RanbirAliaKiShaadi - VI

Have you watched Brahmastra? Please go and watch if you haven't! IT'S AN UNMISSABLE  BIG-SCREEN EXPERIENCE! I've been once and I can tell you how humongous it is!~ More about that in my Notes below :)

I know I shouldn't be taking too long to end this series. Life, as you know, makes you flow through various channels. I barely get time to hop on to this app anymore. I don't remember the last book I read here! It's been a come-and-update-my-book thing for quite some time.

Anyways I plan to end the series here. Their reception part will come when I get the inspiration to do so. So yeah, let's wrap it up.

| Alia's POV |

"Say Hi to my wife everyone"

I faced our fifty-something guests huddled together in our sprawling apartment living room, where we decided to tie the knot. Ranbir was moved post the jaimala, shedding tears and couldn't stop believing this day has come. He kept looking at me with glossy eyes. Not ready to accept all of this was finally happening.

After declaring me his wife already after jaimala, our friends and family cheered and clapped along. They directed us back to our seats for the main ceremony. Ranbir was particular about the whole ritual. He was traditional to my friend's surprise. He intently listened to every chant the pandit spoke, asking questions in between to clear his doubts!

"Itne dhyaan se maine shaadi ki hoti toh aaj zindagi bohot alag hoti," Randhir Kapoor made a funny remark.

I meanwhile had my mind elsewhere. The sun was about to set. We were having an afternoon wedding, thus the movement of the sun becomes an integral point of the wedding rituals. I wanted my perfect sunset shot with my husband (I mean in few more minutes) but he was just dragging the whole thing.

"Ranbir" I kept nudging his thigh for some response. He knew what I was doing but still continued with his obedient composure. Whereas everyone lese caught a miff of my action. "Bhai jaldi karo kaunsa phd lena hai shaadi mein! Chalte chalte seekh lena..ek din mein koi expert nahi ho jaata." I loved Bharat for making the point clear.

It was time for us to make the seven vows around the precious fire.

Fire reminded us of Brahmastra. Ranbir's character had powers of fire, AgniAstra! It was all linked and meant to be from the beginning.

"Dulha is agni himself so sakshi (witness) maangke chakkar lagane ki zaroorat nahi. Alia tu Ranbir ke chakkar laga." Ayan the Brahmastra creator had to inject his mandatory Brahmastra talks in our wedding too! We laughed and took up our places. I took the lead first and then him.

Flower petals weren't going to die. Our friends enthusiastically cheered us as we completed our vows around the fire. With each step I felt more closer to him as a partner, as his wife. He became my permanent reality, a name engraved next to mine in papers and in heart.

Now it was time for the final step, the mangalsutra and sindoor time.

Ranbir had already created quite a happy chaos at my side with his over extravaganza purchase of a big af diamond ring that was bigger than my whole hand! It had a big shining stone in the middle surrounded by eight smaller diamonds around it. It bore the engravement - MRS. HIPSTER, each letter stands for one relationship philosophy, our secret vow to each other.

That and our wedding golden/diamond band was way enough for me but Mr Kapoor didn't stop! He had to load in more bling and glitz for his missus. He and I are maniacally obsessed with the Number 8 which by now is a universal fact. Thus, my boy bought me a solid No 8, infinity when vertically placed, customized mangalsutra. My own kaleeras were all customized into cute infinity symbols, clouds, birds and hearts.

When he tied the beautiful infinity necklace which stands as a symbol of our togetherness on my neck, I nearly cried. It was a surreal moment. Then it was time for the last ritual, him to fill my hair parting with vermillion.

I had seen this moment in movies, wore it for some ads but to experience it in real is an altogether magical moment. He looked at me with his eyes, asking for permission. I gave in, I mean what else am I supposed to do. Run away? Not that he would let me :p

When he began filling my maang, I was supposed to cry but a weird sense of peace descended upon me and I felt safe. I knew I was his and he mine, from the day we sat next to each other on that fateful Tel Aviv flight. It was as clear as a day that we would get together. We just needed a slight nudge and that was Brahmastra for us. With it, everything fell into place.

Him and I, our love storiyaan. Like how it should have always been. Together with each other.

I smiled into the moment and gladfully the camera lenses could capture my joy as it is. Ranbir on the other hand looked more emotional than me. He, Ayan, Karan, my parents and friends were all somber. They were on the sensitive scale while I had a blast because hey, my best boy just became mine forever and we were soon going to be parents (a secret for now)...what more could I have asked for? I left all the crying for Ranbir!

For once he should know how I feel everyday being the extra sensitive but expressive person that I am while he is me only but more closed about those parts.

It didn't hit me that we were like married married until we headed towards our terrace for couple photoshoot post wedding. News of our marriage had travelled far and wide. Everyone knew we had become MR and MRS. Congratulations flooded in through news medium, television channels (broadcasted our wedding for weeks) and the media mob parked outside our gates for one glimpse. Loud beat of dhols mixed with joyous uproar from the scene outside made my heart pound.

That is when it hit me. I was married to my best friend. But on the other hand ours was the biggest wedding news of the decade. Two big superstars, hailing from affluential movie families. Heir of the Kapoor clan, Bollywood's first royal line, had married me. Whereas in another context Bollywood's biggest superstar aka me had married Ranbir! This was a battle of titles, honors and positions. Two triumphing heads, one wedding.

Fans had yet another set of disbeliefs regarding our wedding. Their biggest heart-throb was no longer single! Some couldn't believe Ranbir Kapoor settled for real! My fans were in shock with how I got married before clocking 30! They were in for much bigger shock with our pregnancy announcement soon. My head swirled with all these thoughts but my husband had other plans.

We were on our terrace while our styling team followed us with the group of professional pho-videographers who were assigned with the job to capture us in the best way possible. We chose House on Clouds for their intimate yet stunning work. We were asked to pose in various styles. Dangling in arms, smiling at each other, kissing forehead, on lips, on cheeks. Half shots, wide full shots, royal intimidating look, happy cheerful expressions, everything.

Ranbir had his one arm around my shoulder in between breaks and kept talking to me nonchalantly. Like if he stopped talking, the world would disappear along with me and that today would become mere dream! His nonstop chatter made my stylists grin. Then out of the blue when no one was looking, right under that blazing sun and maple leaves, he leaned forward from behind to peck my cheeks.

It was a soft private moment between us. I resolved to setting my hair as soon as it happened. My blush stained natural cheeks wouldn't stop glowing. In the middle of our fairytale, we spotted drones prying at us from the air! Things had gone out of hand, tad bit wild but I understood where they came from. It was their job to get the best shots and bytes of us.

After a whirlwind time post the photoshoot, we came down to change into more comfier traditional clothes. We chose red this time since the wedding trousseau was ivory, an unconventional choice. Traditionally red is the major color in hindu weddings, the symbol of love, passion, marriage and fire.

I tied my hair into a pony and decided to chill with my friends and my husband over numerous drinks. We danced to our blockbuster numbers including Radha (joined by karan), badtameez dil, Ranbir and I had our sensual duet number on various hit tracks including chaiyya chaiyya, a track he was fond of and knew all the moves by heart, beating me with that devilish smirk!

As soon as the moon came down to meet us, we decided it was time to go down and meet the crowd of fans and media members, patiently waiting for hours to get our glimpse.

Ranbir and I walked into their midst with the accompany of loud drums and thrill beats.

We stood outside the gates of Vastu, our home, posing for the cameras, waving at our fans who cheered for us as loudly as possible. This was THE MOMENT for me. When all our eyes were on us. News flashed images of us live from our gates. The whole world was looking. But we had eyes only at each other.

I bowed multiple times to show my reverence, overwhelmed at the outpour of blessings.

Before we left, Ranbir did the unthinkable.

He picked me up in his arms to mine and the crowd's delight. With a happy nod, Ranbir took his dulhaniya away, the filmi style. I had landed myself a filmi hero and the prince of my dreams made me the happiest woman on earth.

Fairytales are real, believe in them and you shall receive.

NOTE : Happy 40th birthday to our Ranbirrrrr! MY BABY BOO <3

I started my draft around Brahmastra and it's releasing on 28th! Ik there isn't much in this chapter but I just wanted to give this series an end + make it possible by today itself and not delve much into rituals etc coz I have already done it in a fiction wedding series in this same book.

THE WEDDING SERIES (ongoing) is over! I might put up the reception part upon some inspiration. But this is the end to this series.

I can finally put up my other scenarios as and when it hits me. But honestly I still cannot believe my babies got married and are expecting their BABY ...! This feeling will never settle. The video in the media section made me so so nostalgic. I think theis year will forever stay my fav, dreamy year. Where dreams came true.

Brahmastra is still successfully running in the theatres. Y'all should watch it at least once! Do not give it a miss. It's meant to be enjoyed on a big-screen. So far we've collected 200+cr domestic and 300/400 gross ww! Excited for the next two parts. I will be conducting a proper discussion on the movie in my fanpage story so stay tuned.

With Ranbir's birthday, I am closer to my resignation from fan world. This has always been the plan and I once left too but had to come owing ot the wedding rumors in 2021! This year I feel they knew I had to concentrate on my life pretty soon and thus ended up giving me everything, movies, brahmastra, wedding and a baby soon! I MEAN I'M SO LUCKY ^.^

Most probably from 2023 I won't be much active on twitter/instagram (fanpage acc) and here. I might drop in during baby posts or some exciting content. Next year us crucial to my career and I'm standing on crossroads rn. Need to focus completely on that track and not think about ranbir alia 24*7 !

Anyways so glad to have shared all the good things from aloobir with y'all. It's been a blissful year on that front. Now waiting for our lil prince/princess to arriveeee.

Love and blessings to my Rana and Aloo,

Jemi :)
