IMPORTANT Author's NOTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In this Story, Zelda had a small sister who was also killed, her name was Charlotte.

Link's Home 

Zelda woke up to a weird feeling on her shoulder and a pillow harder than usual. Then she remembered the night before. 

Zelda fell asleep on Link's chest. 

She quickly stood up to see if Link was awake. He wasn't.

She was thankful for all the things Link did for her and promised to do, but she felt like she needed to leave, she needed to think about everything, she has to rethink her actions and get her head clear. 

She looked around looking for a paper and a pencil to leave Link a note. When she found what she needed she wrote 

Thank you for what you have done for me. 

See you at work.

She then left the house looking back once more to see if this was really where she wanted to live. She didn't know yet, she needed time to think about everything.

But first, she needs to head home to get some new clothes.

She parked in front of her big house that to her looked like it would crush her at any second. 

When she walked into the completely empty house, Zelda got chills running down her spine. She walked up the stairs into her parent's room, where her "bed" and her drawer were standing, she looked at the red smiley at her wall.

She then felt anger but mainly frustration in her heart. 

Maybe Link was right, waking up not having to see the blood of my family is better, but I really can't let my family down like that.

She quickly redressed and went back to her car to go to work because her Captain called and they had a new murderer to solve.

When Zelda arrived the whole team was already standing around the desk looking at the files of the case. 

"Okay so there had been a murder in Tarrey town on a diamond worker there, also there seems to be a diamond worth more money than all of us have combined stolen."

Those were the Captain's words before everybody went to their cars to go to the place where the murder happened.

When they got there Sheik, Mipha, and Urbosa started talking to the neighbors and the maid's working at this really huge house.

Zelda and Link started looking around, not being fully awake Zelda asked the maid if she could make herself a tea which the maid agreed to. So when Zelda got into the kitchen to make herself tea she found a flavor that smelled like wild berries. Without thinking about it a lot she drank the tea when it was done, that's when she heard a noise coming from a pot right in front of her. Then the pot started moving and making louder noises.

Zelda decided to look into the pot to see what's in there. When she opened the pod a bunny jumped out and started escaping. 

Zelda went after the bunny and saw it jumping towards the neighbor's house. She lost sight and asked two weird-looking older people if they saw the bunny. They looked like garden gnomes but Zelda didn't seem to find anything about this situation odd. 

The two "gnomes" told her that the bunny went further into the house to the garden.

Zelda thanked them and went on to go into the garden which looked a lot like a small labyrinth. When she got there she saw the bunny hopping towards a young woman, Zelda thought she looked like she was around 19 maybe.

"Oh, you found my bunny thank you."

The girl said before putting the bunny in her cage again.

"Ah, so this one belongs to you then?"

"Yeah, she's mine she escaped for the third time this week." the girl took care of her bunny and then continued talking. "You took your time to get here."

"You were expecting me to come?"

"Yeah of course." the girl just told her that like it was nothing.

"So do you know of the murderer that took place here?" Zelda was a bit confused but didn't let that show.

"Yeah, poor Mr. Mason." the girl said while turning away to sit down on a bench.

"Do you know anything that could help us?"

"I don't know you tell me." the girl sat down on the bench and looked at Zelda.

"How should I know what you know?"

"How should I know if what I know, helps you?" she crossed her arms and looked at Zelda with a cheeky smile.

"Interesting you're testing me." Zelda couldn't help but smile and wonder what that girl is on about. "Why are you testing me? I know that you don't have a problem with cops, you also often think that you're smarter than the other person. I can see it."

The girl just smiled at her.

"What's your name?" Zelda asked

"Do I really need to tell you?"

"Oh you're not a suspect yet, you don't have to tell me anything."

"Then I won't tell you."

Zelda looked at her and wanted to leave.

"Wait where are you going?"

"You're just playing with me if you don't have anything to tel-" Zelda was cut off by the girl saying

"Stop."

Zelda stopped not turning around yet. The strange girl got up and walked toward her

"So who is playing with who, walking away to get me to talk? That doesn't work on me:"

"Well, it seems to be working just fine."

They both now stood in front of each other.

"I will help you, because I'm bored, in my world, nothing really happens." The girl smiles at Zelda.

"What kind of world is that?"

"Follow me." the girl left and Zelda followed she is now confused by the girl's actions.

They drove to Mr. Mason's (the victim) workplace. The place looked magical with diamonds everywhere. No matter where you looked it was shining right at you.

"This is strange. It looks like a place of dreams." Zelda knew that something was wrong no way anyone would work at a place like that.

"Warm but not hot yet." those were the words of the girl that caught Zelda off guard.

"What?" Zelda looked at the girl. "Who the hell are you? Tell me your name." Zelda demanded.

"What is it with you and my name?"

"What are you hiding?"

"You tell me you're the cop who works with a mentalist."

"I never talked about my partner. How would you know he is a mentalist?"

"Well that's weird, isn't it? How do I know it then?" No matter her tries Zelda didn't get the girl to talk. Not yet at least.

"You're playing a game with me I want to know why." Zelda's voice was a bit harsher now. "What's your name and who are you?"

"Charlotte."

"That's just half a name but a start." Zelda knew her sister was called like that but she also knew that there were more people called like that as well. "It's a nice name. My sister was called Charlotte."

"I know." Charlotte stated with tears in her eyes. 

"No, you can't know that." Zelda was confused and thought about leaving the girl but she was too interested in her.

The girl just nodded her head signaling that she disagreed with Zelda's statement.

"Who told you to come to me? My family's murderer?" Zelda thought that only the murderer would know what her sister's name was since her name was never mentioned to anyone.

"Argh, my family's murder that's all I hear all the time." the girl was annoyed and made that very visible

"You're not my sister. My sister got killed. I found her body. Next to my parents."

"You're safe, smart and you're being loved." that's what the girl said and Zelda was once again caught off guard because these were the word Zelda told her sister every night before bed.

"Who told you these words?"

"You did." Charlotte was now crying. "Every time you put me to sleep."

That's when Link and Sheik came in.

"Zelda you found the workplace without us, good job."

"Link please meet this girl here. She seems to be playing a game with me." Zelda pointed at the girl standing next to her.

"And who are you miss?" Link asked nicely.

"Hi, I'm her sister, Charlotte."

"Oh hi, I heard a lot from you." Link shook the girl's hand. "It's nice to meet you."

Zelda interrupted with anger in her voice.

"My sister is DEAD! She's dead!" She looks into the girl's eyes "She's dead! Who are you!?" Tears streaming out of her eyes. Pain and confusion in her voice.

Link looked at Sheik.

"She has another phase again Sheik."

"Yea I see."

Sheik walked up to Zelda and told her to sit down.

Zelda moved back slowly with tears in her eyes.

"What's going on with you?" Zelda was now crying and moving away even further. She looked at the 3 standing there. Her heart was aching.

"It's okay we can explain but first, sit down." Sheik told Zelda.

"No! My sister is dead!"

Zelda collapsed.
