The next week was spent enjoying as much as they could, bunking school, trying new sports, or sneaking out at night to go to famous concerts. 

Ayla experienced all the things that she never thought would be possible with her 'good-girl persona', and as every day passed it was becoming more difficult for her to ignore the butterflies in her stomach whenever Enzo held her hand, or the blush that coated her cheeks whenever Enzo call her by different nicknames.

The sun rays hit Ayla's face making her scrunch her eyes and waking up in the process, she sat on her bed while stretching as she heard the ding of the notification on her phone.

She takes it from the nightstand and opens it the first thing that greets her is a photo of her and Enzo standing by the river laughing which Daniel has secretly captured and sent them. 

An involuntary smile came to her face after seeing that photo, she shook her head and looked at the message that had popped on the screen from Enzo.

Meet me at the park at 2:00 PM 

Her brows furrowed in confusion, while her gaze darted toward today's date her eyes widening in the process ...

It had been a whole month now after she had asked him out, and she could feel the anxiousness creeping in, the uncomfortable clenching of her heart, and the lump forming in her throat.

She takes a shaky breath recollecting her thoughts "Why am I feeling this way? I should be celebrating. 

The whole day went in a daze, and she found herself standing in the very same park from where it had started where the dare was given, and it looked like the end would also be here.

Her gaze wandered taking in the black gum and Japanese maple trees with fiery red leaves clinging to their branches soft wind was blowing causing those leaves to fall from the trees.

Her gaze darted toward a barren tree where Enzo was standing leaning on it and just the sight of him made her blush. 

She starts approaching him her mind wandering. 

Why is her heartbeat rocketing?

Why just the thought of not being able to talk with him is making her heart clench?

Since when she started caring about him.......

And all her questions led her only to one answer - She had fallen for him.

Like the leaves that fall from the trees-she has no control over falling for someone even after knowing in the back of her mind that she will be heartbroken, she has fallen helplessly for him.

As her thoughts came to an end, her walk also came to an end and she was standing in front of him her eyes downcast and fists clenched, her heart was thumping loudly.

"Hey" Enzo said, and she could feel how dull his voice sounded.

"H-Hi" Ayla said her eyes darting toward his face.

"I wanted to tell you something" Ayla spoke taking a deep breath before Enzo could say something.

"I like you, like seriously like you, when I asked you out for this month the only thing that was on my mind was to end these weeks as fast as they could...but I tried, I tried to ignore it b-but it is just now too much obvious, at first I don't give a damn about what you do or not.." she says as she takes his hand in hers looking at them.

"But now the way you talk, the way you laugh everything is engraved in my heart, the flutter in my stomach or the heat in my cheeks ...I realized it, I like you a lot " she said her cheeks coated red and her heartbeat fast.

"But see my luck I realized it late, too late, haven't I?" she added with a bitter chuckle feeling the moistening of her eyes.

"I-I just needed to tell y-you, before you break t-this, I rea-" she stuttered controlling her emotions, but she was cut off as she felt his one arm holding her by the waist and pulling her toward him, their faces were close, his lips tantalizing close to hers.

'' Don't even say it, I know it might sound weird from my mouth but-" he said gazing into her eyes that were filled with sincerity. 

"-I like you, Ayla, even though I know I'm not the perfect guy you might have been hoping for. But, as long as you're with me, I'll do my best to make you happy. I will work on myself to be capable of you, I want you to tell my deepest secrets......I Like you too a lot" he said, his voice just above a whisper.

A cold breeze swept from the area, and Ayla quickly wrapped her arms around him, pulling him into a warm, tight embrace. The feeling of warmth radiating from her body was a stark contrast to the coldness of the air just moments ago.

"I'm giving you, my heart. Please don't break it." her voice was soft and slow as if she was afraid of what Enzo's response would be. He felt her body tense up, and he tightened the hug, afraid she'd leave him "Never" he mumbled.

One month passed... 

Ayla was standing leaning on the tree as she watched Enzo arguing with Daniel and Nico on some childish topics, a smile grazing her lips.

Every day, Enzo strives to improve himself and become a better version of himself. Ayla can feel the sincerity and dedication behind his efforts, and it's one of the reasons why their relationship is so special. Their relationship truly feels like a slice of heaven on earth.
