22. Completely Incomplete

~
I was walking down an alley. Two tall, ancient buildings loomed over me, blocking me in. There was little light, but coming up, I noticed a figure standing ahead.

"Namjoon!" He looked up, and his face pulled up into a grin at the sight of me.

I grinned back, my heart beating faster seeing his face so happy because of me.

"Jin, you came."

Wait, he didn't see me? But I was right in front of him, how could he not see me?

What was this? Jin?

I felt an intense, icy pain go through me, and I stood frozen as Jin walked through me, through me, moving forward to take Namjoon's offered hand.

"So you agreed to my offer. I'm glad, I know we can do great things. Welcome to the family." Namjoon hugged Jin tightly.

What was this? Was this Jin joining Bangtan? Impossible, that had already happened, Jin was gone now. Wasn't he? Am I going crazy?

"I couldn't take it anymore. If this is going to go as well as you say it is, I only wish I had joined sooner." Jin looked upset, and Namjoon put an arm around him, turning him and leading him away.

As they walked into the darkness ahead, Jin turned his head, and he stared right at me, like he could see me.

His lips were moving, but I couldn't hear anything. I looked at his lips, but I couldn't understand. Reading lips was harder than some may think.

"RUN!" I heard that loud and clear, though it hadn't been spoken. Rather, it had appeared in my head. Jin looked at me, his face pulled together in intense emotion - what emotion, I couldn't tell.

"RUN!"

Namjoon and Jin disappeared, and I felt a cold prick on my neck, goosebumps growing and bristling.

I turned around slowly, and I saw a large dog running at me.

I've never been scared of dogs, and no dogs have ever been scared of me. We've always been friends. But this dog, this dog was different.

It was mangy, with damp, matted fur and bald patches with sickly skin and gaping wounds. It's lips were pulled back above the gums, it's teeth baring, winking at me with red staining the yellowed teeth.

Blood stains.

I couldn't move, couldn't run away. I just stared there horrified as it got closer, and it jumped on me, attacking me, tearing at my skin.

I fell back easily, it's weight covering me, suffocating me as it's body wriggled around on top of me, it's teeth digging into my flesh and trying to tear me apart. It was doing a good job.

I lay limp, unable to move, the pain paralyzing me. After shaking me around some, the dog walked off, satisfied with the gnarled mess I had become.

I stared at my arms, which were torn and ripped, and I cringed as the blood dripped to the ground in pools.

As the blood touched the stone, it transformed into wolfsbane. My favourite, but seeing my blood mingle with petals on the stone, I didn't find it beautiful anymore.

Feeling a prick on my finger, I picked up my hand to see a lizard gripped on my pinky, it's small mouth trying to wrap around my skin.

It let go and scurried away from me, and I sat in surprise, staring at my mangled hands and the growing pile of bloody petals around me.

"What a mess you've found yourself in." Jin stood above me, his eyes looking pained. He reached a hand out, resting it on my head, and everything faded to black.

The sun was barely peeking up when I woke up. My head was burrowed in Namjoon's neck, my legs wrapped around his. It was a cold night, and the fire had died down, but sometime in the night Namjoon and I had managed to move closer, and I felt warm in his embrace.

After making sure that Namjoon was asleep, I stood up, immediately shivering at feeling of being out of the warm huddle. Making my way carefully through the dim woods, I stretched out my sore body and fixed my clothes, taking care of business. I felt distraught from the dream, and I continued walking, needing some time to get my head back on straight.

What did it all mean? Would I ever know?

I just wanted to forget, it was too scary to think about, especially after my dream.

It had felt so real.

I shuddered and shook my head, dispelling the thoughts.

The sun rose in the sky, distracting me from the path as it glimmered and glistened, shining through the trees and making it feel like a fairy wonderland in the woodland below.

When I found my way back, Namjoon was sitting up, staring at the fire, which had grown back to it's large, all-consuming size.

"You were gone a long time." He didn't look up from the fire as I sat next to him. His elbows rested on his knees and he leaned forward, tilting his head to the side.

Still shivering, I ducked my head under his arm and shimmied closer to him, leaning over to place a small kiss on his neck.

"How do you know? You weren't awake when I left." Unless he was like Suga, and pretended to be asleep. Fuck, I never thought about that.

"Yeah, well, I didn't want to distract you from staring at me, so I just kept my eyes closed." I snorted at his words, nudging my shoulder into his side before shaking my head.

"I got lost," I said, avoiding anything that could add to Namjoon's easy, sure confidence in my complete lack of control for him.

"Lost in your love for me?" I groaned, rolling my head back to rest against his shoulder, covering my face with my hands.

"Whatever you want to think Joonbug," I mumbled, curling my legs up and resting them across his lap.

"Did you just call me bug? I'll have you know I'm not small. I'm more of a powerful dragon, or a royal lion." His voice held the tone of joking disdain.

"Oh, offended are we? I think you're more domestic, maybe a little house cat or a lap dog-" Namjoon cut me off with a hand to my mouth.

He pulled me onto his lap, locking me in his arms and tickling my sides when I struggled.

"Who's the lap dog now huh? That'll teach you to cross me." He burrowed his face into my neck, shaking his head and causing me to squirm in tickled discomfort.

"Yah, close your eyes guys! It's not safe! It's not safe!" Namjoon and I looked up to see Jungkook running around with a hand over his eyes, smacking into Suga who shoved him to the side with grunt.

Angel was running after him, laughing quietly, and J-Hope and Jimin looked like they were trying to push each other into the pool.

Star was standing next to Suga, staring us down with her arms at her chest, looking clenched. Suddenly, she jumped up and down, shaking a distraught Suga before pulling him to a chair beside us.

She pushed him down on the chair and then sat on top of him, throwing her legs over the arm of the chair.

Suga complained, but his arms immediately wrapped around her waist, and he pulled her closer so that he could place kisses on her neck.

Angel had managed to catch Jungkook and she guided him to a chair, where he insisted she sat down, crossing his arms and holding his head up until she sat. He then sat down, leaning his back against the chair, between her legs.

He found a pinecone and proceeded to throw it into the fire, causing it to spark just as J-Hope walked by, sending J-Hope flying in surprise and wailing in fear.

Of course, Jungkook seemed to love that, so he started throwing every pinecone he could find, and the elusive V came in, patting his head and making strange, incoherent noises when he stared at the fire popping and crackling.

Suga and Star had fallen asleep, no doubt taking one look at the warm fire before closing their eyes, letting the heat spread across their body and make them sleepy - not that they weren't already. They always seem to be.

Jimin walked over, finally joining us, a gleeful J-Hope on his back. Jimin sat down on the chair, and he sighed softly as J-Hope kept his strong hold on him, his legs and arms securely wrapped around Jimin.

Jimin wriggled and struggled until J-Hope gave up and let go, sitting in the chair closest to Jimin so that he could hold his arm. Jimin acted annoyed, but he didn't resist so I figured he appreciated the affectionate attention.

The whole group was here, and I know it felt complete to have them all together, grinning and fooling around with each other. But, looking at the last, vacant chair, I remembered my dream, and I realized that the others must not feel like the group was complete.

Jin.

**** If you believe in the whole dream meanings and symbols, then this should be interesting for you! If not, then this will at least give insight into the story and perhaps foreshadow some future events ;)

Being attacked by a dog in dreams is thought to mean that you may act on impulse too much and need to slow down and think before you act.

Dream lizards give the message that you need to be cautious in your dealings with other people. A lizard running away from you means that you are afraid of something in your life, perhaps some decision or an event that occurred. A lizard biting you signifies that you may have a plan that you should not go through with.

Reminder:
Wolfsbane gives off the message of "danger" and "beware"
