Hisui Prologue
Hisui x Cute! Small! Childish! Forgetful! Gravity Change Mage Reader.
(You of course don't look like a little kid, it's just that you're a bit short and you sometimes [most times] act like a child. Let's say you're about Levy's height.)
You look at all your surroundings in confusion. Nothing looked familiar to you. You knew you sometimes forgot things, but you never got lost because someone normally stayed with you so this wouldn't happen, except this time since everyone was so preoccupied with watching the games, no one paid you any mind when you said you would go to the toy store you saw earlier.
It wasn't a surprise to you when you couldn't find the store, but what was a surprise was the immediate fear you felt while looking around the (basically) empty streets. You started walking around, hoping to just somehow find yourself back at the stadium. You were mainly confused because it was so loud and yet, you couldn't pinpoint exactly where it was. You sigh as you think about how much trouble you'll get into for getting lost. The amount of times Erza has scolded you for just walking off because you got distracted by something you like.
She saw you as a precious little sister, and you saw her as a great big sister. Though you guys were both about the same age, your height and behavior did make you seem like a kid.
Soon after aimlessly walking around for forever (In your opinion), you decided the best thing to do would be to find the tallest thing, and climb it. You look up and immediately notice the big castle in the middle of the city. You smile and start to run towards it, you'll definitely be able to see the stadium from the roof of the castle.
You knock on the giant castle doors that loom over you. It only takes a few seconds before some knights come out and point their weapons at you, making you put your hands up.
"Halt, and state your business." The knights question and you blink, not responding. "State your business." They repeat, but you just blink again.
"Why are you here?" One of them sighs and asks making you let out a small, 'oooohh,' and the knights all collectively sigh.
"I'm a little bit lost and need to-" You start, but one of the knights holds their hand out and cuts you off mid-sentence.
"We can't help you with that. Please peacefully leave now." He says and you can feel a lump in your throat as your eyes water.
"B-but, I'm lost." You whimper out but the knight doesn't budge, he only points in the opposite direction.
Your eyes water more but at first only a few stray tears slip. You hate crying in front of people. You sometimes were teased for being such a baby before you joined fairytail, and you tried your best not to cry so people wouldn't call you that again, but in this case you knew it might help you. A lot of the time, men feel awkward when girls cry, you knew from the time Gray made you and Mira cry because he insulted you drawings and it made him panic. Erza made sure he apologized to both of you, but you honestly didn't even care about it the next day.
Since you came to the conclusion that it might help, you stopped holding back your tears and just starting crying. You know that men especially hated when little girls cried, so you were happy your appearance would actually help in this situation. You covered your face as you cried and you could hear the knights start to panic, and after a few seconds one of them cleared their throat.
"We'll let you talk to the princess." He said and you looked up and couldn't help but smile through your tears. "Follow us." He said and you nodded as you followed them inside the giant castle.
When they finally stopped walking, you were all in the throne room and you looked up to see a green haired girl sitting on a throne looking at you.
"Princess Hisui, this girl was outside the castle, claiming that she's lost, and started crying when we went to turn her away." One of the knights said slightly pushing you forward before he, and the other guards all took a few steps back and bowed.
"Who are you?"
"I'm (Y/N), and I'm lost, can you help me?" You ask and she furrows her eyebrows together.
"Okay, (Y/N), but why did you come here?" She asks.
"I came here hoping you'll let onto the roof so I can see where I am and find my way back, please." You said while giving her your best puppy eyes. You watched as her eyes and several of the soldiers eyes all widen at your suggestion. The princess quickly shakes her head.
"That's far to dangerous! I can't allow you to do that!" She quickly said, slightly taken off guard. You furrowed your eyebrows as you felt upset again, and couldn't help your pout.
"Well how else am I gonna see where I am!" You yell back at her taking a step forward and almost instantly you're being restrained by 2 knights holding your arms back, tightly, and you fear what they could do to you.
"We're sorry for wasting your time, your highness. We'll take her back outside." One of the knights holding you says and you tear up again, trying not to cry.
"You guys are so mean!" You whine out while being carried away but you see the princess stand.
"Stop! Leave her here, and let us talk." She said firmly and most of the knights nodded and didn't question her. One of them let go of you but the other tightened his grip, making you wince.
"Damion, leave us. You can stand guard outside if you wish, but I will hear her speak." The princess stated and the soldier only scowled and pushed you forward making you slightly stumble before leaving the room and closing the door. You turn to her confused as you wipe your eyes.
"Thank you.... Why are you willing to listen to me." You ask quietly, not looking up anymore. You can't help but worry, seeing as though you were just grabbed for slightly raising your voice at her because you were mad.
"Well, I can't just send you back out there while you're still lost. And I know it's probably hard to ask for directions since most people are at or watching the grand magic games." She says and you look up at her hopefully.
"Does that mean I can look from the roof!"
"No, that's still too dangerous." She says plainly and you deflate before you jump up and look at her excited again.
"Did you say the Grand Magic Games? That's where I need to go! My guild is participating!" You say excited and the princess looks at you in surprise.
"I didn't take you as a mage. What guild are you in?"
"I use gravity change magic, and I'm in Fairy Tail." You say proudly and she looks even more shocked, before she shows another, more neutral expression, but you don't think much of it. You we're more excited that she knew where you're guild was.
"Do you mind answering some questions?" She asked and you shrugged.
"Okay, long as you take me back to my guild afterwards." You say and the princess gives a slow nod, though you don't hear her mumble a small, "We'll see...." under her breath.
