Uraraka POV:

It's been about a week since Katsuki and I took a break from "dating" And I feel different...

After Deku found out, he had been especially nice to me. Which I can't say I wasn't expecting.

"Hey Uraraka!" Deku calls my name, jogging up to me.

"Hey Deku!" He stops in front of me. His messy green locks bounce slightly as he acts out his words,

"Do you wanna have lunch tomorrow with my family and Kacchan's? You can bring along your parents."

"Yeah that would be fun! although my parents live out of town... So they won't be able to come..." I nervously rub the back of my neck. Deku smiles sweetly, making a warm feeling blossom in my chest.

"That's fine!" I smile and ask,

"Did you ask Katsuki?"

"I asked his mom, she said that she would love to." I internally worry that Katsuki will be furious.

Bakugou POV:

"WHAT THE HELL YOU OLD HAG?!? I CAN'T HAVE LUNCH WITH MY EX! AND DEKU OF ALL PEOPLE!" My mom swings her arm around and smacks the back of my head.

"OH SHUT UP YOU BRAT! YOU STILL LIKE HER AND YOU KNOW IT!" I look away from her and scoff, trying to cover up the fact that my face had turned a deep shade of red.

I stomp up to my room and hear my mom scream,

"YOU BETTER NOT FUCK UP YOUR CHANCES WITH HER!!" I angrily turn around, even though I'm already upstairs and she can't see me, and scream back,

"SHE DOESN'T EVEN LIKE ME!! I'M AN ASSHOLE!!" I quiet my voice, so that my mom can't hear me,

"It's not like she'll return my feelings... Her eyes are on Deku..." For some reason, I feel tears sting the back of my eyes. I run into my room and slam my door, regretting coming back to visit my pathetic parents. Hot tears flow out of my red eyes.

Mitsuki POV:

I sigh, concerned for my hotheaded, sensitive, son. I quietly walk upstairs, standing in front of Katsuki's closed door.

I hear muffled noises coming from inside. I press my ear against the door and hear sniffles and cries. I quietly gasp.

Katsuki begins talking, his coarse voice full of sadness.

"why? why couldn't it have been real? why does that angel have to fall for someone as shitty as Deku?" I can hear him sob quietly, letting out his rare soft side in solitude.

I can feel my heart crack as I quietly bring my face away from the door, knocking lightly on the door with an edge of my knuckle. The crying and sniffling on the other side of the door stops. In a soothing voice, I say,

"Suki? Can I come in?" He responds, his voice slightly cracks,

"What do you want?" I slowly turn the door handle, opening the door. I see Katsuki, sitting on his bed with his knees to his chest, leaning against the wall.

I sit on the bed, knowing that he's not gonna want to talk.

"Suki, what's wrong?" He wipes a stray tear from his cheek, and defensively responds,

"What do you think?" I sigh,

"Katsuki..." I try to comfort him, but I can't find the right words.

"Why don't you tell me about her?" He lets out a shaky breath, not saying anything. I accept the fact that he won't say anything until...

"Here," He tosses his phone towards me, causing it to bounce on the soft mattress. I pick the cell phone up, looking at the glowing screen.

The screen shows a picture of Katsuki and a brown haired girl. Her short hair was tied back into a messy ponytail. Her face and the pink cooking apron she was wearing was splattered with white powder, probably flour.

The photo was a selfie, taken in a tidy kitchen. Katsuki was actually smiling, and the cute brunette next to him, was smiling as well.

"That's Ochako Uraraka." I smile, happy that Katsuki is finally opening up a little.

"She's cute,"

"No, she's not." I gasp slightly at his negative tone. But he quickly corrects me,

"She's beautiful."

My heart blossoms at the sound of this usually closed off, hot headed, rude kid, being sweet and showing emotions other than anger.

"She's the one who cracked me open. Breaking my hard shell and exposing the softness I try to hide." His voice gets a little bit shaky, but he quickly recovers.

"She's sweet, caring, hardworking, and stronger than you'd expect. She was the one I fought at the sports festival." I smile again, remembering how he couldn't stop talking about her afterwards.

"And she looks down on herself so much it just makes my blood boil. Why can't she see how fucking perfect she is?" He looks down, suddenly looking sad.

"I just... I can't help but feel this way for her. But I know that she would be much happier with somebody else..." He continues, "After all..."

"I do nothing but cause problems..."

Uraraka POV:

My pink flip phone vibrates, signaling that I'm receiving a call. I pick it up off of my nightstand, the small screen reading, "Daddy" I pick up the phone and flip it open, putting it up to my ear.

"Hey, daddy."

"Hi pumpkin, how's it going?"

"Good, I've been training hard. I'm going to lunch with Deku's and Katsuki's family tomorrow."

"Oh that's nice. Isn't that Katsuki boy your boyfriend?" I haven't told my parents that the entire thing was fake.

"Oh yeah. I really like him." I decided not to tell him that we took a break.

"That's good, does he treat you nice?"

"He actually does. Usually, he's a hothead and he's known for being angry a lot. But he's actually really kind and sweet."

"You guys haven't done anything I wouldn't be proud of, have you?" My face turns bright red, thinking about what he means.

"What?! Nononononono!!!!! I promise, daddy. We haven't done anything like that!"

"Good. So, do you want me and mom to come down there for lunch?"

"What? But that's such a long way! I don't want to cause any trouble for you guys."

"It's fine honey, afterall... My little mochi got a boyfriend!" My face turns red again.

"Daddy, you don't have to come down just to meet Katsuki!"

"Oh come on! I wouldn't pass up a chance to meet the man who makes my little girl so happy!" After some more small talk, and trying to convince my dad not to come all the way here to meet Katsuki, we hung up.

Immediately after talking to my dad on the phone, I hastily text Katsuki.

~Kat~

Ochako: hey Katsuki

Katsuki: what the hell do you want?

Ochako: so my parents are coming to lunch and they really want to meet you...

Katsuki: ok, so?

Ochako: I didn't tell them that we arent dating...

Katsuki: so what? We aren't.

Ochako: no like, he thinks that we are dating and we haven't taken a break.

Katsuki: ...
Katsuki: shit.

Ochako: yeah... Did you talk to your parents? Do they know we took a break?

Katsuki: my mom does, she probably told my dad too.

Ochako: so... Should we get back together for like... A week?

Katsuki: whatever...

Ochako: Great! What's our story?

Katsuki: idgaf

Ochako: fine then! I'll just make one up. You're not allowed to complain cuz u didn't contribute.

Katsuki: I literally couldn't care less.

Ochako: you're an ass

Katsuki: I fucking know, angel face.

Ochako: shut up, you ticking time bomb.

I shut my phone and lay on my bed, feeling rather lonely as most of my classmates are gone, visiting their parents on the weekend. I groan and flip my phone back open, scrolling through my contacts.

|Deku|

Ochako: hey, Deku.

Deku: Hey Uraraka!

Ochako: so, my parents are coming to lunch tomorrow.

Deku: the more the merrier! :)

Ochako: great!
