SYNOPSIS:

Get ready for edge-of-your-seat thrills and nail-biting frights in England Queen and The Island of Dolls. In an alternate version of the present in which mutants make up five percent of the world's population, a strange island suddenly appears in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, and all that set foot on it meet bizarre and gruesome ends. Fashionista and occult specialist England Queen is sent to the cursed island to find out what's causing the deaths, why the island appeared, and how to put an end to the whole place before things get out of hand. She is aided by four fellow mutants: her pierced and goth brother France King, the sharpshooting Miss Jackson, the strict and skilled swordswoman Jinsokuna "Jinso" Ken, and the shape-shifting cat Ghost Eye. Unfortunately, England and her team aren't the only ones interested in the Island of Dolls, and ruined clothes seem inevitable when their quest takes a dangerous turn. But these five have been in plenty of near death situations before, and for them, surviving is as easy as breathing--they can defeat giant spiders, find underground cities and evade booby traps with ease. But love and humanity don't come so naturally for them, and if they don't learn to make their demons dance with each other, surviving might not be so easy this time around.

Title: 4/5 - It's a weird title. Definitely original and unique so points for that. 

Cover: 4/5 - Seeing as it is an adventure book, I really think the cover works well. I like how everything is a muted shade of blue. Reminds me of ice to be honest with you. I love the placement of the text as it isn't obscuring the image. 

Synopsis: 5/5 - I really like this synopsis. You tell us the names of the main characters and a little about who they are. Then, without spoiling the story, give us some juicy information about what the story is about. I think I spotted maybe one or two misplaced commas but it was no big deal. This was written so well that I would, without a shadow of doubt, click on this book and expect awesomeness.

Plot: 5/5 - I am loving the plot so far. A bunch of mutants sent to check out the creepy new island and destroy it. Omg there is a part where you say 'the dolls screamed occult' and I read it as 'the dolls screamed' and I literally had a mini heart attack. That would have scared the crap out of me. Annabelle, anyone? 

Ooo the ending was one hell of a cliffhanger. I HATE spiders so the fact that you ended the chapter with the huger arachnid jumping at England has my skin crawling like there is no tomorrow. This is perfect because now I just have to read on and find out what happens to England and the spider. 

Characters: 4/5 - I like how, even though you have introduced so many characters here, they are still fully developed. The names are definitely original. England Queen and France King. I like how you describe hoe each of the characters are different in a way that it isn't telling which makes it interesting to read. I can sort of see the relationship between the siblings and I like it. It's really cute. Aww, I thought France ripping off her parachute was the sweetest thing ever. 

I feel like maybe you could add a little more emotion to England when she sees the building full of creepy dolls. Not speech-wise but in terms of her thoughts. I think that would definitely add more to her character as you are basically telling us she loves all things occult without actually letting us see her in action.

Another thing, (I may have read it wrong so by all means, correct me,) but what exactly is England's special feature so to speak. You've explained the others by I personally don't feel her being an occult enthusiast is enough for her to be put on the mission. 

SPG: 5/5 - This was actually pretty good. However I do think that you may have a few commas in the wrong way and some run on sentences. That's not a big problem as a good proof read (out loud) may help you realize where the sentences sound a tad weird. 

OVERALL: This was a very good start to your story. I like the characters which is a good thing as I want to move on to the next chapter to see what happens to them. In terms of improving, I think your main focus should be adding a little more to England. Either way, I thoroughly enjoyed the chapter.
