I rested my head on the table at lunch. I didn't sleep last night and that was not a good idea. Someone started throwing bits of food in my hair. I looked up only to be jabbed in my eye by a bit of French fry.

Josh was throwing the food. "What was so important that you had to interrupt my beauty sleep?" I asked him while rubbing the eye the French fry hit.

"You need a lot more beauty sleep then." Orxe said. "That guy Isaac is coming over." Josh said in hushed tones. I looked around and saw Isaac coming over to us with a huge smile on his face. Edward glanced as if asking if he could make room for Isaac. I nodded and Edward moved over.

"Hello Honey, Nathan. I believe I haven't got the chance to meet the rest of you yet but I'm sure before long I'll get to know you all." He said as he sat down. "What do you want?" I asked unable the hide hate in my voice.

"Nothing much. I was just wondering where Adam is today. I had something to discuss with him." Jay spoke up before I could lie and say that he was sick.

"His sister is in town and he took the day off from school. I wish she came here. She's awesome. She has buzzed blonde hair and a tattoo on her shoulder of a lion. It's a shame that she's married. If she wasn't I wouldn't be single."

I stared at him. Jack laughed. "Don't let Adam catch you saying that about her. He'll hang you by your toe nails."

Isaac was still smiling. "What's her name?" "She won't tell us. She goes by Black." "Okay. Well that's all I needed. Thanks tell Adam l said hi." Jamie smiled broadly at him. "We will. It was nice to meet you." She laughed acting not Jamie at all. "I don't believe I caught your name." Isaac reached out a hand. "Isaac. Yours?" "Jamie." When he was gone I turned to them.

"How do you do that?" "It was clear you weren't going to help much. And telling him Anna was out of the bead would sound like we were crazy. So I made up my dream girlfriend and told him that." Jay answered.

"Your dream girlfriend is married?" I asked. "No I just told him that." Jamie whacked him on the back of his head. "Why did you tell me to flirt with him?" "WHAT?!" Jack and Jake yelled at Jay making everyone look at us. He held up his hands. "If they start dating then she has a chance of learning something about Normals."

"Everyone is looking at us." This was Edward stating the obvious. "Duh." Abby said not looking up from today's mystery meat. We shut up because everyone really was looking at us.

I had to go to Ike's office again because me because I pushed a kid who was standing in front of my locker. He was refusing to move so I pushed him away. Of course the teacher who saw us took his side. So here I am being lectured by Ike Newton.

"Your not making it much better for yourself  you know. I really suspend you because you ran out of here again last week. And you went with out punishment for punching that  boy two months ago. You would like being suspend because then you could spend all of your time with Anna."

After that he seemed to be arguing with him self. I trusted that what ever he decided would not mess up my mood when I saw Anna again. I guess Ike had stopped arguing with himself because he said "You have to stay after school." "Fine." Then I left.

Ike took me home after he called Edward to pick up Aaron. "Can I get my own car?" I asked on the way home. "Haha your funny." "Why not? I could take Anna to school and dates. I could go shopping for you, pick up Aaron. I could do a lot of stuff with a car that would help everyone."

"That's a great idea. If you weren't in danger with being around Anna." "Why would I be in danger around Anna?" "Because now the local Normals are hunting Peculiars." "What are Peculiars? And what does that have to do with Anna?" He pulled into the dirt road.

"Warriors. Odds who fight Normals. Anna was the youngest female Peculiar ever. The youngest Peculiar ever was 7. He's 57 now and he went missing along with the young Peculiars he was training. Peculiars would may turn Quiere. Odds who know how to fight to get the bead kids back. Your in danger by knowing her."

"Sandy is Anna trainer. She wants Anna back to get the kidnapped Peculiars.  You'll barely see Annabeth. It's for the better." I didn't say a thing. I was slightly afraid that I would start yelling at him.

So we quietly drive back to the house.
