Prologue Part 1: The Weakest Hunter of Mankind
I've always wondered, what's the true meaning of life, when you've tried everything that you could? Despite how much you've tried, studied, and practiced. No matter what you do, your destiny is always be one thing and one thing alone....weak.
Being weak is one of the many things we hate about being human. In the human world, a certain boy could agree on this matter. No matter how many sports he tried in and how many techniques he was taught.
He was still utterly powerless...
Powerless to do anything for himself. His intelligence was vast but that was all he had other than his weak body. All he ever wanted...
Was to be strong.

The scene takes place at what appeared to be a look alive to a construction site that has a Gate.
A bunch of Hunters were at the construction site, among them was a middle-aged man with gray hair in a crew cut. He wore a blue blazer over a white collared shirt and jeans.
Worker: (gives him a drank) Best of luck to you and your crew on today's raid.
Sangshik: Thanks. (takes a sip off his drink)
???: Hey! What's up, Mr. Kim?!
Sangshik saw a chubby middle-aged man with curly black hair approaching towards him. He wore a green sweater over a black shirt, track pants, and sneakers.
Beom-Shik: Long time no see.
Sangshik: Now there's a face I wasn't expecting. Thought you said you had your fill of hunting Beom-Shik.
Beom-Shik: Hah. That was before baby number 2 was on the way.
Sangshik: A successful raid will defiantly score you a pretty nice mint for your new kid.
Beom-Shik: (sighs) I'm pretty nervous. It's been a while so you know I'm super rusty. I was always weak to begin with.
Just then, a small group of students from Sakurazaka Senior High had entered the construction. Among them, a raven-haired girl was present. One with dark eyes could be considered looking into the night sky itself. The aura of an esteemed and educated individual flows around her. Her look truly made her stand out. She wore the standard white school coat, shirt, skirt, stocking, and bow tie. This was one of, if not the most popular girl in Sakurazaka Senior High, Akane Nishino.
Her mare presence already brought attention to wherever she was going and her unique and kind personality made wonders for others.
To say that, as long as you remained close to her, attention was unavoidable. A person would never be considered a mob character if she were to interact with her.
With her are about five male students, one of them was the playboy type of young man with long blonde hair wrapped in a ponytail and bright orange eyes. He was wearing the male version of the school uniform. His name is Motoyasu Kitamura.
Motoyasu: Hehe, what do ya know? Forming a group and teaming up with the adults just for one assignment.
???: Yeah, it's just us hanging out like we usually do and writing it down.
The second was young man that has short black hair that spikes in all directions and sharp green eyes. He was Naofumi Iwatani.
Motoyasu: See? Naofumi gets it.
???: But still, I'm missing out on my after school club practice. Can't we just make up and do it another time?
This student Ren Amaki, he has black hair like Yuichi, but with blue eyes. He was one of the much more quieter students in the school as he was also the head captain of the school's kendo club.
???: Come on, Ren. It's part of the school's curriculum, we have to do it.
Ren: Tch, keep your thoughts to yourself, Itsuki.
The last male student was Itsuki Kawasami, he had short curly brown hair and dull golden eyes. He had a very strong sense of justice.
Beom-Shik: We're teaming up with kids?
Sangshik: It appears so. I heard some of them are ranked B Hunters.
Hunter 1: Huh? Is that a Y/N Sung I see with them?
Hunter 2: Yo, what's going on?
Hunter 3: You came out despite the cold, huh.
In the back of the group, a small young boy with short busy black hair that covered up his ears and blue eyes, he was very shorter with a thinner physique, along with long, a very boyish face. His attire, was a simple blue hoodie and jeans. It was also common to see him wearing bandages on his arms and legs due to the frequent injuries that he received on raids. This was Y/N Sung.
Y/N: (nervous smile) Yeah, nice to be working with you guys again.
Sangshik: Hey kid, have you eaten yet? Can't fight Magic Beasts running on fumes.
Y/N: Right. I did eat before I got here. Thanks.
Beom-Shik: What's with him? Why is everybody flagging him down? Is that kid like a big deal or something?
Sangshik: (chuckles) He's the exact opposite. Y/N joined up not long after you quit. Well...
They called him "The Weakest Hunter of all Mankind".
Beom-Shik: (surprised) Wait really? That's a thing?
Sangshik: It was once he got hospitalized after a trip through a E-Rank Gate. If that isn't weak then I don't know what is.
Beom-Shik: It's hard to picture someone being bad.
Sangshik: But he is. It's just him being bad. His power and skills were no near Claire's level even since they were kids, so she had us looking out for him.
Beom-Shik: Gotcha.
Sangshik: We should probably drop it. I'd hate for him to overhear us.
Y/N: (sighs, thoughts) It's too late. I heard every word. Well, they didn't say anything that isn't true, so I can't argue.
Akane: (smile) Something wrong Y/N?
Y/N: (blush) N-No, nothing. I'll try to increase my pace.
Akane: Are you ok?
Y/N: Y-Yeah.
Although she wasn't really convinced, Akane decided to kept going. It was really weird, for him, a guy considered an introvert to hang out with many people who are very popular.
He truly felt like he was out of place not just in this group, his school, but the whole world.
???: Y/N!
Y/N looked and saw a young woman with blue eyes, fair skin, and long bright orange hair. This was Joohee Lee, a B-Rank healer.
Joohee: You got hurt again!
Y/N: Yeah but I'll leave. It's good to see you, Joohee.
Joohee: How about you skip the small talk and explain what happened to you?
Y/N: Oh. Uh... Yeah, the same thing that usually happens.
Joohee: You seriously need to be more careful.
Akane: Don't worry Joohee, I'm Y/N was trying his best. Right?
Y/N: Uh, yeah.
(Time-skip by Chibi Joohee and Akane hugging Y/N who was blushing madly)
Y/N and Joohee were seen talking about his last raid.
Joohee: I heard you even had a hospital stay.
Y/N: Hey, sliver lining though is that I was the only one hurt.
Joohee: So, what exactly went wrong?
Y/N: The rest of the team was a higher rank and the Dungeon was an E, so they didn't think to bring a healer.
Joohee: They didn't bring a healer?! Of all the thoughtless self-centred things to do!
Y/N: (smile) Not like I'm mad, it isn't their fault I'm so weak. I'm used to be treated that way by hunters. Figured you knew that. Besides, Claire might beat them up pretty badly and I didn't want that to happen.
Joohee: (worried) Y/N...
Y/N: I always admired her, she was strong, fearless, and quite protective of me and Jinah. It's almost as if she's the older sister we never had. That's one of the reasons I've became a Hunter, so I could reached up to her level.
Naofumi: (walks up to them) Hey, it's time. Everyone's already to get inside the D-Rank Gate.
Y/N: Right.
Everyone gathered around a thin middle-aged man with dark brown hair and prominent wrinkles, he wore a simple blue tracksuit. He was Chi-Yul Song, a C-Rank Hunter and a kumdo teacher.
Chi-Yul: The name's Chi-Yul Song, and unless any of you have objections I volunteer to be the leader of our Dungeon raid. Speak now or hold your peace.
Beom-Shik: Nope. I'm all for it.
Sangshik: Chi-Yul is the most skilled out of everybody here.
Motoyasu: Hey! I'm skilled too!
Ren: Calm down, Ren.
Itsuki: I'm okay with it.
Naofumi: One less worry if he's in charge.
Y/N: Working with you sir is an absolute privilege.
Chi-Yul: Thanks. Now, with that settle, shall we?
The doors to the D-Rank Dungeon opened as the group began to gear up before going inside of the Gate, with Chi-Yul leading them to the Dungeon.
Itsuki: Well, this is going to be a very great time!
Ren: Speak for yourself, pal.
Motoyasu: Ah, don't be like that, Ren. We spent the days hanging out with our friends, isn't that something?
Akane: (walks to Y/N) What's wrong?
Y/N: (blush) N-Nothing Akane.
Akane: Y/N, I'm asking this because I'm worried.
Y/N: Don't worry. I've just been-
Sangshik: Hey Kid. (placed a hand on Y/N's shoulder)
Make sure you get least injuries this time. I don't want to get an earful from Claire if she finds out you're hurt.
Y/N: Good idea, I'll try.
Joohee: Focus on succeeding, not trying.
As the raid gets underway, Y/N checks that he has his weapon; it's a low-power knife, but it's all he could afford.
Y/N: (thoughts) This knife has barely magic power in it, but it was the only weapon I could afford. Hey, it's better than nothing. (takes a deep breath) Alright, let's see this go through to the end.
Gaining confidence, Y/N began walking as he was the last to enter the portal.
Prologue Part 1 ended.
Okay, that's the easy part of the prologue done. The other two or three are going to be very hard and tricky.
