Kie's POV:

JJ and I were on the mainland and we got him fitted for a suit and now it was my turn to go dress shopping. We went into the store and looked around and JJ found the ugliest dress and said, "You're so trying this on"

"That's ugly"

"Exactly"

I found a few and then went to a dressing room and tried the ones I liked on first and JJ wanted to see each one. I was trying on the ugly one and when I walked out, he was smiling.

"I knew it"

"What? That the dress was ugly?"

"No, that no matter how ugly the dress, you can pull anything off and look beautiful" He said seriously which made my stomach flip and my heart race

"Jayge, no one can look good in this dress... Don't lie" I said because there was no way what he just said was true

"I wouldn't lie to you... You look beautiful" He said lost in my eyes

I went back to the dressing room and the lights started to flicker. You could hear the rain outside. I put the dress I wore here back on. It was just a simple dress and grabbed my purse. We stood by the door and it didn't look like the rain was letting up anytime soon. The store lost power and basically told us we needed to leave.

JJ looked at me and asked, "Want me to pick you up?"

"No, it's okay... We can go a few stores down to the cafe and grab lunch"

We opened the door and went to open the cafe doors, but it was locked.

"Let's just go back to the car" JJ said

It was pouring and I was soaked. He grabbed my hand as we were running down the sidewalk and then we had to stop at an intersection. We were both laughing and he asked, "Wanna dance?"

"I thought you didn't dance"

"I don't, but I gotta learn before prom"

JJ and I were dancing on the street corner in the pouring rain. I didn't care who was watching. We were both laughing and having fun. It felt like we were the only two people in the whole world. His hand was on my lower back and he held my other hand. We were looking into each other's eyes when we leaned in for a kiss. I don't know why I was kissing him right now. It's not like Cody was around or anyone.

We kissed in the bathroom at the Chateau the other day too and then when I dropped him off. It felt so natural that I didn't really think much about it. I guess this was just keeping up the boyfriend/girlfriend appearance.

We had been making out for a few minutes in the rain. We broke apart and continued running towards my car, holding hands. JJ went to the drivers seat, which I didn't mind.

We were dripping wet and he turned the car on and cranked the heat. We were both laughing and headed towards the ferry. We parked on the boat, but it wasn't running due to the storm. JJ looked over at me and asked, "So now what?"

We both leaned back in to continue making out. He pulled me over so I was on his lap, straddling him. Things were getting heated, his hands on my body, I could feel him getting hard beneath me. I pulled back, "JJ, we can't do this... I mean the rain make out was okay because we got the cutest video to post, but this... We can't..."

"I know...." He whispered

I carefully got off his lap and went back to the passenger seat. I could see him shifting, trying to adjust his boner. I tried not look over at him. We were pretty quiet the whole ferry ride and then he broke the silence and said, "I never got to help you pick out your prom dress"

"Guess it's just going to have to be a surprise"

"I can't wait... I really hope I didn't ruin your shopping trip"

"You didn't ruin anything, I had the best time with you..."

That night, I looked at the video we got. JJ set my phone up on the ledge and we got a video of the whole dancing and making out in the rain. I posted it on my instagram story.

JJ liked it and he texted me.

JJ: Damn, we look hot as hell in that video

Kie: Fuck yeah we do

I texted Sarah and told her we needed to go prom dress shopping because I didn't end up getting one today. We made plans to go together and then I spent the rest of the night texting JJ. I'm glad things weren't weird between us after what happened in my car.

I went to bed and the next few days at school were pretty normal. Sarah and I went prom dress shopping and I found the perfect dress. I was actually really excited to surprise JJ with it. Sarah also found a dress as she was going with Topper.

My mom and dad had invited JJ with us on the annual Spring Break trip to Florida a while ago and it was coming up in two weeks. They were buying plane tickets and wanted to know if JJ was coming or not.

Kie: Hey, my parents are buying plane tickets to Florida for Spring break and they wanted to know if you still wanted to come with us? Free vacation

JJ: Do you want me there? I don't want to come and have it be awkward

Kie: Jayge, it won't be awkward. I promise, but it would be fun having you there

JJ: I'm in

Kie: Can't wait! I'll let my parents know

I told my mom that JJ was coming with and she was excited. I was kinda excited too. JJ and I were going to Florida together. This was going to make Cody so jealous. He loved going on my family trip to Florida.
