Chapter 2

Tyler’s POV

I shrugged and Jack followed me home. When we got there, we were greeted by my dog sprinkles. “Hey boy, how’s my little sprinkles.” I asked as I bent down and scratched his head.

“Are you for real? Why the hell would you name this poor dog Sprinkles?” right on cue the dog walked over to jack and smelled around him before he decided to mark him as his territory. He raised his hind leg and well sprayed Jacks leg with his pee. “What the hell” I started to laugh as tears were streaming down my face.

“And that there my new friend, is how he got his name. You now belong to my dog. He considers you his property.” I wasn’t sure how Jack would react. Most people get pissed off. Then again Sprinkles doesn’t really claim a lot of people. He tolerates them but that’s about it.

“Dude, I belong to someone now. Super cool, come on my furry 4 legged friend, you can go with us to see what young Tyler here has to show us boys.” I smiled happy he took it the right way. I took him to where I had my bow and arrow. It was my own special little idea. Dad always had to get close to people in order to make them go into a deep sleep.

But we always had to worry about getting found out. So I created a way for me to launch our sleeping dust. I will now be able to be far away when I do it. Therefore now, I don’t have to worry about getting to close and getting caught. I smiled just thinking about it. 

We reached my practice room and I turned to Jack. “Say hello to my little friend.” I say smiling at him. I knew he would get the reference I just used. Sure enough he started to laugh. So I went about showing him how I would lunch my sleeping dust and to my horror he stepped right into the second shot I fired. I bent down and lifted him up. “Well Sprinkles, seems you will have a little company while I go check out earth.

I laughed as he got into bed with Jack.

I then made my way down to earth. There I went to the park to check out all that was happening. I stopped and looked around as I closed my eyes. For some reason, I felt a calm settle over me. I took a deep breath enjoying all the smells around me. It was a clean scent full of life and promise.

I looked at all the colors on the trees. It was a very magical looking place. I could have sworn the last time I came everything was green. But I so love this new look much better. Yes it did feel so warm.

Fallons POV

I was trying to reach the last leaf on top of a great Oak tree. It was just so out of my grasp that I decided to hop on and climb to the top. I looked around as I was so high. I loved the colors all the trees had taken. Mother will be so proud of me. I took a deep breath and inhaled a delicious scent. A scent that reminded me of warm linens and comfort. I felt a tickle in my tummy as the air below me shimmered and I saw the most gorgeous man appear.

He was not of this realm, of that I was sure. But who was he then? I looked on as he removed his clothing and just stood there is running shorts. Hmm, it’s chilly out here. Granted we can’t feel the cold. But he needs to blend in better. He might risk getting caught by the humans otherwise.  Yeah like that was my first thought as I looked at his sexy body? But eventually I did think that.

I followed him as he ran, keeping my distance. Something told me he might be my mate. But I wanted to see what he was about first. He had a good running form and I loved the way his muscles rippled as he ran. I sighed, I hope he is all I ever wanted. But I was scared of making a fool in front of him.

He ran for what seemed like hours. Then he finally arrived at an abandoned home where he went in changed into clothes. He then just fell asleep on the floor.  I looked at him from outside not wanting to get to close. But I looked at my watch. It was only 2 in the afternoon. Why was he sleeping at this time? Unsure of what to think I decided to head back home and see what I could find out about him.

I shimmered home “MOM!” I yelled but there was no answer. I walked around looking for her but she was nowhere to be found.  After searching a couple of rooms Winter snuck up behind me. “What  do you want with mom?”

I glared at her still mad about her making things cold on earth. But I really needed mom so I caved in. “I need to ask her something important. Where is she?”

“I knew it, you messed up already.” I stuck my tongue out at her and she grabbed it. I tried to tell her to let go. But it was only coming out as mmahahhajdjshaffa. Yah lame I know, for her to do that to me. Then she looked me in the eyes. “I will let you go if you tell me what’s up.”

I nodded “I found my mate.”  Then she screamed and hugged me lifting me off my feet
