Los Angeles

The day after Link and Zelda solved the case, well mainly Link, they decided to go out and see some of LA especially since Zelda has never been there before. 

They didn't have a real plan for what to do but they would come up with something in the car.

"I want to see Venice Beach."

"Oh yeah, sure we will go there. I think, since I been here quite often I might just show you around a little bit. Show you some of the more beautiful places, not many people know."

"Sounds good."

"By the way."

Zelda looked at Link interested in what he has to say now usually, these drives were quiet since both enjoyed the music and the scenery.

"I know what you owe me. Well not really owe me but something you need to allow me."

"Ehm, okay I guess."

"I want you to allow me to call you Zel or Zellie when I feel like it. I want you to allow me to give you these two nicknames."

Zelda chuckled.

"Hm of course." 

She tried to hide her blush and wanted to act like she isn't super excited. Her heart was running wild just like her thoughts.

Why ask this as a favor. He could have just asked for going out on dinner or ask me to prepare the files on a done case, something that gives him an advantage that actually helps him. This is too much right now, I just need to focus on this vacation I have.

She tried to relax and it somewhat worked but she was never fully able to calm down. 

Because they weren't any school holidays currently and it was still early not many people were at Venice Beach. They walked around and talked a little bit about some things they saw until they walked towards the Basketball courts.

"Oh, I love Basketball." 

Link looked at Zelda, confused by her statement.

"Wait you do? I didn't know that."

"Of course I do, I played a lot before-" 

She stopped trying not to think about her family right now.

"We should play, we are dressed alright to play."

They were both wearing something relaxed, Zelda wore leggings and a shirt, and Link wore sweatpants and also a Shirt.

They saw that there were two other guys, pretty tall and very skilled at what they were doing.

"Maybe we can play 2 vs 2 against these two right there."

"Oh yeah sure."

They walked up to them and asked if they wanted to play against them.

The two guys laughed.

"Sure we wanted to play alone but a warm-up game against a tiny man and a girl should be good."

The two friends instantly knew that these two guys did not respect them, they were smaller and Zelda was a girl still, they were confident in each other. 

"Let's go then." 

They played for some time, because of the opponents being much taller Link and Zelda had some problems but in the end, they were able to get the win, with their elite athleticism and the way they knew what the other person was doing without talking.

"Good run guys, maybe warm up before you take on a tiny man and a girl."

With that sentence Link and Zelda left both smiling upon their success.

"Where to next Link?"

"You'll see." 

They went back to the car and drove towards the walk of fame, the drive there was horrible it was full of cars and it was getting more and more full because it was not later in the day. But they did it after some time they did it and walked over the walk of fame, it wasn't anything very crazy but it was great for Zelda to all the things she saw in movies. She was so focused on the scenery that she didn't even realize Link was gone for a short time.

He came back and saw Zelda didn't even realize it. So he walked up to her and acted as nothing happened.

He bought her a special gift but he planned on giving it to her later on.

It was now later in the evening and they decided to eat something.

"Oh I know a good place it's mostly empty and they have great food, also the people there know me."

"Lead the way then."

They walked into a smaller street and into a shop that wasn't even visible from the actual street. As they walked in the whole restaurant went silent.

"Was? begrüßt man so einen alten Freund? Na komm ihr kennt mich doch."

Link exclaimed in a language Zelda never even heard before. She was confused as to what language he was speaking and why.

"Link ist wieder da!" 

One of the people exclaimed and suddenly everyone cheered. Zelda was now even more confused as people walked up and hugged Link tightly. It was only confusion until a girl around their age walked up to him hugged him and whispered something into Link's ear, she got jealous. She didn't know why but she was. 

"Oh I'm sorry Zelda, these are some of my family and my friends they are from Germany but they lived here for a long time now."

So they spoke german Zelda thought.

"Alle mal her hören, das hier ist Zelda, sie kommt wie ich aus Hyrule City und wir sind hier weil wir hier einen Fall hatten, da der jetzt aber gelöst ist haben wir beide Urlaub."

Everyone greeted her and walked up to her, hugging her. To her surprise, these people were very friendly and treated her like they knew her forever.

The two sat down at a table and Zelda started to look around while Link talked to some of the people, here again, speaking german.

She saw that it looked a lot like some pictures of Germany that she saw. It was all wooden and she saw big beer glasses everywhere. She ran her eyes across the room further until she looked to the left of the table towards the wall and saw a couple of pictures with a familiar face on them.

It was Link, as a small boy but still Link. He looks kinda like he does today just smaller. The haircut was the same, and he also had those gorgeous eyes. Only one big difference was there, he didn't have these scars on his arms.

She never knew where it was from she just assumed it was from work, he was a cop after all. 

She kept looking at the pictures finding more and more pictures of Link and his family, she was close to one photo where Link looked a lot different she wanted to take a closer look but she wasn't able to because Link quickly grabbed it and placed it next to where he was sitting Link.

"Come on Link let me see, this one seemed so interesting."

She put on her puppy eyes trying to convince him.

"No, I really don't want you to see that."

Link looked away trying to hide his blush.

"Let's just order something to eat." 

Zelda wanted, no needed to see whatever Link was hiding. He waved over the girl that Zelda already spotted earlier on. She came over and said something in German again, Link answered something that seemed to be the food, he said something like.

"2 mal schnitzel mit pommes bitte."

The girls answered something Zelda again didn't understand.

"Okay, ich habe dich so vermisst Link, ich dachte du kommst vielleicht nie wieder vorallem nachdem was passiert ist."

"Ich verstehe was du meinst aber ich bin wieder gekommen oder? Ich bin jetzt wieder hier."

The girl leaned forward kissed Link on the cheek and left. 

Zelda was extremely jealous.

Is she his girlfriend? He didn't seem to really mind it, even though he did slightly turn red. Argh, I don't want this to happen to me, I can't tell him what I am feeling when I am not sure if he has a girlfriend that would ruin everything.

When they got their food both enjoyed it and again talked to each other until Zelda brought up the picture Link was still hiding.

"Will you show me the picture now. Please whatever it is I won't laugh or whatever you think I will do."

"I don't know if I should give this to you. It is, to be honest, a big secret of mine, and showing this picture to you will ruin the secret. Only the people in this room know about this secret."

"I promise not to tell anyone. Seriously."

"Hm, okay I'll show you, but don't laugh or anything just look at it and let me explain."

Zelda nodded eager, to see the picture. Link pulled the picture to the table and Zelda had to really hold back her laugh.

Link was shown with long black hair looking like a complete emo boy, he even had black nails and everything. She doesn't have anything against people like this but seeing Link like this was still amusing to her.

"And here you are trying to hold back your laugh, I knew I shouldn't have shown you."

Link obviously regretted doing this, he regretted it even more when the girl stomped over to the table now speaking English, Zelda was caught off guard, she didn't know she could even speak English but then again maybe she just told Link things she didn't want Zelda to understand.

"Did you seriously just showed her this picture?" 

She was mad it was obvious to anyone.

"Yes, why not?"

"This was a secret kept by all of us and you just brought in a random girl and showed it to her revealing a secret to a stranger."

"She's not a stranger and I didn't reveal it, I showed it to someone I trust with my life. We have to have this trust we work together as cops I would die for her if needed."

These words again let Zelda's heart flutter, she knew he didn't mean it romanticly, at least she thought that, but something nice was still on it.

"I really can't believe you!" 

"Why are you so upset Medli?"

"How do you not know that? You boys really are all the same. All idiots."

Zelda was furious at her word towards Link.

"Don't talk to him like that." She tried to keep her calm.

"Now you are the one to talk. You keep out of this."

"No, I'm not going to sit here and listen to you talk like this to Link."

"Well you have to, so you know what kind of person he is. He probably never even told you who I am!"

"He didn't but he has no reason to." Zelda now also raised her voice a little bit.

"It's okay Zelda, please stop."

"No Link it's not. Not for me."

"You slut need to shut up and get your life in check."

It was Link's turn to get mad, and oh you don't want to see Link mad. He was capable of beating almost anyone in a fight when he is completely calm but with adrenaline and anger on his mind, he looked scary. Due to his anger, his muscles were all flexed and every little muscle was visible, he didn't even think about hurting Medli, but he was angry at her.

The whole room went quiet as someone else came in. Someone that didn't look very friendly.

So basically, all people here are Hylian I'm sorry for not being creative enough to come up with a whole new city. Just imagine all people Hylian and out of coincidence the city there is also called Los Angeles.
