesn't like conflict, and would try to solve the matter with not harming anyone, but it was proving impossible with her brother taunting her like this. How dare he use her grandson against her?!

End smirked at her and released his neck while clapping his hands together "Would you like to bet?" He asked again while grinning menacingly

Chaos wariness increased. What was her brother planning now?

"What bet?" She growled while looking at her brother with hate

End smirked "A bet that your little hero would fall into my hands"

Chaos felt her fury exploding inside her, before her brother could react, she was standing before him and was lifting him off the ground with her hand wrapped around his neck

"I dare you to lay a hand on Perseus and you will suffer the consequences. I have been far too kind to you for many millennia, for you were my brother. But heed my warning, brother. I would kill you and throw you in the deepest part of the void if I had to" Chaos spat while tightening her hand around his throat.

Chaos was no longer seeing her grandson, but her brother who betrayed his family for power. Chaos was seeing the murderer of her father and mother.

After her coronation as queen of all, Chaos has started creating things out of nothing, placing them on the universe that she had managed to protect until now.

At the beginning of time, there was only goodness. And Chaos was proud of her creations and so were her parents, but her brother End didn't like it one bit that she got the crown and was being worshipped instead of him. End confronted their parents to ask them why they chose Chaos as the heir when he was a much better choice.

Their parents only said that he wasn't fit to be ruler, and that had set End off. He was the oldest out of them and he was not fit to be king?! Out of spite, he attacked their parents and killed them with his bare hands. Chaos' father and mother were still weakened from passing almost all of their powers to Chaos and couldn't do anything to protect themselves against the wrath of Chaos' brother. Knowing of his crimes, Chaos had banished his brother from her kingdom. She hated him from what he had done, but not that much to kill him. So she let her brother roam the universe, and that was her mistake. Her brother created things of his own to destroy her creations. That was the start of having darkness and light at the same time.

Chaos was having a hard time coping with something she hadn't created and had grown ill for a short period of time. Her children took care of her and had managed to revert her back to her old self, but Chaos was a little different from the time she created the world. Chaos had also accepted the darkness of the world, and had managed to control it, before it had gotten out of hand. Knowing of this, her brother End turned furious. Darkness was his domain; he couldn't believe that his sister would even take that away from him!!

Chaos was snapped out of her thoughts when she felt something clawing at her hand weakly. She looked up and saw the golden eyes of her grandson looking at her with pain. Gasping, Chaos immediately let go. Kronos crumpled on the floor, gasping for breath "I'm sorry" Chaos said while helping her grandson stand "Are you okay? Did I hurt you too much? How much pain are you feeling?" She asked frantically, while inspecting Kronos' throat.

Chaos' eyes filled with tears when she saw the beginning of a bruise appearing on her grandson' neck "Sorry, I didn't mean to" she whispered while slowly touching Kronos' throat

Kronos only smiled and patted her grandma's shoulder "I'm okay" he croaked out. Chaos was still worried about what she had done, but she has to know what happened to make Kronos fall into so much despair that her brother End had managed to possess him

"Dear" Chaos called out while cupping Kronos' cheek and looking at him in the eyes "What happened?"

It was a simple question, but Kronos caught up into what her grandma was asking. What happened that Kronos fell into so much sorrow and despair that End managed to possessed him. Kronos was not weak, but for End to easily posses his body was very unnerving. Kronos would never give in that easily to darkness, after all what happened to him when he had let the darkness swift him away. He just wouldn't let that happen. Kronos tried to look away, but Chaos was not having any of that. She firmly grabbed his face and gave Kronos a stern look "Kronos, I have to know what happened. What had caused this?"

Kronos gulped down his anxiousness and looked at the worried eyes of his grandma "W-why didn't you tell me?" He asked instead of answering Chaos' question.

Chaos looked at Kronos with perplexity "What?"

"Why didn't you tell me he was here?!" Kronos yelled while tears spilled down his cheeks. Chaos stared with shock at her grandson. What did he mean by 'he'? Slowly thinking about it, she came up with an answer that made her freeze over. How did he found out? Then she remembered, when she was coming to visit Perseus a while ago, she had saw the door slightly ajar and heard Perseus crying. She hadn't minded it, because her first concern was Perseus.

Chaos felt her throat drying up "I-I..." she couldn't bring herself to tell her grandson the real reason about why the hero was here. About how she love the hero to the point that she had even brought him back from the dead. But, she can't also bring herself to lie to her grandson. Chaos was torn between lying or telling the truth, coming to a conclusion, she sighed mentally and decided to tell the truth. Lying won't get her anywhere.

Kronos was looking at Chaos with teary eyes, waiting for her to answer his question.
Chaos smiled and stood up to sit down on Kronos bed "Come here, dear" she said while patting the empty space beside her. Kronos wiped his tears away and sat down next to his grandma. Chaos hummed and patted her grandson's knee "Kronos, what I'm about to tell you is something that you should keep only to yourself, okay?"

Kronos frowned "Why?" Surely, the reason wouldn't be that bad, right?

Chaos juts gave Kronos a sad smile "Because... by telling you this, I'm breaking a promise I had made to myself"

Kronos didn't understand but nodded his head. Chaos smiled and looked away from her grandson, gazing at the wall in front of her "Perseus is here, because he believes that he doesn't have a home anymore" she explained, waiting for the question that was about to come. She was going to just spout some types of confusing explanations, she didn't care if it will take them a decade to finish, it was a much better choice than recalling so quickly at what happened to the hero.

Kronos frowned and cocked his head to the side, looking extremely confused "I don't understand. What do you mean?"

Chaos sighed "Perseus has been abandoned by his—" Chaos cut herself off, she didn't think that she would feel this much sorrow just by recalling what happened. And she is just being indirect about it all!! She took a deep breath "his father and friends"

Kronos could only gape with shock.

What?

"No" he said, shaking his head "You're lying. My son would never do that to his child. He's too kind to do that" Kronos explained, his hands trembling, his son would never do that, right? And besides, many people love the hero too much. Poseidon is a good boy; he would never do something that might hurt Percy. He would never.... right?

Chaos felt her lips trembling "It's true!!" She exclaimed while clenching her hands in her lap "Poseidon.... he was the one.... he was the one" she said, feeling tears slip out of her eyes "He was the one who took Perseus' life away" So much for the plan of dragging the topic...

"STOP LYING!" Kronos yelled while standing up from his sit beside Chaos, his hands were clenched into fists, and his shoulder was slightly trembling. "IF YOU ARE TO LIE, MAKE SURE TO MAKE IT AS REAL AS POSSIBLE. YOU'RE JUST MIXING MY STORY UP WITH HIS TO MAKE HIM LOOK PITIFUL. TELL ME THE TRUTH, SO I CAN UNDERSTAND HIM BETTER. STOP RUINING MY SON BECAUSE YOU'RE ANGRY!!"

Chaos stood up as well, feeling the tears sliding down her cheeks "I'M TELLING YOU THAT IT'S THE TRUTH. PERSEUS DIED, OKAY?! AND HE DIED BY HIS FATHER'S HAND!!" She knew that her grandson's reaction would be bad, but she didn't think it would be this horrible.

"I knew that you wouldn't believe me even if I told you. You put too much faith in your children that it sometimes irritates me. Well, let me tell you something. Perseus was like that as well, he had put too much faith and trust on his father and friends, to the point that he had ended up broken..." Chaos choked out, feeling big fat tears rolling down her cheeks

"Perseus had suffered so many times that even I can't count how many. He had lost his family in the most gruesome way; he didn't even get to say his goodbye. Right after that, he lost his lover. Do you know how much pain and hopelessness he felt when he had watch the child of Athena die?! Do you know how he felt, holding the body of his lover while the life leave her eyes?! All of these are partially Poseidon's fault!! He had spouted about loving Perseus and his mother but he easily threw them away like some yesterday's thrash!! He had easily replaced the son that had almost given everything up just to make him happy!! Poseidon had a chance to protect Percy, but he didn't take that chance. Instead, he encouraged the others to make his son suffer... do you really know how much pain Perseus is feeling right now?"

Kronos stayed quiet and Chaos could only give a bitter laugh "You don't know anything about what he has been through. You think that this is all about you and your children? I could care less about those arrogant fools along with their children, but what they did to the boy was so horrible that he had put the blame all on his self. To the point that he begged me once to kill him. To make him feel eternal pain. Do you think that this was easy for the hero? He has been thinking for a month that he is a monster!
He has been suffering for nearly two months now, and just as I thought that I had solve a problem. You go and think that everything I did for the hero was my way of making you see that your children are horrible. I know that you are also healing, but can you stop and think about that maybe... just maybe, someone is out there, suffering more than you"

Chaos wiped her tears away and marched out of his grandson's room. She had not plan for them to fight, but he was being selfish and putting all the blame on someone who hasn't done anything wrong. Out of impulse, she had acted out of her emotions. She had thought that she had forgiven the Gods and their children... but she guess, that she also needs time to fully forget their wrong doings on the hero.

Chaos sighed and was about to head for her room to sleep her stress out for the night when she stopped when she remembered something. She sighed angrily and marched towards her office instead of her room. She really needs to find an assistant to assist her with those files. Slamming the office door open, she marched towards her drawer and pulled out the new case that came in. Chaos' brows furrowed the more she read it.

Reading it all, Chaos felt herself gong weak on the knees. The case was about some rebels managing to slip past the security of the Milky Way, and is currently heading towards earth.

"Oh my God" she murmured while dropping the case and running for Perseus room. She doesn't know what came over her, but she suddenly had the urge to see the hero. She was feeling panicky, this has never happened before; the rebels didn't had an interest in earth before. So why now? Though the rebels will take more than a century to arrive on earth, it is still very unnerving for Chaos, how can such people get past her most advanced security? But still... How did they even get past her?! Unless... they had someone to help them sneak past Chaos' security system.

Chaos' thoughts flashed back to her brother End possessing her grandson, and everything clicked

"End" she growled lowly, feeling anger bubbled inside her.

He was beginning to make his move. Chaos felt herself grow nervous, for many centuries now, End has been building his army, and has been consuming some of her creations to make it his own. But, he has never been this upfront when it comes to declaring war against her. End has wage war against Chaos once and had lost the battle, knowing that he will lost he flee the battle to build another set of army for another war.

Chaos knew that winning that last galactic war would not be her last war, she knew that her brother would not rest until she is dethroned. Chaos knew that the time for another galactic war was nearing, but she didn't think that it would be this soon.

Opening the door to Perseus' room. Chaos saw Perseus tossing his head in his sleep while mumbling something Chaos couldn't understand. Walking closer, Chaos leaned down and was about to shake the hero awake "No... please.... give them back... I need them" he mumbled while tears leaked out of the corner of his eyes

"They're my friends..." he whispered, his hands twitching and his closed eyes releasing torrent of tears

Chaos felt sadness tugged at her gut. She did this. If she hadn't interfered, then the hero wouldn't have to suffer like this. She caressed his face while tears slipped out of her eyes

"I'm sorry, my boy" she murmured, feeling her heart squeezed itself a bit when the hero released a small cry. She had thought that the hero was healing, but he was still far from it.

"No more... please... stop it" Perseus mumbled, still tossing and turning in his sleep. He was sweating a lot and tears were continuously slipping out of his eyes. Chaos released a low whimper of distress before she wiped the tears that managed to slip out of her eyes. Watching the hero like this made her think of an idea that might anger her daughters, but she thinks that it will be more than worth it.

She shook the hero gently "Perseus" she called softly

Perseus shot up with a gasp, his hands gripping Chaos' hand tightly. Chaos felt herself wince a little at the vice like grip on her hand "Perseus" she softly called out again, her other hand reaching out to caress the face of the hero "It's okay. I'm here" she whispered

"Chaos... I.... they..... mad.... hate" Perseus stumbled out between his hiccups. Chaos hugged him closer to her, feeling sorrow in her heart. The once brave hero who stood in front of thousands of demigod with pride as their leader, has now been reduced to a fragile child because of the envy someone.

Chaos shushed him while combing back his hair gently "Hush now, child. I'm here now" she murmured

"Mom.... Annabeth... Luke... Everybody hates me!" Perseus cried, clutching at Chaos' nightgown. Chaos felt herself sigh mentally. Just a few moments ago, the hero was as good as he could ever be in his situation. But now... they were back to square one.

The hero was more unstable that she thought he would be, losing so many important people must have triggered this kind of behavior. To top it all off, he died seeing only disgust in his father's face. Chaos kissed the hero's forehead and patted his back soothingly "No one hates you, dear"

Perseus just continued crying, he was so tired. Tired of fighting, tired of hoping, tired of believing that he will heal. And most of all, he was tired of living a life that he doesn't deserve.

"I'm so tired" he cried, feeling his eyes explode in pain for crying too much

Chaos felt herself panic; he was falling into so much distress. If this continues, End will have Perseus. Chaos was about to open her mouth to say something when the door banged open. Chaos snapped her head towards the door and saw her grandson standing there, his golden eyes gleaming with regret and determination. Chaos was about to open her mouth to reprimand her grandson that now was not the time

"You can't!" Kronos exclaimed, marching towards the bed

"I can't?" Perseus asked his voice scratchy and husky from crying out for too long. He was looking at the Titan with a pained and confused expression

Chaos glared at him "Kronos" she hissed "Cease this at once" she whispered angrily. Chaos doesn't need her grandson voicing out his negative thoughts in front of the hero.

Kronos only shook his head and took a deep breath before he sat down beside Chaos and Perseus. Reaching out, he patted the hero's hair gently

"What I'm saying is that you cannot give up on life. Do you know how many souls would kill just to have your place?" Kronos asked, looking at the now hiccupping hero.

He felt his self smile. He was just like Poseidon when he was a kid, though he couldn't see them grow up literally. He had a year to see them grow up before he ate them. Poseidon has always been a cry baby when he was a child. Always crying about simple things. Though it might have been normal, since Poseidon was only a year old then.

"Then, they can take it" Perseus muttered while leaning against Chaos. Kronos frowned and lightly smack him on the head "You can't just give away your life. That is a gift from the creator and the fates. You must treasure it"

Perseus didn't respond, making Kronos sigh "Can I ask you a question, Perseus?"

Perseus nodded his head "Do I look evil to you?" Kronos asked.

It was a random question, but Kronos needs to prolong the conversation. The more he talks, the more Perseus will have the urge to respond. And that was his goal. The first step into breaking out of your sorrow and distress is to talk to someone about your problems and the cause of your distress. And the hero's number one problem is that he doesn't like to talk about his past. When you asked him directly about what happened, Perseus will just shut down or cry, at least that was what he had observed and heard about from Chaos.

Kronos can help the hero, he knows he can. They were more alike, whether they like it or not. They feel pain from something that had happened to them in the past. They feel the exact sorrow because of what they had been accused of in the past. They share the same pain through different events.

Perseus shook his head and Kronos didn't bother to make him talk. Sooner or later, he will. Kronos just have to be patient.

"Did I looked evil to you when you first saw me?" Perseus twitched at the question.

Chaos was observing the situation with relieved eyes. Perseus had stopped crying and was communicating with his grandson, though he was not talking like he was a few moments ago.

Perseus nodded his head and Kronos nodded at the answer. He did look really evil then. Killing and using people as he wished. But he was not him at that time; he was being controlled like a puppet

"Did you ever feel resentment towards me when I took away your friends?" Kronos saw the twitch again and he felt himself grin. Kronos was beginning to fire the real questions that might lead the hero to talk. The first question was just a diversion for the hero to calm down a bit. And so far, the hero was reacting to his questions.

Perseus shook his head again and Kronos raised a brow. He knew that his grandson was kind and forgiving, but he did at least expect a nod for that question. He did take away his friends' life and had been playing with him when they fought. Normally, people would tend to feel hatred for that person, even just a tiny little bit. But it seems like his grandson is different from the rest.

"Why?" Kronos asked, feeling the curiosity inside him flare up. Perseus opened his mouth and closed it again, as if he was hesitating to talk "Because I saw it in your eyes" he said softy

Kronos scrunched his eyebrows at that "What did you see?"

Perseus lifted his hand and pointed at his eyes "You were crying"

Kronos and Chaos gasped. Did he mean... "What do you mean, dear?" Chaos asked, the fact that the hero was now talking long forgotten

Perseus frowned and dropped his hand on his lap "It was only a flicker. But, I saw the pain and sorrow in his eyes when we were fighting"

Kronos felt tears sliding his cheek. This boy never ceases to amaze him. Despite of all the chaos back then, he managed to see past the dark him and saw the real him. His grandson was just amazing in so many different levels. Before the hero could react, Kronos tugged him close and hugged him tightly. For many years, no one had seen the real him, and had believed that he had betrayed the royal family. But, his grandson saw him... the real him and had forgave him for what he did in the past.

Perseus looked confused but returned the hug. For the first time in a month, he felt himself smile against the shoulder of his grandpa. He doesn't know why, but he suddenly felt so serene. Like all his problems had been washed away. Then he decided that Kronos was good for him. He understands him, Perseus doesn't know why he came up with this, but he knows that the Titan can heal him.

Chaos was smiling and her hands were covering her mouth to stop the shout of delight from coming out. Perseus was smiling, Kronos was finally forgiving himself, and lastly they had managed to resolve their problems. Speaking of problems, Chaos remembered the case about earth, she would deal with it. But right now, she was going to enjoy the scene in front of her.

Watching the two made her remember her idea about helping Perseus heal. Chaos sighed and mentally patted her back for support. Now was the best time to say it. Now that Perseus was feeling happy and content at the moment.

Chaos cleared her throat, making the two boys in front of her look at her. Chaos smiled and opened her mouth to say it. She just hoped that this idea would help the hero. Because by doing this, she is risking her good terms with the fates. They would forgive her eventually, but they would really put up a fight before they forgive her. And Chaos doesn't like her children mad at her.
