"Pleeeeease Mira Jane!" You plead with your hands tightly together in front of her. "For your besttttt friend."

"No.," she told you for the tenth time in this conversation thus far.

"I thought you loved me."' you huffed, shoulders sinking.

"Stop that." She said, turning to look out her window.

"I will," you said as you began to smirk to yourself. "I just wonder when you decided this friendship was over. I thought we were doing so well."

"You're being dramatic." she rolled her eyes in annoyance as she turned around to meet your stare again.

"Is it working?" you asked hopefully.

"No." Mira deadpanned. Hope crushed. This isn't over yet though.

"MIRAJANE PLEASE!" You say as you drop to your knees on the floor of her bedroom. "I'm going to do it either way. Please don't make me go alone."

"Do you how mad he is going to be if we get caught?!" she says grabbing at her hair.

"Let's not get caught then!" you smirk back.

"You think everything is so easy all the time." Eyes rolling again, but you can tell she's close to giving in.

"I said I was doing it, but I didn't say it would be easy! That's why I need the kind of support that only a best friend can give!" the most genuine expression on your face as you conclude your begging with that.

"Get up." She says with her arms crossed. Staring up at her with the best doe eyes you could muster, you wait for her to continue. "I said get up. Just know that if we get caught, I'm blaming you."

"Likewise." You smirk as you stand to dust yourself off.

"(Y/N)!" Mira yells in frustration.

"I'm kidding, sheesh. Lighten up. Live a little. You worry too much." you laugh out.

Your best friend let out a little laugh herself. "You don't worry enough."

And that is exactly how you ended up in your current situation with a very angry Laxus..

"I'm just here for emotional support!" Mira blurted out from behind you, holding your shoulders to shield herself with your frame.

"Emotional support in the form of a Satan Soul," you smirked towards to your best friend.

"She's kidding." she quickly replies with her eyes squinted and the most innocent smile.

"No, I'm not." you deadpanned.

"ENOUGH!" Laxus voice boomed loudly, causing the two of you to jump back a step. "Tell me why you're in my room!"

"Uninvited.." Freed adds, rolling his eyes.

"HER!" Mira blurts out without a second thought.

"So much for emotional support.." you mumble to yourself.

"I told you if we get caught it is your fault!" Mira says in her defense. Laxus is starting to spark at this point, clearly losing his patience."

"She's right. I made her come. Let her go." you say to Laxus, the guilt getting to you.

"I figured that much. Let Mira out." Laxus says to Freed and he steps aside. She shoots you an apologetic look as she heads out the open doorway. "Now spill it! What are you doing in my room!"

"I-I-I wanted to, uh, you see, I wanted to.." you stuttered out while you thought of anything else to say to him than what you were really up to. Luckily, no one had noticed Mira standing in the hallway still, but you did. "I wanted to play a tiny joke on you Laxus. Just a small one," you said stepping back with a small yelp as Laxus stepped towards you.

"You wanted to what?!" he yells out. Before he can continue he is cut off by Freed yelling.

"WHAT ON EARTH DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING MIRAJANE?!" he yells frantically, dodging the little swoops she is making at him in her Satan Soul form. This was just enough to also distract Laxus for a small moment. As soon as you heard Freed yell you jumped back out Laxus' window and began sprinting across the grounds. Lightning struck the ground not too far away from you, but you successfully were able to make it to a hiding spot near the forest, waiting for the person you valued the most to show up...

Wings flap down near you and you know you're fine to head back to the guild. "Thank you, Mira! I'm sorry we got caught just like you said we would."

"IF YOU EVER TRY THAT AGAIN!" she growls out still in her magical form as she grabs you by the neck.

"Mira, I-I'm sor-" you choke out and she lets go so you can catch your breath.

"I know." she smiles turning back into her normal, cheerful self. "Now let's head back to the guildhall."
