Chapter 2- Arrival of O.G.
(Erik's POV)
After some chit-chat with Nadir, when mostly Nadir talked, he told me there is a room that is supposedly mine and there, I can have a little peace. Nadir just gave me the keys and bid me goodnight, because it was 1 am.
I went up the stairs and into the top floor corridor, where I found the door to my new room. I put in the key that Nadir gave me and I opened the door, not knowing what to expect.
Inside, the room had black walls with a repetitive small white teardrop design. In the middle of the room was a grand bed made out of dark wood and it was covered in black and red sheets. On my left stood a desk with a pile of papers on it and on my right stood a beautiful black piano. I smiled at the sight. My old friend knew very well that music was my life and that I always wanted a piano just as this one.
I ran my fingered along the ivory keys and lightly tapped them, creating a melody. The music soon pulled me in and I couldn't resist.
After a few more minutes I realized that I should go to sleep. I came to the wardrobe, which was also made out of dark wood and opened it to see what clothes Nadir put here. To my relief, I found myself some white shirts, a black suit, a cape and some other black articles of clothing.
I found myself a black robe and I settled into bed, into another yet dreamless sleep.

I woke up when the sun was trying to peek into my room from behind the curtains and birds were already chirping outside. I stretched myself and put on some new clothes.
I went downstairs, only to find Nadir sitting in a chair in the kitchen, drinking a mug of coffee.
"Good morning." I greeted him from the stairs. He looked my way and he folded up the newspapers he was reading.
"I see, my friend, that even after they threw you down here from that far away, you are not leaving that black cape, are you?" Nadir asked referencing to the article of black lined with white, almost cream, on the bottom, which hung down to the ground from my shoulders and trailed a bit behind me.
"I think that you should go, not that I don't like you here, but I just think you should start your mission." Nadir said and he handed me the map that he showed me last evening. "When you come to the opera house, go find a street called Rue Scribe. There, you have to find a small window with black bars on the level of the ground. Here is a key and you will use that to open the door. When you come inside, you should come into a small room. From there, go deeper and deeper until you get to a lake. A boat should be there for you and from there, you will just sail to your new home." Nadir explained everything I needed to know and we parted at the door.
I quickly came to the big city, hiding my masked face from the Parisians with a hood. I quickly found the Opera House and the tiny Rue Scribe. I unlocked the window with the key I got from Nadir and slid inside. The room had a few candles lit inside, so it was a bit dim.
I let the hood fall down, revealing my face to the place I would soon call home. I continued to follow Nadir's instructions and continued down. With each step I grew fonder of the underground place.
It took me a while until I got to this new home of mine and I have to say, it was acceptable. The whole cave was draped with black and there was a black piano on the side, just as at Nadir's house. I immediately noticed the amazing organ in the middle of the cave and I was so happy. Besides a piano, I always dreamed of an organ and this one was perfect.
Upon closer exploration, I found a smaller side room, in which there was, what I presume garbage, but to me, those things were beautiful. I found a ton of golden candle holders, a few boxes of candles, papers, bottles of ink...everything I needed.
A few hours after that, the lair was lit up with hundreds of candles, not a single grain of dust on anything. I was quite tired, so I sat down on one of the chairs in my new home and closed my eyes.
I wander what adventure waits for me here...
