Epilogue

Dear All,

I am sorry, because I wanted to post yesterday but I had some issues with the internet modem and I cannot post chapters through my phone. So, here is the Epilogue of this story :-)

I am sorry for the absence of over a month, but I already explained my reasons and no need to repeat myself and annoy you. I just want to thank everyone that wrote me a message, because it really helped and I want to thank you for the support you gave and you keep giving to this story that has reached its end.

Yes, "Fallen for an Angel" has finally ended and I really hope you will enjoy the Epilogue, so please let me know with your wonderful comments, votes and messages. You know how much I love reading them and I always try my best in replying.

I have nothing much to say regarding this concluding chapter, because I believe all was said already and the words of it will speak enough. I just hope you will like it.

I dedicate it to each of you as a special thank you for your love, support, kindness, feebacks, understanding and again, for you love. You are wonderful readers, believe me. I just want to add a quick comment to WBTA2013 as I remember your message asking whether a particular moment would be present in the epilogue or not...well, here is the answer and I will be curious to hear your thoughts :-) I will be curious to hear each of you's thoughts!

As song, I chose one from the incredible Korean pianist and composer Yiruma that I found perfect for this chapter and for the last part of it. The picture is a banner a friend of mine made for me long ago: thank you very much, I love it!

And now, enjoy it!

ROMAN POV – 1 YEAR LATER, DUBLIN:

Enna and I left the restaurant where we had dinner with Ciara and her new girlfriend, who wasn't going to last long, judging by the way and reasons they slightly argued during the evening. My angel didn't worry about that, knowing his sister very well, for I came to realise she hadn't yet found the girl that managed to really steal her heart. Ciara was also quite volatile and tended to fall in love all too easily, letting the enthusiasm of the first crush get the best of her. The moment I saw them together a couple of months ago I knew it wasn't going to last very long.

"It sure was an interesting evening and quite the amusing fight, if it can even be considered as such," my beautiful Enna quietly observed as we walked through Temple Bar, our hands linked together, and his side pressed against mine. "I always admire your incredible patience when it comes to my sister and her antics. I am sure in a couple of weeks we'll hear about her breaking up." He laughed softly and swirled around, stopping in front of me to leave a kiss on my lips as he tiptoed. "What do you want to do, baby?"

As I said, he was not worried, because we both knew his sister very well and actually, the more I knew her the more I considered her as a real sister, given she liked to ask me for advices and we all often had dinner together, especially during weekend when we either visited Eamon or he drove to Dublin. I loved what I had with Enna and since a while ago, a desire to unite each other in something more started to form inside of me, because the idea of calling him my husband sounded both perfect and very exciting. Yes, my angel would be an incredible, sweet and dangerously sexy husband. I quietly chuckled and shook my head as his eyes seemed to enquire why I was laughing.

"It's nothing my angel, I was only thinking about you and at how you're terribly tempting in bed." I took him in my arms and pulled him completely pressed against me, letting my lips slightly stroke his, as our eyes smiled at each other.

"Tempting hmm? What about your very irresistible dark and wild side, my love?" I sealed his lips with mine and I felt my desire burning as he let out a very quiet moan.

Another year passed with my angel and our life was perfect for us as it was, my business growing considerably, for my company expanded, and his hairdresser salon became more famous so that some Irish celebrities even decided to visit it. I kissed him stronger, thinking about each special day we spent together, everything we did together, the small things we shared, and I deepened the kiss, feeling him melting in my arms. I pulled back and he giggled, his eyes bright and his cheeks flushed.

He whispered something in Ukrainian, for he had decided to learn my native language and I had to admit that my angel was an excellent student. He surely enjoyed speaking Ukrainian with me whenever he wanted to purposely annoy Ciara and he never cease me to amuse me with his mischievous intentions. I loved spending every single and little moment with Enna.

"We can do whatever you wish, my love. I have no real preferences for tonight, aside making love with you for hours," I told him as my voice lowered and he smiled in that very seductive way that made me see he felt the same, letting his arms slip around my neck.

"Hmm, I also wish for that and my Roman..." He paused a moment and he straightened up, his eyes widening as he moved his hands over the mouth. "Dear me, I am so silly, Roman. I forgot something in the salon, can we go get it? Sarah and Mitsui brought some sweets from Japan and I left them outside. I want you to try them, because they're delicious."

"Of course, Enna. We can then walk home, given the nice weather and fortunate luck of rain, yes? We should ask them for advices, because I would like to visit that country with you."

"Thanks baby and yes, it would be wonderful to do so. But don't forget where we will celebrate your birthday," he reminded me, winking and moving closer to me.

"I haven't forgotten, my angel." I let my lips touch his softly, for then trailing them on his forehead. He had bought a vacation to the Maldives islands for us both, reserving a beautiful and quite private bungalow-apartment on the sea, where we would spend ten days together and pretty much naked most of the time.

We walked to his place of work and I decided to wait for him outside the shop, while he searched for what he had forgotten. Sarah went to Japan with her boyfriend to visit his family and they came back a few days ago, obviously bringing all sort of presents and souvenirs for everyone. I leaned against the wall beside the door, simply looking at the cloudless sky and enjoying the mild Dubliner breeze, people lazily strolling over the streets and deciding how to spend the evening. I checked the phone and then I noticed a very young guy observing me from the other side of the street, throwing furtive glances and looking around, as if afraid of being caught or seen.

I looked back a moment and you could see a teenager way too skinny for his age, with a watchful and wary way of assessing his surrounding and a rather gaunt face. He could have been on drugs or simply starving and something in him reminded me of my very young self, when I roamed the streets of Kiev completely wild and without a place where to be, alone, hungry, furious at everybody and very dangerous for my age. Yet, that kid did not look dangerous one tiny bit. He looked mostly angry and starving.

As the street cleared out from people, he advanced walking toward me as if thinking I hadn't noticed him, and he approached me right with the question I believed he would ask. He needed money desperately and it wasn't clear whether he needed it for drugs or simply food, but as he came closer, I speculated he craved money mostly to put something under his teeth and probably a roof over his head for at least one night.

"Heya sham, how are you? You look quite alone here and if you want, I can keep you company for the night, what do you say?" He asked me with shaking voice that revealed much of his fear in doing that and indeed, he looked gaunt, purple circles under his eyes, messy, unclean hair and in general in great need of a long bath. Had he run from home? I pushed myself standing straight and casted my eyes down on me, immediately causing the kid to take a step back and darting his stare all over me. He was considering whether he had made a huge mistake or not, my way of standing scaring him. But he was desperate, as his next words proved. "I'm bloody grand in bed, so what do you say? I can stay with you, ha? You're quite handsome." He tried to cover his anxiety and fears with a rather pitiful attempt at flirtation.

This kid had to go home soon and stop messing around in this way.

"You're wasting your time and you're definitely choosing the wrong way to get some money. Get lost kid and follow my advice: stop approaching strangers on the street in such way. You might meet a dangerous one who will take bad advantage of you."

"Like you?" I simply smiled like a wolf at his question and I could see him swallowing down. I did it on purpose, wanting to see if instilling more fear might set him straight, but apparently not. "But you look decent and bloody hot, so why not taking advantage of this?"

"Go away, I'm telling you. You picked the wrong man. Don't you have a family?" I provoked him, and at my question his entire face hardened, and anger flashed violently in his eyes. So, that was the real issue and he had run away just like I guessed. "Why did you run away, hmm? Just leave and stop selling yourself for money."

"I'm bloody starving and you know fecking nothing about me, so don't you fucking lecture me, got it? I need money and you should probably have some fun, so why not?"

He moved closer to me and went to touch me, but I stopped him by grabbing his arm and slightly slapping his face. This kid here needed a good and sound wake-up call, because he was endangering his self and health by behaving in this careless way, selling his body. His eyes widened, and he went to step back, finally seeing what was going on, but I held him tightly, for I couldn't let this kid run away and commit the same mistake twice, perhaps with somebody that would have taken advantage of him and use him in the lowest and dirtiest possible way. I had seen plenty of that.

"What the fuck did you do that for? That bloody hurt, you bastard."

"I barely touched you and you aren't going anywhere." In that moment, Enna stepped out of his salon and froze on the spot staring at us with slightly open mouth and wide eyes that were darting between myself and the young guy.

"What's happening here?" As he spoke, I could see the surprise and almost bewilderment on the kid's face, not entirely understanding what was going on and whether my angel was a man or a girl, given the way his eyes assessed his entire figure in clear confusion. "Who is he, my love? What happened with him?"

"So, you're together?" The kid asked, and he observed Enna as if under same stupor, unable to tear his eyes away, unable to speak a word for long, many seconds. He then observed me quickly and tried to pull free from my grip. "Maybe he will want to enjoy my company?" He had understood Enna was a man and had dared to ask such question, even if it was in the obvious intent to provoke me so to let him go.

"What?" Enna asked in pure shock. "What's going on?"

"He is trying to sell himself for money. I still need to understand if he needs it for drugs or food, or maybe for both." I explained my angel and he quickly locked the door of the salon and stepped beside me, observing the kid intently and with eyes that spoke of worry and compassion. He had read the situation quickly and he was trying to decide what to do. "Should we maybe take him to the Garda and see where his family is?" I asked on purpose, wanting to witness his reaction.

"No, don't you dare to take me to the bloody police, you hear me?" He began to act more nervously, and I tightened the grip. There was anger in his voice and in the way he fought me, but also there was much dread. He was terrified by something.

"My love," Enna softly said, placing a hand on my arm. "He looks..."

"I know," I simply said looking into the kid's scared eyes and I let go of his arm. "What's your name?" I demanded, and he twisted his mouth in a sneer, wanting to go away, but I reacted faster and once more grabbed his arm. I had the feeling that if I had let go of him, he would have run far away and committed something that would have ruined his life without return.

"None of your bloody business," he cursed out struggling my grip, his eyes wide with a mixture of fear and defiance, but my angel managed to calm him down. Of course he did that, because I saw the way the kid stared at him, as if he had a vision of an angel.

"What is your name? We just want to help you and if you're hungry, we can maybe do something about that." His voice was soft and soothing, in the clear intent to calm him down and it worked, considered the way the guy stopped twisting and pulling around. "What is your name? Should we maybe take you to your family?"

"No!" He immediately cried out, starting to struggle again against my grip. "No, not to them." So that was the real deal and problem: he was frightened by the idea of seeing his parents or whoever represented his family.

"Did you run away?" I asked again, and he shot me a look full of many emotions I recognized all too well. He hadn't run away at all. He probably had been abandoned and Enna seemed to sense the same, given the way he pressed closer to me, his face barely trying to cover what he felt in that moment.

"I've been bloody kicked out, happy to hear that?" At his words Enna brought both hands against his mouth, staring at the kid in horror, seeing more details of abandonment on him. I had figured that out already and I wondered if the reason was what I suspected. "I haven't done anything bad, you hear me? I haven't stolen or used drugs...I just..." Enna stepped right in front of him and placed both hands on his shoulders, which made him first flinch, for then only looking at my angel as if lost in his beautiful eyes.

"You don't have to tell us anything," he said with very kind and sweet voice, obviously affecting the kid, who immediately calmed down and once more stared at him as if under some spell, eyes wide and mouth slightly gaping open. "Tell us your name and then," Enna looked at me with a mute question in his eyes and I just nodded, understanding what he meant to ask, "and then, come with us, if you want. We can help you and we can try to find a way together. We won't call the Garda, is that OK for you?" The young guy stared at him almost with open mouth, eyes glued to my angel's face and staring into his eyes lost in them, not knowing what to say. He then slowly turned his gaze on me, assessing me clearly intimidated by my presence, and I nodded to him.

"I'm Shane," he said in a whisper, his eyes dropping to the ground, his entire figure suddenly shivering and shrinking as he continued speaking. "I told my parents I'm gay and they bloody kicked me out, saying they didn't want anything to do with me."

"How old are you?" I asked, and he swallowed down before replying.

"I'm almost seventeen." His answer spoke enough.

"It happened a couple of years ago, right?" He nodded and then he shifted his green-blue eyes on me, questions in them. "I also roamed the streets alone when I was very young." He seemed to see me for the first time and the fear tinting his face before slowly washed away, realising he had met someone that could understand him entirely and someone else that could be his angel, even if a different kind of angel he had been for me. "Come with us, Shane."

"How can I trust you? Who the fecking hell are you?" So much anger in him and I comprehended that very, very well. "You're going to report me to the bloody Garda and I will be screwed."

"I'm Enna," my angel tentatively said, smiling kindly and that smile seemed to win the kid, who though turned more cautious as he darted his gaunt eyes to me. "We don't want to report you to the police, we mean it."

"My name is Roman," I said, deciding to give him my real name in a gamble of trust-game, for I perceived he needed to be given something, and because of that Enna leaned on me in a silent thank-you, his fingers brushing mine for a quick moment. "You don't know if you can trust us and you're right. But I tell you to do so, yes?"

"Roman is right, Shane. Please, come with us and we will see to help you in any way you wish us to. We sure don't want to impose in your life or choices." Always the sensitive and understanding angel and his words appeared to unleash a sort of spell on Shane, for he relaxed and looked at us more and more in need for help and much more we couldn't completely provide. He was tired and completely exhausted in the mind, spirit and body, and it was evident in my eyes how much he craved for someone he could truly trust and rely on. Enna felt all of this and it was clear by the way he spoke again. "What do you say? Would you like to give us a chance? I am sorry if my question of before did upset you, for nobody has the right to judge or decide whether leaving your house was good or wrong. But please, come with us."

The kid hesitated, scared of being tricked and taken advantaged of. I hadn't been much scared of trusting people when I roamed the streets of Kiev alone, for the simple reason I never trusted anyone given my experiences, but I was angry. I was very angry and repeating to myself how everyone was just a bastard or a piece of shit I couldn't possibly trust or rely on. I was wild and dangerous, I was cold and I never really knew the meaning of love. Shane was different...he was much in need of love and care.

"Come with us, Shane," I repeated once more with firm voice and somehow, my tone of voice and the way my angel looked at him in the most evident hope he would accept our offer broke his fears and doubts. I had a feeling that if we let go of him, he wasn't going to end well and usually my instinct never lied to me.

"Thanks," he only replied and then he set his eyes on me, looking haunted yet resolute. "Sorry for before," he munched out and I only shook my head.

We took him to our place, where Enna immediately cooked something warm and light for him, for the kid had not eaten in a few days and overeating would have only made him sick. First though, I led him to take a long and needed bath, because Shane was in terrible conditions, dirty and frankly speaking quite stinky; nothing that really shocked me in a way, but if his family really kicked him out as he said, I suddenly felt the need to exchange a couple of words with them. However, it was not my place to do so. Not yet, at least. The sight of the spacious and heated bathroom we had for guests almost scared him, and he gazed around the room not believing at what he was seeing. Enna and I had a very large and comfortable house, even if we didn't live in any extravagant luxury, so this kid here indeed had gone through many rough days.

I kept an eye on him, seeing how he still wandered his stare around guarded and watchful, afraid something might attack him at any time, afraid we might betray him at any time. I avoided asking pointless questions, as it was pretty crystal clear the kid wasn't yet trusting us enough to say more about his life and what circumstances made him act in the way he did earlier.

As we sat in the kitchen, Enna contained his horror in seeing the way Shane ate. Not because the kid threw himself on the food without caring about manners, shoving the spoon in his mouth even though he was still chewing and about to swallow the bite of food, but because he threw himself on the warm soup and toasted slices of bread with butter pretty much like a starving dog. I had been right: he had not eaten for days. My angel was horrified at the idea that a young kid like him had to go through such terrible experience and still could not understand why his family did not care for him.

My Enna had listened to plenty of my stories when I was a young brat and knew what I went through, so his reaction now didn't surprise me. Something rather impossible to imagine for Enna, considered what an amazing family he had; on my side, I could comprehend that some parents were never meant to be such. I never cared about having a family, but some kids at the orphanage cried every night and prayed to get one...not all of them ended up well.

Enna silently sat at the table in front of Shane and I took a place beside my angel, drinking a cup of tea slowly and observing the kid without letting him notice it. He wasn't going to stay long here and the furtively way he seemed to snatch the food convinced me more of that thought. What could we do? We wanted to help him of course, but we couldn't impose on his life, not if he was not the one completely wishing to be helped.

"Do you like it?" Enna tried to make some sort of conversation to ease him down and make him feel more relaxed, but the kid only stopped eating and nodded, for then setting the spoon aside and casting his eyes on the table slightly embarrassed. I softly smiled, because I could see he hadn't realised the way he devoured the food until then. "Is it too warm, maybe? Or if you prefer, I have some pasta and a cake I baked this morning. Do you like apple crumble pie?"

"Thanks," Shane only said, still staring at the bowl of unfinished soup.

"Do you want some more maybe?" Enna calmly asked, going to take a bowl of it for himself. He wasn't hungry at all, but I understood his intent and so, I joined him in that.

"My angel, could I have one, too? I am still hungry." I took a slice of bread and spread more butter on it, for then walking to the fridge and searching for extra food. "Some ham?" I casually asked Shane and only after a couple of seconds he lifted his eyes on me and nodded silently. I handed him the bread with ham and butter and he stared at that silently. "Something wrong? Do you have allergies?" I calmly inquired, and he shook his head. In the meantime, Enna brought two bowls of soup to the table and sat there joining the kid in eating.

"I...I'm sorry. I eat like a bloody pig, but bloody hell, this soup is so good." I smiled at his frankness and noticed how he often seemed to swear or use certain words. He must have lived on the street for some time already and picked up a certain way of talking in the intent to look stronger and older. But not only that: he was angry, and swearing was a way to let it out, to voice it out as loud as he could.

"You really like it?" Enna only asked, his eyes sparkling in happiness the kid was enjoying a good, warm meal and talking to us. "And please don't worry, my sister can be a real mess, isn't that right, Roman?"

"Yes, she can be," I agreed, because indeed Ciara had a talent for spilling food on herself or on the table clothes, for great annoyance of my Enna. Shane smiled relaxed for the first time and bit into the bread, eating slower and possible really tasting the food and not simply filling his stomach. His eyes then moved on me once more with questions, even if I could see he hesitated because he was somehow unsettled by me. "Would you like to ask me something?" He considered my question and then he nodded.

"Did you really live on the streets when you were a kid?"

"Yes, for a few years I had to survive on the streets of Kiev," I said that piece of information on purpose, still gambling on that subtle and rather risky trust-game, but if my instinct was right this was what this kid needed the most right then.

"How did you manage that? Did you also try to..." I shook my head and he looked away entirely ashamed. I took a silent breath and Enna smiled at me. "I'm sorry for what I said before. I can see that you definitely don't need a kid like me trying to sell himself." He moved his eyes to my angel and I could tell he had a hard time staring at him, because he did really feel mortified for the way he behaved before. That was good, so he might not attempt it another time. "I'm bloody sorry, Enna." I quietly chuckled at hearing him pronouncing his name, clearly feeling more at ease with my love instead of me; it was only natural and very much understandable.

"There is nothing to be sorry for, Shane." The smile of an angel appeared on Enna's face and the kid slightly opened his lips mesmerized, still not believing at how the night had turned out for him. But it wasn't over; he wasn't going to trust us that easily and I could read it in his haunted, careful eyes.

"I was a very wild and dangerous kid back then," I explained him, and he swallowed down, seeing the tattoos on my arm. "Would you like something else to eat?" I asked more gently, which made him pause and ponder whether replying honestly or not. He must have been still very hungry, but he appeared embarrassed at the idea of asking for more. My angel unblocked the situation by getting more food for himself and checking what was in the fridge, offering a slice of cake to Shane.

After eating and talking a bit more about very trivial matters, given he wasn't going to open up immediately with us, the kid was exhausted, and we decided to let him sleep in the bedroom reserved for the guests. He looked restless and obviously nervous, something in my guts told me he wasn't going to sleep tight, so I took Enna to our bedroom, waiting for him to fall asleep, and after that I walked downstairs, waiting in the small living room close by the main door. I left money on the table of the kitchen on purpose and I noticed how Enna earlier had given Shane our phone numbers written on a piece of paper the kid immediately shoved in his pocket.

I rested on the couch for a couple of hours, simply looking outside the window, until a faint sound of somebody trying to walk quietly attracted my attention. I sat completely silent and tracked the sound of the steps, hearing them moving to the main living room and then to the kitchen. After a minute they approached the hall and I caught the shadow of Shane walking in front of the door of the room where I waited. I got up, surprising him as he was about to open the door of our house, running away in the middle of the night just as I expected.

"Leaving already and taking money, too?" He froze at my words and very slowly turned around looking at me with a terrified expression. "You will make my angel sad." I kept my tone of voice light, yet distant on purpose, wanting to test his reaction.

"Why do you call him like that?" Shane asked with trembling voice, assessing me deciding whether he could make it to outrun me or not. He could not make it, but I wasn't going to stop him, since it would have been pointless and pretty much turned everything against the main purpose. I had been there before, and I believed I understood how he must have felt. Trust never really worked for me and given his current behaviour, he probably had a bite of it, too.

"Because he is my angel and because he looks like an angel, don't you also agree on that?" He nodded imperceptibly, and I took the few steps separating us, making him retreat against the door, afraid I would force him to stay. "I'm not making you stay if you don't wish to. This is not my style. But let me tell you something, Shane: do take care and stay clean of any kind of shit, because that will only cause you more troubles than you already have." He kept silent, only staring at me. "You have our numbers, if you need help. You know we will help you, if you wish so."

"Help doesn't come bloody free," he replied out of spite, not really meaning those words toward us. Indeed, he had a bite of broken trust.

"Sometimes it does," I only said and with that, I turned around and walked away, hearing him open the door and leave the house. I shook my head, knowing I should have probably stopped him, but what right did I have to force such decision on him? I was very well aware that forcing him to stay or deciding for him would have turned out wrong. He would have resisted us. I looked at the door and I had a feeling soon we were going to hear from him; I saw the way he stared at Enna, at the way he stared at me before. He desperately wanted to trust somebody, he needed it, but the issue was that his fears were greater than that. I heard steps coming from behind and a moment later Enna wrapped a slender arm around me, resting his head on my arm.

"He left as you predicted earlier," he said with slightly sad voice and I took him in my arms. "I hope he will call us. I told him to call us if wanted...and I really hope he will. He looked so lost and so..." I pulled him closer and let my lips rest on his head, then on his silky hair.

"I believe we will hear from him," I reassured my love.

"You really think so, my Roman?"

"Yes, my angel."

I was not only trying to comfort Enna, for I honestly believed in that, my instinct silently telling me that soon we were going to hear from that young brat.

ENNA POV – A FEW DAYS LATER:

Roman had been right, of course.

We both had a long day and we only consumed a quick dinner on the couch while watching a movie, for then moving to our bedroom in need for rest and some quiet time alone. After we have gone to bed and after falling asleep, my phone suddenly began to ring and both of us immediately woke up looking at the unknown number. Since Shane had run away from our house, I never silenced the phone before going to sleep, waiting for his call, because I knew my Roman's instincts were always right and I couldn't get out of my mind the way that kid looked, the way his eyes darted between us two, afraid and feeling lost, lonely, abandoned. I couldn't believe at what he told us, at the cruelty of his family, but then hadn't Roman been also left to an orphanage by his mother and never knew who his parents were?

I knew my love wanted to help that kid and I knew he probably was the only one that completely understood what he was going through. I even looked around for him in Dublin, but of course it wasn't possible to find him and what was I expecting? I stopped searching for Shane because I was afraid my good intentions would only drive him further away and that was the least thing I wished for.

If he decided to trust us it had to be his choice only.

And I hope he would really do so.

Then the phone rang in the middle of the night and an unknown number appeared on the screen.

"It can be the Garda's number," Roman calmly said as he stared at the screen of my phone and I wasted no further time as I answered with pretty much frantic voice.

"Yes? This is Enna O'Kelley. Who is this?" I immediately rushed out, without giving the time to the person on the other side to say anything. I was nervous, and I realised I was shivering and Roman must have seen it, too, because he wrapped a strong arm around my shoulders. I calmed down at first and took a deep breath. "Yes?"

"This Sargent Fanning and I am calling from the Gardai station located in..." he interrupted himself and replied to a colleague probably. "I am sorry, sir. We are located in Dublin 9 area and we are calling you regarding a young man called Shane Callan. Do you know him?"

It could be only that Shane and I felt Roman immediately straightened up and signalling me to put the phone on speaker, which I did.

"Yes, we know him. My partner and I do know Shane. What happened to him? Is he alright, is he well? Something happened to him?" Roman squeezed my free hand, silently communicating me I was speaking obviously too fast and prey of my sentiments. I always did that, but right then my heart beat very fast and I swallowed down a couple of times unable to entirely settle myself, afraid of going to hear the worst.

"He is fine, sir. He is held here in our station, because he was caught in a certain situation. He insisted that we called you instead of his family first and we decided to listen, given the way he looked as we mentioned the name of his parents." I closed my eyes a moment and sent a silent prayer to bless the soul of this understanding police officer. "Could you please come over here?"

"Yes, yes. We will be there in a few minutes and thank you for having called us."

Sergeant Fanning gave us the correct address, for not only one police station was in the area of Dublin 9 and Roman was the one noting it down, as he immediately got on his feet and quickly organized everything. We just washed our face and mouth and without further delay he drove us to the police station where Sergeant Fanning greeted us and, after checking our personal IDs, he explained what had happened in detail. I felt I needed to sit and thank God we did that.

Apparently, out of desperation, Shane had taken some sort of acid or some kind of drug inducing hallucinations, and under its influence he entered a convenience store late in the evening, causing quite the commotion due to how the drug made him feel. The store manager called the police but decided not to report it as crime and I had to send another prayer. It seemed that Shane had fortunately found rather understanding people and I couldn't thank the Sergeant enough for having called us first instead of the family. I believed I remained calm the entire time only because Roman was right beside me, his arm always around my shoulders, speaking to the police officers and asking the all necessary questions.

"Can we see Shane now?" Roman asked and the officer finally took us to where Shane was held.

Neither of us said anything for a couple of seconds as we faced him, seeing him all disoriented, scared, even paler than the first time we met him and with torn, dirty clothes. What had happened to him in these past days? After the momentary shock I rushed to him and dropped on my knees to take his hands, as he sat on a chair of an empty room with a policeman watching him. He hesitantly looked at me and tears seemed to be in his eyes, along with deep and unnerving fear. Shane was scared to his core. He just kept staring at me with confused and distant eyes, almost not understanding what was happening, so I went to talk, but he spoke first.

"Enna?" he asked in a whisper of voice and I just nodded, taking his hands in mine. "You're here?" I nodded once more and then he stared at someone standing behind me. "Ro...Roman?"

"Didn't I tell you to stay clear from that shit?" Roman immediately said and Shane dropped his gaze down to the floor. My love moved to my side and placed a hand on his shoulder. "I'm glad you decided to call us." Shane shot his head up and stared at my love with open mouth, not knowing what to say and Roman smiled at him, for then concentrating on the matter at hand.

"You explained us before that nobody filed a report for what happened in the store, am I correct?" I could see that even the sergeant felt the authority coming from his voice and after squeezing Shane's hands, I went to stand beside Roman. "What will happen to Shane now?"

"He is still underaged and we must call his family. We made an exception before because he was quite in the agitated state and we worried it might have caused him further stress, but we must inform his family."

"Not my bloody parents, please..." Shane begged as he stood on his feet, shaking and almost falling on the floor of the room for how weak he must have been. I hurried to his side and urged him to sit down, trying to sooth him as much as I could. "Please, don't call them, I don't want to go there..." What had they done to him? Roman and I exchanged a quick glance and he nodded.

"Shane, I am sorry lad, but we must call your family. You are under their responsibility and they need to know."

"Can we be present while his parents are called?" Roman asked and the officer took a moment before answering him, quickly looking at Shane, at the way he nervously grabbed the chair and barely contained his shivering.

"We will make another exception, because it seems that you know him well and he looks at ease with you. Please wait here while I make the call."

Shane sank in the chair as if everything inside of him had been sucked out and I didn't know what to do to make him feel better, so I simply kept beside him, his hand squeezing mine with so much strength that I could feel his tension mixed to dread flowing into me. Roman once more approached him and crouched down to better stare into his face, the policeman in the room standing at some distance in order to give us some space.

"Do not worry about your parents, Shane. I will have a chat with them, and you have my words that after I am done talking to them, they will no longer represent a threat or a matter to you." I knew that tone of voice all too well and probably, if he had the chance, he wouldn't have thought twice about getting rid of them. Something in the way Shane behaved before must have touched Roman, triggering old memories he already told me about and triggering a sense of protection he always had for the persons he cared about.

"What do you mean?" He asked with voice so quiet that his words were barely audible. "I don't want to live with them, they don't want me, and they will bloody..." He interrupted himself and began to harshly bite his lower lip, in the attempt to control his emotions.

"Are you afraid of them?" Roman asked and he didn't need to hear the reply as the young man paled down even more and just gave a quick nod. My love closed his eyes a moment and took a silent, deep breath, for then opening his emeralds and staring into my eyes. I nodded at him and smiled. "Shane, you have my word that they won't represent a threat to you. I will talk to them and I am sure we will find a suitable solution. Have faith in us, we will not disappoint you."

Shane widened his eyes and his shaking seemed to cease. I also moved in front of him, taking both of his hands in mine, looking directly into his eyes with a soft smile.

"He is right, Shane. We will not abandon you and we will do everything in our power to help you. Will you trust us?" Roman wrapped an arm around my shoulders and Shane stared at us a long moment without saying anything, fear still written on his eyes and tainting his eyes. He then nodded and moved toward us, probably wanting to hug us, but he stopped.

"Thanks, I will." I went to hug him, but he halted me. "I'm bloody dirty and I fecking stink and...please don't." I understood how he must have felt and respected his request.

"When this is over, I will prepare my famous seafood chowder, what do you say? And you will meet my sister and my father." I kept talking in the intent to keep him calm and more relaxed, because his parents or whoever the sergeant had reached over the phone was going to arrive soon. Shane only nodded, for then moving his eyes with a silent question to Roman.

"I have no family," my love answered, his arm still around my shoulders. "Enna represents my only family, my angel and his own family. I'm sure they will welcome you the same they did with me."

"He is right, and I am sure my sister will love you."

After over an hour his parents arrived at the police station and they stormed in the room without much care for Shane's conditions or feelings, immediately accusing him of having run away from home. The truth was that they indeed had reported his disappearing from home, crafting lies after lies about his coming back and running away several times, but they had omitted the real reasons, and the moment Shane faced them it became evident they had verbally and physically abused him. He shrank in the chair as if wanting to disappear and looked like a small animal caught in a deadly trap. I realised I was shivering in pure loathe toward those people calling themselves his parents, and Roman took my hand in his to calm me down.

Then, they noticed us and when they understood I was a man, rather offensive comments were thrown towards us, about our being gay and open about our relationship and Roman acted faster then the police officers in the room.

"Another word against my angel or our relationship and I will file a legal complain against you, as we will file a complain about having abandoned and left a minor alone."

"What?" Sergeant Fanning immediately barked out, staring at the man and woman with a different expression. "What does this mean?"

"Who are you to throw such accusations on us, ha? You are nobody and we don't need your intromission in our personal matters. So, keep your rather questionable relationship for yourself and we will see how to deal with our son." At those words, Shane almost panicked and I was afraid he would have some bad reaction, as his suddenly vomiting demonstrated. I dashed to him and asked for a glass of water that was brought immediately. "Look at you, under drugs and being on the streets probably whoring yourself, right?" As they dared to utter such filth, my back straightened up and I took the steps diving the distance between those two poor excuses of human beings and myself.

"What did you just say to your son? Do you have an idea what had happened to him and what he went through?"

"What the hell do you want from us, ha? Stay out of our bloody matters, did you get this? Who the hell do you think you are?" Shane's father aggressively groaned out and I stood exactly where I was, not retreating of any step, staring at his face as if wanting to make them both disappear from Shane's life. "What do you want, money? We have no money."

"We want to help Shane and he will never get back to your place." The man's eyes widened in growing anger, but I felt no fear nor threat for myself, for Roman stood right beside me, and in that moment, nothing would have stopped me. I took a step closer and spoke to them very quietly. "You don't want him, right? Because he is gay, am I correct?"

"Our son isn't a bloody fag," the man exploded in the room and the woman looked disgusted at the idea. What was wrong with them?

I observed them once more, at the way they assessed Shane with evident disgust and almost despise, as if looking just at trash. So I comprehended what was wrong with them.

Everything.

Everything was wrong with them.

"Sir, please mind your language," Sergeant Fanning warned him and to our surprise, Shane stood on his feet and stopped in front of his parents.

"I am bloody gay and I cannot change that. I don't want to change that," he defiantly said, looking at his parents with an expression that almost broke my heart, tears in his eyes and a face that spoke of so much sufferance that once more made me wish to make those two horrible persons disappear from his sight. "I don't want to live with you."

"Well, you can bloody go back to the streets, then, because we sure don't wish to have such an ungrateful and sinful son in our house. You are not our son, you hear me?"

"Sir," the Sergeant once more warned. "We need to discuss this with a social worker and make a report. It is clear we are facing quite a situation here and we need to do what is best for the kid."

"Do we really need all of this?" Roman intervened, having kept calm in appearance, but without doubt wishing being able to take care of Shane's parents himself.

"I am afraid this is the procedure in this case, sir." Roman then shook his head and took a moment to reflect over the entire issue, for then staring directly at Shane.

"You have our word that we will find the best solution possible and you can always count on us, yes?"

"Who the hell do you think you are?" Shane's father burst out once more, but he immediately closed his mouth as he caught Roman's dark and threatening stare. So, he was going to confront them once out of here.

It was decided that Shane spent the night in a structure where children without parents could stay, until it was all sorted out. A report was filed against his parents and Roman called his lawyer for advices, setting another meeting in two days, where we would discuss Shane's case and find a solution. I strongly insisted that he couldn't spend long time in that structure, and I begged to let him stay in our place, but it was not possible all considered. As we all left the police station, Roman approached his parents and in that moment, the Roman with the Stars I met years ago was right there in front of me.

"I perfectly know where to find you all and how to make you all regret having treated him in the way you did. I have no need to search for the truth, for it was plain evident in that room. He is terrified at the idea of going back to your house, and you have my word that he will not, do you understand me?" He paused to let them completely take and comprehend the fact he wasn't bluffing but being serious. For the first time, they kept completely silent. "If I know that you tried to contact him again and that you lie on filthy finger on him, I shall not bother to call the police. No, I shall take care of you myself and then, you will wish to never be born, believe me. Am I understood, yes?" They nodded, but the Shane's father then spoke.

"Are you bloody threatening us? We will report you." At those shaking words and clearly empty menace Roman only laughed dryly for a short moment, chilling their blood and sending a shiver down my spine. I had heard that sound before and it had always fascinated me. I had always loved that dark side in him, and it allured me closer, so I stepped to his side and laced my fingers with his.

"Yes, if you dare to hurt Shane another time, you will pay for that," I confirmed with firm and calm voice, Roman's hand tightening around mine as if to silently communicate to me how much he loved me in that moment.

"Report us, if you wish. We will see what will happen after that. I know many ways to make vermin like you regret their mistakes." He took a step closer and spoke with cold, calculating voice. "You will do as our lawyer will suggest and you will disappear from Shane's life, for however you do not wish to be part of it. We will find someone else to take care of him in the family, even if I am sure none of you are fit for the role. However, anyone will be better than you two." He assessed them with hard eyes, and I could see them taking half step back, finally realising the danger my love could really pose to them. "Now, do us a favour and disappear from his life. Show yourself in the following days as needed and then, stay away from him. Is that clear?"

They barely nodded and then, they pretty much scampered to their small car and drove away without saying another word.

"Do you think they will really do as we will ask them?"

"If they value their life, they will do as I say, my angel. Do not worry. I have already dealt with people like them and it's easy to get rid of them, for money is the only thing they care about." He paused a moment reflecting over something and then he sighed out. "I am afraid that the entire family is made of the same substance, or else Shane would have asked for help to any of them. I believe that money and fear might be the key to use with these people. He will soon turn eighteen and soon, he will be able to live his own life."

"And we will always support him," I said, as Roman took me in his arms and kissed my lips strongly.

"Yes, my angel."

We knew Shane had made several, grave mistakes and it wasn't going to be easy for him, but we were going to do our best and he knew he could always count on us. We managed to strike a reasonable deal, even if the family of his uncle did not inspire much faith in Roman and myself; at least, he seemed not scared of them and they were willing to take him in their care.

Since that night a few weeks passed and Shane had duties to attend to keep a clean record and prove his will to lead an honest life, even if he never did anything really wrong. He just found himself alone in the streets while very young, but unfortunately his word had not been trusted much during the hearings we had with the social workers and a judge.

Roman and I could not take care of him legally, for many reasons; thus, we decided and promised him to be at his side whenever he needed us. He knew that our door was always open for him and in fact, we gave him a spare copy of our house' keys, arranging a room for his use only.

Finally, after many weeks, we were able to welcome him in our family, preparing a good dinner as we introduced him Ciara and my father. Needless to say, dad had already heard of everything and tried to see whether there was an alternative solution, but what was decided was all could be achieved. My sister immediately liked Shane, and the feeling was mutual, for it was clear Shane missed having a family and longed the feeling of being loved. We often invited him for dinner and my father invited him to his place during some weekends; his family seemed to never mind and Roman knew something was not entirely fine with them.

We asked him, but the truth came out after almost a year and he begged us to not interfere, for he wanted to complete his studies and then find a job and leave that house for good. Roman had a hard time to follow his request and a few times he was about to drive over their place and have a chat with them, but Shane had been clear on his request and we could only respect his wish, supporting him however we could.

Until one day; the day he introduced us a man named Emmett, who appeared to sincerely care about our Shane and that clearly seemed to have deep feelings for him. That day we knew he had found the person that would completely render him free from his past demons, giving him the love that he desperately needed.

ENNA POV – MAY 2015, DUBLIN, IRELAND:

Roman and I left the building after having voted at the referendum about same-sex marriage. Ciara and dad had already gone to vote in the morning and same for Shane. As we walked home, my love stopped at a flower shop and bought a bouquet of many, beautiful red roses that we placed in a vase in our main living room. The outcome of the referendum was soon announced in the late evening and we all decided to celebrate with a dinner prepared at our house. Finally, also in our country it was possible and legal contracting marriage between same-sex persons, and I couldn't be happier than that; not only for myself and what it represented for us, but for all the people in Ireland that wanted to take the further step in their relationship.

It meant a great and wonderful change, something that could only lead to further, better steps.

After everyone left our home, Roman and I took a moment for ourselves in the quietness of the living room, sipping a glass of champagne in the darkness of the room, as I stayed in his strong arms, one of his hands slowly caressing my hair. When the media began to debate about the possibility of holding such referendum, we discussed about it and we decided we would take this final step. In our hearts we were already bonded, but unfortunately, we weren't yet recognized as such on a legal level. But now, nothing could stop us from that.

As we stood in each other arms, Roman took our glasses and placed them on the coffee table, for then going to stand in front of me while I sat on the couch. He kneeled on his both knees and my mouth opened-up as I understood what he was about to do, comprehending the deeper meaning of that gesture, why the once Roman with the Stars was now kneeling in front of me.

I had never thought he wanted to officially...I felt my lips curving up in a wide smile, one of my hands spontaneously reaching up to my mouth, and my eyes became teary, many emotions coursing thorough my body as everything that happened between us quickly passed in my mind, as Roman set his strong and beautiful eyes on me, taking my hand in his, while the other hold a simple ring made of white gold with three diamonds embedded in it. Two white and the central one black, as to signify our special bond, the light and the darkness we shared in our hearts and souls, the pure and the dark angel in us.

I felt my tears rolling down from my eyes and I still couldn't believe this was truly possible for us. As the chance assumed more and more certainty in the past weeks, as the media portrayed it as something possible to realise, I found myself considering it more and more. Yes, we were married in our heart and we were bonded deeply, but...but this was different and Roman understood it entirely, sharing my same feelings. My eyes stared at the beautiful ring and then at his face, at the way he smiled at me, and I was not sure whether I was breathing or not, whether my heart was beating crazily or not.

First, he kissed my tears away, for then softly touching my lips with his, and after that, with calm voice, holding my gaze with his magnetic one, he spoke those words that left me completely breathless. I knew we long waited for this and I still couldn't believe it...I still couldn't believe I could soon call Roman my husband. The thought gave me such a feeling of pure and exhilarating joy that my head almost swung for the strength of my emotions.

Something that had been natural and very easy for so many people, yet impossible for some others...and now it became legal and possible. The emotions I experienced in that moment couldn't be put into mere words, because it was not only joy for myself, but for so many other persons that longed and wished to be united in this way.

And my Roman was in front of me on his knees with a ring in his hand and a smile that completely held me his prisoner. As we gazed into each other's eyes we felt that same pull that never changed, that became even stronger in the past years, especially after what happened to us. We felt connected in such deep and unbreakable way that I was sure none of us was able to breathe for a few seconds, our hands touching. We couldn't possibly live separate and since we met we knew our destinies were one and the same. He softly kissed the back of my hand and then spoke never breaking his stare on me, never letting go of my hand.

"Enna, my angel, my soulmate and my love: would you do me the honour to marry me?"

I barely nodded, understanding only then why he had chosen a ring with three diamonds, what they represented to him, having more tears now forming in my eyes and I was just crying out of pure happiness and joy, so I threw my arms around him and hugged him tightly. I could not speak for a long moment, for I was so overwhelmed by everything that my voice could not find a way out of my mouth. I hugged him more and more, wetting his neck with my tears, feeling his arms around me, his lips on my skin.

"Yes, Roman, my love, my soulmate and my future husband." I tried to control my emotions, but it was simply impossible, and in that moment, I did not want to. "Yes, Roman." He pulled back only to slip the ring on my finger and then he took my mouth for such fierce and intense kiss that I was glad I was sitting on the couch, the way he kissed me telling me silently how much he loved me and letting me taste how he felt in that moment, what all of this meant for him.

Roman and I could finally marry each other and call each other husband...I don't think there was more we could ask for and I could not wait to tell my father and sister about Roman's proposal. I was sure he had probably already asked dad first, for the way he was and for the deep respect he held toward my father. He broke the kiss and stared at me without saying anything for many, long seconds, simply smiling in a tender and full of love expression, his eyes reflecting my same joy and emotions.

"Enna my angel, I love you more than I can express with my words and you will always be my angel and my love. Nothing changes much for me, because we were already bonded in my heart, but I know that in fact something changes for us and I cannot wait to be completely united to you."

"I love you so much," I merely whispered, still slightly crying, my eyes then gazing at the ring on my finger as if under some spell, finding it perfect. "Roman, thank you, I love it and I feel so fortunate to be able to spend my life with you in this way, to call you husband. I'm just so happy right now, sorry if I keep crying but..." He silenced me with another kiss, even more heated, even more intense, so much that I almost felt dizzy for the excitement, until it slowed down, becoming sweet, tender, full of love. He pulled away to kiss my tears away, caressing my hair with one hand and the ring-finger with the other, his eyes smiling at mine.

"Shh, my angel. No need to say sorry, because I understand how you feel. I understand it completely, for it's the same for me." He kissed my lips softly once more and murmured more words of love on them. "I had asked your father and Ciara accompanied me when I chose the ring. She wanted to be present to that and I believe we should soon call them."

"Yes, we should soon call them and give them the wonderful news, but first..." I glanced at my ring once more, feeling overwhelmed by the emotions brought by that simple gesture and by his words, by the way his eyes stared at me while he spoke. So, I brought my hands on his face, sinking my fingers in his hair and claiming his mouth for a very deep kiss, feeling something stirring in me.

I wanted my Roman.

I needed my Roman.

"Roman, my love, my guardian angel and my future husband, take me for hours," I said with a different note in my voice and his eyes changed expression immediately, as he got up and suddenly pulled me up, scooping me in his arms. I couldn't contain my laugh of happiness mixed with excitement and he just gave me a look that left me almost breathing out in desire.

"As you wish, my love." He took us to our bedroom, where we made love for hours and hours.

Only in the morning as we consumed our breakfast comfortably in bed we called my dad and sister, and their reaction expressed all the love and sincere happiness they felt for us; we then called Shane and Emmett and they both congratulated, making us promise to immediately inform them once we would decide for a date. Ciara rushed to our house in the afternoon and we all celebrated the news later in the evening, Sarah and David asking for the details, if we already had any idea.

The truth was that Roman and I discussed it over the night, deciding to have a small and intimate ceremony with our close friends and family, that was going to take place in a beautiful small town in the Irish country during the summer.

The day of our wedding came and needless to say, Roman looked absolutely handsome in a very elegant and black morning suit, or morning dress as it was officially called, wearing a long-tailed, black jacket over a perfectly white shirt, pearl-grey waistcoat that recalled the same colour of the large tie he wore. He had grey trousers that touched the black, polished shoes in the right way, and I noticed the wore the cufflinks I gave him as present a week ago, together with the pocket watch at his waistcoat that my father had gifted him with, saying it would add a better gentleman-like touch. There was almost a dandy air around him and it perfectly suited him and indeed he was very handsome. My father had been right and Roman looked wonderful, like the incredible and breath-taking gentleman he had always been.

We looked at each other lost in our own world and he stepped closer, slipping his arms around my back, my body instinctively moving closer to his, my arms going around his neck, bringing my lips not very far from his.

"You look absolutely beautiful my angel and very much tempting, you know this?" I said nothing to that and simply softly and quickly teased his lips with the tip of my tongue, feeling his arms tightening around my back. "You look exactly like my angel, like the first time we met." I just kissed his lips as reply, and we smiled at each other more. "The weather is perfect today; don't you think so?" I nodded and yes, we had been very blessed with the weather as it gifted us with a breezy yet sunny day, given we chose to host our wedding in the late morning, in order to then enjoy an entire day of celebration with our family and close friends. "This suit really compliments you, my Enna."

"Thank you, Roman. You look so handsome." I couldn't properly express how I felt in that moment, so I smiled and kissed his lips once more. I believe I hadn't stopped smiling since days ago and I doubt I was going to stop any time soon, for the happiness and sense of fulfilment I experienced in that moment were hard to be described, overwhelming and crushing, light and soft, warm and deep...as I said, it was hard to describe those emotions.

I had decided to go for a creamy-white suit that had a more feminine, tight cut than normal suits for men, wanting to follow the line of my body and always enjoying wearing something out of ordinary. I knew Roman would have loved it and Ciara had been very patient in following me from shop to shop, along with Emmett's sister, who for this special occasion flew to Ireland and spent some days here with us together with her husband. Everyone we loved was here with us today and we could not ask for more. Shane and Ciara were my witnesses, while Roman had asked to my father and Emmett.

It was a small and rather simple ceremony, held in the beautiful inner garden of a castle that could be reserved for such special occasions, decorated with my favourite flowers, candles and beautiful lanterns that my sister helped me in choosing. We did not want any wedding planner, for Roman and I enjoyed planning all the details, with the help of our friends and family. We wanted something simple and that was precisely what we had for our wedding.

We could hear the voices of everyone waiting for us outside, for we had decided to walk to the aisle together, because we had always been together in everything and not even this time we could be separated. We looked in each other eyes for another long moment and he softly kissed my lips.

"Are you ready, my angel?"

"Yes, my love. I am ready to follow you."

"Shall we, then?" I simply nodded and we heard the first notes of the song we selected dancing in the air.

Therefore, holding hands and smiling almost drunk from impossible to describe happiness, we took our first step toward the minister, waiting for us.

We walked together, as we always did for everything else in our life since the first day we met and we caught the eyes of our friends and family, all of them expressing their love and joy for us, for then seeing the persons we most loved waiting for us in front of the minister: Ciara, Shane, Emmett and my father. I knew that my dearest friends and mother were not there on that special day and right before leaving for our wedding, Roman and I had visited my friends' graves, after having paid a visit to my mother's burial place, where my love formally promised her to take care of me for our entire life as husband. I knew they were not there physically present, but they were with me in my heart.

The ceremony began and our vows had been very simple and very similar, for we had written them together, already knowing everything about one another, and having a bond that went beyond normal human understanding. After the customary words to be recited, the minister let us read our vows and I began, firmly holding Roman's eyes, knowing those words by heart, and in that moment everything else disappeared. In that moment, it was only Roman and I.

"Roman, you are my guardian angel, my love and my very soulmate and you know this. You have saved me in every possible way, and those days I stood beside you. You are my true love and I will always love you, no matter what. You saw my real self and I have no secrets with you, for I have bared my soul, heart and mind to you."

I paused a moment, because I had to quietly swallow down as more emotions threated to shake my voice. So, I breathed and once more, locked my stare with his.

"You let me discover a new light in myself, you made me love my darkness, as I love yours. We have been through everything together and together we shall keep facing everything in our future. I promise to love you and take care of you, cherish you and be always faithful and sincere for the rest of my life. I love you and I always will. You are my entire world and..." my voice began to tremble as I reached the end of my vow and Roman smiled at me silently, his eyes penetrating mine deeply and letting our soul almost touch and communicate. I smiled back and continued, "...you are my entire world and you are the man I will always want and need at my side. I love you and I give you my heart completely once more."

Roman smiled more, the love he felt for me clearly showing on his face, in his eyes and we quickly squeezed our hands, not being able to resist the need to touch each other. He silently mouthed me words only I could comprehend, and I smiled back.

"Enna, my love, my soulmate and my angel. I will always love you, protect you, cherish you, care for you every day and in every possible way, no matter what. You know everything of myself, and my soul and heart are in your hands. You came to my life years ago and since then, you gave me a real life and let me taste true love. You saw my shadows and darkness, you saw everything in me, and you know everything of mine belongs to you until my last day of this life."

He stopped a moment to just stare at me, knowing we were both remembering those moments, what happened years ago. We touched our hands another time and he continued.

"Even when we will be no more, I have no doubt that our souls will always be bonded and together. Yes, we walked through many moments in our life together and it will always be like this, always. You have my word that I will always be at your side, because my life without you means nothing. Thank you for having made me appreciate the light in my heart, the darkness in my soul." I wasn't sure how I still had not broken in tears, how my legs were able to hold me up, because his words were spoken with such deep and crushing sincerity that I almost felt their touch upon my skin, it was as if they pierced my heart. "I love you, my Enna and my angel, and you also are my entire world," he spontaneously added, responding to my own words.

He had never ceased to stare at my eyes, never looked away, as his voice never faltered or waved, but I knew the emotions coursing inside of him, because they were there in his beautiful emeralds, in the way his gaze hold me, in the way his voice caressed my ears and in the promises his mouth voiced out. I loved my Roman so much...indeed, he was my entire world and my true love and soulmate.

Tears were silently falling on my face, tasting them on my lips, feeling my smile stretching wider and wider, my heart beating so fast that it rendered me almost breathless. I was so happy in that moment, and his words had touched my heart at such a level that I just wanted to throw my arms around his neck and kiss him.

"I love you with all my heart, with all my soul and with all my mind and body, Enna," he said to me and my lips slightly parted, having completely forgotten people were around us, as if prisoner of a spell, until the minister reported us to the present time and asked us the most important question, after having enquired to be given the ring that my sister handed to him, the same rings we have been wearing for a few years to symbolise our union and special bond, the same rings that today were going to symbolise something slightly different.

"Take this ring, Roman, and reply to my question: do you take Enna to be your husband?" He asked Roman first and my love replied directly looking at me.

"I do take you, Enna, as my husband," he replied with a voice that made me tremble for the intensity of it, slipping the ring on my finger. I bit my lower lip to repress more tears. The ring on my finger looked and felt...

The minister smiled and then turned his head to me, asking the same question.

"Take this ring, Enna, and reply to my question: do you take Roman to be your husband?"

I locked my eyes with my future husband's deep gaze and took the ring in one hand, while the other hold his strongly.

"I do take you, Roman, as my husband," I firmly said, slipping the ring on his finger and for a short moment everything else disappeared, only us two existing, as we both gazed at our hands and we felt the cool white gold on our skin. My heart racing faster and faster, hearing the happiness and the various emotions stirring among our friends and family, seeing the love and joy in my father's and sister's eyes, in Roman's eyes.

The minister pronounced a few ritual words that I almost did not manage to hear, completely enraptured by my love, who never stopped staring at me. I heard the last and most important words and then, I knew I no longer could contain my tears, just like my sister, who began to quietly sob as she also listened to them.

"I now pronounce you married. You may kiss your husband."

Roman immediately grabbed me and pulled me against him for a long and deep kiss, where he conveyed all of his love and what he felt in that moment, just as my arms immediately wrapped around his neck, my hands sank in his hair and my lips lost on his, as our mouths fused in a kiss that signified much more we could express. We could not stop kissing each other, drunk of our happiness and love, finally bonded in legal marriage, and I knew we both felt the rings caressing our fingers, a feeling we would never forget. We kissed longer, until the cheering and laughing of the people around us broke the spell and we pulled away, smiling at each other, our foreheads touching.

"I love you, Enna." He pecked my lips while his arms still kept strongly around me, my body almost pressed on this. "I love you, my husband."

"And I love you, Roman...my husband," I replied with a more playful note and his lips quickly moved to my right ear.

"Wait until night, my angel, and you will see how many times I'll make you moan and scream that word, which on your lips sounds both very sweet but also very tempting." His words triggered a strong wave of mixed emotions in me and my body shivered, in love, in want, desire, need for my Roman, and much more.

"I will look forward to that," I said in a more mischievous tone and I purposely bit my lower lip. Nothing changed in a way and yet, we felt as if our bond and union had been strengthened even more. Probably, because we had the chance and bless of having it celebrated with our closest friends and our family.

We pulled away, knowing the people around us couldn't wait to congratulate with us, and I couldn't stop gazing my ring-finger, as I couldn't stop holding Roman's hand, my husband's hands.

My sister rushed to me and we hugged tightly for long time, but my father soon joined us, and he wrapped his arms around us. Then, he hugged Roman with sincere love and I could see dad looked moved, his eyes glistening, and I went to kiss his cheeks, while Ciara wrapped her skinny arms around my husband, who responded by caressing her hair. Shane came to me smiling in his typical open way and wrapped his arms around me, speaking quiet words only meant for me and I hugged him back, for he was like family, just as Emmet, who joined us after having congratulated Roman first. His sister and husband walked to us, along with our dear friends and we passed from one person to another, smiling, laughing, hugging one another and smiling more.

I was just so happy that I felt euphoric and Roman was back at my side. We celebrated this special day with the persons we most loved and we spent a day, an afternoon, evening, night and almost dawn in their company, Roman and I always together.

As I rested my head on his tattooed chest, after having made love for hours with my husband, I let my eyes stare at his quiet face, at the way his eyes kept closed in complete bliss and relaxation, still lingering in the feeling of our physical moments, and I moved closer to softly kiss his lips. We had met years ago in that club and much happened to us, but it all led us to this day, to what we had and shared together, and I knew I would change nothing. I knew that also Roman would change nothing.

"I love you," I breathed on his mouth very quietly and his beautiful, emerald eyes opened up in a breath-taking expression.

"And I love you, my angel." We nuzzled more as we softly pecked each other's lips, rolling naked on the bed between the cool sheets, the rings on our fingers. "How do you feel?"

"I feel wonderfully," I replied in all honesty and then I giggled, as something different moved in me. "I also feel quite hungry because you really destroyed me," I confessed and he laughed at that, the sound of it absolutely beautiful.

"I could not help myself and you know it, because you sure did not assist in the matter." I chuckled more, as he was very right. I loved his wild and untamed side in bed, as he loved my dark side.

"How about breakfast in bed? Shall we order it?" I asked.

"As you wish, my angel and my husband."

-THE END-

Author's chit-chat:

So my dear readers, what do you think of the Epilogue? Did you enjoy it and did you expect what I planned for it?

Yes, I had to write about Shane because he was a very important person in Enna's and Roman's life and because their stories became later on connected. I wanted to show you how they met, why Roman was so protective at the beginning when Shane met Emmett and much more.

If you decide to read "All you need is ME" (Shane and Emmett's story) please be aware that the story very much needs editing in terms of grammar and contents. I am actually starting to work on it, but it will take some time. So please, be understanding and if you shall mind the mistakes, then please avoid reading it. Thank you.

Now, back to our Enna and Roman: their story has reached its end and, even if I am a bit sad because they have been a part of me as Witchy and writer, I am very happy I concluded another story, because all the books should have an ending, sooner or later, and because with each story and book I find myself growing and improving as writer, exploring more and learning more. I believe everything was said for them and I could not add more.

I will miss them and you?

They married and I tried to explain how important is for everyone to enjoy such right and opportunity, if desired of course.

I hope you liked how I wrote the wedding, as I could only concentrate on their vows, for the simple reason that they already had reached the deepest love and in their heart, they were already married. Yet, I wanted to give them this dreamy, very happy ending. I believe they deserved it, am I right?

I am working on CH.31 of "Loving You is Forbidden" and stay tuned because tomorrow I am posting something for "Beyond Those Irresistible Eyes".

And, since you all loved Anton and Anya, well, here is the news: I will write their story and it won't be long. What about the title, you ask dear All? The title is: "Kneeling Down For Her Only". What do you think? Do you like it? I might start to post it soon, maybe in a week or two.

Follow me on Instagram and Facebook, if you wish!

Once more, let me know what you think of this chapter and see you all to my next story! Enna, Roman, myself and my Cat wish You all a lovely and magic Saturday. Stay tuned!

Lots of Love, Magic, Hugs and Meows,
-TheWitchAndTheCat-
