Zelda's Home

Zelda was at home and met up with Mipha und Urbosa to talk about the newest problem. Link.

Link was very distant the last couple of days he barely talked to her and looked at her even fewer times. She doesn't know why he acts like this so she has to talk with her friends maybe they got advice for her.

She was close to tears while talking.

"I really don't know what happened guys, after the case with the bomb he suddenly was so cold to me. He also just shows up to work when he really needs to, when he doesn't need to he just works from home or at the crime scene itself. I don't know what to do."

The two girls just looked at her with pity in their eyes, trying to come up with an answer. Urbosa was the one to talk first.

"Come on Zelda, it's okay. But have you thought about why this may have happened?"

"I did, and I don't know. All I know is that he is acting like a complete jackass."

"But this is not Link, you know him better than this. He is a nice guy and he always has been, he is respectful thoughtful, and never wants to disappoint anyone. There has to be a reason for this behavior."

"Yeah well, what is the reason." 

Urbosa didn't know, she wasn't link after all, but Mipha did have an idea.

"After you got shot you told him that you build up a wall and that you need time for it to come down. Might it be the case that he is tired of waiting? He is now waiting for almost half a year and nothing happened."

"So it's my fault? I need time to heal. How can he be tired of waiting and act like this then?"

"Can you blame him? I mean the guy loves you more than anything and despite the way, you behave you are also mad in love with him too."

Zelda looked at Mipha in a way that told her that she didn't agree with what she said. Mipha just shook her head and continues.

"What? Was this supposed to be a big secret?"

"Yes! No? Do you think he knows?"

"He does that's why he is acting this way, he knows you love each other but still you keep him waiting."

"Yeah but Mipha..." Zelda was cut off by Mipha.

"I know you're dealing with stuff. But you can't ask him to wait forever. Unless of course, you are okay with the way he behaves."

Zelda was defeated she knew Mipha is right but, she doesn't have anything to say against it but still, something is holding her back. 

Before anyone could say anything else, Zelda's phone rang. It was the Police Precinct. They have a new murderer case. They all got up and went to their cars.

The murder happened at a small motel, it was a very cheap and dirty place, nothing unusual for a murder to take place here. The whole team arrived, except for Link. He was late. But after half an hour he too showed up.

But not in the way they might have liked. Zelda wanted to talk to him but with how he was arriving she quickly changed her mind. 

Link came in a white brand new Mercedes-Benz with two other girls in the car as well. Without stepping too close to the girls they looked like top-tier hookers. When Link got out of the car the two girls did too. They both kissed Link and then got into the car and drove away. 

Zelda couldn't say a word, she was completely shocked by Link's behavior. She couldn't talk to him, not now at least. Maybe never. Unfortunately, they are partners and have to work on this case together so when they walked towards the victim Zelda couldn't stand the silence.

"Link." She topped and forced Link to stop too. "Is everything okay?"

Link looked confused, then smiled and said

"Never better."

And then left Zelda standing alone. Heartbroken. Confused. She slows walks after him into the motel where the victim laid.

Sheik explains the situation.

"The victim is a 21-year-old guy from Hyrule City. We don't quite know how he died but we suspect that it has something to do with these marks on his shoulder." 

Zelda and Link looked closely, he was bitten, but not by an animal the marks were by humans. And he wasn't just bitten a bit, parts of his skin were completely ripped off. Link being his creative self instantly thought of Zombies of course which everyone knows do not exist. 

To get a better picture, they watched some camera footage of the motel. And when you looked at it, there was actually a guy there, that looked like he wasn't thinking and he hunted the victim down until the cameras lost track of him. 

They zoomed in on the guy and he 100% looked like a Zombie. 

After a while f watching more footage, the "Zombie" was on camera again. This time crossing a street. A car drive straight up to him almost crashing into him and he didn't even flinch. 

The team was shocked and Zelda talked first.

"He didn't even care that6 he was almost killed by a car! No one with a working mind behaves like this, reflexes always kick in."

Link interviewed.

"I mean, maybe he doesn't have a mind anymore." 

No one could deny Link, something very strange was happening.

Zelda and went to the place where the "Zombie" was almost killed. They tried to follow his tracks and after some time Link spotted something that looked very similar to the Zombie they saw. 

When they tried to go after him, they soon got lost and ended up in the middle of a street, in the dark at night. It all got worse when suddendlöy huge groups of Zombies circled them leaving them no chance to escape. When they were too close for Zelda's liking her instincts kicked in and she screamed.

"HCPD stay back!"

And all the Zombies stopped. And one of them takes their masks off. Masks this aren't real Zombies of course, but why are so many fake Zombies running around here?

Zelda still pointed her gun towards one of them Link did the same.

One "Zombie" finally spoke up.

"Hey take it easy we are just Zombie walking here."

Link and Zelda looked at each other. What is Zombie Walking?

"We are just playing catch. We are Zombies and we chase the normies." The guy pointed towards some normal-looking people. When we catch them they turn into Zombies too."

Zelda was annoyed and told all of them to get into the precinct for them to answer questions.

Link on the other hand was amazed by the outfits and the makeup that made them all looks so real.

When they took all of the Zombies to the precinct they asked them about the Zombie of the camera footage but none of was the Zombie in the video. But some recognized him and told them where he lived. 

So they went there and what they found was a dead body. The body of the "Zombie" so they took him with them and wanted to look if he took any kinds of Drugs. Just as they wanted to cut him open the Zombie suddenly woke up and started running. They were sure he was dead but he really just got up and ran away. 

Luckily he didn't get far and when they talked to him they figured out that he did take drugs but someone forced him to take them, and when he did he was forced to kill their victim. SO they found the killer and the "ZOmbie" showed them the person that forced him. Unfortunately the "killer Zombie" doesn't remember anything so he was taken to the hospital to make sure that he is alright.

Case closed.

Link wanted to now tell Zelda that he wouldn't come back, but first, they visited the "killer Zombie" in hospital. And before Link could tell her he had another question for her. 

"Do you really believe that he can't remember?" 

"You think he remembers?"

Link wanted to make sure she now gets why he was behaving so "weird"

"When a life-altering moment occurs. People remember."

This was an obvious hint for Zelda as well.

So he knows that I remember, she suddenly feels so guilty and bad for lying to him all the time. But she can't admit it now she's too deep in her lie.

"Well, maybe it's too big to deal with. Maybe he can't face it just yet."

Link also got Zelda's hint that she is also talking about herself.

"Do you think he ever will be?"

"Hopefully, if he feels safe."

After this Zelda quickly started walking again, but before she could get away Link stopped her.

"This is nonsense, Zelda! Talk to me Zelda, please."

She looks defeated and tries to get herself to talk right now.

"You remember the wall I talked about? I'm almost where I want to be now. Soon I will be the person I want to be again."

Link was more than relieved to hear this. This is all he waited for. So this wouldn't be his last case.

"I'd like to be there when this happens."

"Yeah, I'd like you to be there too."

They smiled at each other for a short while before Link decided that he had to leave.

"So see you tomorrow?"

Zelda smiled even wider.

"See you tomorrow."

I finished this Story already and I am working on a new one. The next one should be better quality xD.
