17. In secret

"JIHYEEEEE!" Her brother's annoying voice was echoing inside of the house and even through the headphones she had on. She rolled her eyes ad tried to ignore it, but Sehun didn't know phrase 'giving up'.

"Sis! Come down!" he kept on pestering her, not bothering to climb the stairs and tell her what he wants himself. Instead he was shouting like a crazy idiot from downstairs, probably only for the sake of annoying the hell out of her.

"Jun is here as well, come down, before we leave," Sehun yelled one more time, this time, she straightened on her comfortable spot on the floor, leaning on the side of her bed. She almost forgot, he will be picking up Sehun, before they both take off to drive all the way to Seoul.

Before she knew it, she was already standing on her feet, reaching for the knob of her door. She hesitated for a second, but only because her heart still didn't get used to the fact... she and Jun...

She grinned, her cheeks lifting painfully, she never could stop the idiotic smile spreading over her lips, whenever she remembered, Jun was hers. It's been only few days since they came back from the Beach house. The school started again and usually meant coming back to the reality. She should have fallen on the hard ground from that cloud nine she was floating at, majority of the time they spent in the beach house.

It was surreal.

She was walking down the stairs, mentally preparing to see Junmyeon again. Not that she didn't see him yesterday or the day before... and the day before the day before yesterday.... Yes, you get the point. She usually sees him on daily basis, but since they kind of clarified their feeling for each other, the time they spent in each other's company was much more different.

It was exciting, thrilling and new. Her whole body tingled, whenever they were together, and they didn't have to talk, or look at each other, when they were with everyone else. Yes, they didn't have much of only Jihye and Jun time, when they were still at the Beach house. But it didn't matter, because she was living, whenever she caught him staring at her, or the other way around. Or when he touched her by accident, tracing over her skin with his thumb, only for few seconds. Or when they sat next to each other, when they all were settled in front of the tv one night.

She didn't remember a single scene from the movie they were watching and that all thanks to Junmyeon, and his distracting hands. He wanted to hold her so badly, but she kept pushing him away, mainly because Sehun was sitting on the other side and he would see it, well only in case he was totally not engrossed with the film's storyline.

Jun gave up on wanting to hold her hand and instead he casually stretched his arms in the air at one point, then let one arm, closer to her, land on the edge of the sofa behind her. Practically hugging her. His fingers were stroking her shoulder and she was melting. By the end of the film she turned into jelly.

It turned out that Junmyeon was very affectioned. She never had an idea, he has this side to him, it was startling her. The idea of her, getting used to his constant presence around him, was crushed when she learned that about him. He never hesitated to reach out for her, when there was a chance. He made sure he didn't miss even the tiniest one, taking her breath away.

It seemed like he loved to see her all flustered.

She finally reached the kitchen, finding two men standing there, in all their glory.

Meaning, they were dressed into perfectly fitted suits, with ties and all those fancy things, that made men in suits look exceptionally irresistible. Sehun had his dark grey suit with white shirt, fixing his hair in the reflection of the microwave.

But the moment she almost choked on her own spit was when she dared to look at her brother's best friend. She held her breath, staring at the guy in navy blue suit and spotless white shirt. He was just mending cufflinks on his shirt, lazily lifting his gaze, looking her straight in the eyes, with slight pout on his lips.

Oh yes, she felt that, deep inside her stomach...

Is he shooting commercial or what?

She had to try hard to collect her hormones, crazily dashing towards her object of interest.

"Why did you call me down?" she complained very weakly, her knees shaking as she walked closer to the god and her good for nothing brother.

"You need to tell us, if we look presentable enough," he explained, straightening his back and beaming at her with thousand watt smile.

"Decent," she mumbled, her mind was full of other words, which she did not have courage to spout out and not run out of the room, embarrassed as hell.

"Only decent?" Sehun exclaimed, taking her word seriously, going back to microwave and checking if every strand of his hair is still in its designed place.

"What else we can do, for you to tell us, we look like future University students?" Junmyeon casually unbuttoned his blazer, leaning with his hip on the side of the island kitchen counter, while sticking his hands into the pockets of his pants. She was once again at loss of words, being only able to gape at him.

When did he change from mere crush to coaxing sex god on two legs? Her hazed mind wondered, knowing how ridiculous she sounded even if just in her head.

"Good luck with your interviews guys, you look dashing," she blurted out and then turned around to go back to her room and possibly never come out.

She let out relieved breath, after she disappeared inside her bedroom.

But she didn't get the time to relax, because she heard swift knock on the door, before it opened, and the person slipped inside, closing behind him. She gawked at Junmyeon still in his suit in front of her.

"What are you doing here, you have to go, you will be late...," she started to lecture him, but she ran out of words, when he crossed the little distance between them. Woah....

"Sehun needed to use a bathroom, before we go... number two, so we have good ten minutes," he murmured quietly, his voice velvety soft.

"Jumyeon... you really don't let one chance to slip through do you?" she was blushing furiously when she said that, she was out of breath, because he was too close, but it didn't seem to be enough for him, as he leaned closer.

She shook her head.

"Oh come on, I need at least a kiss for a good luck," he coaxed skilfully. He was so good at this.

"Sehun is on the other side of the corridor, no way. I gave you one yesterday, if I remember it right," she whispered back at him, diverting her eyes away, because the coffee colour of his irises was too distracting. He chuckled.

"That's the thing, my memory is poor. Care to refresh it?" he teased her.

She frowned at him and sighed.

"You are a mean woman," he complained, the pout of his lower lip more prominent. How could she miss out on the fact, how dangerous was this boy, after knowing him most her life? "Alright, then do me a favour?" it looked like he got another idea, how to get what he wants.

"What?" she gave him suspicious look.

"Fix my tie?" he grinned at her. Her eyes slid down on his perfectly tied tie and glanced back into his face. His hand promptly appeared on the knot, making it undone. She gasped for the air. "See? I need your help," the smug smile on his face was making her heart do all sort of stuff that she didn't agreed on.

"I know you most of my life, but I never had an idea, you are this sly," she was taken back by his neediness, but she would lie, if she said she didn't like how much Junmyeon tried.

She stepped closer to him, being aware of the crazy organ in her chest doing its thing.

"Believe it or not, but I didn't know that about myself either," he let out as she placed her hands on his shoulders, her fingers sliding under the collar of his shirt, lifting it up to measure the length of both ending bits of tie correctly.

She felt his eyes on her, never diverting his gaze away, watching her face intensely. It was hard to focus on her task, while he was setting her on fire with only his dark look. As long as she is not going to look directly into his face, she will be safe...

She let her fingers do all the job. She knew how to tie the perfect knot on the necktie, she had done it for her brother and for her dad multiple times. But this was the first time she was doing it for someone, who makes her mind go all fuzzy, whenever she is too close to him.

It was for first time she is doing it for her boyfriend.

She would laugh at that thought, if she was not preoccupied by her attempts to keep calm. There was no use though, the veins on her temples were pumping wildly, her cheeks filled with rosy colour and her breathing irregular as ever.

"There really is something about, girl tying guys tie," Junmyeon's hoarse voice only added oil to the fire. She couldn't keep her engrossed façade and looked up at his face.

His arms locked around her waist at the same second, pulling her towards him that their faces were only few inches away from each other. The breath hitched in her throat, while her hands were still on his tie. The warmness of his body was mixing with her own and she suddenly didn't know how to breath or live at this point.

Wait a second...

"Makes me wonder how many of those girls did that for you," she furrowed, pushing into his chest to release herself from his hold. He widened eyes at her and then started to laugh, but she was not amused. She knew he was popular with girls, she almost forgot she most definitely is not the first girl on his list of trophies.

"Looks like we are finding out thing about each other. Jihye gets jealous, noted," he stopped laughing, when he realised she was glaring at him. He made a move way too fast for her to react and get away from his compelling touch. He grabbed her hand, making her come to his arms again, this time making sure she is not going to wiggle her way out.

"Only my mom did my tie, like before I came here to pick up Sehun. But I always liked the way dad looked at my mom, when she did it for him. I always wanted to know how it feels. You made my dream come true, Ji," he smiled at her softly, his facial features becoming serious, filled with sincerity.

Her insides melted over his words, her instant anger disappearing, only fuzziness was left. She bit her cheeks to stop the stupid smile forming on her lips, but she had no damned will.

"That's better," he praised her, while watching her battle the urge to smile like a fool.

"You need to stop teasing me," she scolded him gently.

"Never. Not while I get these adorable reactions from you," he refused, pouting his lower lip as always.

"You need to go, you will be late, let me finish fixing your tie," she tried to distract him and her self at the same time.

But Jun let out low grumble, not letting her continue doing what she was before, instead he simply lowered his face to hers and traced his lips over hers. Her body reacted automatically, leaning into his embrace. This time she didn't let him pull away and pressed her lips on his. She felt his mouth forming into approving smirk.

She came to realise, when it came to Junmyeon and his affectionate acts, she had no control, nor will to resist. She would always respond to him. She would, even if she was mad at him. It was still scaring her, but the fact he made her forget everything bad that was happening to her, all the dark thoughts attacking her mind, was comforting.

"Jihye! Have you seen Jun?" Sehun's voice pierced through her mind. Jun seemed to stay unbothered, his kiss becoming more passionate.

Sehun started to knock on the door and they pulled away, panting for the air.

"Yes!" she tried to speak up, but her voice decided to not work again. Junmyeon's eyes were still close, leaning with his forehead on hers, trying to calm down the sensation inside of him, just she was.

"I'm fixing Jun's tie, Sehun... wait a second," her voice sounded too high. Jun chuckled, when he heard that. She shushed him and quickly began to finish her task. Sehun barged in second after. She was only happy, Sehun learned long time ago, that he is not allowed to walk into her room without knocking first.

She didn't dare to look at her brother, when leaned on the doorframe.

"We will be late," he informed Jun.

"I am not the one, taking extra-long dump," Junmyeon sounded perfectly composed, like they didn't just have a hot make out. Only his eyes stayed chocolaty brown, as the only proof of what was on his mind.

"Hey! You know my stomach gets weak, when I'm nervous," Sehun defended himself.

Both of them left five minutes later.

Even after being this happy with Jun, didn't persuade her about the fact, this is real. She always lived on the verge of her subconsciousness and fully awake self. It took her some effort to really wake up and she really was scared sometimes, that this is just a dream. Sweet dream, that one of a kind she has only once every blue moon.

She spent her whole day doing her editorial stuff... that was the only thing that could take her mind off stuff she was anxious to think about. No one was at him whole day and Sehun would be coming back late at night. Bora went for a family outing with her parents and Baekhyun said he has important things to do, which meant he had level to cross in one of his stupid video games. He was able to ditch everyone and stay at home, just to play all day long. But everyone had some kind of guilty pleasure that other people fully don't understand.

She was expecting Jun to text her throughout the day, he always did, but she was left to herself until the time for bedtime.

Since they came back from their trip, Junmyeon never missed an evening without calling her. She quickly got used to fall asleep, while he was talking to her. It didn't even matter what he was saying, as long as his voice was sounding in her head, she easily fell asleep.

She was waiting until the midnight. She knew she is being stupid, waiting as he was probably still driving. She was nervous, she wanted to know, he and Sehun came back home safely.

She laid down in her bed, with phone under her pillow and stared into the darkness in her room.

It was half twelve, when her phone vibrated.

She jolted to setting position, squinting on the bright screen of her phone. She let out sigh of relieve, when she saw a text from Junmyeon.

Are you asleep?

Of course not, you idiot! She wanted to scream. She quickly typed, responding to his message.

I will sleep over tonight. Sehun went to bed.

Her heart picked up on speed, reading he will be staying over here. She didn't bother to think twice or reply to him any further and got up from her bed, already being on her way out of the room. She checked Sehun's room, seeing that he left his door open again, his corpse laying on his bed unmoving.

She smiled as she walked past his room and then continued downstairs. She went straight to the living room. Junmyeon was already resting in laying down position, using her blanket as a duvet. They take it now in turns. The blanket is full of his own scent as well as full of hers. And that made her weak heart excited more than it was healthy for her.

It seemed like Jun had fallen asleep, which was ridiculous, because he texted her only minute ago. She slowly tiptoed towards the sofa he was on, bending down to look closely into his serene features. She stretched her arm towards him, intending to poke his cheek, but he was faster.

He swiftly grabbed her wrist, pulling her down and as she lost her balance she ended up crushing onto his chest. She let out muffled squeal, while he was giggling like a crazy person.

"Junmyeon!" she punched his chest and he howled silently, his face way too close for her to remain mad at him.

"Did you just call me by my entire name? Am I in trouble?" he smirked at her, killing her attempts to get up from resting on his body.

"You didn't let me know all day...," she was not going to be that kind of girl, sulking because she didn't get that amount of attention from him that she was hoping for.

"How is it, you get cuter every time I see you?" he wondered out loud.

"Don't sweet talk me," she scolded him, but her annoying heart was melting over his word anyways.

"It works though, you are blushing," he mumbled, gently pinching her cheeks with his fingers.

"I always blush, when I am with you," she also didn't plan to admit that to him, but there was no reason to keep that to herself, when she knew she will fluster him and that doesn't happen very often.

"Don't use your charm on me...," he warned her, his lips pouting slightly, the amused sparks gone from his sight. Instead there was a fire, that made her insides twist in weird sensation.

"If you can, then I can," she stood her ground stubbornly. His hands suddenly slipped from her cheeks into her hair, fingers tangling in the messy strands, bringing her face towards his. She held her breath, not even realising she dug her fingers into the t-shirt on is chest.

"If you can, then I can do so much more, Ji," he breathed out, taking he ability to talk away. She always forgets, they are not small kids anymore, there is more than just a crush between them. The only person who knows how to play this game is Junmyeon and all she could do is to let him do whatever he pleases.

But then the ringing of the landline phone interrupted this dangerous moment. It saved them in a way, but then...

She jumped up on her feet like a bolt, rushing towards the phone, forgetting that is too late for anyone to call right now. She picked up the earpiece and brought it to her ear.

"Oh's residence, who is calling?" she automatically asked.

There was no way, her parents would be calling, they never call the landline.

It was no one. The no one, who never said a word to her. All she heard was loud breathing on the other side, which made chill run down her spine. She started to tremble terribly.

She also forgot, Jun was present and could see and hear, what she is dealing with.

"Who is it?" she asked quietly. She tried everything. She yelled at the person before, she begged them to tell her who is, she asked them to stop calling. "Why are you calling?" she asked more.

Person's breath hitched, almost like they wanted to say something, but they couldn't.

"Just tell me! Or stop calling!" her voice was now shaking as well, threatening the lump in her throat get lose and let all the tears pour out of her eyes.

That was when Junmyeon got up and appeared next to her, taking the phone away from her. She looked at him with surprise, his face was serious as he returned her gaze.

"I don't who you are, or what do you want, but I will call the police, if you call again," he spoke resolutely into the speaker of the phone and then put it down. "He hung up," he said with husky voice. She remained quiet, she. recalled the moment he saw her talking with that person few weeks ago and she sent him to hell back then.

"I know I said I won't be forcing you to tell me anything. But this concerns your safety...," Jun stayed quiet for a long minute, thinking about what to say, to tell her that eventually.

Her heart froze. How can she tell him something, which she never spoke about with anyone?

"It's nothing, probably a prank calls...," she tried, but Jun's eyes didn't soften this time in plan to let this go.

"How long is this going on?" he didn't bother to scold her for trying to brush it off and pushed at her. She was about to lie, but she couldn't, not while he was staring at her like this.

"For about two years," she admitted, dating her eyes on the floor.

"I presume, no one, your parents, Sehun... knows about this," he wanted to know, all she could do is to shake her head in agreement. She heard him curse under his breath, which was so unlike him.

"Nothing happened to me, since the calls started, it's no big deal," she really wanted to assure him. She always forgets about the calls, because it is nothing, compare to her other problems.

"It can be a big deal. We have no idea, who it is or what he wants!" the volume of his soft voice raised, and she couldn't bare to listen to him, scolding her. She turned around, wanting to run away and hide, like she always does.

But he knew her somehow, predicting her next steps, before she even thought about them.

"You let me be by your side, Jihye. Don't run away from me now," his voice slipped to the soft velvety tone again, while his arms embraced her, no allowing her to flee.

"I don't want you to be pulled into my dark world, when yours is perfectly fine and calm. You don't deserve it," she could not believe she is telling him something, that was weighting her mind, even after she allowed herself to be happy with him standing next to her.

He turned her around, after he listened to one of her many reason she was hesitant to give into him.

"You don't deserve to be alone, Jihye... I want to pull you out of your dark world, so help me a little," the urgency in his eyes was crushing her. She wanted to rely on him, so damn much...

"Step by step, remember?" he reminded her. He didn't let her speak and hugged her tightly.

Will she ever stop being this torn? Reasons she didn't bother anyone else with this, was to rid them of unnecessary drama. How could she agree to let Jun meddle with that?

Won't she regret it?

~~~
I promised drama, but I couldn't resist to put some more of the fun stuff there, although I'm not the comedy, funny author, I cant stay serious for too long... or more like I don't wanna see you all suffer, because we are almost there...
We are kinda in the middle of the whole story right now, which can easily tell you about the amount of things that are still about to come your way hah
Brace yourself :]
Also next chapter is going to be from Jun's POV :]
People expressed their continuing interest in BOHUN haha, I cant help and laugh, cuz first of all they were not supposed to happen whatsover, plus when I decided they will happen, I used them as the second cliche couple - aka - love/hate relationship aside of our mains, which are still tiny bit cliche let be honest, but not entirely = cuz there is tons of those all around us, but people seems to always love the obvious hah, I can relate, if I could tell you all about those stories I read, half of them would have this perfect example of two main characters hating their guts :D
awyways just wanted to share this!
see ya later
love ya
