ROMAN POV

When my eyes opened, seeing it was still dark outside and hearing the rain drumming on the glass of the window, they closed a moment, savouring this precious moment of quiet life. I was in bed with my angel and he was in my arms, resting his sleeping head on my shoulder and keeping firm hold of my waist, his hair scattered on his beautiful face, on the pillow and on his naked back. I stared at his resting form for a few minutes, simply looking and taking in every little detail of this incredible creature.

It was deceiving quietness and I knew it, but waking up with him in my arms was something that really had me thinking for an instant that nothing could touch this moment and that I could stay here with him forever. Unfortunately, it was not the case and I knew it.

Enna was so gorgeous and perfect, but there was so much more behind his delicate and alluring look, as he had a hidden provoking dark side that last night had me almost slip. When I saw him completely naked on the bed, his foot playing with my hardness, the other one keeping me in place while his eyes smiled of a wicked light, I had to admit it cost me a great deal of effort in staying relatively under control. I am not sure if he was entirely aware of the effect he had on me or if he was aware completely of the way he behaved with me, as it seemed something coming from a hidden and asleep side of him.

And his lips...I closed again my eyes and took a silent deep breath, because something began to stir inside me and it couldn’t get out now. His lips were something to lose myself in the feeling of tasting them, for they were so soft and inviting and so warm...his sweet breath caressing mine, having a taste of him and of his soul. A mute exhale left my lips and I pressed them gently on his forehead.

I pulled the cover over his shoulders, because I didn’t want Enna to feel cold and my hand took to caress his hair.

It was true I had to leave in two weeks or so, but these two weeks weren’t meant to be spent with my angel and the idea grasped my heart painfully. I was waiting to meet those men that small fry told me about and I had to retrieve all the possible information, since without evident proofs you couldn’t go and accuse the son of our boss. The wrong move and word would only slapped back badly and trigger a dangerous chain of reactions. No, even if we had no more doubts, those damn evidences were vital. I had no idea how the boss was going to take it or if he already suspected something, but Anton talked to him already. And there was something else that left me rather restless; he told me about what happened last night in that casino and the fact they were trying to mess with me in such low and pathetic way. It was a bad move and once back in Kiev, I would make them pay for that; but it wasn’t what left me restless. What had me thinking a lot last night was that it seemed unreal that a new group of Chechens was willing to work for someone like Ruslan, even with great promise of turf or whatever it was on the plate. And dealing with this big shot to boost it. That man admitted they had links and that he heard about some war over territory and that could be related to the rumours spread to convince them to deal and cooperate, but...

Fuck.

They were all playing some damn double game and if these dealers were going to find it out and decide to exploit it, no need to explain what mess was going to come out of that. War was almost there and if it reached international involvement then other groups could claim a saying in that and complicate things. What if other families decided to make a truce and take us all down? Boss had one of the most lucrative and large business in Ukraine and enemies interested in his territory and activities were always waiting for the right moment to get at your throat. We already had some shit in the past and we signed a truce and pact with a family in Kharkiv when a new group tried to spoil the tension going between the two heads.

But now? There was no truce to sign as we had no counterpart involved and mutually damaged. Damn it, this was complicating things and I was afraid the Chechens were about to pull out some dirty trick and I had to move and find what I needed and then go back to Kiev and settle down everything before things took a bad direction. An international war with such betrayal inside the organization meant vital threat to the core of our group and to our lives and I had to keep mine intact, because it belonged to Enna and I hadn’t met this angel to only spend few hours with him.

To be with Enna...I sighed and shifted my eyes at his face. It meant leaving the organization and much more, and it wasn’t going to be something easy and immediate and the boss could decide otherwise and what to do? My angel had to stay out of this. It never occurred to me this scenario and to be honest, at the moment I had no idea how I was going to deal with that. I shook my head and reprimanded myself. It wasn’t the time to think about this now, yes. Yes of course; now I had to accomplish my mission and avoid a war and get rid of those vermin, and then I will find the right way to get back to my angel.

I made a promise last night and it was a promise going to be fulfilled.

Enna slightly shifted in my arms, but did not wake up and with my lips on his silky hair, I murmured him another promise.

“I will be always yours, my love. No matter what, I will come back to you.”

My arms tightened around him and I let this brief moment of quiet and peace wrap around us, just looking at him. Enna kept sleeping for another while and then he stirred and his fingers travelled from my waist to my face; he tilted his head to better look at me and his shining blue eyes opened and smiled. My lips responded immediately to such tender smile and I felt his fingers in my hair.

“Roman...” He simply whispered keeping his eyes on mine and I said no word, simply kept stroking his hair. “Good morning.” He murmured after a long moment.

“Good morning, my love.” I said back. “Did you sleep well?”

“Oh I slept very well in your arms.” Another rather mischievous smile grazed his lips and he snuggled closer. “I wish I could spend the entire day in bed with you, just in your arms, listening to the rain and talking with you.”

“We can spend this evening in bed.” He lifted his head and looked at me with a questioning expression. Maybe he had plans with his friends and family, that could be possible and I could not meet them yet. “Maybe you have plans for tonight?” He shook his head immediately and pushed his upper body up, to take my face in his hands.

“I just thought you maybe had to...to do something, because last night you received that message and you seemed tense when staring at the phone, so I was surprised. I have nothing to do and I would cancel it anyway, as I want to spend every minute with you.”

My arms snaked around his smaller and naked frame and in one quick move my body was pressing his down, feeling his now hardening member pressing on mine through the fabric of my underwear. Enna slowly descended my back with his nails and arched under my touch when my lips reached his neck.

“You have work today and I have something to take care of, but I will be here when you are back, as I want to spend every possible minute with you too. But my angel, I need to ask you something.”

“What is it, Roman?” He asked brushing my ear with his soft lips.

“It is better if I do not see your friends and your sister, because I do not want to involve them and use another name. It would complicate things, you understand, yes?” He nodded and I sighed out. “Forgive me, because I ask you a lot, but is what is best to do. Do not talk about me, please.”

“I know that, love, so don’t worry. I understand in which position you are and why it is better not meeting my friends and family and I agree, especially with my sister and her friends. My father is another deal and so is Cillian, but you are right.” Enna said nothing more, simply hugged me tightly.

I realized I had somehow underestimated him, as there was no need to tell him such things; he understood the complexity of the situation already.

“Forgive me, Enna. It is just my habit to always plan and make sure that..” He had pushed me up and placed a finger on my lips.

“You do not need to explain me, it is normal for you and I love this side of you, very efficient and resolute. You are such incredible man, Roman..” We exchanged a long glance and then he smiled. “I better take a shower and get ready and I will make breakfast for you, what do you prefer?”

I softly chuckled, because this seriously was not what my life was, and this taste of sweetness was really inebriating.

“And what if I want to take a shower with you?” My eyes stared down at his and they didn’t miss the sudden light blazing in them and the way his lips curved. “Then anything is fine for me, if you let me help you.”

“Shower with you? Hmm, now it’s you tempting me...” He captured his bottom lip between his teeth and gave me a very stirring glance, while his legs wrapped around mine.

We had showered together, but like last night, we simply washed each other and again it cost me no little effort to restrain what came over me in seeing his breathtaking body drenched in water and completely in my hands.

Enna was now making breakfast and told me to simply sit and wait, but I could not just stay there, therefore I kept with him and made coffee. He looked absolutely beautiful and it seemed my eyes could not get enough of him, because they followed this angel in everything he did. His hair was pulled back in a blonde tress and those adherent jeans wrapped around his sensual and elegant legs in a very dangerous way; the simple loose top hung on his shoulders revealed some of his pale skin. I moved closer and placed my hands on his hips, breathing the scent of his hair. He leaned on me and then turned around.

“Do you prefer bacon?” He asked while taking a sip of coffee. “I am making an omelette with cheese and tomato, but if you don’t like it, I can make something else. I don’t have bacon or ham at the moment, as this evening I’m going to buy groceries..”

“Yes, the omelette is good for me and looks very good.” My hands kept in his hips and dragged him closer to me, smiling while listening to his melodic voice talking quite fast.

“But what do you like? What do you usually eat for breakfast? The coffee is really nice, Roman, so what do you usually prefer to eat, because you sure have some...oh dear me the omelette!” He turned around and shook his head muttering something, which had me chuckling, because sometimes he had these moments when he would ask many questions at once. “It’s safe, for a moment I thought I had ruined it, so you see? You distract me.” He removed the pan from the flame and turning around he giggled and wrapped his slender arms over my neck. “Especially when you are just wearing a pair of jeans...I really like your tattoos..” One of his fingers lingered on the pattern of the rose inked on my chest.

“Does it bother you?”

“No, I really like this distraction.” His lips lingered a brief moment on mine and I took a deep breath, driving my hands up to his back.

“Let’s have breakfast, Enna, or you will distract me and you have work, yes?” He nodded and gave my lips another soft touch and when he went to move, I kept him there in place, in my hands and tightened the grip. His eyes blinked a moment shocked when my lips pressed against his, not softly like he did, but more harshly; I felt his fingers quickly travelling to my hair pulling it and when his body pressed on mine, I jerked my head back. “Forgive me...Enna, your lips, your touch..I need more control.”

My angel shook his head and smiled, his knuckles now stroking my cheek.

“I should be the one saying that, as I cannot really resist just pecking your lips, even knowing what that means for you and how you feel, because Roman, I feel it in me.” We said nothing for probably a minute, me lost in his shining and stirring blue eyes, in his tender smile. He tiptoed and kissed the tip of my nose. “Breakfast? Before it gets cold?”

“Yes my angel, breakfast.”

I helped him setting the table and then we sat down and he told me about the place where he worked, about the manager and that Priya, the girl I saw the first time we met, was his colleague and told me that Cillian, his friend, was probably going to be at the shop today to simply annoy him and more. I thought a moment about that man, this Cillian person, and the way he hugged Enna that evening; yes, they were best friends and my angel said how they were like brothers and that he helped him with that bastard, which I still needed to take care of, but there was something there and I questioned myself if it was not just my jealousy and being protective of Enna.

When I told him I would die for him, it wasn’t a lie. And I would kill anyone trying to touch him or hurt him. The only thing that stopped me from hunting down that piece of crap was the promise Enna had me making.

“Do you like it?” He asked intently observing me while I took a bite of what he had cooked.

I smiled and cupped the side of his face, holding his gaze.

“I love it; you are very good cook.” His smiled dazzled me when he lingered on my touch, leaving his eyes ajar and almost purring. Enna was just sensual creature, as just such little gesture was enough to stir and compel me.

“Glad to hear that.”

I know he had more questions since he saw me last night staring at my phone probably looking rather serious, but it was better to give him time as for the moment there was not much I could say. And I still had no complete answer about one question in particular. We both just knew that I was going to keep my promise, but I still had no idea how.

“When do you finish to work?” I asked him.

“Hmm, today probably around six, if our manager didn’t make another mess with the appointments.” He twirled a loose strand of hair around his finger and rolled his eyes. “Sometimes he is such a disorganized manager, you have no idea. It makes everything much harder and hectic. But wait, will you come at the shop and..” His voice drifted away and he shook his head. “Sorry, it was a silly question. You can stay here if you want.”

I was asking him a lot and I knew it, but selfishly I could not let go of him; he was my life now and there was nothing and nobody that could take him away from me.

“I need to go back to the hotel and work. Do you think your friends will have plan this weekend?” I wasn’t sure when to meet those dealers, because I was still waiting for the right occasion. The right word had been passed and it was just a matter of a few days.

“Maybe, because we usually meet during weekends and go out together, but I will find an excuse, of course, if you will be here.”

I took his hand in mine and entwined our fingers.

“I do not know, maybe I will. Sorry I cannot say much about this, you do understand, yes? But today and tomorrow I will be here.”

“I can give you the keys of the apartment, if you prefer.” I shook my head and smiled; this angelic man in front of me will never cease to surprise me. He was ready to give me the keys of his house.

“No need, but thank you Enna. I will be here when you are back.” I smirked for a moment, because I was not going to let him walk back alone.

“If you are here, do you want to do something?” He bit his lip and thought about that. “No, it would be silly, because better avoid being seen together, am I right?”

“For now, that is correct. Forgive me, because I ask you so much and I do not want you to lie to people, but it is not easy and mistakes are not allowed.” The idea of someone tracking me down and finding out about my angel froze my blood and set me on some state of uncontrollable anger; I knew nobody now had tracked me down, but it was a chance to always keep in mind. Anton told me enough last night and they were moving even more openly now, and what if they somehow found out I was here? I sensed there was something else he had in mind, but didn’t want to say it yet. Yes, mistakes were not allowed and now even more than before. “You do not know why I am here and it is better in this way, believe me, but maybe one day I will tell you.”

His eyes studied mine and I could see the questions thundering in his mind, crossing his beautiful face; his fingers gave mine a squeeze and he brought them to his lips.

“Roman, will you be able to leave that world? I mean, the organization?”

No point in telling lies.

“I have to be honest, Enna. I do not know if that will be something easy to do, but I don’t think so. I saw people change life and it is possible, but my position is different and the boss needs me, but I made a promise to you, yes?” He just nodded, grasping the gravity of our situation. “I will not leave you and I will find the right way.”

Enna stood up and walked to me, making me push the chair back and then sat on my laps; he locked his arms around my neck and rested his forehead on mine.

“I know you will, because you promised me, and I’ll be here waiting for you, Roman. No matter what, I’ll be here waiting for you.” There were no doubts or hesitation in his words and his voice was firm, just like his stare, piercing me with breathtaking intensity. I closed my arms around his body and rested my lips on his neck, as I didn’t trust myself enough now to touch his lips; I was dying to take his mouth and in this particular moment, at the sound of those words, I had to fight desire even harder.

“Yes, I promised you.”

I checked the room and the windows, an old habit, and everything was fine; the internet connection had been already secured days ago, connecting to a key and not the hotel’s line, and now I could just surf the net as much as I wanted, trying to hack info from some websites. I tried to retrieve some details about those dealers from files of the police and unfortunately there was little if just nothing relevant; they weren’t the like of the one from last time. One of them have been to prison of course, but for minor crimes and not related to drug traffic and the other had almost nothing to use on my advantage; I’ll have to bug their phones or their car before the meeting. They pictures were there anyway and it helped a bit, but something left me dubious. That man had talked about a third person that sometimes played quite the role, but he couldn’t tell the name or describe the face, because they never met. Too bad there was nothing about this third man and with no clue it was pointless keeping researching.

I closed the files after memorizing all the details and then decided to have a look at Enna’s friends and family. Not for much, but it was in my nature and wanted to make sure what people were, as sooner or later I was going to face them; not that I plan to have it happen any time soon, but better be prepared for eventual reaction.

He had already told me about his parents and I left the details of his mother’s death out; my angel said she died for a rare form of cancer and there was nothing to do about that and from the way he talked about it, clearly the pain for the loss of his mother was still fresh. No matter it happened already years ago. Something I could not understand, as I never felt the need of finding my real parents and sure never felt the necessity of having a family. The present was what mattered to me; to survive and make it to the following day, even if that meant to kill. But I felt his pain in me, as I felt how close he was to his father, Eamon O’Kelley, a man that from what I could see now had a past in the Army. Good. And bad. It could be good for a way and bad for another. He had retired after his wife’s departure and decided to become a farmer; from the picture I could see he looked nothing like Enna and had strong eyes. This man gave me the impression of someone that would quickly go to the point. His sister, Ciara O’Kelley, looked similar to my angel and was two years younger and living with some friends in the centre of Dublin, working as sale assistant.

When I looked about his friends there was nothing relevant and I skipped through, aside reading something about that man, Cillian Flannery. A college professor and with a soft spot for cars, expensive cars, from what I could see here, and three years older than Enna. He had the typical look of someone rather arrogant and short-tempered, and I wondered if he really only felt friendship for my angel or something more. Difficult to say right now, as I should meet him in person, but that was risky at the moment and therefore had to trust my love in that. I tried to dig much info out, but there was much worth notice and so I switched it off, but then a particular caught my attention. I scratched my chin and focused on the piece of information in front of me. It didn’t mean much, as it was something not so uncommon, but nonetheless, better keep it in mind.

Waiting without being able to act was something that didn’t sit well with me, as it made me feel restless and I hated wasting time, but again, I could not afford to barge to them out of the blue and ruin the plan; plus, I knew they were not in Ireland right now, as the informer confirmed me. The informer, ah yes. Another person to take care of once the meeting was done. And how could I make him disappear? The options were countless and personally I would go for the quickest, but another dead body linked to those men? Not a smart idea. Well, once the meeting was done and information collected, then I could care less about playing completely safe. So he had to wait.

The fact that nobody knew I was here offered me the perfect ground; that man, Mr. Mayer, talked about a woman and I wondered who that could be, as I knew Ruslan used to be tied to someone years ago and there was a woman very powerful in his family. Could that be the same person? Or was someone else? After what Anton told me we had no more doubts about his betrayal, but again, what about the son of the boss? Shit. He had links just for being the son of a boss and some old pieces of crap held him in favour. Anton told me that boss Boris said not much about Maksym’ involvement and that it sounded rather absurd for many reasons. So, proofs were vital.

I let go of a soundless breath and lay down on the bed, staring at the ceiling. Right now I could only wait and prepare myself for the upcoming battle and war once back in Kiev, because they clearly declared war to us and to me. My eyes glanced at the clock on the nightstand and it was still early to see Enna; I still had doubts about this relationship with him, because it was dangerous, I feared to involve him in a way or another and you never knew, but I selfishly could not let go of him. There was nothing to worry about, for I would protect him if anything was going to happen.

ENNA POV

I sat a moment and took a long breath; dear me, I was mentally and physically exhausted and trying to conceal and control my behaviour and emotions was not helping. Priya had her eyes on me the entire morning and of course she smelt something; of course she realized something had changed in me. I had tried my best in keeping normal and my usual self and thanks to the busy morning I dodged her questions, but now the salon was basically empty and it was a matter of time until she sat beside me and ...

“Enna sweetie, you look radiant this morning. What happened last night?” I whipped my head to the side and my friend was there, standing straight with a hand holding a cup of coffee and the other planted on her hip. Oh dear me, I felt suddenly so tired.

“Do I?” I played it cool smiling and taking her mug and sipping a bit of coffee. Ugh, my nose twitched at the taste. “Priya, this is the most horrible coffee I have ever drunk.”

She rolled her eyes and Sarah giggled walking to us and sitting right beside me. I almost bit my lip in relief when she joined us, because it meant no third degree from Priya.

“Let me try it, usually bad coffee for people is great coffee for me.” She took a long gulp and then coughed and made a very dramatic face. “Honey, what the hell did you put in here? It’s terribly bitter.”

“It’s not my fault, apparently the coffee machine is broken and who do you think we should thank for that?”

“It wasn’t me!” David called from his place, now washing hair to an old lady that came every week at the same time and same day for just hairdo and a nice chat with us. She was a sweet person and I think she felt lonely and she confessed how this time here with us was precious to her.

“Dave, we know it was not you.” I answered, standing up and going to the basin. “Mrs. Gillian, you have such lovely dress today, you should tell us where you go for shopping, don’t you agree Priya?”

My friend casted me a quick look and I could tell she was annoyed I had managed to evade her and her questions, but it was only temporary, trust me.

“Yes, Enna is right, you must tell us and oh you should see the new Christmas collection makeup that arrived yesterday, we have a new mascara and lip-gloss that would be perfect for you.”

“You are all always so lovely, what would I do without you?”

“The question is what we would do without you, Mrs. Gillian? You always gift us with your bright mood and lovely cookies.” Yes, she usually brought to us handmade cookies, cakes, muffins, etc..and I thought it was very mother-like of her. “I need to pay attention to my diet.” I joked, making her laugh softly.

“Enna love, I am sure every woman envies your perfect and slender figure and every man should envy your perfect and gentle manners.” She smiled and shook her head. “And talking about men, have you finally found your right one? Because you sure deserve to be happy and loved.”

“Yes sweetie, tell us, did you find your right man? Maybe a mysterious stranger with dangerous looks?” My friend had obviously to say something about that, of course, and I quickly shot her a meaningful glare as to say “not a word, missy” and she got it, given the way she smirked.

“I am sorry, but apparently the right time hasn’t come yet, so no right man for me.” I had crossed two fingers behind my back, as I didn’t like to lie and anyway didn’t like to say something like that knowing Roman was my destined half.

“Are you sure, Enna?” Priya insisted, studying me with her quick and inquisitive eyes.

“I am sure and you would know that, anyway.” She better get the sense of my words at once and thank God, she did.

“That’s right, I would want to know.” And that was her warning.

Oh dear me. Good thing Cillian wasn’t here today, as he had cancelled his appointment this morning, saying he had some urgent business.

The door of the salon opened and when I turned my head to welcome the new customer, my face fell down.

The last famous words.

“Cillian?” I asked rather surprised and when I caught Priya’s expression I knew what was going on and it sort of irritated me. They had to understand I had my own private life and what I did with that was just my business, as they knew I wasn’t someone reckless or careless, and they knew I could take care of myself. Yes, I made a mistake with Michael, but that was it.

“Heya baby, I made it, even if late, so how about you fix my hair?” My friend asked like nothing, just walking to me and wrapping his arms around my waist.

“Oh, don’t you make a wonderful couple?” Mrs. Gillian chirped and I put a forced smile on my face, as the idea had me flinch; not because of my friend that I loved very much, but because he wasn’t Roman.

Roman was my man, he was my other half.

“That’s true, isn’t it?” Cillian teased stroking his nose on my cheek and I slapped the back of his neck. “Ouch babe, you are so mean sometimes.”

“And you are so immature sometimes.” I turned around and shot him quite the glare and he got it at first, so he sighed and let go of me.

“Have you had lunch?” He asked and I shook my head. “Enna, is almost three in the afternoon and you didn’t have lunch yet?”

“We didn’t have time, handsome; the shop was fecking busy. But Mrs. G. brought us some extremely yummy scones and you should try one.” Sarah answered for me and I gave her a grateful smile. She was such a sweet and cheerful girl. “And of course the boss wasn’t here and you know how our Enna is desired.”

Cillian sent me a strange look and I creased my brows not understanding it, but then he winked and I let it go.

“Then can I buy you lunch? Just a sandwich and then you fix my hair, since, bloody hell, it grew so much in these past weeks.” He pulled a lock to show me how much it became longer and I just giggled. I couldn’t stay mad at him for long.

“Fine, let’s have a quick sandwich and does anyone want something from the shop? Maybe a decent coffee?” I stuck my tongue out at Priya and she snorted something, but then nodded.

“Definitely a good coffee.”

“Same for me, thanks.”

“And for me, sweetie.”

“Alright, since you are the one that initiated this, you shall pay for all of them.” I said to Cillian brushing my tress behind the shoulder and he lifted his hands in front of me defeated.

“Fine Enna, you won it.”

We sat on a table while we waited for the coffee to be ready and I bit my sandwich and right then realized I was tremendously famished. Cillian looked stylish as usual and leaned on the chair drinking his cappuccino and studying me and I waited for his questions, but when he kept silent, I spoke first.

“Say what’s on your mind and I know you want to say something, so let us save time.”

He sighed out and placed the mug on the table and ran a hand in his curly hair.

“Enna, I am sorry to be a nosy prick when I promised not to bother you with this anymore, but you looked like hell till yesterday, I mean, you never look like hell, because you know how gorgeous you are no matter what, but you were clearly hurting and today you are another person. Priya was simply worried, that’s all and she knows how close we are and that’s why she sent me a message. Hey, has he come back to you?”

I swallowed the bite of food and keeping my face calm I put the sandwich back on the plate and took a silent breath to able myself to pull out the right expression. I crossed again those two fingers under the table and made sure to look directly into his eyes. Telling lies this straight and blatantly to Cillian made me uneasy, but there wasn’t much I could do about that and Roman was right. Our situation was complicated and difficult and he could not afford mistakes; even if I knew nothing about his duties and reasons for being here, I understood enough and last night his expression was tense and wary.

I loved him with all myself and even if it was selfish what I was doing now, I did not care.

I wanted to be with Roman and I needed him, and I would anything for him and to be with him.

“No, he has not, why you ask me this?” I made a question to change side of the conversation.

“Because you suddenly changed, according to Priya, given I haven’t seen you since we had dinner together.”

“I just am in a very good mood today and you know it’s normal for me. We are approaching Christmas and it makes me all giddy and feeling like a child.” I giggled and he chuckled with me, but then he took my hand and stared at me serious.

“Enna, I love you and you know it, please, don’t do anything hasty. That man doesn’t deserve you, because he just left you without a word.”

At his words my hand that was on my leg clenched in sudden and very strong irritation, which was close to anger, for I could not tolerate to hear such things against my love. But I gulped it down and set a hard stare on him.

“Cillian, I already said that I don’t want to talk about it and that what we had that night was right. Now please, you and Priya need to understand that I have my own life and that I know how to take care of myself. I already have parents, even though my mother has left us.” I stood up when I heard my name, as the coffees were ready and I took a step to the counter, but my friend stood up and placed a hand on my shoulder.

“It was my treat, remember?” He winked and paid for the coffees and then collected my jacket, helping me in wearing it; then his hand stopped on my cheek and he smiled. “I’m sorry Enna, I hate when I make you mad, ‘cause I feel a bloody tool. Forgive me? How about we have dinner tonight, just the two of us? I can cook for you.”

I shook my head and smiled.

“Of course I forgive you, Cillian, just try to understand what I mean. And I am sorry, but tonight I do not think I can make it, maybe another day?” He said nothing for a moment and then nodded. “Well, let’s go, so I can try to fix those wild curls and you can begin to redeem yourself by serving coffee in the shop.” I winked and walked to the door, knowing he was probably grumbling some curse.

When we walked back to the salon, my eyes quickly peeked at the big clock hung on the blue wall of the main area and I tried with all myself to repress a smile.

I could not wait to finish and go back home, as I knew Roman would be waiting for me.

ROMAN POV

I was waiting for Enna outside the place where he worked, of course not right at the door, but on the other side of the street and pretending to look a window display while drinking a bottle of coke. I had worn a black coat with hood and a hat, to disguise my looks and when I saw him stepping outside with his colleagues and closing the door, a smile rose on my lips. He was such a view and I could not wait to have him in my arms; but I took a step back and disappeared in the shadow casted on the street by the building and let him go ahead, following only when I made sure he was alone.

He took a public transportation called LUAS and got out at the same stop of this morning, stopping then at some small shops to buy something to probably cook dinner. I let him walk for a while and when we almost reached his place, after checking the street and making sure nothing particular was around, I approached him.

“Enna, my angel.” I took his hand in mine and he spun immediately around to meet my face with a dazzling and beautiful smile.

“Roman..” He whispered under his breath, throwing his arm around me. I automatically hugged him tightly to me and rested my lips on his hair. We kept a moment like this and then I moved back. “Sorry, I could not resist it and..” I placed my thumb on his lips.

“It is ok; nobody is around, but better in your apartment. How are you? Are you tired?”

He shook his head and kept smiling.

“I am just so happy to see you that I don’t even know if I am tired or not.” I chuckled at his words and took his bag and he let me.

“Shall we go?”

“Yes.” He bit his lips and sent me again that alluring and dangerously inviting smile, taking a step closer to me, so that our bodies were pressed together and his divine scent filled me completely. “You will have a shower with me, right?” I smirked and not resisting the pull toward this angel, I fisted his hair.

“As you wish.” I murmured in his ear, smirking more when he trembled feeling my lips on his bare skin.

We stepped inside his apartment and after removing our shoes and jackets I pressed him against the wall and blocked him between my arms, running his expose neck with my nose and lips, avid to have a taste of his sweet and soft skin, wanting to hear his breaths and seeing his face consumed by the desire. When my lips moved up to the shell of his ear, reaching and nibbling his earlobe, Enna moaned my name in my ear, sinking his hands in my hair and grinding on me; something stirred inside me and I felt the need to make him mine once again. So I slowly moved my hands from his arms to his sides to seize the hem of his top and pull it over his head.

“Oh Roman, will you take me here this time?” He pulled back a moment to eye me with an intense and consuming glance and I heard my own growling. He sort of smiled and smirked and sinuously moved his body on mine, letting his hands descending my chest and stopping right at the belt of my jeans. “But we..” I silenced him by pressing my lips on his and he gasped surprised.

“I need you, Enna and do not worry.” He knew what I meant, as I had made a purchase today. I undid his belt and popped the button of his very adherent jeans open, slipping my hands inside and stopping them on the sensual curves of his perfect ass. I groaned at the feeling and softly bit his neck. “Will you mind it here? Maybe you prefer the bed or sofa?”

“Do it, Roman, and now.” He basically ordered and that fuelled my burning desire to dangerous extent, because I clawed his ass stronger, making him arch and moan.

I needed to have Enna; I needed to make him mine, for he was mine as I entirely belonged to him.

“Be mine, Enna, be mine and only mine.” I said while easing his jeans and underwear lower on his hips. His hands quickly moved to my shirt and trembling for the excitement they began to open it.

“My love...” He panted more when I took him in my hand. “Ahhhh....oh my Roman...ahhh...”

His fingers were now harshly attacking my shirt as his hips began to buckle on my fist, and the need grew more compelling and Enna pushed it down my shoulders and then... then something rang. It was his cell phone and I stopped, closing my eyes to repress the sudden annoyance for whoever had decided to call him in such a moment.

“Why did you stop?” He breathed on my lips.

“Your phone, my angel.”

“Ignore it.” He just said and his lips were on my neck and I growled more, but then the door bell rang.

“Oh dear me, who is at this hour?” He pulled back and saw how he had gone suddenly serious. “It cannot be..”

“If it is that bastard, let me talk to him.” His eyes stared at me while his lips trembled and I was aware of what he saw in my eyes. “Check your phone first.” My blood had gone now completely calm and cold, entirely focused on what could be the occasion to get rid of that piece of shit.

He barely nodded and looked at the screen of his phone, which rang a second time. He gasped and shot me a confused glance.

“What is it, my angel?”

“It’s my dad.”  He seemed surprised and then he exhaled. “Oh dear me, I was supposed to call him last night and I completely forgot about that, sorry I better answer.”

I nodded and went to give him some privacy, but he stopped me, shaking his head and mouthing “stay here, please”, so I pulled him in my arms and he leaned on my chest.

“Dad, hello.” He paused a moment and sighed. “I am sorry I forgot to call you last night, but I was so tired and...yes, daddy, I am perfectly fine and ....what? Where are you now?”

Enna turned his head and with wide eyes he covered the speaker with one hand and murmured to me in a breath.

“My dad is here, what do I ..?” But we both heard a voice calling him from the phone and bewildered he answered.

“Yes, I am here, I was just surprised you did not call me this morning, yes, wait a moment, I just came back from work..”

“Let him in, Enna.” I whispered barely audible to his other ear and he whipped his head to me with a clear shocked expression. “It is ok.” He nodded and smiled.

“Give me a moment, as I was about to go shower, yes.” He turned off the conversation and exhaled sounding tired.

“I am sorry Roman, I did not expect him to come over, but he is very protective and he loves me and Ciara dearly and so if he doesn’t hear from us, he worries and, I am sorry.”

“Enna, shhh...you have nothing to be sorry about. Let fix our clothes and open the door.”

“But what about you? What should I say?”

I thought about it for a second and then took a decision.

“Do you mind if I speak first to your father?” He shook his head. “Then it is good.”

I closed the buttons of my shirt and he did the same with his jeans, fixing his top and his hair and taking a deep breath, he gave me a smile and quickly brushed my lips, pressed the button of the intercom and opened the door.

Author's chit-chat:

Is Roman going to meet Enna's father? And what do you think will happen in that case? Did you pick something else up or not? Any thought?

I added on the list of protagonist the name and actor for Enna's father: Eamon O'Kelley --> Liam Neeson.

Going to update next chapter this week, so no more waiting this long and well, won't add anything else.

Until next time xox
