At the stands, all three combatants were called for the final fight of the Sports Festival. Before the three left, Nejire stopped them.

Nejire: Good luck guys! I'll be rooting for all three of you!

Mirio: Thanks Nejire!

Starling: We'll give it our all!

Tamaki: Yeah......

After hearing Nejire's words of encouragement, all three went down to the arena and did some stretches while Tamaki ate some food from his pouch. 

Present Mic: AND HERE IS OUR FINAL FIGHT OF THE SPORTS FESTIVAL! HAILING FROM CLASS 1-A, I PRESENT YOU STARLING, TAMAKI AMAJIKI AND MIRIO TOGATA! 

The crowd cheered loudly for the three. While they cheered, the three students kept their eyes locked on one another. Tamaki activates Manifest to form octopus tentacles in his hands. 

Mirio: Let's give it all we got! May the best Hero wins!

Starling: Don't hold back guys! I won't go easy on you so don't go easy on me! 

Tamaki: (Starling.......Mirio......good luck.....)

Present Mic: CLASH!

Without hesitation, Starling and Tamaki attempt to take down Mirio, but Mirio uses Permeation to phase through the attacks. 

Mirio: Not bad guys! 

Mirio charges at Starling while Tamaki forms a plan. 

Tamaki: (Mirio will no doubt phase through Starling's attacks. If I can wrap my tentacles around Starling, I can take Starling out of bounds.)

As Mirio charges at Starling, she uses her Energy Blast Quirk to fires blasts of energy at Mirio. As she does so, the Energy Blast phases past Mirio and hits Tamaki. The force of the blast sends Tamaki flying out of bounds.

Present Mic: TAMAKI AMAJIKI HAS BEEN ELIMINATED! 

Before Starling could react, Mirio lands a devastating punch in Starling's gut, knocking her down. 

Present Mic: STARLING HAS BEEN RENDERED IMMOBILIZED AND UNABLE TO CONTINUE! THE WINNER OF THE MATCH IS MIRIO TOGATA FROM CLASS 1-A!

As Tamaki gets up, he sees Starling in the ground. On instinct, he ran up to the downed Starling and held her in his arms. 

Tamaki: A.....are you okay?!

Starling: I'm.....I'm fine....ow.....

Mirio: Sorry about that Starling! Guess I went a little overboard!

Starling let out a dry chuckle as Tamaki helped her up. After the fight, Mirio, Starling and Tamaki were presented with medals at an award ceremony. After Tamaki got his medal, his anxiety kicked in as he turned his head away from the crowd. Nejire cheered loudly for her three friends. After the Sports Festival, the four friends gathered outside the school. They see Carver trying to talk with Dove, who was using her Bone Claws to slash at a tree.

Starling: Carver! What's wrong with Dove? 

Carver: Her grandfather......he was killed. 

Hearing that shocked the four students.

Nejire: How terrible!

Mirio: Who could've done such a heinous thing?

Carver: It....it hasn't been confirmed yet......but they believe Repton is responsible. Or at least someone from the Raptor Gang.

Upon hearing this, Starling remembers how she lost her brother at the hands of Repton. Without hesitation, she walks over to Dove. Carver attempts to stop her, but Tamaki stops him. Starling approaches Dove as she stops slashing at the tree.

Dove: What do you want?!

Starling: I.....I understand what you're going through Dove. I lost my brother at the hands of Repton and his gang.

Dove: I'm going to find Repton and I'm going to make him pay! He'll pay for what he did to my Grandpapa! I'll.....I'll.....

Dove then breaks down in tears and falls to her knees. Starling hugs the grieving Dove as she knew exactly what she was going through. Afterwards, Carver places his hand on Starling's shoulder.

Carver: I'll take Dove home......

Carver then takes Dove home, leaving the four friends to reflect on what had happened. Tamaki then turns to Mirio and Nejire.

Tamaki: Guys....could I speak with Starling alone?

Mirio knew exactly what Tamaki was planning. He simply nods as he and Nejire walk home. 

Starling: Is something wrong Tamaki?

Tamaki: Starling........I......I.....there's something I need to say.....

Starling: Tamaki.....

Tamaki: I......like you.......

Starling then remembered what Mirio said about Tamaki liking her. Tamaki was becoming a stuttering mess. As he tried to form a sentence, Starling grabbed his hand. 

Starling: Tamaki.....I know.....

Tamaki was stunned by Starling's realization. 

Tamaki: I've.....I've wanted to tell you.....but I......

Starling then pulls Tamaki over for a kiss. Tamaki was completely unprepared for the kiss, but he soon let himself go and embraced Starling. She hasn't felt that kind of peace and bliss since the death of her big brother. When the kiss broke, Tamaki was speechless.

Starling: Tamaki.....thank you. 

Tamaki: For.....for what?

Starling: For your friendship.....for your.......

Tamaki then placed his hand on Starling's face. The normally shy and quiet Tamaki became a different person to Starling. 

Tamaki: You have nothing to thank me for Starling. I love you. And there's nothing that'll ever change that. 

Starling then embraced Tamaki for another kiss. Despite everything that has happened to her, Tamaki along with Mirio and Nejire were among the most precious things in her life. After that heartfelt confession, Tamaki walked Starling home. The couple gave each other a goodbye kiss as Starling entered her home where Aizawa was waiting for her.

Aizawa: I saw your performance at the Sports Festival. Not bad.

Starling: Thanks Shota. I think I made a good impression.

Aizawa: I don't doubt that. You should get some rest. 

Starling then walked up to Aizawa and hugged him. He was caught off guard at first until he returned the hug.

Starling: Thank you Shota.....for everything. 

Aizawa: Don't mention it kid. (If only you could see her now Interceptor.....)

After that, Starling went to her room and prepared to rest for another day. Her journey to become a great Hero like her brother had gained steam. Despite not winning the Sports Festival, she did however leave a lasting impression that would be carried on to when she became one of UA's Big Four.
