Up in Olympus, the gods and goddesses of Greek mythology were engaged in debate about normal boring affairs such as politics, but Dionysus was getting bored.

     "Hey! I know what we need!" he declared.

     "What?" Zeus, king of the gods, frowned.

     "A vacation!"  Dionysus said, "Some sort of decade long relaxation at a beach or something. Let's do a head count to see who'd rather do that then politics!"

     "Sure!" Hermes grinned, nodding, "That sounds like fun! Besides, a decade off never hurt anyone. What do you say, Zeus?"

     "No," Zeus scowled, "What would happen to the mortals if we left them?"

     "Zeus?" Athena said, cutting in, "We don't actually do anything. We could probably get away with a century of vacation before the demigods noticed. And that doesn't even include the humans. They wouldn't ever notice."

     "Yeah, I could take a vacation from the underworld!" Persephone said happily.

     "I agree," Hades nodded, "Those dead people start to smell after a few years, and the place is full of them."

     "NO vacation!!" Zeus said forcefully, standing up and glowering at Dionysus for starting the idea.

     "Come on, it would be fun!" Poseidon agreed, "Think of the seashore!"

      "A nice vacation would be great!" Aphrodite exclaimed, "I'll go pack my things!"

     "NO VACATION!!!!" Zeus bellowed.

     "Zeus, it would be a wonderful opportunity for family bonding!" Hera protested, "After all, we're all one big family here."

     "Says the goddess of family," Demeter said, "It's a great idea, Dionysus."

     "Yes, it's about time I started a forge on Hawaii," Hephaestus chipped in, "It's on my bucket list."

     "YEAH, A VACATION, BABY!!!!" Apollo leapt in the air, pumping his fist enthusiastically, "Artemis, what do you think?"

     "It would be good for my Hunters to take a vacation," the moon goddess replied, "Besides, I hear there are lots of wild boars in Hawaii."

     "Yeah, but there are wars here that need to be fought," Ares grinned, "I ain't leavin' those!"

     "Thank you!!!" Zeus said, "Finally someone with some sense!"

     "It's ten against two, so we win," Dionysus pointed out, "Everybody pack your stuff!"

     "YAY!!!" 

     "NOOO!!!!!!" Zeus ordered, "I'm the king here, and it's called a veto! We're staying here!!!!" he said harshly, and everyone looked disappointed and sighed.

     "Oh well," Athena sighed, "We would need for someone to temporarily watch Olympus while we were gone anyway."

     Back down on Earth, inside the Fairy Tail guild hall....

     "I'm so bored!" Lucy moaned, resting her head on one of the many wooden tables in the guild hall, running a hand through her blond hair. "I wish there was  something we could do..."

     "There aren't any good missions on the request board either," Gray grumbled.

     "Natsu, would you stop picking a fight with Gajeel before Erza finds you?" Happy told Natsu as he taunted the Iron Dragon Slayer. "She won't be very happy to see you two at it again, as if Gray wasn't bad enough."

     "But there isn't anything else to do!!!" Natsu complained.

     Levy sat down besides Lucy with a sigh, "There's got to be something  we can do this weekend." she said optimistically.

     Laxus frowned at them, then a small smirk spread across his fast, "Hey... I have an idea."

     "What?"

     "I'll be right back," Laxus grinned.
