"Rhodey you have to bring it back." I said into the phone

"It's out of my hands now."

"Don't do this don't make me into the bitch. It's till trademarked property of Stark Industries lets not make this into a legal issue."

"We're the government G we can bypass that."

"I know you're mad at him."

"Aren't you?"

"I'm pissed but-"

"But nothing for the past few months Tony has done nothing but spit in our faces every time we put ourselves out there to help him. He crossed a line there no going back now."

"Your right but that's Tony. Yes we have let him get away with too much but don't you think we owe him some kind of loyalty?"

"Loyalty is earned." He said and I didn't have an argument he was right Tony was obviously sprawling and we were letting him

"I hear you I do, but Justin Hammer?" I asked and he chuckled

"D.O.D. brought him back in. look stop stressing yourself about this, I'm mad at him but you know I wont let this go too far." He said as my office door opened and Tony walked in carrying a vase of flowers I rolled my eyes

"Speak of the devil. I'll see you at the expo tomorrow then?" I asked him he confirmed then we hung up and I looked at Tony who sat the flowers on my desk then sat down

"Hammer's presentation is tomorrow?" He asked and I just stared at him

"I'm busy do you need something?" I asked

"We need to talk."

"Unless you're here to apologize, I don't want to hear it."

"I am but I think that goes without saying. You know I've been thinking a lot lately especially about life and how it's so short. I realized that-"

"You're rambling, and you're also lying. You know one of the things I do best it read liars very well, with everything I've been through it's a gift. You have been lying to me for the past three months, acting erratically more so than normal, creating this shit show. That once upon a time I could clean up in my sleep but you amped up everything by becoming Iron Man!"

"Iron Man wasn't supposed to happen remember? But once again your ego couldn't let it go and you brought this into the world. You did that and now you're running from it, leaving me to clean up the mess. It doesn't work like that Tony and if you actually cared you would leave me hanging like this."

"G I know and I'm sorry you don't understand-"

"Then explain it to me! what don't I understand? I can tell when your lying but cracking your secrets... God it would be easier to rob the federal reserve!" I said shaking my head then my eyes landed on the flowers

"Did you really bring me Gerber daisies?" I asked raising an eyebrow and he eyes went wide

"You're allergic to daisies I knew that." He said putting them on the floor

"It's literally the one and only plant I'm allergic to."

"Yeah I knew there was a correlation." He said and I rolled my eyes

"You know you told me you'd never make me feel as bad as Happy did."

"Gianna I would never hurt you the way he did."

"The physical abuse was never the worst part. It was the way he made me feel like I wasn't there, or that I was less than." I said softly I saw the guilt on his face just as there was a knock at the door

"Come in." I said blinking back tears Natalie walked in followed by Happy

"Wheels up in 30 minutes." Natalie said and I nodded

"You're leaving for New York tonight?"

"Yeah I have a meeting with the architects about the New York tower and then I'm going to spend tomorrow at the expo." I said signing the papers Natalie handed me

"So Natalie how are blending in here at Stark Industries?" He asked and I gave him a look then I looked at her she had a neutral look on her face

"Your name is Natalie isn't it?" He asked

"I thought you two didn't like each other." He said pointing between us

"No it turns out once again the problem was just you." I said standing up and grabbed my purse I walked past Tony then I stopped and turned then I leaned down and kissed his cheek

"The love I have for you is unconditional you need to learn how to accept it or this won't work."

"Hey, Kay it's me again. I just wanted to see how you're doing call me back," I said then hung up
Kayla still wasn't talking to me, and with Jax locked up I really didn't have anyone to talk to. I talked to Tara earlier she and Abel are doing fine, we talked a little about his 1st birthday that was quickly approaching. I told her I would be there and if she needed help I would take care of it. We chatted for a while then we hung up. After we hung up there was a knock at my hotel door. I opened it to see Happy and Rhodey

"What are you two up too?" I asked

"I come in peace and offering to pay for dinner what do you say?" Rhodey said making me laugh

"As long as I can pick the place." I said with a smile they came at the right time reminding me I wasn't all alone.

Tony

"Hey dumb-e how did you miss this entire mess over here?" I pointed to the area as I sat at the computer. I spent last night stabilizing the element I discovered, it was now in my reactor and the palladium was leaving my body. I had another chance and I was going to make it count, especially with my girl, now that I had everything figured out I would tell her the truth. Of course she was going to be pissed but I wanted this to work and we needed a clean slate.

"Incoming call with a blocked number sir," J.A.R.V.I.S announced and I looked at the computer

"Coulson how's the land of enchantment?" I asked he had been sent off this morning to New Mexico

"Hey Tony." A deep voice with a Russian accent came through the phone

"How you doing? I double cycle"

"You what?"

"You told me double cycle has more power, good advice." He said and that when I realized who it want Ivan Vanko

"You sound very good for a dead guy."

"You too." He laughed, as I got J.A.R.V.I.S to start tracing it as he kept talking

"The time has come now after 40 years of what your father did to my mine. I will do to you in 40 minutes." He said

"Sounds good let's get together. "I told him

"Sir he's in Manhattan tri-state area."

"I hope your ready," He said then hung up

"Trace incomplete." He told and I looked at the map, the expo.

I grabbed the new reactor and put it in

"Sir."

"I don't want to hear it J.A.R.V.I.S! assemble the suit!

I rolled my eyes as Justin Hammer danced onto the stage, as if the whole presentation wasn't based on a stolen suit. I glanced at Natalie who was sitting next to me, and made a mental note to start looking for a new assistant.

"Ladies and gentlemen for far too long our brave men and women have placed themselves in harms way to defend our country. Then came along the Iron Man, and we thought the days of losing lives was over. Then sadly that technology was kept out of our reach. That's not fair. That's not right." He said and I rolled my eyes again

"Oh my God." I said shaking my head

"But now I present to you the Hammer drone!" He announced and the crowd began clapping
