Kie's POV:

I got up early with my parents to go tour two colleges. I knew JJ wouldn't want to go so I told him and Zeke to make plans. The schools were nice, both had good and bad things about them.

On the way back home, we stopped to pick up food from our favorite seafood restaurant and we brought it back. JJ asked a bunch of questions about the college tours and then we talked about his day surfing with Zeke. I'm glad that JJ and Zeke get along so well.

We decided to go for one last sunset walk on the beach before we left Florida tomorrow and headed home. I loved Florida and wished we could move down here. It's one of the reasons why I want to go to school here.

JJ and I held hands walking on the beach and we just talked and laughed and all I wanted to do was freeze time. JJ was talking again, "Kie, you know no matter where you decide to go to school our future isn't going to change. I am going to love you no matter what. My love for you will never change and when I look at you, I see my whole future, our whole future together. You are my world and I love you so fucking much so I'm giving you this ring to you to promise that no matter what happens in these next few months and years, nothing changes. I still wanna marry you someday. I love you Kiara Anna Carerra"

At this point, we had stopped walking and he was holding a ring. A promise ring. JJ freaking Maybank was standing here with me on the beach giving me a promise ring. My fake boyfriend turned real boyfriend is giving me a promise ring. He wants to marry me. He loves me, like really loves me. I was smiling like a total idiot as I said, "I love you, JJ and I can't wait to marry you someday"

He put the ring on my finger and it was absolutely gorgeous. It was a thin gold band with a small diamond in the middle. He knew I loved gold jewelry and the diamond was so simple, it's perfect. It would be the exact ring I would pick out for myself. 

"Do you like it?" He asked nervously

"I love it, it's perfect..." I said still admiring it as I kissed him

He hugged me after the kiss and whispered, "I don't know how I got so lucky"

"Luck has nothing to do with it" I said as he kissed me again

We went back to the beach house where my parents were waiting. I looked at JJ and asked, "Did you tell them?"

"Yeah, I talked to your dad last night and told him he could tell your mom"

I showed the ring to my mom and she took a bunch of pictures of me and JJ which I sent to Sarah and told her he got me a promise ring. I then posted on social media. This was the perfect way to end our trip to Florida, well except for the part of us not getting to have sex last night and probably not tonight either.

We all went to a local ice cream shop and then came back to pack as we had to leave early the next morning. JJ and I didn't sneak into each other's rooms tonight because he did tell me that my dad seemed serious about that. I fell asleep looking at the ring on my finger. The next morning, we were up early going to the airport and I sat by JJ and fell asleep on his shoulder.

We got home and I started laundry and my mom went to the grocery store. My dad and JJ went to the Wreck to see how things were going while we were gone. Tomorrow was New Year's Eve and there was a huge party and then we were going to the Chateau after. I was wearing a tight black sparkly dress and I couldn't wait to tease JJ all night in it. 

The next night, I was getting ready for the party and this dress was short and tight. It was perfect. I finished doing my makeup and air and then I walked downstairs and grabbed my coat and purse and waited for JJ. My parents were getting ready to go to a country club party tonight. JJ and I quickly walked outside and got in my car, he was driving and he said, "You can't wear shit like this in front of me with your parents right there"

He said adjusting himself and I just smirked. He grabbed my hand and held it as he drove to the party. We both grabbed drinks and then found John B and Pope. JJ showed them my promise ring and they both couldn't believe that JJ gave me a promise ring, claiming he never would've done this before he met me. Sarah came running over and hugged me and said, "I have dibs on being your maid of honor"

"Of course, when I'm actually getting married"

She looked at the ring and then looked at JJ and said, "Dude, this ring is perfect. It's so Kie... Good job"

JJ laughed and said, "Thanks"

Sarah hugged him and she was slightly buzzed already. We hung out at the party and we were dancing, which drove JJ crazy. It was getting close to midnight and John B found a girl to kiss and we were trying to find a girl for Pope to kiss at midnight but he said he wasn't interested in swapping germs with someone.

JJ and I were making out as the clock struck midnight and when we broke apart he said, "We're leaving"

He grabbed my hand and we left the party and he drove to the Chateau where we didn't even make it to the bedroom. We had overdue sex on the couch and just hoped that John B and Pope didn't walk in. Honestly, we were so caught up in the moment.

After, he picked me up and carried me to one of the bedrooms. He went back out and grabbed our clothes and then we went for round two. Fuck, I've missed having sex with my boyfriend.

I checked my phone and my mom had texted me.

Mom: Hi, I just want to make sure you guys are okay? We heard that cops showed up at a party

Kie: Yes, we are all back at the Chateau

Mom: Drive safe coming home, lots of people have been drinking tonight

Kie: Can I spend the night? 

Mom: That's fine

Mom: Happy New Year, honey! I love you

Kie: I love you too mom, happy new year

I looked at JJ and said, "I have permission to spend the night at the Chateau"

He laughed and said, "You mom totally knows you're getting laid"

"Oh, for sure but I don't care..." I said kissing him again

We were making out again and I was ready to go again and so was he. We both needed a night like this, just the two of us, not scared about being caught sleeping in the same bed by my mom and dad.

I was laying on JJ's chest and my hand was resting on his chest as I admired my promise ring. 

"Whatcha thinking about?"

"Our future"

"What do you see?"

"I see you and me traveling the world and being happy and madly in love" I said thinking about growing old with JJ. I tried not to think about having kids because it's not what JJ wants and I love him and it's not something I need to worry about now, JJ is and always will be all I need in life

"I love you, Kie and I can't wait to see what this year has in store for us"

"I love you, Jayge" I said as he kissed me goodnight
