"I cant believe this is actually happening ty."

"I know baby. I'm nervous." Tyler chuckled, fixing his tie and giving himself a final look in the mirror for last minute adjustments.

"you have your speech?" Josh asked, turning Tyler to him and straightening him up.

"yes its in my pocket." Tyler said, checking his back pocket for the paper.

"you're gonna do great." Josh set his hands on either side of his face, standing up on his tip toes to kiss him.

"I love you." Tyler sighed, setting their foreheads together.

"I love you too Tyler. thank you for sticking with me." Josh smiled.

"same goes for you. come on. lets go." Tyler motioned for the boys to head out to the school.

"bye boys. see you at the school. good luck Tyler." Kelly smiled, giving her baby a long hug.

"aw dont cry momma." Tyler said, rubbing the back of her head with his hand after he heard her sniffling.

"I can't help it. my boys growing up." she said, pulling her head back. Tyler looked into her teary eyes, his own tearing up.

"I love you Tyler." she said.

"I love you too mom. so much. I couldnt have done this without you." he said.

"aw guys, you're making me cry!" Josh said fanning his eyes.

"go," Kelly laughed. "get out of here before I break down."

Tyler laughed, grabbing Josh's hand and heading out to his truck.

they drove to the school. they got in their gowns, they lined up. it was time. they were graduating. they walked and talked to all their teachers before sitting down. this other girl gave her speech. Tyler stood up. it was Tyler's time.

he walked up to the stand. he turned around and damn, all his nerves went away when Josh gave him that thumbs up.

here it goes

"well guys. we did it. all of us. isnt that crazy to think about? I can remember walking into this high school for the first time in 6th grade. the first thought that went through my head was "I can't do this". little old Tyler coming into this huge school with big kids. I didnt have many friends. the only thing I really had was basketball and baseball. my grades started dropping and I started just not caring anymore. I just focused on basketball, baseball, basketball, baseball. mom would yell and yell at me to get my grades up but I didnt care. i pushed it off. I thought; 'I'm only in middle school. grades don't even matter. school doesnt matter'. one day, I got called out to stay after class, scary right? I'll never forget this conversation between me and this teacher," Tyler glanced quickly at his 6th grade math teacher, Mrs. Collins who had teary eyes. "she talked to me. she helped me. she showed me and explained how important school was, and that I can separate work and sports. that teacher took time out of her day to talk to me. not because the principal asked her to. not because she had to. it was because she cared. she cared about me. and that's all I needed. just someone to care for me and tell me straight up what I needed to here. and that's a good example of the staff at this school. this teacher, and all my other teachers would help me, answer all my questions, stay after with me and work with me. and now I'm graduating honors and scholarships. I honestly thought I was gonna end up dropping out. these teachers, principals, hell, even the lunch ladies. huh? oh, my bad. oh I'm hearing I'm not supposed to say that word. I'm sorry." Tyler said,. everyone laughing. Kelly and Chris were in tears. "I thank every single one of yall. this school has provided me with so much, like a counselor who helped me pick out a college, shout out to you Mrs. Scott," he pointed to her, "and teachers that never gave up on me like Mrs. Jones, love ya babe," he shot finger guns at her, ripping another laugh from the crowd. "and of course the best coach to ever exist, duh, shout out coach weakly. and of course all the relationships I've created like all my basketball friends, senior season boys," "WOOOOO" Tyler heard from all his senior basketball friends, him laughing along with everyone else. "and my best friend brendon, he told me i had to shout him out or he was gonna kill my mom." "THATS ME. I LOVE YOU TYLER." brendon yelled. the crowd was laughing loudly. " love you too, breadstick. and of course, my world, my everything, my Joshua who has also been a huge support. I love you baby. thank you." he turned around, waving at Josh who was crying. "he also threatened to kill my mom." he whispered. he started again, laughing. "and here I am today. graduating with the best class in the whole school. I just wanna say how proud I am to be graduating from worthington high. this school taught me so much and prepared me so well. like coach says, "you're gonna fail. you're gonna miss the game winning shot at least once. its gonna happen and theres nothing you can do about it. same goes for life. you're gonna shoot your shot, whether it be a job, a girlfriend/boyfriend, and you're gonna miss. and its gonna hurt and hurt. but when you miss a shot in a game do you sit your butt down and give up? no. you go on, you get that rebound and make the second shot, or you go back and you play defense. you block those bad shots. you steal that ball back and go for a fast break layup. and now I forgot what I was saying. but if you sit down after missing a shot I'm kicking you off the team."" the crowd laughed loudly at that one, coach weakley clapping. "yeah coach i see you tearing up. hey boys weakley's crying!!!!" the whole basketball team started laughing and cheering, coach waving them off and laughing. "yeah I remember that coach. I'll always remember that. just like I'll always remember this school.  ready to start my life with Josh and move on, but on the inside I'll always always be a warrior. congratulations boys and girls. we did it." the crowd erupted, cheering and clapping so loud for Tyler.

"thank you. thank you. oh, and by the way, I made all that up." Tyler waved them off, finishing off with everyone laughing. he went and sat back down. and that was it. they did it. they walked by and got their diplomas. they took pictures with everyone. everyone was crying. but they did it. they graduated.
