"Does anyone know where Piper went" Josh asks as we all sit in the living room Emmy arrived moments prior.

"I'll go find her" I say.

"She could be in the studio" Emmy says as I stand up. "It's on the third door to your left when you go to the third floor"

I walk up the stairs and head over to the room.

She was recording a cover.

I can tell she's in pain. She's on the brink of tears.

When piper finishes she and goes on her phone and makes a tweet to which I get a notification for.

Piper tweeted "I miss you guys so much, god took you back too soon"
Jadenhossler replied "piper we are here for you if you need to talk"

"Where you in here the whole time I was recording" she asks sitting beside me on the couch.

"Yeah and you got talent" I reply as she lays back against the couch with her head back.

"Why I snapped in the comments was cause, before my parents died, my dad would always call me Pipey" she explains. "I don't let people call me that unless they've earned it I guess"

"So only Emmy" I joke a little trying to lighten the mood.

"And my Gramps and Grams as well as Ken Ken " she replies with a small fake smile.

"If you don't mind sharing what happened to them" I ask curious. "You don't have to if you don't want to"

"We were in Chicago visiting my Gramps and Grands while my mom had a case. Both of my parents were lawyers but only my mom had the client in Chicago. My dad was just there to help" she starts to explain. "Uhh one day we were chilling and they had to go to the bank. They were on their way back out with Oscar when they were gun downed"

"That's awful I'm so sorry" I say as she sits up and faces me.

"I held my little 7 year old brother as he bled out. Thank god Ken wasn't there and stayed with our grandparents or he'd probably be gone too" She says as tears fall from her eyes, and I wipe them away with my thumb.

"Did you see who did it" I ask.

"Yeah I'm set to testify against them in a . . . I have to testify in a week or so. Apparently it took the Gang unit forever to connect their murder to the case they were working, so the trail took this long to start" she says anger laced in her tone.

"I'm so sorry" I say as she breaks down.

I take her in my arms and just hug her.

"When do you leave?" I ask as she sits down at her key board.

"Umm I leave Friday" she says.

Today's Monday.

"Is anyone going with you for support" I ask.

"Like who. Emmys busy with school, Luke, he's busy with dance and acro, Kendall still hasn't gotten over their death, taking him with me will send him over the edge completely, and I'd loose him to suicidal thoughts, he struggled with self harm for a while and. . . " she rambles.

"How bout I go with you" I offer as she goes silent for a minute.

"Why would you do that. You barely know me?" She questions.

"Everyone deserves support, love and compassion" I state factually.

"Fine I'll book our flights for Friday night. It's to give me time to adjust to the time zones and get in acquaintance with the prosecutor" she says getting up and walking outta the room.

I follow shortly behind her grabbing hold of her wrist and pulling her into my chest.

Piper tweeted "when you have to poop and your scared your gonna burn the corn bread muffins cause they have like 2 minutes left and that's the only reason you won't let your brother do it himself is that your worried he's gonna burn the house down.

Brycehall replied "@ jadenhossler come get you women before she says more stupid and embarrassing shit"
Jadenhossler replied to Brycehall "she not my girlfriend so I can't really do shit. . . yet"
Piper replied to brycehall "if I was embarrassed I wouldn't have posted it"

Skip to Friday afternoon 3 hours before they leave for the airport

"Are you sure you got this, he can be a handful" I ask Griffin who's gonna be staying with Kendall.

Mostly to make sure he doesn't burn the house down.

"I've got this now go enjoy your time in Chicago" Griffin says.

You might be asking why Griffin would say that.

Let's just say we are lying to Kendall, not telling him the real reason I'm going to Chicago is that they finally caught our parents, as well as little brothers killer.

It broke him, their death.

He was suicidal and started cutting. Do I hope that I'm lying to him, it'll protect him.

"I'm gonna head out to the warehouse before we leave" I say as we start loading our bags into the back of my truck.

"What do we need to grab at the warehouse" Jaden asks as we hop into the drivers and passengers seat.

"We aren't actually going there" I say as we drive off. "Just lied so Ken wouldn't know"

"Then where are we going" Jaden asks as we pull up to the Walmart closet to the location of where we are actually going.

"I've visiting my parents" I reply as I run inside.

I go to the flower section and grab a few before heading to checkout.

"Hold these" I say as I hand them to Jaden before driving away to the cemetery.
