Outside the Grand Magic Games Arena, Ultear and Meredy are standing on a rock, talking about the Grand Magic Games. Meredy is excited that Jellal is participating, but wonders if risking their cover to meet Fairy Tail before was necessary at all. However, Ultear says that it wasn't all for waste, especially for Erza and Jellal.

In the Domus Flau, Chapati Lola introduces the eight people who are going to participate in the first event Hidden. Mavis explains the rules so far and adds that the teams can have reserve members, hoping that Wendy can take part of the Games as a reserve member. She states that she is proud that two of Fairy Tail's teams passed the elimination round. Back in the Games, Juvia says that she is not going easy on Gray, and Lyon says the same. Gray and Juvia then have a discussion with Mato on what he is supposed to be. Nullpudding then states that since Fairy Tail has an advantage, having two participants, the event will not turn out to be fair for the others. The rest of the participants offer that they don't have a problem with Fairy Tail having an advantage, and Rufus adds that having two people might also serve as a disadvantage.

Mato then activates the field, and a city forms in the middle of the stadium out of Magic. All the participants wonder if they are required to play some form of hide and seek. Screens then appear for the audience to see what is happening to the participants. Chapati explains the rules of Hidden, being that the players have to find and attack one another, as copies of the participants are formed to confuse them, since hitting the clones will subtract game points. When the game begins, Juvia hugs a copy of Gray and loses a point while being re-spawned somewhere else. Gray then attacks Nullpudding, only to find out that it was a copy and the real Nullpudding is right behind the copy. Gray is then transported somewhere else and everyone adopts a plan to act like the copies until they find the enemy. Nullpudding again finds Gray and this time he attacks him, giving him a point. Beth ambushes Gray, but Jäger defeats her, the Quatro Cerberus Mage then being defeated by Lyon. Just before Gray and Lyon can engage each other though, Juvia jumps down from a building and attacks Lyon, stating that she wants to win because she promised the Master to.

She reveals that the master had allowed them to participate the Grand Magic Games. First they were reluctant, but Makarov made a deal with the group, stating that the winning team could command the losing team for a whole day. Laxus, Gajeel and Mirajane, all liking this idea, agreed to join the B team as a result. Angered by this, Gray yells at Makarov for never having heard this kind of proposition and asks if it applies to them too, which Makarov confirms. Taking advantage of Gray and Juvia being distracted, Nullpudding attacks the two, gaining himself two points. Snow then falls and it is revealed that Eve is the cause of it. His team realize that copies don't produce white fog when they breathe, but the real people do. This way, Eve earns three points for attacking Beth, Jäger, and Nullpudding. While the others attack, Nullpudding keeps attacking Gray, which irritates him to no end.

Chapati notes that Rufus hasn't made a move the entire time. The Sabertooth Mage is then seen standing on a pole, saying the competition is too simple. Natsu yells at Gray to look up, and Rufus activates his Magic. The day turns into night and all the participants begin glowing. Rufus then casts his Memory Make: Night of Falling Stars spell , and everyone except Nullpudding is hit by a beam, which gives him six points. Nullpudding attacks him, but is attacked by Rufus instead, giving the Memory-Make Mage seven points in total. He instantly skyrockets his rank, and he explains to everyone how he won. Angered, Gray tries to attack Rufus, but Nullpudding attacks him before he can even get near the man.

Time is then declared to be up, and the city along with the clones disappears. Sabertooth is declared winner and Ooba Babasaama angrily yells at her team for their position. Gray sadly walks away whilst the audience jeer at Fairy Tail for their bottom positions. Gray is angered even more and Natsu yells back at the crowd, but Erza stops him, saying that they can laugh all they want. Gray apologizes and Lucy says that its no problem because the Games have only just begun, but Gray punches the wall next to him and swears revenge on Rufus and Nullpudding. 

"Now if you excuse me" Chapati cleared his throat to silent the crowd "Let's take a look at the battle's system" A hologram appeared on the air, showing the match-ups "The matchups were decided by the organizers"

"I hope there is some interesting matchups" Yazima commented.

"The first round on the first day! Lucy Heartfilia from Fairy Tail A! Versus Flare Corona from Raven Tail!" the crowd cheered as the two female mages walked forward from their teams, both with different feelings. Lucy, with nervousness while Flare, one of confidence and hatred for her opponent.

"Lucy! Show them the result of our training!" Natsu cried, cheering for Lucy.

"If we win here, it'll still be a tie." Erza informed them. Lucy nodded before she turned to Sora.

"Wish me luck." She said with a small smile. The dragon slayer bent down and kissed his girlfriend on the lips before pulling back with a toothy grin on his face.

"You don't need luck, Luce. You got skills." Sora spoke confidently. "Just don't push yourself." His words, along with the other mages of Fairy Tail's cheering made Lucy calmed down a little.

"Leave it to me" Lucy put on a confident smile "I'll definitely win!"

"Can we just get started, blondie?" an annoyed Flare asked as her face turned into an even uglier look that made her look more mentally unstable than she was before. Lucy flinched slightly, but she looked down on her hand where the ring Sora gave her was and stayed strong.

"You got this, Lucy!" Lucas cheered.

"Take her down!" Happy shouted.

"She has a killer look in her eyes..." Lily observed.

"Well, they did hurt Carla and Wendy." Kiki said.

Makarov was completely fired up with who they were going against and urged her. "The rival guild is led by the idiot Ivan! Come on, teach them a lesson!" despite his words and mood, the First looked completely serious in contrast with the Third.

"What on earth is the purpose of Raven Tail?" she questioned and Makarov, who totally lost his cool answered without thinking.

"Obviously, they want to humiliate us! So annoying!" Mavis sighed and shook her head.

"I'd be fine if it were something as small as that" despite her words, she still looked serious and stared straight ahead, unlike her happy self.

"The time limit is 30 minutes. Within the time limit, if one makes their rival unable to battle, than they win. Well now, the first round... Starts!"

Immediately after the signal, Lucy took out one of her keys and summoned her spirit "Open! The Gate of the Golden Bull! Taurus!" The white cow appeared, making a battle-cry with his battleaxe brought back for a slash.

"Moo!" he slashed his axe at Flare who quickly jumped and dodged while Lucy raised another key and summoned Scorpio.

"Sand Buster!" Flare, in a position that proved dodging risky, used her magic and blocked the attack by growing and strengthening her hair.

"Her hair extended!" Natsu cried out.

"Did she just block that attack...?" Sora said in awe.

"Taurus! Sand of Scorpio!" Lucy ordered and sand began to swirl around Taurus' battleaxe.

"Sandstorm Axe! Aldebaran!" the minotaur cried out and slashed forward, sending the tunnel of sand straight to Flare, which crashed into her body and sent her flying. The Raven Tail mage quickly got up to her feet and snarled back in anger.

"Blondie....Hair Shower Wolf Fang!" Flare elongated her hair in spirals and shaped it into the front half of a large, furry, fierce-looking and extremely realistic wolf, complete with clawed forelegs, blank eyes, a canine nose, a pair of ears, a mouth full of massive sharp teeth and a long tongue sticking out before sending it to Lucy.

However, the celestial mage countered by summoning Cancer, the expert on hair cutting and cut through the attack easily, making Flare scream "My hair... damn you! You wench!" she sent her hair into the ground and trapped Lucy, swinging her around by the ankle. However, Lucy wasn't given up just yet and used Flare's brought out her magical whip, whipping it forward and hooking around Flare's wrist, swinging her around as well.

The crowd cheered at the hot battle between two incredible attractive girls.

"WOW!" Chapati cried "There hasn't even been time to take a breath in this battle. Battle of the father-son's Guilds! And battle of the women! Neither one is drawing back!"

But even with what was happening, Raven Tail were perfectly confident that they would win.

Even if it meant using underhanded methods.

"Arghh!" Flare shouted, and she drilled her hair down in the ground.

"What are you doing?" Lucy asked.

Flare just tilted her head and smiled evilly, as she turned towards the crowd. Lucy caught on, and she quickly glanced at the rest of Fairy Tail who were cheering her on from the sides. She noticed that a bit of Flare's hair was moving very close to Asuka, as if it was about to pounce on her any second.

"Asuka!" 

"No the hell you don't!" Sora suddenly snapped his head up and shot off, much to his teammates' confusion. "My ears don't lie! I heard what I needed to hear!"

"Bro!" Natsu called after him.

"Sora, where are you going?" Erza asked, but Sora already disappeared from view.

For that second that Lucy took her eyes away from Flare, her opponent took that opportunity and whipped her hair at her.

"Now now, blondie. Don't move or talk, or the girl dies. Got it?" the Raven Tail Mage chuckled softly, as she twirled her hair that was next to Asuka threateningly. "That's right. Nothing from you." And she proceeded to attack Lucy.

She engulfed her hair in flames and whipped at the Celestial Mage continuously, leaving the latter on defense. Again and again, she continued to lash at Lucy, without a care in the world. From within the stands, Asuka called out the Lucy, not aware of the danger that was lurking around.

"LUCY!" Natsu cried out.

"What's going on?" Lucas asked in shock from the others. "They were evenly matched until now, weren't they?"

"Something isn't right?" Erza muttered.

When all hopes was about to shatter, Lucy heard his voice.

"Yo... Luce!" She snapped her head to the side and saw Sora standing right next to Asuka, with one of his hand gripping the strand of Flare's hair "Wrap this up, will ya?" he encouraged her with a smirk.

"Sora!" The master cried out in shock "Why is that in a place like this?"

"Sora..." Mavis titled her head to the side and smiled at him.

"You're welcome." He smiled and patted Asuka on her head.

'Thank you Sora!' Lucy gave a thankful glance to him as she glared at the women "Open! Gate of the Twins, Gemini!" she called out to her Spirit. In no time, she was free from her bounds and ready to go. "Turn into me!" she shouted.

"You got it!" Gemini, who took the form of a naked Lucy with only a bathrobe wrapped around her body appeared.

"W-why are you wearing a TOWEL?" Lucy cried out in shock while the crowd going wild again.

"That was the last clothing I wore last time you summoned me," Gemini responded, as they grabbed on the bath towel, ready to strip.

"N-no! Don't!" Lucy cried. "Anyway, let's do it!"

Gemini understood, and rushed to their master's side to perform a spell that would surely defeat their opponent, as well as surprise the audience.

They joined hands, and chanted the incantation, magical power flared powerfully around them "Survey the Heaven, Open the Heaven. All the stars, far and wide. Show me thy appearance. With such shine. O Tetrabiblos. I am the ruler of the stars. Aspect became complete. Open thy malevolent gate. O eighty-eight stars of the heaven... Shine! Urano Metria!"

Suddenly, they were in a galaxy full of swirling orbs that rushed towards Flare, ready to plummet her.

However, before Lucy could cast her spell, she began to sweat excessively and found her spell got cancelled out.

The next instant, Lucy dropped to the ground in exhaustion, confused why the spell didn't have any effective - rather it didn't even leave a scratch on Flare.

"LUCY!!!" Lucas yelled.

"WHAT HAPPENED!" Erza cried out.

"I thinks someone countered the spell..." Lexi said.

"No way!" Makarov gasped in shock.

"The winner of this round is... Flare Corona from Raven Tail!"Chapati cried in the mic, and the crowd cheered loudly. Upon hearing this, Sora quickly jumped off the stadium and rushed towards Lucy while she was trying to cover her tearful eyes as the crowd laughed at her "What in the world happened?! Lucy's magic didn't activate! Yazima... this is... Yazima."

But the short old man was having a dark expression on his face, as he glared at a certain guild.

The same expression Sora was currently having as he stood beside Lucy, who was still crying her eyes out.

"Raven tail." Was all he said before Sora turned around and kneed down in front of Lucy, who was furiously wiping her tears with the back of her hands. "That was a great, Luce." 

Lucy sniffed sadly as she looked up at him, "But I..."

Sora put a hand on Lucy's head, bringing her close to his chest "Let's go, you still have a lot to fight for." He put his other hand underneath her knees, gently lifting her up bridal style and walking away. "I couldn't have asked for a more better and badass girlfriend."

In the end, Sabertooth managed to kept their no.1 place with 20 points after Orga Nanagear destroyed War Cry of Sabertooth. Flare brought back 18 points for Raven Tail, making them the second team of the first day. Lamia Scale got 3rh place with Mystogan/Jellal's defeat against Jura, as he was disturbed during the fight by Ultear and Meredy. Blue Pegasus claimed the fourth position when Ren Akatsuki defeated Araina Webb of Mermaid Heel. Mermaid Heel, while losing got 10th point in their possession so they was only pushed down to the fifth place, followed behind by Quatro Cerberus, Fairy Tail B Team and Fairy Tail A.

As the day draws to a close, Carla awakens completely scared in the infirmary from a prophecy she has just witnessed, whilst out in the stands Fairy Tail vows to turn their stance around in day two of the Grand Magic Games.

What the heck is Fairy Tail Team B was doing?" a rather drunk Cana said, sitting on a table with a bottle of wine in her hand "We've lined up almost all the strongest members of Fairy Tail and yet you guy got nearly made it last..." After the Grand Magic Game, both Fairy Team went to visit Wendy and Carla to make sure that she was okay before heading to the nearest bar, with Cana being the one who chose it.

"You're talking big for someone that was too busy touring the bars around here to come cheer to for us." Elfman said and he immediately got a glare from Fairy Tail's Ace's daughter.

"I was watching! All the bars have Lacrima vision installed, you know."

"Well, why don't we drink a toast to commemorate Team B crushing defeat, and Team A great performance?" A drunk Makarov asked, raising his cup of beer.

"It was quite the first day, huh..." Erza commented.

"Sure was." Mira replied with a nod. "We'll have to try our best tomorrow."

"It's going to be my turn tomorrow! I'll definitely turn things around!" Naruto said with a very confident smile.

"Yeah, we're going to make our comeback!" Sora smirked.

"Aye/Roger that!" Happy and Lucas cheered.

"Hmph...If Salamander and Lionheart are taken part, I might have to step in myself." Gajeel said with a challenging smirk.

"Talk about the perfect opportunity to show off your training." Lily commented.

"Hey, has anyone seen Gray and Lucy?" Levy asked, looking around for said mages.

"I haven't seen them since today's matches..." Kiki replied.

"I hope they're okay." Lexi said.

"Well, after all, they both lost..." Macao said with folded arms.

"It must be hard for them to show their faces..." Wakaba said.

"Really? I thought they were both awesome." Romeo spoke from his seat.

"We're right here, guys." Gray said to them.

"Sorry if we made you guys worry." Lucy spoke up.

"Are you feeling alright, Lu?" Levy asked worried about her best friend.

Lucy smiled and gave her a thumbs up. "Totally fine! I'm actually more pumped up then ever before!" She then went over to Sora and sat by him.

"What about Wendy and Carla?" Gray asked Lisanna.

"It seems like they still don't feel well. Porlyusica is with them," The youngest Strauss replied.

"Listen up!" Makarov called out as he climbed on the table. "Now that all you brats are here...Today's defeat is tomorrow's victory! We'll rise up and show them all that we don't know the meaning of giving up! Our goal is #1 in Fiore!!!"

"YEAAAH!!!" All the Fairy Tail members cheered.
