As weeks go by, Magnus and Alec was the hot topic in school. The newest couple and not too mention the pastor son who could not abide his father rules. Most of the time Alec would spend at Magnus house and he loves it there. It was peaceful and harmony surrounded by love and compassion, more than what he felt when he was at church which his father forced him to go or at home.

As their last period was about to end the teacher mentioned about the field trip that their class was about to have this particular weekend. Alec was all up and excited by it but when he looks at Magnus he was graced with rather a worried look which confuses him. He didn't say a word till they reached to Magnus' house and Alec was already impatient on waiting for his explanation.

"Magnus, what the hell is going on? What are you hiding from me? Did I do something wrong?" He asked but his tones was a bit annoyed and furious compared to the previous hour he asked. Magnus sighed  shaking his head as he throw his bag in his living room and sat on the couch with his hand running through his hair. "You shouldn't go Alexander, what if you got sick again. I would never forgive myself if anything to happen to you." Alec sighed as he sat himself beside him. He wrapped his hand on Magnus' shoulder rubbing it gently. They both locked eyes gazing upon each other.

"I'm sorry, but you have nothing to worry about, I'm fine. That happens weeks ago, I'm all better, fresh as daisies." Alec smiled which also made Magnus smiled but he wasn't expecting to get soft that easily. Damn he wish he was stronger not to fall for Alec's charm. "Alexander, its somewhere in the country and its middle of November, if you got sick, it will be a nightmare to get you to the hospital." Alec shifted himself closer to Magnus but instead of sitting side to side now they are sitting front to each other. Magnus still has his gaze towards his hand which he fondle with Alec's.

"I promised we look after each other, plus its the end of the school year and I want to spend it more with you." Magnus smirk at Alec's idea. "Aren't you bored spending time with me?" Now it was Alec's turned to smirk, "On second thought, I am. You couldn't get enough of me Bane, its starts to get boring." Magnus gasped and fake hurt hearing Alec's words but later was greeted with Alec's wonderful laugh. "I'm kidding, I would never get bored of you. I will always want you by my side till the day I die. Have faith in me, in us and we will get through this together."

 Alec was caressing Magnus' cheek with his hands and Magnus leans to his touch. Later Alec leans in and kissed him on his lips softly with one long breathes. They pulls apart and rested on each other's forehead before Alec continues. "Have faith in us, hope for our better life in the future and never stop loving me Bane cause I will never stop loving you." (A/N: my thoughts on how the title starts in the first place. thought you guys should know.)

Magnus stares at Alec's hazel eyes with his glossy eyes, a smile formed on his lips curved to his cheek. "I never knew my boyfriend is such a poet." Alec laughed before they sealed with another kiss pulling him on his lap. They were so lost in their own world before somebody clears their throat behind them. "Boys I thought I told you to keep it PG-13." It was Mary back from the grocery store with couple of paper bag on her side. Alec jumped as he saw her and grabbed the bag from her hands headed towards the kitchen.

Magnus got off the couch and went to his mum planting a kiss on her cheek. "He's a keeper, never let him go." Mary whispered to his ears which he nodded weakly. He knew his mum heard every words. They all enjoyed spending time together making dinner and after Jack came home from work, they all sat down and laughs filled their home. But all good things must come to an end for Alec have to head home which in heavy heart he wish he didn't have too.

As Alec entered his house he saw the porch light was on, he sighed before turning the door knob to enter. As he closed the door behind him, he was greeted with his father from the living room holding a bible in his hand. "Where have you been?" He asked in rather unpleasant tone. "Magnus" he mumbled before headed upstairs but was stopped by his father yelled. He looked up and saw Izzy by the top of the stairs looking down at him with a worried look. She knew this is going to turn bad.

As Alec turned and face his father, he wish he was the son he always wanted. He wish he was born to love the opposite sex instead falling in love with a guy. He was lost in his thoughts when he saw his mother came out from the kitchen in between him and his father. "Robert, please." She tried to calm her husband but only to be shrugged off from his side.

"I told you not to see that boy again." He asked which earned Alec an eye rolled. "And what makes you think I would listen to you. I have listen to you enough all my life, I obeyed every rule but I was never enough at your eyes. For once, dad, be the father I needed, not treat me like what your father did." And with that Alec felt a sting pain on his face. Robert slapped him hard on his face and red flushed appears on his pale skin.

"How dare you speak of him, you ungrateful brat! I took care of you, feed you, sheltered you with a roof on top of your head and you treated me like some outsider! I am still your father Alexander and you can never disobey me!"

Alec smirk hearing the words which cause Robert to be more furious at his behavior.

"Yes dad, you gave me all of that. But have you ever think for once that I don't need all of that but only your love and compassion? I just need you to show me how proud you are of me, how you would say you love me like any father would to their son? I just want you to accept me for who I am. I can't changed what I am, believe me, I tried! I tried so hard that I start to lose myself. I start to have thoughts of killing myself and believe the world is better without me in it. But I can't do that just to see how upset mum and Izzy would get. Being around Magnus' family made me feel how I am so grateful what I have in my life. They showed me how to forgive people who hurt me and maybe someday you would see it too."

"Its a crime to fell in love with a same gender Alec! its forbidden!" He added. Alec gazed turned to fury as he heard the word crime and forbidden came from his father's mouth. "Its a crime when you aborted a baby out of mercy! Its a crime when you kill people, when you take drugs! Its a crime when you had an adultery while leaving your wife and kids at home suffering for your presence! Don't tell me what's crime since you are committing a sin yourselves. The only crime I did here was falling in love, I didn't go and fucked around in a gang bang father! How hard it is for you to accept it?"

Alec knew he crossed the line when he mentioned the disgusting act his father pulls all this time but he had it. He couldn't keep to himself anymore. "Accept? You cant even accept yourself being a guy how can you expect me to accept you? You're just a confused kid Alexander. When the time comes, you will be crawling on your hands and knees begging for my forgiveness." Robert had a smug look on his face thinking Alec would do that one day.

"Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God. Isn't that what it says in that holy book of yours? Its not my fault I became like this, certainly it wasn't mum or you but learn to accept it. Don't worry about me being on my hands and knees father, the only day I would do that is the day I have Magnus' cock in me!"

He turned his face, he heard his father cursing behind him and his mother was there to stop him from the argument gets more heated. So he left and headed upstairs slamming the door behind him.

He couldn't remember the last time he cried himself to sleep but tonight was worst. He felt his heart shattered to pieces. He felt he want to pack his things and left the house but the look on his mother's and sister's face makes him stay.

To Alec's luck the next day is no longer a school day. He woke up with a soaring headache and with no help the light shine through the window and straight to his eyes. He groaned and placed a pillow on top of his head trying to go back to sleep. Not until he was disturbed by his phone buzzing somewhere in the room. He crawled out of the bed trying to look for his phone and when he got to it, it stop buzzing.

All from Magnus.

As he was about to open and read all those messages and hear the voicemail another calls come in and it was none other than Magnus.

M: Alexander Gideon Lightwood! Where the fuck have you been!? You promised me you would call me soon as you come home yesterday. Explained yourself!"

Alec was shocked by his tone and never he would know how worried Magnus towards him. He really do love him, he thought. He was again zoned out and lost in his thought when he heard Magnus shouted again.

M: Alec!

A: Yeah, sorry, I just woke up. Give me some time to process cause your yelling won't help.

He heard Magnus sighed on the other end and silence haunts the moment.

M: Sorry, you have no idea how worried I am Alec. Where are you? Are you okay?

A: I'm at home. Can we meet?

M: Sure, where?

A: The bridge. Now, I'll wait for you there.

As Magnus was about to said something else Alec hang up. He felt disappointed and mad at the same time but he knows there must be a reason for all of this. So he gather up his things and told his parents he head out heading to his car and drove off.

As Alec ended the call, he felt guilty. He didn't meant to end it like that and he promised himself he would apologized later. He got up and brushed his teeth before he head out. To his luck his father was not at home and so was his mum. Izzy on the other hand was out again which another thing he will asked her later. 

A/N: Being depressive and suicidal is hard especially when you felt the whole world against you. I admired those who stands up for themselves doesn't matter their race, their gender or their sexualities. How I wish the world doesn't filled with such hate that to hear such words. What Robert said to Alec is actually a life event which I experienced myself. How people kept focusing on the matter outside but ignores the elephant in the room.
