It seemed like Division 1 had heard FLASHLIGHT the other day as they gave them a free weekend.
It'd be their last weekend before the reality show started, meaning it'd be their last comfortable days for about a month or so.
Boram, Jaein and Remi were leaving the town to visit their families. As of Annie...well, her parents and sister are in Canada, and apparently her brother had a shooting, so she wouldn't be able to spend some time with him. He did say Annie could go to the set, but she didn't want to be a burden.
Because of that, she chose to volunteer at the cat shelter she had gone to a few times before debuting.
Annie went to the pet shop to buy a few items, then also got coffee for the staff.
"Bye, Yujin! Thanks for taking me even on your day off."
She hopped out of the car.
"No problem, Haerim. Call me if you need anything!"
The manager drove away and Annie nervously entered the place.
"Hi...uh...I'm Ahn Haerim...I'm a volunteer...and a brought a few things too."
"Oh, hello! Nice to meet you! I just need your volunteer card and then you're good to go!"
The woman spoke in a lively tone, but that didn't ease Annie.
Shoot. My card. I didn't get it, did I?
"Uhm...I forgot my card..."
"Ah...then, do you have your ID with you?"
"...And that's why we had to take her somewhere else, but she's going to be fin- Haerimmie! Long time no see, oh my God! I thought you wouldn't come anymore!"
An old lady entered the room, immediately noticing the girl.
"O-oh, Mrs. Park, hello! I've been busy, sorry."
Annie answered the lady and glanced at the figure beside her.
"Ah, you don't know each other! Minho, this is Ahn Haerim, she started helping a few months ago and now she's back! Haerim, this is Lee Minho, he's been helping since 2018, but weirdly you two never met each other!"
She laughed while the two smiled awkwardly.
"Haerim?"
Lee Know wrinkled his brows.
"It's a pretty name, right?"
The old lady commented.
"Ah. Yeah."
He forced a smile.
"Well- Haerimmie, did you bring all of those things?"
Mrs. Park pointed at the 3 bags and one box of coffee.
"Ah...yes...it's been a while since I've visited, so I thought I shouldn't come empty handed."
She laughed shyly.
"Thank you, sweetie! Minho honey, can you help her take the bags to the storage room?"
The two stared at each other, secretly laughing at the nicknames.
"Don't worry, kids! You'll get along, I know."
With all respect, Mrs.Park, you know nothing.
Following the lady's order, they got the bags and walked to the storage room, not speaking a word, just giving each other glares from time to time.
"Why did you have to come to this shelter?"
He started.
"Why did you come here?"
Minho sighed.
"Don't you have any friends? Why don't you go visit your family?"
"I may be rich but I don't have money to spend on a one day trip to Canada, honey."
She grinned through her teeth.
"Hon- Don't ever call me that again, it's disgusting."
Annie scoffed.
"Okay, honey."
As Minho was about to curse at her, Mrs. Park showed up.
"We need help with the kittens, can you two come?"
"Of course! Let's go, sweetie."
He smiled with anger in his eyes.
"Woah, you got close really fast, I'm so glad! Wait, since you two are getting along pretty well already, I have another task."
The old lady happily smiled, while the two wished they could tell her to shut up.
"Annie brought a lot of food, but we're in need of hygiene products too, can you go get them? You can use my son's car, the market is around 10 minutes away."
Mrs. Park, you're really nice and all but please...
Almost one minute passed by and neither of them said a word.
"Is it too much? I'm sorry, I'll go instead, I just thought you could do that."
"No!" "We'll go!"
Annie and Minho looked at each other surprised.
"Really??"
"Yes! We just have to get a few products, right? We'll go."
"Thank you, kids, I'll get the car key."
She left and the two were back to glaring at each other.
"Did you bring a mask?"
He asked.
"No? Wh- oh. But we're almost on the country side, you won't find fans."
Not caring much, Annie started leaving the room.
"What about your fans?"
"Man, I debuted a month ago, trust me, we won't bump into a fan, I barely have any."
She laughed it out.

They had been at the market for about 10 minutes now. The place was way bigger than they expected, so it was kind of hard to find the stuff they needed - plus, Annie kept exploring the store, which got Minho very annoyed, but deep down he was enjoying it too.
"Chips? Really?"
"I'll use my own money!"
She put the two bags inside the cart.
"Of course you will."
"Oh? Isn't that Annie?"
A subtle voice coming from behind caught their attention.
Lee Know raised his mask a little more, hoping they wouldn't care about his presence, while Annie turned back and quickly walked to the two girls.
"Oh my-" "Hi!"
"Hello!"
"You're from FLASHLIGHT, right? Can I get an autograph?"
The taller girl, who seemed to be around 16 years old, spoke first.
"Sure! Do you have a pen?"
The other one handed her a pen and a notebook.
"You must be an avid fan to recognize me from behind!"
Annie laughed awkwardly.
"Ah, it's because we saw your ON fancam lots of times!"
"Yes! We actually got to know FLASHLIGHT because of that stage."
So they're STAYs? That means...
"That's nice to hear! Here. I need to go now, take care, okay?"
She waved to the girls, slowly walking away.
As Annie was now at the end of the corridor, the two teens started whispering to themselves.
"Do you think they're dating?"
"Maybe they're good friends?"
