Tails' POV

It was just a normal day for me. After I made sure that Sonic was writing in his journal that I gave him I left for the hardware store. As I walked I relished the warmth of the sun and the chirping of the flickies in the trees. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes before I realized something was wrong.

Wait... Isn't it January 1st? I thought. Oh! Right. It's Spring-year!

Every 200 years we get a year where winter feels like spring. There's no snow, it's not cold, everything's green and such. This year was the only Spring-year I would witness so I enjoyed it thoroughly.

When I woke up from my reflection, I was surprised to find myself in front of my destination. I smiled and was about to go in when I heard a BAM from the center of the city. I sighed, thinking it was Dr. Eggman, and ran towards the sound as others ran away and hid.

As I got there I saw the usual pack of robots and a fat, bald, mustachioed man directing the bad-niks. I assets the situation before pulling back my right glove and pressing the Alarm. BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP! I then waited for the rest of the gang to show up.

Amy's POV

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP! I jumped as my communicator went off. I pulled down my glove and saw that Eggman was attacking Station Square! I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned around to see an employee.

"Uh, Miss? Could you turn that off? It's starting to get really annoying." He said.

I nodded my head and took off my jacket, revealing my pink fur. I heard a gasp as I summoned my Piko-Piko hammer and ran out the door towards Station Square. Along the way, I ran into Knuckles. Him and I ran towards the battle while others ran away.

Sonic's POV

BEE- I hit the snooze button after noticing Eggman was in Station Square. I didn't need the alarm. I then raced downstairs and out the door. I slammed the door behind me, attracting a few passersby but they probably got the just of what I was doing as I streaked down the street in a blue blur. I skidded to a halt when I reached my destination, saying 'hi' to the gang before rolling into a ball and smashing Eggheads robots.

"Ahh. Sonic! So nice of you to show up. Took you long enough!! MUAHAHA!!" 

I growled, uncurling, as Egghead laughed at his joke. Being called slow was the worst thing ever besides actually being slow and having to sit still and/or wait.

"Grr... EGGMAN!" I yelled. "When will you learn to just give up? I beat you every time!" I taunted. It was true!

"Well, Sonic. I came here to tell you something." Eggman gloated.

"Well, spill it!" I said, smashing another dozen of the fat doctor's robots with Tails.

Fine! Don't rush me Sonic! Or should I say... Maurice Wentworth Hedgehog?" Eggman retorted.

I stopped, my eyes widening in shock. I tried to say something but Eggman continued.

"Maurice... Maurice. Maurice Wentworth Hedgehog. At least you weren't lying about your last name." Eggman said, sounding like a father scolding their disobedient son.

"H-how would you know it's m-me? There are t-tons of hedgehogs with Hedgehog as a l-last name!" I stuttered.

"Well, let's see. Shall we?" Eggman pouted while pulling out a piece of paper. "Hmm Gender: Male... Date of Birth: June 23, 1983. Place of Birth: Christmas Island... yadda yadda... Ooh! Mother: Ber-" Eggman couldn't finish his sentence as I jumped onto his Egg Mobile and attempted to grab my birth certificate. 

"Give it back!" I shouted as Eggman pulled it out of my reach and knocked me down to the ground.

"No can do Maurice!" Eggman taunted. By now the rest of the gang had destroyed all the robots and Mobians had come out of hiding. I pinned my ears to my head as I heart the laughter and jeering coming from the crowd.

"DO. NOT. CALL. ME. MAURICE!!!!" I yelled through clenched teeth. "AND GIVE ME BACK MY BIRTH CERTIFICATE!!"

Eggman's next words were drowned out by a dark voice.

Let me out! We both know that I can get our certificate back AND end his pathetic life!

Shut up Cinos! I said in my mind.

Come on, Sonic! I haven't been out in a while! Besides... Egghead here needs to be taught a lesson. I can teach it to him!

NO! Though that does sound intriguing, but you'll just terrorize everyone afterward!

COME ON! PLEASE??

"No!" I shouted in real life. "Shut up! Shut Up! SHUT UP!" I roared. That shut everyone up. "Give me back my certificate. Now! Or else..." I threatened, my fur already turning a darker, navy blue.

"Hmm... NOPE!" I growled and fell onto my need. I struggled to keep Cinos in, but I was just SO angry! 

"No... Knuckles! Cinos!" Was all I managed to say before I blacked out.

(Still Sonic's POV.)

He should be waking up by now...

Sonic! Wake up, please!

C'mon Sonic! Fight it!

"Mmm... G-guys?" I murmured as my eyes cracked open a sliver.

"Sonic?" Someone said.

"T-tails?" I asked, barely recognizing the yellow blob above me.

"Guys! Sonic's awake!" Tails shouted, turning around and disappearing from sight.

My eyes opened and my vision cleared a bit as red, pink, and yellow blobs returned.

"Mmm... what happened?" I said as I tried to get up. I started freaking out as I found I couldn't get up. I asked why and Tails looked scared as he responded.

"Well, you turned into Cinos, stole your birth certificate, tried to kill Eggman and everyone who was listening. All before knuckles was able to knock Cinos out. Then while Cinos was still out, Knuckles brought you here and we had to strap Cinos down. Then he turned back to you. And you've been here for the last two(2) hours..."

"What?" I asked. Tails sighed.

"The whole city knows now. And us. How come you didn't tell anyone about your evil side?" Amy butted in.

"Well... I didn't want to worry you guys. Besides, Knuckles is able to keep Cinos in check by lending me Chaos energy when I get negative vibes or really overwhelmed." I explained in a mutter.

"Oh." Was all Amy and Tails had to say.

"Now, Amy if you'll excuse us, I need to talk to Tails and Knuckles. Alone." I added, noticing Amy's expression.

"Fine..." She pouted as she walked out the door.

"Knuckles?" I asked, motioning towards the door.

"Gladly!" Knuckles responded, lightly punching the door which emitted a squeak of surprise and a 'Fine!' from Amy.

"Thanks. Now Tails, Could you maybe, un-strap me?" I asked.

"Huh! Oh, sure, Sonic!" Tails said, pressing a button that opened the cuffs of metal pinning me down. "Now, what is it you want to talk about?"
