Kie's POV:

JJ and I have been married for almost nine months and so far marriage has been the best thing ever. We still went out on dates. Every week we did something small like watch a movie together, cook dinner together, and things like that. Once a month, we went out to eat, had a picnic, etc. We were planning things to do for our one year and we wanted to go on a vacation.

Last week, we went on a double date with my parents to Topgolf and it was so much fun. I never thought that I'd enjoy going on a double date with my mom and dad but it was a blast.

Once again, my dad and JJ were like best friends and got into some competitive golfing while my mom and I watched our boys act like boys.

The next few days we were both busy working and I was working from home the next few days which was so nice. JJ would come home for lunch and we'd eat together. The other day, I met him at the beach and we had a picnic.

Tonight, John B and Pope were coming over for dinner so I was busy preparing the meal and cleaning up the house. JJ was grilling steaks and I was making the sides.

The guys hung out outside and Sarah was with me in the kitchen. I had a bit of a headache so I wasn't drinking but she had a glass of wine. We all sat down and ate together they all gave us shit for acting like an old married couple.

The next day, I had to work and I wasn't looking forward to it but luckily it was Thursday.

I woke up and I got my period and had some cramps so I took some meds to make them go away. JJ and I both got ready for work and my cramps hurt like a bitch today. I laid on the floor in the one position I knew that would help relieve the pain, child's pose.

JJ saw me laying on on the floor and he looked confused.

"Kie, you good?" JJ asked

"Yeah, I'm fine... It's probably just period cramps or ovulation pain"

"Aren't you on birth control?"

"Yeah, but that's what the pain feels like and I'm on my period"

JJ left for work and told me to call him if the pain got worse. I promised that I was fine and he left to go to work. I went to the office and started working from home and I was fine.

JJ stopped home during his lunch break and asked, "How's my beautiful wife feeling?"

"I'm fine, don't worry about me"

"You know that I'm going to worry about you" He said kissing me

We had lunch together and then I was went lay on the couch and he asked, "Pain still there?"

"Yeah" I said in pain

"Kie, come on, you need to go in"

"It's probably just an ovarian cyst or appendicitis"

"Kiara Anna Maybank, appendicitis is serious and so is ovarian torsion. I did my research too, we're going"

I slowly got up and I was doubled over in pain. I walked into the bathroom and threw up from the pain. I still argued and told JJ that I was fine, but he carried me to his truck and he started driving to the hospital.

They got me checked in and I answered a bunch of questions and they brought me back to a room. JJ had stepped out to call my parents and let them know. They were taking my blood now to run some labs to figure out what was going on.

JJ came back in and he sat with me while we waited for my labs to come back and for the other tests to be ordered.

"You doing okay?" He asked

"It hurts, but I'm okay"

"I'm right here" He said grabbing my hand and kissing it

He always takes such good care of me. I hated hospitals and I was scared to know what was wrong. I looked at him and asked, "What if I'm dying? Or have cancer? Or I need surgery? Or..."

JJ cut me off and he said, "No what ifs, no matter what it is, I'm here with you and I'm not going anywhere. You're going to be okay. I love you"

"I love you too"

JJ and I waited and I tried not to think about the pain. I was nervous for other tests and finding out the results. I just had a feeling that whatever it was, it wasn't going to be good.
