Our Princess is Here!

Your read it right....our princess is hereee! Landed on 6th of Nov, 2022 <3

I'm still reeling from this shock and thought maybe I could pour down my thoughts based on what we know from few bytes and articles and my own imagination of what could have happened leading up to her birth :)

Please continue to pray and bless our little baby and her parents. I hope they can come home soon and safe.

She rubbed her tummy in slow circles.

Their lil one was growing impatient with each day, as were they. She wanted to come sooner. They knew it's a 'she' and were nurturing the secret for a while now. Ranbir's manifestation had come true. They were going to be blessed with a baby girl, a mini Alia.

"I spoke to the doctor. She said it's normal during final stages of pregnancy." Ranbir sighed next to her in his waiting room outside the doctor's cubicle. This was their routine for a week. Alia has been suffering mild to strong contractions which almost gave them a panic attack thinking she was going into labor. But the doctors call it false labor contractions, normal for expecting delivery moms.

With a deep sigh they stand up to leave the hospital yet again with hope that they could see their child come out sooner. While on their way, Alia's silent as Ranbir talks to his mom over the phone. "Haan maan sab theek hai. False contractions. yeah. She's fine. Abhi pain kam hai. I'll inform you guys if anything's critical. Okay maa, keep praying. Love you. Take care."

"I'm tired Rana." He heard his wife whisper next to him. She rested her head on his giant shoulders and closed her eyes in defeat. The wait seemed like forever. When would their baby come? Why do they have to wait so much? The pain throbbed over her temples. She just had to stay a little more patient and calm for her and their baby's sake.

"I know but I also know our boo boo is pretty close. She knows her mumma and dadda can't go in and out of hospital anymore. Dekhna she's gonna come tomorrow, I can feel it." She smiled at his optimism. Ever since she shared the joy of her pregnancy with Ranbir he's been nothing short of a dream come true. His positivity and happy thoughts kept her sane. Alia could only pray their daughter received her dad's positive vibe.

A long nap later Alia found herself surrounded by her pets. The mastiffs were all warned and trained to not jump or attack Alia like before. They kept their distance most of the time and would wag tail at her expecting few kisses. Edward was the king of 'I don't listen to peasants.' He was Alia's first born king, her baby. He did as he felt. Wagging his big bulky white tail, he sat next to his mom looking at her face with expectation.

Alia smiled at them. They were her children, her babies. And it filled her heart to know they will get to play with her daughter once she grows. Their home will get filled with laughter and play.

She tossed and turned in her bed. Sleep was far from her mind. The whole day she kept feeling irritation in her body but yesterday night it peaked. Alia tried to remain as quiet as possible to not wake Ranbir. He was quietly snoring besides her. But when the pain became unbearable, she whimpered. It woke Ranbir in a hurry. He trained himself to hear her even in his deepest sleep routine ever since they found she was carrying.

"Is it too bad?" he asked in fear. She nodded gritting her teeth, tears falling down her cheeks. That was all he needed to hear for him to jump out of bed and phone their doctor at HN Reliance. This was it he knew. Their baby was closer. The doctor advised him to admit her right in the morning. Ranbir started moving. He was too thrilled but also scared. Alia was in pain but the moment she heard she was going to be admitted, she smiled.

With the help of their house servants, Ranbir packed everything necessary to be taken with them. Alia got ready and stood next to him in their hall. Their pets followed them with anticipation. Ranbir smiled and knelt for them. "Don't fight okay? Be good for me. Your little sister is on her way. We'll bring her soon. Wait for us." They kissed all three of them with affection and left.

It was around seven in the morning when their car left Vastu for the hospital. Both the mothers were informed about the new twist. They were excited and hopped on to their respective cars as well. Riddhima and some other family members were in Monaco to attend a high profile wedding (relatives of Jains). She was also informed by her brother. Through video call the Sahni's wished them luck and good health. Sam wanted to meet her little sibling as soon as possible. Alia promised her to video call as soon as the baby would land.

The roads leading up to the hospital looked busy for such a morning. Media were already parked outside the gates, as they got the sniff. Alia tried to look calm and not give them much attention. It was their pay job. Her full focus was on delivering their baby, hopefully today.

As soon as they entered the hospital, nurses and doctors flurried around. They were fully prepared for the VIPs. Post this delivery, their VIP delivery ward will become a star highlight. Even the staff wished for a healthy and safe delivery. Alia arrived at their VIP suite and was asked to rest before they ran necessary tests on her.

Ranbir settled on a couch after filling few forms and informing some of his friends about the new update in their lives. Within less than an hour family members came. Neetu ji walked in with the brightest smile on her face. She was followed by Soni ji and Shaheen. The mothers swarmed next to Alia and made sure to give her useful tips while she dealt with the emotions leading up her child's delivery.

Doctors kept sliding in and out for regular interval check. Once they found she started fluid discharge, they knew it was time. Ranbir wanted to stay with her inside the labor room. He was adamant about it although Alia considered not wanting him to see her in that situation. "I am coming with you, that's it." He held her hand and looked at her with determination. There was nothing to b afraid. She's a fighter and so was their baby. He was going to witness the most beautiful moment of their lives.

Alia is wheeled inside the labor room but before that she is hugged and kissed by her mothers and sister. They ask her to stay calm and wait for their miracle baby. Their prayers assured her as she entered the labor room with hopes and silent prayers.

Ranbir wore his scrubs and masks keeping in line with the regulations of the hospital. He was reminded of the last time he entered this way into an ICU, but of his ailing father's! That was a drastic image still punctured into his soul but today was not the day to remember that. Today is their joyful day. And he wanted only good happy memories to remain of this afternoon with him.

The doors to the room closed and a thick air of suspense filled the space.

Alia closed her eyes and prayed like she's never prayed. This was her strongest battle yet and she was going to fight her way, so would her baby. They wouldn't give up on each other. Ranbir stroked her hair softly and kissed her temple. He wanted to remind her of their love and of the magical days ahead of them with their child.

After a stressful hour had passed, she was asked to push. And it took everything out of her to do as per direction. She was sweating badly. Her eyes were droopy already. Ranbir looked between his wife and the monitors and the doctors administering her. They spotted the baby's crown but all they needed was one big push that could help her enter the new world.

But that was the hardest part.

She couldn't breathe nor sustain the energy for this task. Her arms went flat. Ranbir started getting worried. He encouraged her with his sweet words, that she could do it. Alia tried to smile and with all she had, she gave one last push. And there came out their little princess.

The whole room erupted with magnanimous joy as she came out with the loudest cry in the hospital! Their baby girl had safely arrived!

Ranbir had already put up cameras to capture the moment with the permission from the officials. He and his wife were awestruck at their new wonder. They could not take their eyes off her. She was wailing but was the most red looking pinkish baby they've ever seen.

She cried and kicked. And cried more.

After quickly cleaning her up, the nurses took the child to meet her mother.

Alia who watched everything with salty blur, held her baby to her chest for the first time. And in a moment that she could never ever be able to explain or put words into, she felt a sense of peace wash over her. She just delivered a healthy baby! A beautiful big crying but gorgeous baby girl. Her first born, their first love. She became a mother!

Oh what a feeling it was!

The mother nursed her child with extreme care and delight. The crying girl paused from her angry protest for a second to understand the new warmth that seeped through her from a human she would now call her mom. She looked at her with absolute curiosity. Who was she? Was is she looking at me with so much love and joy?

The baby and mother stared at each other while the father looked at them with admiration. There he had everything he ever wanted. A beautiful family. His wife and his baby. All safe and happy. And much in love.

Alia stroked her silky long hair and pressed the most gentlest kiss on her tiny forehead.

"Hi my love! Welcome to the world. I love you so much mera baccha. Your so so so loved. Thank you for coming safely to us. You've got all of us in a chokehold. Does she look like me?" she turned towards her husband who looked at his tear brimmed face. He was pretty close to breaking down but kept staring at their bundle of joy. It was all new and weird for them but so overwhelmingly beautiful.

"She does. Meri choti Alia." He spoke for the first time. Hands coming up to hold her tiny fingers. "Come, hold her." He sat quickly next to her waiting for his chance to hold. This was going to be a groundbreaking moment as first timer parents. Their first hold. Their so many firsts were about to come one by one. Each with a new lesson, a new beginning.

As soon as they transferred their pudding into his giant arms, the baby looked even more smaller and tinier in frame. Ranbir choked at how good she felt in his arm. Her face moved into a deep sigh and she blinked few times to adjust to the new person she would call her dad. Her tiny arms fisted up in the air and then dropped to meet her dad's big hands, enveloping hers.

In that particular moment he wept.

He's never in front of anyone. But today he wept. She was his dream come true. His miracle. All of his prayers answered. Alia broke into her own as she closely held him. This was their private moment. A day they had dreamt of for so long.

"She's so tiny Alia....kitni choti hai. And so soft. I don't think I deserve to hold her even."

Ranbir spoke between soft sobs. He couldn't believe he gets to call her his own! Every time he held a newborn, he had to give them back to the parents. But today and forever, this child was his and Alia's. He could take her home and play with her, watch her grow and prosper. That feeling hit him like a rugged wind howling over his heart.

"She's the most beautiful baby in the world. No one's like my princess." He declared with pride.

Alia agreed with a breathtaking smile. "After all I'm her mum."

Outside the ward, the parents smiled and congratulated each other. They had too many calls to be made. Soni called her husband and after a prolonged pause she whispered in between incoherent words, "she came." Her husband needed no other explanation. He himself felt his heart bloom with emotions. They had become grandparents.

Neetu meanwhile wanted to do the same but her husband was far away in the skies. She looked up at him through hooded tears and said, "Rishi congratulations! You've become a daada and I am a daadi now." She missed him terribly but he was there with them in presence.

Riddhima was right away called and as soon as they entered the room, the Monaco squad erupted into applause from their hotel room. The new bua and cousin sis showered the angel with love. They couldn't wait to join in for the celebrations back home.

The families giggled and played with their little member. She passed from one lap to another. But never cried. Just stared and stared. Few times here and there she smiled with her pudge cheeks. Alia and Ranbir were bursting with adoration. Their world looked complete.

From Alia's Instagram account, they announced it officially to the world.
