Forty-two
Paige's Story
Less than nine hours after their arrival in Auckland, Paige stood at one of the nearest entrances. Attacking the Main Rebellion Headquarters was risky but after hours of research, Minho confirmed that the Rebellion had imprisoned Harrison in there. It was their only way.
Changbin was her partner, chosen by none other than Lee Minho, who just wanted to get the lovebirds to confess to each other already.
It wasn't that Paige or Changbin worried that the other wouldn't like them back. At this point that much was perfectly clear. However, they were worried about the aftermath. What would happen if they actually said 'eff it' and dated anyway?
"Entrance ten is free," Lincoln's voice rang through their earpieces. Their entrance. "Are you ready to go in?"
"Of course," Paige responded, glancing back at Changbin who was beginning to panick.
"Good. It seems like it will be free for a while. You can go in anytime between now and five minutes. I'll alert you if we need to change the plans. Entrance two, are you ready?"
Paige turned to her partner and sighed, quickly switching her earpiece off then heading to him and doing the same for him.
He glanced up to meet her reassuring smile.
"We'll be alright," she intertwined her fingers with his. "Don't stress. I'll look after you."
"What if things don't go as planned? What if one of us die?"
"That won't happen." She kissed his cheek. "I won't let it. Now, are you ready?"
He nodded, switching his earpiece back on and giving her time to do the same.
"Should we go now?"

Entrance ten lead straight to the Rebellion's weaponry room which was convenient for them as they were given the opportunity to stock up. Lincoln had hacked into the camera systems and made it seem as though nothing was actually happening.
He also cut off ties with Kyla and Cassidy, and constantly watched Chan, Woojin and I.N.
When Changbin and Paige left the weaponry room, the first thing they heard was a loud gun shot coming from the main lobby.
"Should we go see what it is?" Changbin asked.
"Let's get to a higher level first. It's easier that way."
Paige knew her stuff so he didn't even bother questioning it. They quickly, but quietly, made their way to the second level and gazed around them. Rebellion workers were all at the railings, glancing down at the scene below. There was a large circular hole in the middle of the building, allowing anyone to easily look down at the first floor. This made their task of attacking from high ground a lot simpler.
A few more gunshots rang and the chaos only heightened. People on the second floor scrambled to the elevator to either get in on the action or run away but Paige and Changbin were already prepared. Paige had stocked up on pistols and hand knives since they were what she was best at.
Killing a bunch of unarmed Rebellion workers was a piece of cake, even Changbin who wasn't as specialised in field of guns had no problem.
When security guards and agents began to attack was when things weren't as easy.
Paige passed him her pistol.
"Continue shooting at them, I'll sort the agents out."
Although panicked, Changbin obliged.
"Stay safe," he told her earning a reassuring smile as she pulled out her hand knives.
"I will."
And with that, she shot off.
The second level was still full of people trying to escape so sneaking up on the agents swiftly without their knowledge made her job simple. She would throw the knives from afar or slight their throats quickly if they got too close to just throw the knives at.
Within fifteen minutes, the second floor was filled with corpses of the Rebellion members, chaos long gone.
Changbin ran up to Paige.
"Are you alright?" He searched her eyes for an answer.
She only chuckled and ruffled her hair.
"I'm fine." She looked down at her black leather suit and realised why Changbin had asked. It was blanketed with patches of blood. "It's not mine."
"Are you sure?"
"Of course I am."
He passed her her pistol and they headed to the railing in the middle of the floor to shoot down more people on the first floor. Although the chaos had ended on the second floor, that didn't mean the whole building was still. Gunshots came from all directions.
They were lucky the Rebellion wasn't as prepared as the Society, having very few of their members actually armed or trained for combat. The Society lived off of 'what if's. What if someone got in? What if someone attacked a floor without any agents? What if?
You'd think, practically being a spin-off from the Society, they'd take a few aspects into consideration.
"Chan and Seungmin are hurt," Jisung called through their earpieces. "First floor, I'm alone."
"We need to go help," Paige said sprinting to the stairs. In this case, an elevator was too slow.
"Jisung, where are you?" She asked, shooting at everyone in her way.
"The North entrance, hurry. They are closing in," he responded, sounding terrified. As expected, mafias weren't quite prepared for a job as perilous as the Society.
"I'll stay here and shoot," Changbin told her. "You go save him."
She didn't waste any time agreeing, she sprinted down the halls, through crowds and freaked out members.
If took almost two minutes but she eventually arrived at the North entrance. Jisung was trying to stall by making jokes that none of them were having. Paige appreciated the effort and found it admirable but took no time to adore them. Chan and Seungmin sat behind them, pools of blood already surrounding them as they gasped for air or a higher force to save them. They were losing blood quickly. Someone had to attend to them immediately.
Paige threw a couple of knives at the agents then shot at the rest but in the time, Jisung got shot right in his leg and fell to the ground.
"Jisung's also hurt," she called. "I need medical attention asap. Anyone?"
"I think," Changbin spoke. "I'm the only one able to do that. We'll have to swap posts. You come back here and I go there."
"Alright. Come here quick. I can't leave them alone."
She turned to Chan, who had lost the most blood, got one of her knives and used it to cut off the left sleeve of her suit. It was expensive to make but she needed a quick fix. Chan was on the verge of death.
She wrapped the piece of leather around the bullet hole to stop or at least slow down the amount the blood flowing out.
Changbin arrived not long later and sat in front of them, pulling his bag full of first aid and quick resolutions off his back.
"A bunch of agents are closing in. You need to go, quick."
"Got it. Look after them and get them to the van when you can. I bet Linc would be there."
He nodded and she left, heading down the corridors to kill any agents heading in Changbin's direction.
She managed to shoot a few without a problem but then she crashed into one when she turned a corner and froze.
The agent smirked and pulled herself off the ground. She wore a white pantsuit with impossibly high heels and her dark, curly hair was tied into a way-too-tight ponytail. She had dark red lipstick which was the same colour are the blood staining her suit. It wasn't hers, Paige soon realised.
"Paige Davies, how nice to see you again. I would say it's a delight but I wouldn't want to lie to kid."
"Kid?" Paige scoffed. "What kid would kill all of these people?"
"A kid filled with emotional suffering and hatred due to loss. You must hate the Rebellion because of what we did to your parents but why don't you hear our side of it?" Lily asked.
"You made me an orphan and killed Janey. You lost every chance of having me listen to you."
"Lincoln's a liar-"
"You think I don't know that? But I'd rather believe his lies over yours."
Lily sucked at the inside of her cheek as two men dressed in black turned a corner and stood behind her like security guards.
"Not going to listen, huh? Then I guess I'm going to have to make you."
She snapped her fingers and the two men approached Paige. A few seconds later, she felt a metal rod bash against the back of her head. Everything sounds for a moment before Paige collapsed.
