Chapter 25
"Oh well now their just fucking with us!" Bakugou snarled while staring up at the wall with the rest of his group. Bakugou and Kirishima were hardwired to wake up earlier, usually training by five thirty, so when they woke up, Izuku, Kaminari and Sero were forced awake.
They had gone down into the common area with Fat Gum, who had been on night watch. They caught sight of the message quickly.
"Clearly, but this is good. If they did this last night, there's a limited number of people that could be responsible." Izuku pointed out, gripping Kaminari's hand tightly. He couldn't lie and say he wasn't the least bit scared.
On the wall in the living room, in red, dripping paint read,
Your plans fucking stupid
You wont find me like this
Sincerely,
The UA Traitor
"There lack of commas annoys me." Izuku mutter.
"Do you really think commas are what was going through their head when they did this?" Kirishima questioned, gesturing to the writing.
Sero scrunched his nose. "It's paint right? Like it's not blood or anything, right? Right guys? I need someone to tell me it's no blood or I'll hurl." He said, letting his anxiety seep into his voice as he wrapped his arms around his torso.
Bakugou rolled his eyes at the queezy teen. "Of course it's paint. It's too light to be blood." He said in a gruff voice, letting his eyes travel back to the writing.
Izuku up at the yellow haired boy who was gripping his hand. He could feel a pit settle in his stomach as his anxiety rose. "What'd we do now? I think they're getting mad." He pointed out the painfully obvious.
Kaminari sent his boyfriend a goofy smile in return, confusing the slightly shorter boy. "Good. The more mad they are, the sloppier they are and the easier they become to catch."
Kirishima eyed his, apparently, fearless friend. "So this," he said, motioning his hands at the red writing. "Doesn't scare you? In the slightest?"
Kaminari shrugged. "I've been putting up with Bakugou for years, this is nothing. If they're leaving cryptic messages and hiding in the shadows, then their just cowards and not worth the fear." He explained with an air of knowledgeability that no one was used to coming from him.
Bakugou smirked as he looked back at the wall. "Huh, yeah. Fucking coward." He said, completely agree with the yellow haired boy, perhaps for the first time.
"Should we be worried that Fat Gum left us to go get Aizawa?" Sero spoke up, looking out the door, trying to see if their teacher and current supervisor were on their way back yet.
"Nah, we're all together so it's not a big deal. Leaving groups with out a supervisor probably isn't a good idea, but I'm here and basically count so," Kaminari answered with a shrug at the end.
"What kind of plot twist would it be if you ended up being the traitor all along." Kirishima joked, nudging the yellow haired boy with his shoulder.
"Wild dude." Kaminair said back, joking along with him.
Izuku grabbed his waist, pulling him into a hug. "Let's not joke about that, yeah? Especially if Todoroki is around."
Seconds later, Aizawa, Nezu and Fat Gum came running into the common room. They stopped in front of the five boys to scrutinize the wall.
"Well you pissed them off." Aizawa remarked.
"Kind of the point." Kaminari said back.
"Way to go, you're plans working kid." Fat Gum said, his voice doing nothing to hide his worry for the spy's plan.
"We need to get the rest of the class down here so we can try and figure out who did this." Kaminari said, redirecting the conversation.
"On it." Fat Gum said, heading to the elevators.
A few minutes past and soon all of class 3-A and their supervisors were in the common area, taking in the sight of the message left by the traitor.
Kaminari spoke up, instantly gaining the attention of everyone in the room. "Okay, the only time someone could have done this, is when we all left to go up to the dorms. The only time any of us are alone is to use the bathroom, which means one of you, " he paused to point at the pros in the room. "Either fell asleep last night, or the traitor did this when they were supposed to be going to the bathroom."
"Be completely honest, did any of you fall asleep? If you did, it's likely the traitor is someone in your group, which narrows it down a whole lot." He continued.
Endeavor shot him a glare for even suggesting he'd fall sleep on the job, but shook his head no anyways, just for confirmation. Fat Gum shook his head no as well. Hawks shook his head no.
Everyone turned to stare at Mt. Lady, who hadn't stated if she had or hadn't yet.
"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to, it's just it was really late and it's not like anyone told me before hand that I'd have to pull an all nighter!" She said, holding her hands up as the curious stares turned to angry glares.
"I knew she was a bad idea." Kaminari muttered to himself.
Izuku pulled on his sleeve, gaining his attention. "She might have been the best idea. You said so yourself, if anyone fell asleep it's most likely that someone in their group did this. It gives us five suspects now, two of which were on your list." He reasoned in a whisper.
He gave a small nod. "Yeah, I guess that is somewhat of a bright side to this." Kaminari turned back to the bulk of the class. "We're gonna need to question everyone in Mt. Lady's group, including you." He said to the pro.
"Fine." She whined.

"You don't seriously think it's me, right?" Mina asked anxiously.
She was seated at a table in an empty dorm on the second floor. It had been converted into a makeshift interrogation room for the time being. The whole dorm building was on lock down as the group was questioned.
Kaminari was sitting across from her as Aizawa and Toshinori sat against the wall behind him. The rest of the supervisors were with their groups, two to most groups.
The yellow haired boy was forced to leave Izuku for the questioning, so he really just wanted to get it over with and get back to him. He had a bad feeling about being away from him for so long.
"No Mina, I don't think you did it, but I trust you more than the other four, so I need you to tell me everything that happened last night after your group went to bed." He said. He would be asking the same thing to the rest of the group, but he wanted her to know that he was going to trust what she said over them.
She nodded as she tried to remember every detail of the previous night. "We all went up to my dorm, deciding to stay there for the first night. We did make overs and our nails because, well I mean it's us, of course we did."
"Not important Mina." Kaminari said, trying to get her back on track. His leg had started to bounce as she talked.
"Oh right, anyways everyone but Mt. Lady went to bed around eleven or twelve probably? At least I did. I think Aoyama was out first, then Hagakure. Jirou and Yaomomo were still up talking when I finally went to sleep, but they sounded like they were minutes away from passing out." Mina said, holding her finger to her chin as she recounted the events.
"Is that it? Did you wake up at all throughout the night?" Kaminari pressed.
Her face light up as she remember something else. "Oh yeah! I woke up at like one or something and I was super thirsty, like I was about to die of dehydration. Mt. Lady was still awake at that time, so I told her where I was going and she said I had five minutes."
"Wait Mina, was everyone still asleep at this point?" He asked, cutting her off.
She nodded. "I remember checking because I figured It'd be better if I went with someone else, ya know? But they were all passed out."
"Okay, well what happened after you left?" He asked, knowing that there had to be a point to her story.
"Hm, well... I was like half asleep at the time, so it's a little foggy. I ran into a few people, which surprised me. Ochako and Tsu were in the kitchen also getting water, I guess with Tsu's quirk it would make sense that she's need to hydrate. They were together so I didn't really pay much attention to it." She said with a shrug.
Kaminari nodded, making a mental note to talk to the two girls later if Mt. Lady's group fell through in questioning and they all turned out to be innocent. "Was there anyone else you ran into?" He asked.
"I don't... oh wait, I bumped into someone. Like I actually ran into them on my way back to the elevator. Crud, who was it?" She asked herself.
"Oh yeah, I bumped into Kirishima. I'm not one hundred percent sure what he was doing actually." She trailed off, trying to remember if they even talked last night.
Kaminari's eyes widened. He didn't know Kirishima had left last night.
He turned around and looked at the two adults in the back of the room. "Can one of you go get Kirishima for me?" He asked.
Toshinori nodded and left the room.
"Mina, you can go. Thanks for the help." Kaminari said, a troubled expression taking over his features.
"You don't think... You don't think it's Kiri, right?" Mina asked him in a whisper, not having it in her to raise her volume.
"No, but I need to know what he was doing out of the room." He explained.
She nodded as she stood up and walked out of the room. She was trying to remember why he was out too. It was on the tip of her tongue, but she couldn't think of it.
She was nearly to the elevator when she remembered. She ran back to the room, not realizing that Aizawa had already brought Kirishima back, they must have taken the stairs or something.
"I remember! He was looking for Sero." She said as she barged into the room just as Kirishima was sitting down. "Oh, oops. I guess he could have just told you that then."
"You were looking for Sero?" Kaminari asked, tilting his head slightly as he looked up at the still standing red head.
"Huh? Are you talking about last night?" Kirishima asked for clarification.
Kaminari nodded.
"Oh well, we were both still up and he complained that he was hungry. We asked Fat Gum if we could run down to the kitchen and grab something to eat. He figured since we were both going it wouldn't be a big deal. We on the elevator when I realized that I didn't have my phone charger so I ran to my room while he went to the kitchen. I ran into Mina when I was on my way back down." Kirishima explained.
Kaminari let his head drop onto the table in disappointment. "So you left the room in the dead of night, with one other person that you were told to stick with and then you immediately split up?"
The red head sent him a sheepish smile. "Yeah, I guess."
"Jesus Chirst." Kaminari muttered to himself. "You know I have to add you and Sero to the list of potential candidates now, right?"
Kirishima nodded slowly. "It seems like a waste of time though. You said so yourself that we were a few of the last people that would be the traitor." He said, not seeming to bother with the possibility of being under suspicion.
He wasn't. He knew he wasn't the traitor and if they monitored his closely, they'd all know it to. He had nothing to hide or fear, so why would it matter?
"I know, but I can't completely rule you guys out because you're my friends. I know you guys well, but that doesn't mean I know everything." He said truthfully.
"Can you just get all of them? Questioning them together will work better and be more efficient." He said to Aizawa and Toshinori.
They both nodded. "You good here while we're gone?" Aizawa asked before leaving.
"Yeah, I'll be fine." He said, not bothered.
"Okay, we'll be back."
