"brian i'm such a fucking idiot." i cry into the phone, as soon as anya slams our hotel door shut.

"man, what happened? is it you and anya?" he asks concerned. i sniffle, sighing.

"she found out about rio, i said something when i was drunk last night, and she was saying she forgave me but now she doesn't? brian she's left me alone and now i have to cancel those ballroom dance classes- and the paris trip that i brought forward because we're gonna miss it this year is gonna be so awkward- she wanted to go home!" i rant, sighing and sitting on the desk chair.

"where is she now?" brian asks.

"she's gone shopping, or something like that." i hear brian curse quietly. "what is it?"

"you might want to turn on the news, there's been like a- like an armed attack or something like that near oxford street in london, did she say where she's going?"

"i don't know, somewhere called selfridges." i shrug, turning the hotel room tv on, and coincidentally the news being on.

"selfridges is on oxford street." brian says slowly. "fuck."

"what?" i drop the remote i was holding, standing up from the bed. "n-no brian it isn't!"

"fuck sake shawn, what's it saying on the tv?" brian groans at me.

"-two armed men have been seen chasing people around oxford street, heading into the famous department store of selfridges, the police have caught them but-" i rush to get my hotel room key and wallet, opening the door and slamming it shut behind me.

"brian, what do i do? anya's there!" i yell, running down to the main lobby of the hotel, rushing out of the main doors.

"shawn! can we get some photos?" my fans yell.

"go home guys, please, there's been something on the news." i say panicked, quickly rushing past them to where the taxis lie.

"shawn! where's anya? we saw her come out about two hours ago." another one yells at me.

"guys, stop bugging him, he's panicked, and what the fuck are you doing with a beer bottle?" another one asks a blonde girl, who looks about 14 or 15. "shawn, go find her, i heard what happened."

"thank you so much, hey stay safe on your way back home guys, i love you!" i wave, getting into the taxi assigned to us. "where did you drop off anya?"

"selfridges, why?" the driver asks, pulling out of the road.

"take me there, now, please." i beg. "brian, have they said anything about people being injured?"

"some people were shot-" he gasps. "including a young looking, brunette girl."

"no." i whisper. "no, no, no!" i yell. "damn it no!"

"shawn, calm down, it might not have even been her." brian reminds me. "just stay calm."

"i-i can't brian!" i cry. "she's-she's my girlfriend, she's my best friend-" i stutter out, feeling my chest getting tighter.

"do you want me to stay here?" the driver asks, as i notice us parked outside of a scene of pure frenzy.

"please." i say, my eyes filling with tears. "thank you so much, i'll see you in a bit."

"she'll be okay." the driver tells me, as i sigh, rushing out of the car, pushing my way through the crowds, getting recognised, and people yelling at me.

i smell fear. i smell anxiousness. i smell panic. it lingers in the thick air of misery, people constantly breathing it in and the feeling never escaping them. i get pushed back, but that keeps me pushing myself forward. i have to find her.

people move out of the doors of selfridges in floods, screaming and rushing out, trying to save their own lives. they scream louder, and i feel tears run down my cheeks, as i sprint into the store, rushing about.

"anya!" i yell. "anya!" i look round every corner, my breathing getting heavier and heavier.

"sir, you have to leave!" a security guard says to me, pushing me back slightly.

"no! you don't understand! my girlfriends in here!" i shout, pushing back at the security guard. "i have to find her, let me go!" i yell.

"i'm sorry sir, i can't let you go further!" i glare at him, pushing him back with all my strength, before sprinting down the floor, reaching an area of clothing.

"anya rose!" i scream, stopping in the middle of the store, catching my breath and looking all around me.

"there's an attacker still in here?" i hear a worker mumble, as my head starts to spin.

"we need to get everyone out, now!" the people around me rush about, throwing their hands into the air, and running like hyenas, trying to escape the scene.

the echoes of gunshots eerily jumps in the distance, making tears pool in my eyes again.

"anya!" i shout, seeing a flash of brown hair of a girl, hiding around the jacket section.

"shawn?" i hear a yell back. she's safe.

"anya! where are you?" i yell, looking all around me. "anya!"

"shawn! i'm here! i'm next to the chanel coat stand!" she yells back, as i sprint around, trying to find the stand. "shawn, hurry!"

"oh my god, anya!" i spit her and i rush forward, seeing her gripping the coat rail, trails of tears running down her cheeks.

it's only then when i notice the blood soaking through her denim jacket, and her face holding a look of pure pain.

"babe!" i yell, tears pouring down my cheeks as i launch myself forward, wrapping my arms around her shaking body. "shh, anya, you're safe, shh." i rock her side to side, her blood staining my t-shirt, getting all over me.

"s-shawn." she stutters, wincing in pain.

"no, stay with me hunny, don't leave me." i warn her, pressing my hand firmly to her gunshot wound, trying to stop the flow of blood.

"sh-shawn- it hurts-" she chokes out, tears falling down her cheeks in streams.

"help!" i yell, gently picking her up and running to the nearest exit. "she's been shot!"

"police! doctor!" random people on the street yell, as anya softly cries into my chest, my arms holding her up from her legs, and supporting her back.

"n-no baby, you're okay, you're okay." i whisper, looking down at her, as a crew of ambulance workers push through the endless crowds, a stretcher with them. "you're okay."

"s-shawn." she sobs, her eyes fluttering tiredly.

"don't you dare close your eyes anya." i warn, tears pooling my own. "don't you dare close them."

"shawn- i'm so tired- i just-" her eyes roll to the back of her head, and her eyes shut as she gets strapped onto the stretcher.

"no! anya! wake up!" i yell, pushing at the doctors so i can be at her side once more.

"sir, let us take her to the ambulance." a doctor says calmly to me. "the faster we get there, the faster we save her."

"c-can i go with her?" i ask, sniffling through my tears.

"follow us." she says simply, as we weave our way through the crowds into an ambulance, anya immediately being wheeled in and strapped to different things, myself sitting in the seat next to her.

i can only hope she's okay.
