Chapter XXVIII

Mr. Lam, or now called Nathan when not in school, was helping Eleanora make dinner as they both checked the stew in the pot. Deciding that it still needed some steaming, they both set on other tasks. Eleanora started to set the table for three, while Nathan prepared the Ceaser's Salad to go along with their pot roast.

"At what time did Apollyon say he'd be back?" Nathan inquired to Eleanora, who was now sitting at the table.

"Last when I called, he was just closing up the shop." Eleanora informed while drumming her fingers against the table top. "He sounded really happy."

"Any idea what he is working on?"

"Nope. He is very good at keeping information hidden." Eleanora stated as Nathan chuckled.

They both lapsed into a comfortable silence as they set up the table, both of them settling down at the table as they waited for Apollyon. Suddenly Eleanora's vision became black as she sat up straight in surprise, but a smile formed on her lips as she felt soft lips press against the side of her head.

Her vision went back to color again as Apollyon removed his hands from her eyes, as she noticed Nathan smiling at the two.

"Hey there." Apollyon greeted with a grin as he pecked her lips.

"Hi." She smiled shyly in response as he removed his coat and slung it over the back of the vacant seat. "Should we dig in?"

"Definitely! I'm starved!" Apollyon grinned as he grabbed Eleanora's plate before she could protest and dug into the salad first before stuffing the plate with roast and putting it in front of her again. Eleanora gave him a dirty look as he stuffed his plate with food next before digging in.

"How was both of your day?" Apollyon inquired to his girlfriend and teacher.

"Good." Nathan responded. "She took her medications on time and slept for two hours during the afternoon."

"We went out for a walk-and yes I was sufficiently dressed." Eleanora informed. "We grabbed a cup of coffee on our way back, then we sat and watched some T.V before we started on dinner."

"Okay." Apollyon nodded after swallowing. "You didn't overexert yourself or something?"

"No." Nathan smiled at his concern. "I ensured to force her to walk really slow."

"How was your day?" Eleanora inquired to Apollyon once she rolled her eyes in Nathan's direction.

"It was good." He grinned. "Jack wants to give me a raise for all my great work, and today, this guy with this Ferrari comes to the shop, asking for me."

"Really?" Eleanora inquired in interest. "What did he want?"

"Two things." Apollyon stated. "One: To figure out what was wrong with the Ferrari. It needed an oil change. Two: He wanted me to model for him."

Instantly both Eleanora and Nathan started to choke on their food as Apollyon looked at them in concern. Taking a sip of their water, they settled down their coughing fits before turning to Apollyon incrediously. "He what?"

"He wanted me to model for him." Apollyon informed again. "Said he had been watching me and wanted me to model for him."

"What did you say?" Eleanora inquired in shock.

"I told him no." He stated as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.

Nathan and Eleanora looked at each other with open mouths before turning back to Apollyon. "Why?"

"For starters: It was in Quebec, and there is no way that I am leaving. Second: I like my job at the garage and I'm getting a raise, I like to get dirty in oil grease and fix cars that are beyond repair, only to prove everyone wrong. Third: I am not getting naked in front of a camera."

"Are you sure?" Nathan inquired curiously. "Last I heard they payed a lot of money."

"Nathan." Apollyon stated as if though he were talking to a little child. "Do you think that I am doing the job at the garage for money? Because let me assure you, I have enough of that. I don't care about the money, and I am not willing to become someone's personal dress up doll just for the heck of it. No, thank you."

"Eleanora, talk to him." Nathan stated as he thought that it seemed like a beneficial job that would get the bills payed.

"If he doesn't want to do it, then I am not going to force him into anything." Eleanora shrugged. "It's his decision, not mine." Apollyon smirked at Nathan as they continued to eat in silence.

"How are Mrs. Scott and Elliot?" Apollyon inquired to Nathan, who momentarily stopped chewing as he sighed tiredly.

"They are still in denial." He groaned while rubbing a hand over his face. "Both of them are refusing to accept it or talk about it. They are acting like it never happened and that Eleanora isn't even there."

"One day I will literally give them a piece of my mind. It's been one and a half month." Apollyon growled under his breath. "Unbelievable."

Eleanora started to shift around the food in her plate as she seemed to have lost her appetite at the revelation, and both Apollyon and Nathan noticed as they knew that she needed to finish her food.

"Hey, Eleanora." Apollyon called out her attention as she looked up to meet his gaze. "How about you drop by the garage some time during the week? All the guys have been insisting on meeting you, and Jack has been asking about you."

"How does that sound? I'm sure you'd like to check it out as well." Apollyon smiled at her broadly as she couldn't help but grin back.

"Yeah, I'd like that." She nodded with a smile as they finished their meal.

Once they all had finished with dinner, Nathan helped them clear the table before he took his leave. Apollyon told Eleanora to go lie down as he had the dishes. Reluctantly, she nodded before making her way into their bedroom. Changing into her sleepwear, she got under the covers as she read a book. During her reading, Apollyon had come inside and smiled as he noticed her to be engrossed in the story. He placed a kiss on the top of her head before he made his way outside, and onto the balcony in order to smoke a cigarette.

Eleanora had glanced up from her book to look outside as she noticed Apollyon leaning his back against the railing as he had tipped his head back with the cigarette between his lips. Taking it out, he blew out the smoke into the air in front of him. Shaking her head, Eleanora returned to her book.

Apollyon stepped back into the room after some while and rubbing his hands together due to the cold. He told Eleanora that he was gonna head off for a shower as she nodded behind her book, causing him to chuckle at her lack of response. Stepping into the washroom, he closed the door behind him and locked the doors, before the sound of the water rushing could be heard.

Placing her bookmark between the pages, she sighed and put it away. Laying down on her side she watched Sebastian jump onto the bed and curl beside her as she scratched the cat behind its ear while smiling down at it. This little kitten has been her companion since she was 17, and will now be turning 1 years old with her on her birthday. Sebastian purred against her as it curled under her chin, purring in content. The sound of the door opening had Eleanora glance up.

Apollyon stepped out of the washroom in a pair of dark sweatpants as he didn't wear a shirt, a towel around his shoulders as a cloud of steam flowed out behind him. He smiled at Eleanora as he dropped the towel in the basket to the side of the washroom door. Climbing on top of the bed, he caged Eleanora as he placed a kiss on her lips, her head being moved from its resting position at Sebastian meowed at them in displeasure of his warmth being taken away. He continued to meow at them until they both didn't pull away, faces flushed and lips swollen.

Looking down at the cat, Apollyon chuckled at him as he rolled off Eleanora and plopped down beside her while plucking the cat up form the pillow and settling him on his lap, silently stroking him. Eleanora scooted closer to him as he smiled down at her, wrapping an arm around her and stroking her back.

"How do you feel about tattoos?" Apollyon asked suddenly as Eleanora looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

"I think they're cool. Why do you ask?" She inquired in confusion.

"One of the guys there, Brian, he is a part time tattoo artist and showed me some of his tattoos. He offered to do some for me if I wanted." Apollyon informed.

"What did you say?"

"I told him that I'd think about it." He shrugged. "He is pretty good at it."

"Do you want a tattoo?" Eleanora inquired curiously. "It would complete the whole bad boy look. Leather jacket, biker boots, Harley Davidson Fatboy, pretty face, smoking, and a tattoo. Would definitely completely the entire look." She joked teasingly as he chuckled at her.

"Honestly, I'd really to meet all the guys." Eleanora admitted. "Alfie, Brian, Chris, Sammy, David, Henry, and Jackson."

"They are all pretty chill." Apollyon smiled at the mention of the friends he made at the garage. "Although, Henry seems to have a problem with me."

"No! Come on, who can hold a grudge against your pretty face?" Eleanora teased as he laughed.

"So you'll come?" He inquired with a wide grin.

"Definitely, I'd bring some donuts too."

"That would be awesome! And don't forget the coffee."

"I won't." Eleanora laughed at him as she pulled herself up. "Now put Sebastian away and come here."

Apollyon put Sebastian down with a smirk, as he turned in Eleanora's direction, connecting their lips in a passionate kiss.

The air outside was crisp and cold, whereas the interior of the coffee shop was the opposite of the weather outside: warm and toasty. Eleanora stepped in line as she looked around herself at the bustling people. They sat at table, drinking, reading, or talking to their fellow companions and laughing. The atmosphere was very lively and light and smelt like baked goods and freshly brewed coffee, the best combination. The line shortened as Eleanora continued to look around her and took a step forward.

She noticed a little girl sitting at a table with, whom she assumed to be her mother and Eleanora realised that she had seen the little girl before. Emily, the little girl that had sat on Apollyon's lap when they had lunch outside, and informed the two that they would end up together. Well, she wasn't wrong. A smile quirked at her lips as she made her way to the counter. Greeting the barista good evening, she placed her order for takeaway and asked the barista to take a chocolate muffin to the table with the little girl.

Taking the order, she payed and started to make her way towards the door as she glanced at Emily, who was eagerly looking around for who had gotten her the muffin. The waiter pointed towards Eleanora, redirecting the girl's gaze towards her. Recognition dawned on her features as she grinned at Eleanora, enthusiastically waving at her. She waved back with a smile before making her way out again. Opening the car door, she got in settling the bags on her lap as she informed Nathan to start driving.

Soon they arrived at the large blue one story building that had three later garage doors on the front with a white sign on the top that read 'Jack's garage'. Thanking Nathan, Eleanora made her way out the car and towards the open garage doors. She was greeted by the sound of music and unambiguous sounds of repair as she saw numerous cars in various states lined against the wall. Looking around, she searched for a familiar face, until an unknown one made its way to her.

"Hey there, pumpkin." He greeted with a flirtatious smile. "What seems to be the problem."

The guy in front of her was rather good looking, with windswept Hazel hair and light eyes, a cocky smirk on his face and a muscular body. He looked to be in his early-twenties and was taller than Eleanora, but most definitely shorten than Apollyon, maybe 6'? He wore the standard garage jumpsuit which was a rust colour with his name stitched on the left side of his chest. Henry.

"Hi...Henry." Eleanora greeted as he stood up straighter. "I'm looking for someone."

"Oh, sweety. Who would you be looking for if the man of your dreams is right in front of you?" He grinned cockily as a few of the guys were watching the exchange in curiosity.

"Oh, sweety. The guy of my dreams would be most definitely taller." She grinned as the guy's snickered around them. "And he wouldn't be a cocky jerk."

Instantly Henry's face flushed scarlet as the guys around them laughed. Eleanora smiled sweetly at him while fluttering her eyebrows at him innocently. "Just being honest." She grinned, sending the guys into another laughing fit, most of them rolling on the floor with laughter at the look on Henry's face.

"What is this ruckus!" Jack's voice boomed from a room up the stairs. He appeared at the top of the stairs, glaring at the guys as they all quieted down.

"Hey, Jack!" Eleanora greeted from her place at the entrance. Instantly all the guys looked at her in surprise as Jack grinned at her from the stairs, making his way down to greet her.

"Sugarplum! I didn't know you were coming." He greeted enthusiastically with a smile as he hugged the teen.

"Well, here I am!" She grinned. "And I brought coffee and brownies, too."

"Coffee?" A collective of three voice came from another room as they all made their presence known. All of them were older than 25, but very good looking for their age and muscular too. Eleanora placed the coffee and brownies onto a table as the seven guys grabbed a cup and brownie respectively. She looked around to tell Jack to take one, but didn't see him, until she heard the unambiguous whining voice of Apollyon.

"But I am almost done with her!" Apollyon was complained, walking backwards as Jack was dragging him the back of the collar of his white undershirt as his jumper was pulled up till the waist. "I swear! I am almost done with her, Jack!"

"The car can wait." Jack stated as Eleanora was smiling at the two, distantly hearing Henry mutter profanities towards Apollyon. "She can't." The boss stated as he turned Apollyon around to be facing Eleanora who was standing with an amused smile and her hands in her hips.

"Eleanora!" Apollyon's eyes lit up like a little child's before he gathered her in his arm, hugging her tightly, before kissing her on the lips. "Why didn't you tell me you were coming!?"

"I did." Eleanora stated. "You didn't attend the phone or check your messages. Where is your phone, anyways?"

Reaching into his jumper's pocket, Apollyon brought forth his I-phone and smiled sheepishly as he saw missed calls and messages from Eleanora.

"Take a coffee and brownie." Eleanora chuckled while shaking her head. "Both of you." She addressed Jack and Apollyon pointedly.

"Yes, ma'am." They both spoke in sync before taking a coffee and brownie.

"That's Eleanora?" A collection of seven voices spoke up behind her as she turned towards the gaping faces of the guys.

"This is Eleanora." Apollyon grinned as he wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her towards him. "My Eleanora."

"Wow. Looks like your words backfired Henry." A dark skinned guy with name 'Jackson' stated smugly while taking a sip of his coffee. "She is gorgeous."

"I thought you said she has white hair." David inquired with narrowed eyes. "I don't see any white hair."

"That is because she has them tied up, genius." Apollyon remarked as Eleanora rolled her eyes. Removing the beanie from her head, she opened her bun as her white hair cascaded down her back. "See? White hair."

"Oh. I thought you had meant more of a silver shade like old people or Jack have." Alfie stated in awe. "But they are quiet literally white."

"Like I said." Apollyon grinned. Turning towards Eleanora, he introduced the guys in turn as they all warmly smiled at her and thanked her for the coffee and brownies. They all got to know Eleanora as they conversed with her, all of them telling her that they felt like they knew her because of Apollyon never shutting up about her. Apollyon was flushed lightly as Eleanora laughed, informing them that Jack had told her about that. They all conversed lightheartedly before Jack had them get back to work, causing them to whine about it, but were shut up by a glare from Jack.

"Come, I'll show you around." Apollyon suggested as he wrapped an arm around her waist, walking her through the garage and informing her of the stations and what happened in it. They entered another room where, David, Brian, and Chris were working on a Mercedes. Two of them fussing over the engine as the third was under the car, looking at the bottom work.

Apollyon's started to lead her further back as he rested his head against hers as he took her to a more deserted part of the garage, where there were a tools littered around the room with a car standing in the middle, covered by a cloth.

"Do you wanna know the story of my raise?" He asked Eleanora as he sat down on one of the workstations that was vacant.

"Sure, why not?" Eleanora nodded as she stood in front of him. Reaching out, Apollyon pulled her closer to him as she stood between his legs, looking at him in curiosity.

"Basically, it was for all the guys." He stated. "Jack gave us this bet that we couldn't make a car from scratch, and whoever managed to make a car from scratch will get a raise and get to keep the car."

"Okay? And what happened?" Eleanora asked as she draped her arms over his shoulders and messaged the back of his scalp, pulling each other impossibly closer.

"Well, all the guys started on a car, but none of knew how to do it. So pretty soon the guys started to give up." He spoke lowly. "In the end it was just me and Brian, but he gave up somewhere close to the end. However, even with the competition gone, I had to complete the car and make it function properly."

"And...?" Eleanora trailed for him to continue as their noses were almost touching.

"And I won the bet." He spoke huskily, his gaze zeroing on her lips as he swallowed visibly. "I got the raise and get to keep the car I build from scratch."

"That's amazing." She grinned at him before Apollyon leaned down and captured her lips with his own. A soft moan escapes Eleanora's lips as she pulled him closer. Standing up from his seated position, Apollyon reversed their places as he lifted her onto the table, pulling her closer as her legs wrapped around his waist. His hands wandered to her legs as a low wolf whistle had them pull away.

Turning towards the sound, flushed and embarrassed they saw Jackson standing in the doorway with a smirk on his lips.

"Just wondering where you two had gone." He shrugged innocently, the smirk still on his lips. "I'll let you two get back to your steamy make out session."

"Jackson!" Apollyon yelled after the elder man that walked out of the garage a smirk still sported on his lips. Groaning in annoyance, he turned back to Eleanora who was still flushed and embarrassed from the whole ordeal. Sighing, he placed a kiss on the top of her head as he lifted her off the table. "Wanna see the car?"

"Yeah." She nodded with a smile, greatful that he changed the topic. Turning towards the car standing beneath the cloth, Apollyon grabbed hold of the fabric before pulling it off in one swift motion. Beneath the sheet stood a glinting black Audi A6.

Gasping in surprise, Eleanora stumbled back in shock as she shifted her gaze from the shining car to the wide grin on Apollyon's lips.

"H-how?" She asked in astonishment as she caressed the side of the car. "I didn't know you knew how to make a car from scratch."

"I didn't." Apollyon shrugged before grinning at the confused look on Eleanora's face. "I had help from books and youtube. Did you know that they had a step by step guide on how to make a fully functioning Audi A6, 2013 addition?"

"I had no idea." Eleanora informed as she looked at the car in awe. "Can I sit in it?"

"Of course." He grinned. "It's our car now."

"Wow." She breathed out in astonishment as she made her way to the driver's side. Sliding into the leather seats, she ran her hand over the steering wheel and the controls before pressing the start button, the engine purring to life effortlessly. "It even has a GPS system?"

"I found the instruction manual online on how to install one into the car."

"Wow." Eleanora spoke again in disbelief. "Wow. You can work for Audi."

Apollyon laughed as he settled down on the passenger side. "I had to buy the leather for the seats, and a few other necessary equipments, but otherwise it was one awesome challenge to overcome. It is fully equipped with airbags, alarm system, emergency brakes, a sick sound system, easy steering wheel and solid original Audi parts which I forged from other Audi cars that were thrown away."

"This is why you had been spending so much time at the garage and always came back with a smile. Because you were working on this." Eleanora finally realised.

"Bingo." He grinned. "So, what do you think?"

"What do I think?" She asked in disbelief. "I think this is the coolest thing ever! You build this car, from nothing. You build it on your own and you made it fully functioning with all the features that are available in an original Audi car. No one will believe that you made this on your own and that this isn't an original Audi. This is so awesome!" She squealed before grabbing hold of his face and connecting their lips together firmly.

Apollyon chuckled against her lips before he cupped her face in his hands, tangling his fingers into her hair in order to savour the kiss. No rush, no hurry.

In that moment it felt like they had all the time in the world...

If only it were actually true...
