Yuki's POV

I stared at Wendy, confused. I had expected her to be more flushed, ready to tell me anything that had happened during their study session in Romeo's room. The smile I wore hid all my intentions as she approached me innocently.

"Where were you Yuki?" Wendy pouted.

The bags underneath my eyes disappeared as her refreshing expression woke me up immediately.

"Sorry, I was gaming with your sister" I confessed cheerfully.

I glanced over Wendy's shoulder to see Romeo sneaking off to the classroom.

"Hey Wendy, did anything happen with Romeo yesterday?" I grinned.

Romeo suddenly tripped over himself and slammed his face onto the wall.

Wendy ran towards him and took out a teddy bear printed bandage and placed it underneath his bangs at the place he had hit.

"are you okay?" she smiled.

Romeo flushed red as Wendy unconsciously leaned forward confused.

"I-i'm fine" he turned away embarrassed as he got up and left to class.

Wendy, dejected from the sudden change of attitude left to the class as well. I on the other hand was very annoyed, annoyed that I didn't fully understand what was going on. I appeared before the muttering romeo, hiding my presence until he noticed me and when he did his expression changed to a blank expression.

"what did Wendy do at the study session yesterday?" I blurted.

"nothing, she did nothing but there were so many time she unconsciously got my hopes up" he sighed.

"well, Wendy's like that. There isn't anything you can do to stop her from being naive and innocent." I patted his back.

Romeo's expression turned weary as a gloomy aura surrounded him. Wendy quickly approached thinking the change in attitude was probably her fault, which is was.

She apologized briefly but sincere at heart, causing Romeo to smile at her reassuringly. Wendy smiled back cheerfully completely cleansing Romeo's negative thoughts and wished him good luck on the exams before leaving back to her chair to fidget and ponder about her actions to see if there was anything wrong with what she had did. After third wheeling for almost a year I have noticed these little things about them. I sat back at my seat and inhaled the air and smiled at Wendy happily before turning to face the kind teacher who was about to hand out our exams.

After the exams Me and Wendy had sighed in relief from the stress. I stared at the teacher who tried her best to celebrate despite the interruption of the groans that echoed throughout the room.

"Rest assured! we have about a week until summer break begins!" Mira clapped brightly.
