Today was the day. The trap was set. The excuse, Kira. You were going to die today, in front of everyone. You were scared, terrified in fact. But you were going to save L, even if it was the last thing you did.

So there you sat in the middle of the HQ floor working on some papers. And the time finally came for you act like it was Kiras control and pull the trigger. You took a deep breath and stood up, gaining the attention of the taskforce.

"What's up Ayano?" Matsuda asked.

"I have something to do..." you said.

"Need any help? Ayano?"

You walked over to the draw and pulled out a gun. You slowly bought it up to your head.

"AYANO!" Misa screamed.

Everyone jumped up and rushed over to you. But without hesitation, you pulled the trigger, and the whole world went black. You saw everything flash before you eyes as you felt numb.

"I'm L"

"I'm (y/n)"

"You're so cute!"

"You too!"

"I'm so happy for you!"

"I can't believe I'm leaving"

"Sparking angel, I believe..."

"I missed you so much!"

"I missed you too!"

"I'm Misa"

"Nice to meet you"

"Lawlipop"

"Sweetheart"

"Light is Kira"

"I'm a shinigami"

"I love you"

"I love you too..."

You fell to the ground and saw L rush over, tears in his eyes as he bought you into his arms.

"(Y/N)!"

You said your last words as breath escaped you for the last time as a human.

"I love you..."

"(Y/N)! (Y/N) NO!"

Everyone starred in shock. You laid lifeless in L's arms as he was bawling his eyes out. This was the first time anyone had heard your name, seen L cry and witnessed a suicide. Light rushed over and tried to gab you.

"GET AWAY FROM HER!" L screamed.

Light took a step back.

"THIS IS YOUR FAULT! THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT! YOU SON OF A BITCH!"

"L... I swear I didn't kill her! IM NOT KIRA!"

"THEN EXPLAIN THIS PERFECTLY HAPPY AND HEALTHY GIRL IS DEAD!"

Light didn't say anything, he knew this was a bad time to argue.

"(Y/N)! WAKE UP PLEASE! JOKES OVER ITS NOT FUNNY! PLEASE! Please..."

L collapsed onto your lifeless corpse and cried and cried until he felt sick, despite knowing you'd be back eventually.

"I let this happen.." he sobbed.

Misa was in tears, so was Matsuda. Everyone was just shocked. For once Misa showed a softer side than her usual energetic state. She knew you'd be back but she still felt the pain of her best friend dying. She walked over and collapsed next to you.

"(Y/n)..." she sobbed.

She leaned over to L and put a hand on his shoulder.

"She'll always love you..." she said.

"(Y/n)... why?" He sobbed.

"Everyone please go home to your families, we'll take care of this" Watari said.

In no time at all everyone was gone except for L and Misa since she lived here now.

"She actually did it..." L said.

"She did it to save you, she'll be back, don't worry..." Misa said.

L kept looking down at your body.

"Why do you want to help me? I know you're the second Kira Misa... just tell me why..."

"I can't let you die, it would mean I will have lost my only friend in Japan... this whole situation stings but I know she'll be ok, she's coming back soon... but if you die, she'll know it was my fault and leave me alone. I want to keep Light, but I don't want to lose her..."

L kept staring at your dead body, with a blank look as tears kept falling.

"I know how you feel. Losing a loved one hurts..."

L suddenly began to shake and heavy sobs shook his body.

"I let her do this, because I just didn't want to be alone again..."
