Chapter 5
Your burns, burn others too
"Sir Meliodas we need to get you both to a doctor!" The princess had her arm around you both on either side of her as Diane lifted the three of you up and inside the Boar Hat.
"We're fine Elizabeth" Meliodas assured, slinging your arm over his shoulder as you helped each other up the stairs, Elizabeth followed closely to ensure neither of you fell backwards. The large fabric around your body had been pulled tighter so it wouldn't slip as you stumbled up towards the Captain's room.
"Yeah just a quick heal and we'll be good as new" you wiggle your fingers in the air as you look over at the Silverette, she looks awfully concerned.
You frown as you enter Meliodas' room, you could see female clothes folded neatly on the right bedside table. You looked to him with a raised eyebrow and he shrugged with a childish grin.
As you both collapsed onto the bed, neither decided to move from the position you'd landed in. Your (H/l) hair was splayed out over one of the pillows, while Meliodas lay on the other. You both were facing each other, his hand gripping the fabric around your wrist, his other hand, like yours, resting awkwardly at your sides. Both of your legs were in a mess together, one of his legs resting between your longer ones, you were taller than him after all. But just shorter than Elizabeth.
After a bit of effort, you wiggled your hand out from under the fabric and placed it onto his chest, you closed your eyes in exhaustion as your palm and his chest began to glow. He let go of the fabric and closed his eyes as well, lying there in comfortable silence as the minutes whirled by.
However, neither of you were strong enough to stay conscious, and with your healing ability nearly disabled after the vicious electricity, you both fell asleep.
When Elizabeth came in later to check on you later on, she was horrified to see you both passed out, your hand limp next to Meliodas' still chest. She yelled to Diane and the giant tore the window off to reach her large arm in and lift you both from the bed, the fabric slipping off you as Diane quickly covers you both.
One of Meliodas' eyes came open at the sudden movement and his face resembled the colour of a bright beetroot as he saw you beside him, only in your underclothes. In the relative dark atmosphere between the giant's hands, he peeled off his long white shirt, though torn in the shoulder, and helped you into it. He rested your foreheads together, hearing Diane crying as she ran towards a town.
"Somebody help please! I need to find a doctor!"
Diane spotted as a man with speckled glasses poked his head out from his second story bedroom, "I'm a doctor, how can I help you?" He didn't seem particularly fazed at the sight of the giant, although many of the other townspeople were hysterical as they ran for the cover of their townhouses.
The giant peeked into her palms to see you clothes and sighed with relief, "please my friends are badly hurt" she straightened her fingers to reveal both of you, sleeping deeply.
The doctor nodded, "I'll see what I can do".
As you slept you regained consciousness only long enough to be fed a strange liquid, it tasted bitter as it ran down your throat. Your mouth want to cough up the bile that was slowing your healing even further as you registered that Meliodas had been given the same drink.
"To be honest with you, it's a miracle their both alive" The doctor took a clipboard off his nurse to study it. "Especially the girl, she has burns like she's been struck by lightning, they're in her throat as well which is strange".
Elizabeth clutched her hand to a fist on her chest, "Thank you for helping them Dr. Dana"
You feel Meliodas' warm hand take yours and your hand begins to glow under the covers, healing him faster than yourself.
"Meliodas?" You moved your (h/l) hair back over your shoulder as you leant on the Boar Hat's bar.
The captain was sitting on one of the barstools, his hands tied behind his back and an empty wooden tray in his teeth. He set it down on the bar and smiled cheekily at you, "Yes, angel?"
"Why do you still have your hands tied behind your back?" you frown, "I told you I trusted you"
"Because I promised I wouldn't hurt you" he raised an eyebrow at your unhappy look, "I always keep my promises".
Your mind cast back to a few weeks ago, you and Meliodas had just reunited after being separated for 5 years. In that short time your breasts and butt had gotten a bit bigger (you now looked 16), and the pervert Captain couldn't help but jump to grope your chest the second he laid eyes on you alone in the little village.
In the two thousand years you had known him, he had never once done this to you. This of course took you by such a surprise you cried and struck him in the chest with your hand, knocking him through a village wall. When he regained his feet, he comforted you from a metre away and swore on his life he would die before he hurt you like that again.
As you looked at him now, you couldn't believe the lengths he was going to just for you. From that day he had bound his hands behind his back with rope and continued on like nothing had changed. You still laughed and joked together, but you were the one to hug him and ruffle his hair, he let you choose the affections.
He even continued to run his bar like this. In less than a few days he had taught himself to carry one full tray on his head and another in his teeth. This sight made you giggle every time you saw it, which only made the both of you even happier together.
You offered to help waitress but he decided that it would be better for you to fill up the drinks for him, since he hadn't perfected that trick yet. He had tried and accidently bust one of the ale barrels apart with his foot.
"You ok (Y/n)?"
You shook your head as you were snapped out of your thoughts, you smiled at him, tapping your fingers, "how long will you keep your hands tied?"
"Until you're comfortable around me again"
"But, I am comfortable around you"
"Then... when you ask me to"
You could hear voices, distant voices and strange sounds like bugs. Bugs? Although you tried you couldn't open your eyes, the poison had a strong effect as you lay motionless in the bed beside the Captain.
His hand squeezed yours tighter as the bed shifted, he had sat up, "Even if I die" the blonde boy said dryly, "I will never let go of this sword". You hand dropped back into the sheets as he let go and his weight lifted from the bed, "It's the only way I can atone for my sins".
"It can't be! How can he move after drinking that deadly poison?! He should be as dead as that other girl!"
"She's not dead" came Meliodas' voice, one of your eyes managed to peel open just slightly. You caught sight of his dark eyes and the mark on his forehead.
"Don't lose control" you whispered, hoping he would hear it.
There was a sudden smash of glass and you heard quick footsteps heading to the window to look out, "He's gone!"
"S-Sir Meliodas is that you?"
"Yo! Elizabeth! And you swine".
"Thank goodness it's you!"
The sin of wrath's head turned, scanning the room as his eyes had returned to their shimmery green. Your eyes closed as he looked to you, "Yo (Y/n), you still feeling bad?" You smile weakly in your sleepy state and he lifts you up in his arms, his shirt a little tight on your body. "Well, we better go pick up Ban so he can heal you up huh?" He chuckles and nuzzles your cheek with his small nose.
"No! Sir Meliodas your still injured!"
The sin turns his head to look at his bare shoulder, now just a large scar on his skin, "Looks fine to me, I told you it was nothing" he winks at Elizabeth.
The princess blushes, "We'll we're in Dalmally which isn't far from the prison, Diane has gone there now". She hands him another set of his shirts, which he puts on.
The captain nods, "Right, and who was that guy just then?"
Hawk snorts, "Some low life Holy Knight named Golgius".
You all made your way downstairs and out onto the street, you lying on Hawk's large plump back as he trotted outside, not having to complain since you were so light.
Meliodas spotted the Holy Knight walking away from the building, "There he is" he lounged his broken sword lazily over his shoulder as he stuck his other hand in his pocket.
"Oops you found me" the armoured Knight spun around and raised his arms quickly, "I surrender!"
"What?" Elizabeth said, obviously confused.
You managed to lift your arms and cross them under your head, humming peacefully as your healing abilities were finally kicking in again, instantly stamping out any lasting traces of poison.
"I'm cowardly by nature, and there's no way I'm going to go head on against the Captain of the Seven Deadly Sins" the knight said, his voice becoming metallic and hollow through the helmet.
Meliodas slashed two objects that were hurtling to his head with less than a second of warning. Two raiser boomerangs dug half into the stone behind his feet.
The Holy Knight twitched uncomfortably, "so you spotted those two concealed weapons when I lifted my hands up".
"I can spot a flash of panties a mile away, don't underestimate my vision"
"Sir Meliodas is that true?"
"Nope"
Hawk protests at the inappropriate comment from the sin of wrath, the boy shrugs it off. You rub your eye and yawn, the moon-shaped cuts in your palm from your nails healed over, leaving no scars.
Meliodas scratched the back of his neck with the blunt side of his broken sword, as Dr Dana rounded the corner "Sir Golgius! I did what was asked of me! Now return my daughter!"
Elizabeth gasped, "He's gone!"
"Again!?" Mist puffed from the pig's nose. You sat up and stretched, the white shirt lifting up past your black panties before it fell back down again as you slumped. Meliodas locked his jaw as he realised it had fallen open.
"Golguis! Give her back!" The doctor was frantic.
"Fine" came a voice from the air, "I will return her to you... in the afterlife".
Meliodas waved his arm as a warning, yelling up to the doc "Hey! Get away from there!"
The Holy Knight materialised behind the man in white and a sword tore right through the doctor's chest, he coughed up blood and collapsed. "I can't have the good name of the Holy Knights being tainted by stories of us ordering the poisoning of a young girl and boy" Golguis said.
The Princess screamed and ran towards the fallen body, "Dr Dana!"
"Just leave him Elizabeth!"
"We can't hide in this run down shack forever" the pig snorted.
You sat up against one of the old wooden walls, your knees curled up under your chin as Meliodas skimmed his finger over your palm to check it. In an effort to check the burns in your throat, the captain pushed your bottom lip down with his thumb to look inside your mouth, "you haven't fully healed yet".
"Hey are you ignoring me!?" Hawk steamed.
You closed your mouth, concealing the dark burns on your tongue and muscle, and smile, "Let's just get Ban, I can rest later".
Meliodas stood back up again and crossed over to the door, making several quick motions with his sword.
"What are you doing Sir Meliodas?"
"Casting a spell"
"You don't even know any magic!" Hawk complained again, his ears flaring up and his snout turning red. "At least close the door!"
"A closed door means nothing when it comes to teleportation, he could just materialise right here in the middle of the room".
"Sorry, but I'm right behind you".
Your ears pricked up and you looked to see the Knight over Meliodas' short shoulder, the sin of wrath looks back "Sorry, but your right below us". Just then the wooden floor under the Holy Knight's feet cracked and the boards gave way, the heavy knight falling heavily down several stories to the ground floor.
"I can't believe that spell worked!"
You laughed lightly at the princess's comment, but it turned into a cough. Meliodas took one look back at you and jumped down to the ground floor.
As he hit the ground, the Holy Knight shrieked in fear as he saw the blonde land in front of him, "Your power is invisibility isn't it?" The terrified helmeted man found himself nodding. Meliodas scratched his chin, "I found it odd that there was a time delay between your disappearances, that's how I knew you would have to walk through the door of the room".
"So that's why you cut the floor so I would fall down here" Golgius said croakily.
"Exactly" the sin smirked, "and since we're down here... I don't have to worry about (Y/n)".Under the helmet, Golgius turned white as a sheet.
As you all crossed the bridge out of town towards Baste Prison, you let your wings out to stretch while you walked up on the bridge's stone wall.
"Sate sate sate" Meliodas tutted as he wedged his sword back into his newly fixed sheath that Elizabeth had sown back together after it had been cut in half by Gilthunder's sword in their fight. "The prison sure looks far away from here".
You fly up to look over the forest towards the strange beehive shaped prison, holding your hand above your eyes to block the bright sunlight. You coughed again, your throat and insides still healing. Meliodas glanced up at you as you landed again, a fist against your lips.
"We'll get you to Ban"
You nod, "Ok".
Just beat my record on chapter word length!
