Prologue
The room fell silent as the messenger came. All were awaiting to hear the news which arrived in the small scroll of paper brought from the places they weren't allowed to enter.
However, these news were not good at all. The king and queen of the light angels were at the verge of death caused by some unknown decease that nobody could cure.
"What are we going to do?" Came a cry from the crowd. "The royal family had no heirs. If the king and queen die, our kingdom will be easily defeatable and the Cardians might return!"
"Don't worry." A strong female voice came from the behind. It was the highest countess from the light angels, Meg Giry. "I have been searching for our long lost princess for quite the time and I think that I know where she is."
"You believe in all of those fairytales, Meg?" Another countess asked.
"They are not fairytales!" Meg controlled her anger. "I knew the princess long before you were even born in this world. From when she disappeared, I was under the influence of the light crystal, so I look like I didn't age at all. It was during the early ages of our kingdom. I and our princess were close friends and I considered her to be my sister. Then, the evil attacked us and it destroyed everything. Our princess was so brave that she defended our kingdom, but sacrificed her life in the battle. The protection of our light crystal however insured her a happy new life on an another planet. There, she now lives a happy life, forever protected, not remembering her past. The evil I talked about before you might now know under the name Cardians. I have inspected a few planets before and I found the planet Earth. That must be where our princess is."
Meg pulled out one of the mind projecting spheres that she owned and tapped it's side with her left index finger. A projection of the dark blue planet showed before the crowd's eyes.
"This is the planet Earth. It is inhabited by humans, who are similar to us. However, they don't know how to use magic and they don't have wings." Meg talked about the humans as projections of humans showed in the sphere.
"I will try my best to find our long lost princess in that world. I will return her back to our world no matter what." With those words, Meg switched off her projection sphere and went away from the crowded hall.
The ribbons tied to Meg's neck waved behind her as she went along the wall with many stained glass windows. She stopped her pace at one that was at the end of the hallway. It pictured a girl with brown hair in a long white dress and with white wings. Meg lightly touched the edge of the window and whispered. "Don't worry, I will find you."
She then ran to the secret room where she began her search. "Good morning, Countess!" greeted her the two female workers who took care of the little room. "Hi girls! What's new?" Meg asked, supporting her head on her fist as she leaned down to one of the tables.
"We have both good and bad news. Which one do you want to hear first?"
"Please girls, I don't like when you go on me like this." Meg lifted her gaze to look at the two girls in white uniforms.
"Well, the good news is that we have shrinked the radius in which our princess might be by 50%." The shorter of them announced, handing Meg the plans.
"Okay, and what is the bad news?" Meg asked as she turned over the pages.
"We have only one sap left." The taller girl announced, pointing to a bank that was way back in the room. "If he loses his mission, we can go to hell, because there are no more chances."
Meg looked away from her papers. "We will have to send him out now. The king and queen have gotten worse and we have no time to wait."
"Countess, will you send him out by yourself?" Asked the shorter girl as Meg came closer to the bank.
"I will." Meg said in a cold tone, which equaled the temperature of the room. "Could you leave me alone for a minute?" Meg asked as she turned to face her two loyal workers.
"Yes." the girls mumbled as they exited the room.
Meg faced the bank covered in frost. With her gloved hand, she wiped the small ice crystals away to reveal the one person on whom was the entire future and he didn't know about it.
"I know you can hear me." Meg spoke to the masked man frozen behind the specially modified glass wall, but in case, pulled our a tiny recording sphere and swiped across it with her left thumb. "Your mission is to find our princess. That is why you were frozen in this room for so long. We waited until it was the right time for you to go onto your mission. And now, your time has come. I will send you to Earth. That is where our princess was reborn after the war. You need to find her and bring her back here, into our kingdom. You mustn't lose. If you will, our entire world is doomed. Be careful and bring her back. Please." After that, Meg stopped the recording. She cast a small spell on the bank and it absorbed the sphere.
Meg pushed the button and the bank was released towards Earth.
"I wish you luck."
