Kie's POV:

JJ and I were back in Florida and he was working full time while I was going to school. I decided to do a full class load this summer so I could graduate sooner. JJ's been doing well considering his dad's death. He loved his job and was making really good money. I was so proud of him. Our relationship has been amazing. 

My cousin texted me and she's been pregnant with her second baby for a while now and she had asked if I would watch her daughter when she went and had the baby. I told her yes and that was a few weeks ago. My cousin called and told me she was in labor and asked if she could drop Maddie off for a few days. I said yes and thirty minutes later, my cousin's husband had brought in her porta-crib, stroller, bag full of clothes/diapers, car seat, and a few toys. 

I was holding Maddie while I made dinner when JJ walked in and saw all the baby stuff. 

"What's going on?"

"I'm watching Maddie while Hannah has baby number two"

"You didn't think to ask me?"

"Jayge, you don't have to do anything... I can't say no to Hannah"

"It's whatever" He said annoyed

I had dinner done and I cut everything up really small for Maddie. She sat on my lap and JJ was extremely quiet. He put his dishes in the sink and went upstairs.

I let Maddie play while I cleaned dinner up and then I gave her a bath and got her all ready for bed. I had her crib set up in the guest room. I put her down and then I found JJ sitting downstairs in front of the TV.

"Can we please not fight about this" I said sitting next to him

"Kie, you know I don't want kids... You said you were okay with it"

"I am, but that doesn't mean I'm going to stop loving my cousin's kids"

"I don't expect you too, but I don't want to uncle JJ or whatever"

"What are you going to do when John B and Pope have kids?" I challenged

"I don't know and I don't care... I don't want kids. I don't want to be around them" He said firmly

"Message received... " I said walking upstairs and going to bed

It was extremely early but I laid there on my phone and it didn't take long for JJ to come up and sit down on my side of the bed. 

"I'm sorry, of course, I want you to be in Maddie's life and she's so lucky to have you. It just caught me off guard coming home to a baby here"

"I know and I'm sorry but I love Maddie and I couldn't say no to Hannah"

"I wouldn't ever want you to. I'll do my best, but I'm not good with kids... I love you and I don't ever want you to go to bed mad. Will you come back downstairs and we can watch a movie or something?"

"But I'm comfy in bed"

He scooped me up and carried me downstairs to the couch and said, "Now you're comfy on the couch"

I laughed and he put on one of our favorite shows. I kissed him and then we watched the show together and once we were on the second episode, we were making out and paying very little attention to the show. But we broke apart when Maddie started crying.

JJ gave me a look like see this is why I don't want kids. I got off him and went upstairs and picked Maddie up. She seemed okay, I rocked her back to sleep and then came back downstairs and told JJ that I was going to bed. He said he'd be up soon as he wanted to finish this episode.

The next morning I woke up to a picture of my cousin's new baby boy. He was adorable. I was taking Maddie to the hospital today to meet him. She was so excited to see the baby.

I facetimed my mom and showed her and she was in love with the little boy. Maddie was so happy to see her mom, dad, and baby brother. They took a bunch of cute pictures and then I brought Maddie back to the beach house. She cried leaving her mom and dad but she was okay when we got home.

I put her down for her nap and worked on some homework. I got dinner ready for when JJ got home. I played with Maddie and went into the kitchen to pull dinner out of the oven. JJ came home and he walked over to me and he kissed me while I held Maddie.

"How was work?" I asked

"It was good, how's the new baby?"

"He's adorable... Maddie loves him so much and it was the cutest thing"

JJ smiled and he asked, "Need any help with dinner?"

"If you want to grab plates that would be helpful"

JJ got the plates and I got Maddie's food cut up small for her and we ate. JJ cleaned up and put away dinner while I took care of Maddie. It was almost bedtime and Maddie was watching some baby show that JJ found incredibly annoying. It was really nice out so I decided to take Maddie for a walk.

I got her in the stroller and I looked at JJ and asked, "Do you wanna come with?"

"Sure" He said

We were walking around the neighborhood and I was pushing the stroller and JJ walked beside me holding my hand. 

We walked about a mile and Maddie was very talkative pointing out every bird, dog, person, house, etc. She was adorable. We had to walk up a big hill and I said, "I hate this hill"

"Get on" He said

I jumped on his back and he held me and pushed the stroller up the hill. I got off his back when we got up the hill and he continued pushing the strolled as he grabbed my hand. We got home and I got Maddie to bed and then I went downstairs to my boyfriend. 

"Hi" I smiled

"You seem happy"

"I am" I said not telling him my reason for being extra happy was having Maddie here

He kissed me and said, "Tomorrow night, I'm taking you out on a date"

"Where?"

"To the beach to watch sea turtles hatch" 

"Really?" I asked

"Yes, I was talking to Zeke and he told me about it" 

"I can't wait" I said hugging him

The next morning, I took Maddie to the beach and JJ tagged along with his surfboard. I sat with Maddie on the beach under an umbrella. She played in the sand and then I brought her out into the ocean. She was only ankle-deep and I was holding her hand. I went out about knee-deep and picked her up as the waves came and she was having so much fun.   

I looked over and saw JJ surfing and Maddie saw too. 

"Yeah, that's JJ" I said watching him

Holding the most adorable two year old and watching my hot boyfriend surf was really turning me on and giving me major baby fever. JJ came over to us holding his board and I put Maddie on it and held onto her and said, "Look, you're surfing just like JJ"

She was so happy. I looked at JJ and asked, "Can you go grab my phone and get a video so I can send it to her mom?"

He did and then we headed back home as Maddie was going home today. There was a part of me that wished she could just stay forever. Her dad picked her up and afer she was gone, I went and got ready for my date with JJ. I was excited to watch sea tutles eggs hatch and see the baby turtles.

I basically just changed clothes, put some make-up on, and put my hair up in a messy bun. JJ took a shower and then we headed to dinner. I was trying to act happy but there was a part of me that was sad that Maddie was gone. She is the cloest thing I'll ever have to having my own baby.
