The next day Alec and Magnus rested on the bed talking to each other alone. Then suddenly Izzy walked in, or should we say barged in. The door was slammed open and she stood there with tears in her eyes. She ran towards Alec and hugged her brother tight. Alec winced in pain as her body slammed to his chest. She quickly apologized and inspected the injury. "Are you okay? What happened?"

She looked between Alec and Magnus. they were looking at each other and Izzy knew right then they are hiding something and she demanded to know. "Nothing Izz, its over now." Alec said stroking her arm up and down as she sat on the bed beside him. "Bullshit Alec! Don't fucking lie to me! I'm not a kid I can handle the truth." Alec shot her a glare and she looked down muttering her words. Izzy can't deny she is scared if Alec being a big brother when he glared at her like that. "S-Sorry. Please Alec don't hide things from me. Don't I deserved to know the truth." Alec sighed leaning his head back. Magnus kept himself quiet as he doesn't want to interfere with these siblings.

"Izz, its okay. I just mistakenly take my medication. Everything is okay now. They are gonna let me go today but I will stay at Magnus for a while. Till everything cool down with dad." He said with a small smile curved on his lips. She gasped after heard what Alec said. "Alec, you promised." Alec clenched her hand tight and nodded. "I know, I'm sorry and it was an accident. Trust me it won't happen again. Can we talk about this later." He tried to avoid the stare from Magnus when he heard Izzy's words.

Izzy doesn't believe what Alec told her but she gonna let it sly for a while. Alec didn't want to tell Izzy exactly what happened cause he knew she will barged to Sebastian for justice. She would make a great lawyer one day but he couldn't risk getting himself into trouble with Sebastian.

Later that noon Jack and Mary came and they took Alec home with them. To Alec's luck, he wasn't in a hospital new their town, otherwise people would have told his dad what happened. Izzy followed to Magnus' house and she brought with her some of Alec's clothes. As they reached the house Magnus helped Alec to the living room. He rested and he couldn't keep his eyes open. The medication the hospital gave him is so strong and it makes him sleepy all the time. Magnus saw how he tried to keep himself awake. "Come on, lets get you to bed." He pulled Alec up but he pushed it back. "Are you crazy its still daylight out. I won't be able to sleep tonight."

Magnus sighed pinching his nose. He knew he was the most childish in this house but with Alec he admit sometimes he had to be the grown up. Jack and Mary was watching with amusement as they witnessed their son changed from being a boy to being a man. Izzy on the other hand was agreeing to Magnus. She had her arm crossed to her chest.

"Alec you have to rest. Come on." He pulled again but Alec pull him down to the couch and they sat side by side to each other. Jack came after placing drinks on the coffee table in front of them. Alec sat up fixing himself. "Mr Bane, I won't stay here for free. I was serious when I said I want to work with you for the rest of the break. Can I?"

Jack looked at Mary and Magnus before he looked at Alec. He rubbed his temple deciding what to do. He is working as a chef and he is the owner of the restaurant. Alec loves cooking and he is very good at it. Jack restaurant is the highest paid in their town. Even critics from New York like it there. He was a head chef in one of the biggest hotel in New York before he settled down and opened his restaurant. "I guess I could hire you as my apprentice. You start when you able."

Alec smiled happily and hugged Magnus in excitement. Magnus on the other hand hated cooking and he isn't exactly happy on Alec working during their break. But for Alec sake he pulled a strong smile and happy for him.

Izzy stayed for dinner before she went home. She hugged her brother and promised to come everyday to visit. They were both standing outside by Izzy's car - well Alec's car. "Izz, promised me don't say another word to Magnus or dad. I'm begging you." Izzy sighed and she hated keeping secrets behind her parents. But she has too so that Alec would be safe from their father. "Only if you promised to tell me everything when all of this is over." Alec nodded and pulled his only sister for a hug. They enjoyed hugging each other for a while unaware Magnus was staring from inside the house.

"Its not polite to stare." Mary silently said but startled Magnus from behind. "Mum, stop sneaking on me." She shake her head and pulled Magnus shirt back to the kitchen. He sat on the stool by the island and Mary handed him a glass of water to calm down. "I feel like there's more to the story, I feel like Alec is hiding something from me." Magnus spoke while his eyes gazing on the glass he has on his hand. Mary leaned forward gripping her hand with his.

"Whatever it is, you should respect it. Alec will tell you when he's ready. Earned his trust, don't break it again." Magnus nodded agreeing to his mum. She was right, trust need to be earned and he has break Alec's trust so many time but he forgives him every time. He was lost in his thoughts when Alec walked in to the house.

"Hey, ready for bed?" He asked. Magnus nodded and they both headed upstairs. Alec was given a room next to Magnus. The guest room has been empty for years. There's nothing but a bed, a dresser and a cupboard for his clothes. Alec loves it, not like his own room but he appreciate Jack and Mary being such a great and kind person. Alec was wondering all the time whether this is only a dream and he afraid one day when he woke up all of this will disappear. He wasn't aware he's stared into the wall when Mary walked in. "Alec." She called but Alec didn't respond.

Mary walked closer and softly touched his shoulder, he was sitting on the bed and soon as he felt the touch he stood up in shocked. "Sorry, sorry I didn't mean to startled you. Is everything okay? Are you settled in?" She cupped his cheek calming him down. He released a breathe he didn't even notice he was holding. He nodded before wiping his eyes. He wasn't aware he had tears in them, he quickly turned away to grab his bag and put it under the bed.

"Are you sure everything is okay? You know you could always talk to me right. I know you miss your mum but I can call her to pay for a visit if you want." Alec looked up and his eyes were glistening. "Really? You would do that for me?" Alec went and hugged Mary. She knew Alec was missing his mum cause every son would. "Aww, group hug!" Magnus went and hugged both his mum and Alec but Mary shove him back. "You squishing me. I'm not a ham." She said and kept herself in Alec's arm. He smiled wiggling his thick eyebrow. "That's not fair, that is my place." Magnus pointed to Alec's arm and Mary hugged him tighter with a grin. "I'm claiming it mine for now on."

"That is not happening for anytime soon." He said and went out from Alec's room peeking his head. "Dad! Would you please get your wife away from my boyfriend!" He shouted. Alec can't help but laughed hysterically. Mary on the other hand pouting and glared at her son. Soon Jack walked into the room and saw Mary and Alec embracing each other while Magnus on the corner pouting. "What happened?" He asked innocently.

"Get your wife out so I can kiss my boyfriend proper goodnight." Jack looked at Mary and back at Magnus before he also laughed. "Aww Mags, are you jealous?" He grabbed Magnus shoulder but he shoved it away. "Dad, please. To mum? No way." Jack shake his head and hold out his hand for Mary. "Come on babe, lets leave this grumpy old boy." Magnus gasped, "Hey! I'm not a grumpy old boy!" He stomped his feet like a child. Alec was rather enjoying the other side of his boyfriend.

"I think I like being in Alec's arm. He so tall and muscular." Mary wrapped her arm around Alec's waist and Magnus could see Alec bit his lips holding his laughed.

"No you're not woman, you're mine and only mine." Jack pulled Mary away from Alec and lifted her small petite body on his shoulder. She screamed when Jack took her away from Alec and headed to their bedroom. Magnus laughed and joined Alec for a hug, wrapping his arm around Alec's neck while Alec wrapped his around Magnus waist.

"Finally, my best place in the whole world." He smiled before Alec leaned for a kiss. They pulled away resting their forehead onto each other. "I like your parents, they are so happy together. can't remember the last time my parents show affection to each other." Magnus could see Alec gaze suddenly turned down on the floor. He lifted Alec's chin locking their eye contact to each other.

"Alexander, you are not your parent. Don't blame yourself for what happened to them." Alec couldn't hold back his tears, he blinked and tears rolled down his cheek. Magnus hated when Alec cried. He lifted his hand to wipe Alec's tear, he let his palm rested on Alec's cheek. He kissed it gently and gripped it with his. "I wish things were different, I hate hiding in the dark." He sighed and Magnus looked deep into his eyes.

"You won't. I don't regret it. If things were different, I wouldn't have met you." Alec looked into Magnus' eyes and crashed their lips together. After a while, they pulled from each other. Magnus let him rested for the night as tomorrow is gonna be a new day for both of them.
