this theory totally clashes with my other Edo Gildarts/Igneel theory but...

thinking it through, Gildarts didn't know of this place and he has magic power inside of him.

I think he was Edolas Fairy Tail's Master!

In Edolas, the characters are basically another side of their Earthland selves. They are the same, but in a different way (if that makes sense but lemme guess... it doesn't cuz i am shit at explaining things.)

Basically the other half of their personalities are who they act like.

Example: Earthland Gajeel is kickass awesome "I don't give a fuck about anything" type of guy but on the inside he loves music and writing occasionally. He actually likes being in people's business, etc.

Edo Gajeel is always in people's business, likes music, loves writing. On the inside he doesn't give a shit about anything, he can handle himself.

Gildarts is never seen in Edolas and Natsu even states he could be a frog after Gildarts asked about his Edolas self.

Gildarts is actually very similar to Mokarov, and is very wise. He could very well be Edo Fairy Tail's Master who died.
