After Tamaki's match against Rinjiin, he returned to the stands where Nejire tackled Tamaki in a hug.

Nejire: THAT WAS AN AMAZING MATCH TAMAKI! 

Tamaki: It.....it was nothing Nejire.....

Mirio: Don't downplay yourself Tamaki! That was a good match! It's probably the best match of the festival so far! No offense Starling!

Starling: None taken.

Tamaki nervously looked at Starling for a brief second and quickly turned his head away.

Tamaki: T.....thanks.....

Starling: The way you handled yourself was amazing! 

Tamaki blushed deeply at this. But before Starling could continue, Nejire was called for her match against Triton. As the match began, Triton formed a trident with using his Water Quirk. Nejire became curious about the sight.

Nejire: Wow! What else can you form with your Quirk?! What's with the gills?!

Triton: This trident out here may be made of water, but don't let that fool ya! It's as hard and durable as steel! 

When the match began, Triton threw the trident at Nejire. She retaliates by using her Wave Motion Quirk to block the attack and launch the trident back at Triton. The trident then turns into water.

Triton: I see this is going to be fun! Best of luck to you missy!

Nejire: Thanks! Good luck to you as well!

Triton then used his Water Quirk to begin sliding around Nejire while she uses Wave Motion to launch shockwaves from her hands at Triton, but he was able to dodge her attacks. Triton then forms another trident and slides to Nejire. When he makes an attack, Nejire sees an opportunity.

Nejire: Nice try! WRING WAVE!

Nejire then blasts Triton with a powerful wave, sending him flying. Triton then forms a giant Water wall to keep him from flying out of bounds. As he falls to the ground, he uses the trident to stop the fall.

Triton: Quite an impressive Quirk! I see this isn't going to be as easy as I thought!

Nejire: Then let's show everyone what we got! 

Nejire then continues shooting waves at Triton, but he continues using his Water Quirk to slide around Nejire's attacks. Triton then uses his Water Quirk to shoot water blasts at Nejire. Triton sees the opportunity to slide to Nejire and trips her with the trident. 

Nejire: Ow!

Triton: Sorry about that! I'm also sorry about this!

Triton then uses his Water Quirk to trap her in a Water Prison. Nejire struggles to get out but is unable to. 

Triton: Don't try to struggle. This Water Prison is sturdy!

Nejire: We'll see about that!

Nejire then uses her Wave Motion Quirk to unleash a shockwave on the Water Prison holding her. The shockwave freed her from the prison, but sent her out of bounds.

Present Mic: AND NEJIRE HADO IS OUT BY ACCIDENTAL SELF ELIMINATION! THE WINNER IS TRITON!

The crowd cheered loudly for both Triton and Nejire for the hard fought match. Nejire felt bad for herself.

Nejire: Aww!

Triton: Don't beat yourself up! That was quite a maneuver you pulled! If it weren't for the elimination, I'd be in a tight situation!

As Triton said that, a smile fell on her face as she returned to the stands.

Starling: Sorry about the loss Nejire....

Nejire: It's okay guys! I had fun! So did Triton!

Mirio: That's the spirit Nejire!

Nejire then proceeded to hug Mirio, Starling and Tamaki in a tight hug. But as the hug ended, Mirio was called for his match.

Mirio: Looks like my match is up next. Wish me luck guys!

Nejire: Good luck Mirio!

Tamaki: Watch yourself out there.

Mirio: I got this! If Billy Rex fights like Suzy Lu, then this should be a piece of cake!

Starling: Taking notes are we?

Mirio: Yep!

Mirio then made his way to the ring, he and Billy Rex exchanged friendly banter.

Mirio: Ready Billy?

Billy Rex: Ready when you are! Apologies in advance for the cold treatment!

Mirio: Nice pun!

When the match began, Billy Rex lets out a whoop and uses his Ice Quirk to slide towards Mirio. As he does so, Mirio's clothes begin falling off. Billy Rex is caught off guard as he stops dead in his tracks in embarrassment.

Billy Rex: Ah!!!! Dude! Your clothes! 

Mirio then scrambles to put his clothes on.

Mirio: Oops! Sorry about that! My Quirk is kinda tricky! Always forget about that! 

When Billy Rex turns his head around, he sees only Mirio's discarded clothes on the ground. Confused, he walks over to the discarded clothing.

Billy Rex: Does this mean I win? 

In the stands, Starling along with Tamaki and Nejire were waiting for Mirio to make his move. Meanwhile, as Billy Rex looked around, Mirio suddenly sprang from beneath him and landed a devastating uppercut him as he grabs his discarded pants and puts them on. 

Mirio: POWER!!!!!

Billy Rex was knocked unconscious by the uppercut. Mirio then walked to his shirt and put it on as the crowd cheered.

Present Mic: BILLY REX IS OUT! THE WINNER OF THE MATCH BY KNOCKOUT IS MIRIO TOGATA!

The crowd began to cheer for Mirio. The loudest came from Starling and Nejire. Medics came in and carried the unconscious and embarrassed Billy Rex on a stretcher. After Mirio's fight, Harrier scored a quick victory against Screaming Queen. Blister scored a hard fought victory against Bullet. The final match ended Shizako scoring a quick victory against Aizen. The match card was updated.

As the tournament went into it's second round, those who advanced prepared themselves for their matches.
