Being Daniel's girlfriend required constant phone calls at night about things we had seen during the day. I still shared my impressions about the big city with him, and he confessed what pleasure he experienced to be with me.

From time to time he turned into another person, asking me more than a thousand times whether I was really happy to be his girlfriend. Daniel was afraid he had done everything too fast and he asked if I felt sorry for such a quick decision.

That time he did the same, and I told that I simply worried about Eva.

"She will be fine," he assumed. I answered that I wanted to believe it.

Daniel was glad to show me the sights of the city that he considered to be the most beautiful ones. I enjoyed long walks under the moon light when there were no people, and everything was full of romantic atmosphere somewhere on the roof of a skyscraper.

We liked to discuss the things we loved most and find the opportunity to spend more time together. That evening when Daniel was sharing his ideas about some music styles with me, I heard the sound of my phone, which meant I had received an e-mail. Daniel was asked to wait for a while. I opened my messages and saw Eva's letter.

"We need to meet in town. ASAP."

It frightened me. Eva wouldn't write messages like that if that weren't so serious. But when she did, I had to count it as a 'sos' signal from her.

Daniel understood my worries and advised me to go to the town not only to talk to her, but it would be also amazing for me to see mom. Besides, the warden of the university mentioned some documents from college which would be necessary for my application. It was an additional reason to come back. Daniel repeated the phrase that there was no place like home. I checked the flights in order to return to the town and I found the one that could be appropriate. My message back was that I was almost on my way to her. Eva didn't send anything back.

I claimed it was Eric's fault again, but I told myself not to judge in order not to be judged. Daniel came to me to help me pack the most important things for a few days without him and took a taxi. He was with me until I got on board the plane. I said a prayer for Eva and called my mom I was on the way home.
