As the second Monarch of Shadows, he can extract the shadows of dead monsters or warriors and bring them back to live as his shadowy undead soldiers.

Abilities:

While some shadow soldiers have abilities unique to themselves, they all share the same set of basic powers.

Regeneration: Shadow soldiers possess incredible regenerative capabilities and cannot be killed by normal monsters, as they can completely regenerate even if their bodies are torn to shreds.

Conversation: Shadow soldiers who are at least General Grade are able to talk. However, they are only able to communicate in monster tongue, meaning that most humans can't understand them.

Growth: Shadow soldiers are able to steadily grow in power by killing monsters in battle.

Shadow Infiltration: At the Shadow Monarch's discretion, shadow soldiers are able to hide within the shadows of other humans. While doing so, they are able to watch and observe everything happening around the person that they are anchored to. They are also able to send signals to the Shadow Monarch in case the humans they are planted on are attacked, regardless of how large the distance is between them.

Transformation: A unique feature accessible to a master of the Authority over Death, shadow soldiers can be transformed into a weapon or any item to their master's whims. 

Ranks:

Shadows are categorized into different grades, which reflect their level of strength and work similarly to how do for hunters. While shadows can level up over time by killing their opponents in battle, they cannot advance to higher grades without authorization from the Shadow Monarch. Shadows extracted from particularly powerful beings can also start at a higher grade immediately after their creation.

Basic Grade : The lowest tier, these shadows are the weakest in the shadow army and can be as strong as E-rank and D-Rank Hunters.

Normal Grade : Shadows of this grade serve as foot soldiers in the shadow army and can be as strong as C-Rank Hunters.

Elite Grade : Shadows of this grade are the most common in the shadow army and are about as strong as B-Rank Hunters.

Knight Grade : Shadows of this grade are about as strong as A-Rank Hunters and can be given names by the Shadow Monarch.

Elite Knight Grade : Shadows of this grade are about as strong as basic S-Rank Hunters such as .

Commander/General Grade : Shadows of this grade are immensely powerful and are strong enough to contend with, and even overpower advanced S-Rank Hunters such as . They are also capable of speech.

Marshal/Commander Grade : This grade is the highest that a shadow can evolve to, making those who reach this level the most powerful soldiers in the shadow army.

Grand Marshal Grade : The ultimate rank, this grade is reserved for the strongest shadow in the entire shadow army. The shadow of this grade also serves as the lieutenant to the Shadow Monarch himself.

Igris (Knight, Rank: Marshal Grade)

Class: Knight

Race: Humanoid Shadow

Igris is the resurrected shadow of Blood-Red Commander Igris. Igris is one of the two Marshal Grade Shadows alongside Beru, who remains his equal in terms of power. Much like Bellion, Igris is a loyal knight who enjoys the thrill of battle. He is also well versed in the art of Chivalry, always kneeling before his master. Igris was the first named Shadow that Y/N had, and they two are very close.

Tank (Ice Bear, Rank: Elite Knight Grade)

Class: Beast

Race: Shadow Bear

Tank is the Shadow of The Alpha Ice Bear that Y/N encountered during The Red Gate Incident. As an animal, Tank behaves just as a bear would, using his class and sheer brute force to tear apart his enemies. However he does have a degree of intelligence, as he knows that Y/N is his master and he is capable of working with his pack of Shadow Bears as a group.

Iron (Human, Rank: Elite Knight Grade)

Class: Warrior

Race: Humanoid Shadow

Iron is the Shadow of the human, Kim Chul, who was killed by Igris after making an attempt on Y/N's life during the Red Gate Incident. Iron is the infamous as being the loose cannon of the Shadows, often going overboard in battle and earning irritation of Y/N, Bellion, and Igris. He does make up for his lack of intelligence but completing his missions and getting the job donewhen he is told too by his superiors.

Blades (Ice Elf, Rank: Elite Knight Grade) 

Class: Assassin 

Race: Shadow Elf 

Blades is the Shadow of Ice Elf, Baruka, who was killed by Iron during the Red Gate Incident. Blades is consider to be one of the fastest shadows on pair with Igris, even through Beru surpassed that attribute of speed. Blades exudes a cold, menacing aura, embodying the essence of a fearsome shadow warrior.

Tusk (Orc, Rank: General Grade) 

Class: Mage

Race: Shadow Orc

Tusk is the resurrected shadow of Kargalgan, who was killed by Y/N after rescuing a group of hunters from his dungeon. As a Shadow Mage, Tusk is a powerful and intelligent magic user, his specialty being inlarge scale battles. He's usually humble, but he can be a bit of ashowoff. Outside of battle, Tusk is usually analyzing magic artifacts, study magics of the word, such as Dragon Slayer Magic, or is practice magic with his companions.

Cerbie (Cerberus, Rank: Elite Knight Grade)

Class: Beast  

Race: Shadow  Cerberus

Cerbie is the Shadow of the Gatekeeper of the Demon Castle, Cerberus, who was killed and revived by Y/N. Cerbie serve as Y/N's guard-dog to protect his master. He also likes to play fetch like any dog would. 

Bigrock (Stone Golem, Rank: Elite Knight Grade) 

Class: Beast 

Race: Shadow Golem 

Bigrock is the shadow of the Blue Spirit Golem that was killed by Y/N after he defeated the boss of the Hapjeong Subway Station Dungeon. His strength is strong enough to destroy buildings with a singe punch, and he can fire a blue energy blast from his mouth. 

Kaisel (Wyvern, Rank: Elite Knight Grade) 

Class: Beast

Race: Shadow Dragon - Wyvern

Kaisel is the Shadow of the White Wyvern, Kaisellin which belonged to The White Flame Monarch, Baran. After it was killed, Y/N extracted its shadow and Kaisel became his source of speed and transportation during the times when he couldn't use Shadow Exchange.

Kaya (Ant Queen, Rank: General Grade) 

Class: Beast 

Race: Shadow Ant

Kaya is the Shadow of the Ant Queen that was killed by the S-Rank Hunters of Korea on the S-Rank Gate Raid on Jeju Island. She was revived by Y/N as the mother of Shadow Ants as she gratefully cares for her children. 

Beru (Ant King, Rank: Generał Grade) 

Class: Warrior 

Race: Shadow Ant

Beru is the Shadow of The Ant King who was defeated and resurrectedby Y/N. He is loyal to his master but extremely ruthless and bloodthirsty to his enemies, due to his nature. But given the circumstances he and his master face, Beru is currently in theprocess of learning to hold back his bloodlust. However, the loyalty he shows to Y/N is unquestionable.
