Flashlight was scheduled to perform in Japan for Kcon in three days, and they were about to catch a flight.
That was, if Remi hadn't lost her passport.
"Do you at least know if you brought it?"
Yujin asked, energy drained.
"Uh...I don't remember putting it in my bag, actually."
The other three girls looked in awe at her.
"Well, at least you didn't lose it outside."
"I'm gonna go back to the dorms to search for it. Sewoon, please guide the other girls inside if I don't call in 20 minutes, alright?"
The other manager nodded.
Fortunately, Sewoon had grown way more fond of the girls in two months than Dongchul had in ten.
"Should I go with you?"
Remi questioned with an apologetic smile.
"No, you stay here just in case it's in the airport."
Yujin rushed outside while the girls sat down.
"It's not our first time going abroad, how did you forget your passport??"
Boram asked, still in disbelief that her older friend would commit such a mistake.
"I don't know, I don't really plan on forgetting something, you know."
She deadpanned.
As the two youngest bickered, Annie grabbed her phone and texted her boyfriend, telling him they might not get on the same flight.
Two minutes later, he replied.
"Is her passport' cover perhaps a pastel pink?" – it read, and, despite being confused, the girl still asked her teammate.
"Yeah?"
The group stayed in silence while she kept on typing on her phone.
"Why do you ask? Did Yujin find it? No way, it hasn't even been five minutes..."
Suddenly, a gasp left Annie's mouth.
"You're dating Hyunjin?!"
She yelled and, thankfully, they were in an area where fans weren't allowed.
Everyone else, including the manager, stood in shock.
"What?"
"Minho said Hyunjin has it. You gave it to him so he could decorate it? As a gift?"
"Ah."
Annie covered her mouth with one hand.
"Since when?"
"We're not dating! We're just...we're friends."
"If you're saying that because of me, then you should've thought about a better excuse."
Sewoon raised an eyebrow while crossing his arms.
"It's true! You guys know me and him became close through dancing."
"So close you started developing feelings towards each other?"
Boram teased.
"Shut up, shortie. You can ask him, we're good friends only. He was telling me about how he painted something for Felix so I jokingly asked if he could do something for me too!"
"And he just said yes?"
"Yeah!"
The two oldest girls exchanged glances.
Maybe they weren't dating, but one clearly liked the other.
"Right. Well, I'm going to meet their manager to get the passport. Can any of you contact Yujin?"
"I will."
Annie raised her hand.
"Thank you, Annie. Please stay here, okay? I'll be back in a minute."
Sewoon smiled lightly before walking to the opposite side of the boarding area.
"So...does this mean we have another couple in the group?"
Boram said, bringing their attention back to the red haired girl.
"No! Why are you bothering me so much today? You wanna get hit, don't you?"
Remi playfully put her fist up.
"You annoy me every day and yet I never hit you."
"When do I annoy you!? I shower you with love every day and night!"
"Exactly."
Annie and Jaein laughed quietly as the youngest once again began bickering.
● ● ● ● ●
"Home sweet home!"
"It's a hotel."
Annie stared at her friend for three seconds before sighing and walking away to explore the room.
"Woah! Look at this bathroom!"
There was a marble sink with two faucets, a big mirror, a few cabinets and a white bathtub.
"This is bigger than my room, what the hell."
"I'm going to shower first, you can head out for dinner if you want to."
"Hm-hm, I'll organise my stuff as I wait."
Remi shook her head, leaving the bathroom.
Annie followed, going straight to her suitcase to grab a few new clothes.
"Woah...this is so cool."
The girl talked with herself, admiring the bathroom after closing the door.
Soon, she selected a nice playlist and hit "play", deciding to take a quick shower instead of a bath.
Once the second song was over, Annie stepped out, reaching for her towel.
Oh.
"Remi!! Can you bring me a towel, please? I forgot to take one."
She yelled, opening just a little crack of the door.
Some shuffling was heard from outside before a white towel appeared at the door.
"Thanks."
"You're welcome."
A deep voiced male spoke, and Annie immediately pushed the door.
"Damn, is this how you treat someone who did you a favour?"
"Minho? What the hell are you doing here?"
She recognised the voice, but still kept the door closed.
"I met Remi at the door and she let me in."
She left?
"Oh."
"So... would you like the towel or..?"
"Ah, right."
Before opening the door, she spoke again.
"Don't you dare push it all open."
"Woah! Is that what you think of me?"
Minho replied, seemingly offended.
"You're a man after all."
"Don't worry, I wouldn't want to see you like this. It's much more fun when I'm the one taking your clothes off one by one."
"You–"
Annie immediately opened the door and snatched the towel from his hand, leaving no time for him to even think about doing something.
"Pervert!"
She shouted from inside, making him laugh.
"As if you weren't doing the exact same thing to me a week ago."
He spoke with a subtle grin, recalling their first night together.
"Shut up??"
Minho laughed one more time.
"Hurry and put your clothes on."
"I wil–"
"So I can take them off later."
Annie opened her mouth, but only a scoff came out.
Knowing there was no winning against him, the girl hurriedly put a matching set of dark blue sweats on and left the bathroom.
"Hello, love."
He said with a smile while sitting on the bed, hands resting beside his body.
She stopped, staring judgingly at him.
"What?!"
"So you're gonna play the innocent now?"
"I am innocent, what did I do?"
Minho pouted while softly tilting his head.
Annie shook her head.
"Why did you come? I thought we were all meeting downstairs."
She started fixing her hair, back turned to him, but they could still see each other through the mirror.
"I wanted to see my girlfriend before anyone else."
She raised an eyebrow.
As much as they loved and missed each other, Annie could tell when her boyfriend was lying.
"Okay, alright! I exchanged rooms with Remi for a day."
"What?!"
"Our managers agreed, as long as it's only one day."
He continued, not minding his girlfriend's state.
"You mean– Huh? How?"
"Your friend seems to really like the idea of having a huge room for herself only."
Minho chuckled, remembering how quickly the younger one agreed once he mentioned he wasn't sharing a room with anyone.
"Woah, so she sold me?"
"Come on, don't act like you dislike it."
Annie cleared her throat.
"Let's have dinner first."
She stored all the hair products back on the suitcase.
"As you wish, love."
Minho offered his hand and she gladly held it.
"By the way..."
Annie hummed, signalling for him to continue.
"...did you know these rooms are soundproof?"
"Yeah, Channie told me we could record here, I'm probably going later."
He stopped his steps and stared at her, she looked back confused.
"What?"
A big smile formed on his face. Minho slowly used his free hand to hold her chin, then pecked her lips.
"What was that for?"
Annie suppressed a smile, looking at him with doe eyes.
"You're very cute sometimes."
She averted her gaze.
"Oh? Don't tell me you're shy?"
He followed her eyes with his whole body, smiling from ear to ear.
"Let's go before we miss dinner!"
Annie walked quickly in an attempt to get away from him, but their hands were still firmly holding onto each other.
"Yes, love."
Minho intertwined their fingers and the two took the elevator to the hotel's restaurant.
"Rim!"
Han got up from his seat and jogged to them, embracing the girl in a tight hug. She let go of her boyfriend's hands and hugged him back.
"Hey."
"I haven't seen you in ages! How have you been? How was the trip?"
Just as Annie came back a week ago from a one-week trip with her family, Han left to visit his, so they didn't see each other for two weeks.
"It was awesome! I brought you some Canadian snacks."
They laughed together, while the eldest just watched them happily.
He didn't get jealous of how often Annie and Han hugged anymore, he was rather happy his best friend and his girlfriend had such good chemistry.
As for Han, he had gotten over his feelings after he met a girl called Mia, and was content with the friendship now.
"You didn't bring me anything..?"
Minho questioned.
"I gave you something the day I got back."
"No, you di– oh."
He stopped himself before it got embarrassing.
"I'll refrain from asking. Hurry and get your plates, I've been waiting for you so I can get my dessert."
Han pushed them lightly, then walked back to his table.
"How can you mention that in front of other people?!"
Minho whisper-yelled.
"It's not like I told him the details of the night."
She shrugged, starting to fill her plate with various kinds of food.
"And you say I'm a pervert..."
"We'll find out tonight."
