Ash's POV
"Hey Ashy-boy!" Gary yells as he runs behind me. "Hey what's up Gary" I saw rolling my eyes at the nickname he has called me by since we were in kindergarten. "Listen. You are coming with me tonight" He tells me and I look at him. "Where to exactly?" I ask with a raised eyebrow. "Me, you, and Ian are going to spy on the girls at their sleepover."
"Yeah about that Gary, I'm out. Hailey needs help with homework." Ian says coming out of nowhere. "Yep, homework." Gary says rolling his eyes and making air quotes earning a punch in the arm. "What else do you think? She wouldn't lie Gary." Ian says with an eye roll walking off. I sigh. "Wasn't Hailey going?"
"She was but she cancelled. Now are you gonna bail on me?" Gary asks and I frown. "I wouldn't dream of it" I say patting his shoulder. I had just gotten myself into something I don't even know if I'd be able to get out. I had to come up with some excuse or I would have to go with him. I had no intention of going.
"Alright see you at eight." Gary says with a smirk and he walks down the road just as Dawn, May, and Hailey walk out of the school. I go to Silverstone High School in Vaniville town. It's one of the best schools in this town. Luckily all of my friends started going here from the school I went to before.
Gary can be slightly perverted at times, mind you less then rare. but other then that he's a good friend. Dawn is kind and adventurous while May has a rebellious side but is still a good friend. Hailey is the opposite being shy and not so adventurous. Ian is less shy then Hailey but still there yet he's outgoing at times. Most of the time.
I wave to the girls as I walk down the sidewalk. They all wave back as they sit on a bench and start talking. After a few seconds I look back and I see Hailey with completely red face. Those two girls teased her so often and yet I don't know what about. It had to be something.
As I walk thunder roars and I start running. With thunder, soon came rain and I did not want to be soaking wet today. It didn't usually rain or even storm here. But the few times that it does it can get pretty bad. I put my phone quickly in my pocket just in case it started before I got home.
As I run I think this might be the best excuse I have. I can't make it there because my mom told no because of the rain. That was genius! He can't get angry at that excuse. I feel a little raindrop hit my hand. I sigh realizing that it was too late to get home at this point.
And of course, after a few more seconds rain starts to come down. I hope that at least everyone else had gotten home or to where they were going. I take off down the sidewalk again using my jacket to cover my head. As I ran it started raining more and more.
Oh thank heaven that the buses were cancelled today for some stupid reason. I don't even remember why. It is honestly stupid that all of them had been cancelled today. When has that ever happened? I've never heard of that happening before, or maybe it has and I'm just delusional.
As I run I look left before I'm going across the street. On the sidewalk across the street I saw what looked like a person just laying there. "What is that person doing.." I say quietly as I run across the street. I get closer to the person and I realize it's a girl and he hair is matted against her head from the rain and she was laying on her side curled up.
I kneel down next to her and I turn her on her back and she doesn't even move. "Well that's not good.." I whisper moving hair off her face. Her face was surprisingly calm and it honestly just looks like she's sleeping but she would've responded by now if she was.
She was wearing a black tank top with a white collar and a red skirt. She had black shoes with a pink circle on the outside of each shoe. She had such an innocent look on her face. "Who would've left you on the street like this?" I ask with a sigh.
My house was right down the street. My mom is a nurse so she'd know how to handle this. An ambulance might take too long to arrive plus laying in the rain is a horrible plan. I pick her up bridal style and I put my jacket over her to protect her from the rain and I run home as quickly as possible.
When I get home I open the door. "Hey Ash welcome back!" My mom says turning the corner. Her smile immediately disappears when she sees the girl in my arms. "Oh my god what happened?!" She shouts running over to me. "I don't know I just found her in the sidewalk." I tell her frantically.
"Put her on the bed in the guest bedroom go quickly." My mom says pushing me off. I nod and I quickly walk upstairs, almost falling once or twice. I rush to the bedroom next to mine and set her down on the bed. I sigh and I take my jacket off her and she takes a deeper breath.

I've been sitting by the girls bed since I brought her here. My mom treated her and she was in normal condition. Nothing was wrong luckily. At least we had hoped so. I was falling asleep but I hear movement which jolts me awake. I look to her and I see her eyes open looking directly at me. She looked scared and she started cowering.
"Hey hey calm down it's alright."I say quietly and I sit next to her on the bed. She opens her mouth to say something but nothing comes out. She covers her mouth and her eyes widen as her eyes flood with tears. She shakes her head rapidly and tries to push me away. I can see her entire body starting to shake.
