Magnolia Town...

Cleaning up quickly after the Avatar debacle Sora, Natsu, Lucy, Lexi, Wendy, Lucas, Kiki, Happy and Carla traveled back to where their adventures first began. They returned to the beloved home of Magnolia where their guild was.

"This place hasn't changed a bit, has it?" Sora grinned.

"Woah! This really brings back memories!" The fire dragon slayer whistled in amazement as he looked around at the totally renovated town, his eyes taking in as much as they could possibly could. "I can't believe we're really back home!"

"They even fixed the Kardia Cathedral!" Happy exclaimed as he pointed to the structure with a paw.

"It looks as good as new!" Lucas agreed.

"This place was in ruins a year back..." Lexi said in awe.

"Yes, it was." Kiki nodded.

"This town's really tough, isn't it..." Wendy and Carla both added their own remarks. Lucy herself was amazed by the town's transformation but was a bit upset about what happened after capturing the fleeing cultists. Erza proclaimed that she wanted to report back to Jellal while Gray was a little hesitant about Gajeel spilling the beans about him and Erza's plans in the whole charade. Juvia on the other hand mistook the 'us' in his sentence to mean her and the ice mage living together...as usual.

"We'll head on over to Magnolia as well once we're done with our duties!" Levy told the group with a disgruntled iron dragon slayer right behind her and they disappeared to get that situation cleared up. "That's a promise!"

'On yeah, we never did have high hopes about Avatar being able to tell us more about Zeref...' Lucy sighed to herself as she looked around at the bustling town as well. 'All they did was worship him...'

"What's wrong Lucy?" Wendy asked her when she noticed the frown on the blonde's face.

"You look kinda down..." Lexi said, as she noticed too.

"Nah, I'm fine..." Lucy smiled in response, noticing that Sora was also looking at her with concern. "I'm feeling all nostalgic since it's been so long..." 'That's right, this town brings back too many memories... Memories of joy, pain and fun...And all of them were days I spent in Fairy Tail...but we had to disband so suddenly a year back.'

"What's going on Master!"

"This isn't the time to joke!"

"How the hell are we gonna keep food on the table then?!"

"This isn't your problem alone!" The remaining guild members crowded around as Makarov made his decision right after the massive fight with Tartaros. There were a lot of yelling and disbelief among them as they ordered their master to explain himself thoroughly.

"I will disband Fairy Tail." The old man said firmly as the shouting died out and all eyes were glued on him. "Go on. Go where your beliefs and your legs will take you. That is all that I have to say." He was berated by another round of yelling before he snapped angrily at them. "Fairy Tail will disband this very instant! And don't let me hear anyone of you speak of that name anymore. Am I clear?!"

'We didn't even have the time to ask the Master what had happened, he just disappeared after that.' Lucy thought as she plodded along a few feet behind her friends still lost in her own thoughts. 'By then, people had begun to walk their own paths...Fairy Tail was over...just that memory alone...'

"What's wrong, Lucy?" asked Happy as the group turned to look at her; the celestial mage had come to a complete stop with trembling legs.

"The guild's just ahead..." Lucas said as he pointed a finger in the familiar direction.

"Luce..." Sora said, putting a taking a hold of her hand.

"I...I'm afraid of what I'll see..." She told them in a soft voice.

"Because the guild might not even be there anymore?" The fire dragon slayer asked calmly. "Who cares about the building...what matters is what we do from now..."

"He's right." Lexi nodded.

"That aside, what about everyone else..." asked Lucy as she felt her own belief starting to slip. "With you appearing out of nowhere and saying that you guys will bring back Fairy Tail...I must've gotten carried away too..."

"Luce...don't be like this..." Sora said softly but she shook her head from side to side.

"I haven't even kept in touch with some people over the past year...the letters I've sent...were only to those that I could find..." She confessed to them as tears threatened to fall. "That...'We're gonna bring back Fairy Tail, so let's meet at Magnolia!'...if you think about it, everyone would've gotten on with their lives by now...I don't know if everyone else feels the same as we do...What if...What if they've already forgotten?"

"Yeah, like I'd forget in only a year~" A cheerful voice spoke up and Lucy felt an arm wrap itself around her before staring at Cana in surprise; the brunette definitely changed a bit since the last time they've seen each other and she was already drunk on alcohol, a bottle of the said liquid held firmly in her hand. "Hey, Sora! Natsu! Lucas! Happy! Kiki! Lexi! Carla and Wendy! You've guys grown a lot haven't you!"

"No...not really..." The sky dragon slayer stated meekly as Cana proceeded to grope Lucy's breast with her free hand, giving it a couple of squeezes and caused the blonde to blush.

"And you, big knockers, as usual! Have you had more fun with them, Sora?"

"Cana..." Lucy said like she still couldn't believe the woman was standing right next to her.

"This past year has been fruitful for me too, you know~" Cana said with a smirk on her face as she let her friend go. "Thought I'd go on a trip to look for Gildarts..." She pulled out what looked like an unopened letter from her bag. "So it was pure luck that this got to me in time!"

"Huh?!" Lucy looked at her in curiosity, not sure what the brunette meant by that.

"The same thing will happen to the rest as well..." Cana took a swig of her drink before continuing. "I've been in the guild ever since I was a kid...so when we were told to disband so suddenly, I couldn't make any sense of it...I mean, I didn't even know how to work outside of the guild...but I guess it was a good lesson learned..."

"It seems like your drinking habits haven't changed a bit, huh Cana." Natsu grinned, watching the alcoholic wipe her mouth with the back of her hand.

"You know me so well Natsu." She smiled in response. "Everyone else found it strange too...that might be why no one's kept in touch...and you've become our icebreaker. Lucy..."

"Huh? M-Me?" The celestial mage pointed to herself in wonder. "W-What do you...?"

"Come on!" Cana grabbed her arm and pulled her forward with happiness. "Everyone's waiting!"

"Everyone...?" Lucy repeated before she was greeted by all of the former members of Fairy Tail, including Gajeel, Gray, Erza and everyone that was involved with Avatar. They all made it. Every single one of them have had their fair share of experience as the celestial mage spoke their names individually, flashing out the letters that she had sent to them.

"A reunion of men!"

"Sora, Natsu, Lucy, Lucas, Happy, long time no see!" Even Elfman and Lisanna greeted them with open arms and smiles.

"Lisanna...Elfman..." She glanced at them before spotting Mira gazing at her off to the side. "Mira..."

"Welcome home..." The bartender said brightly, just like she used to do when the mages who journeyed on long quests come back.

Sora brought Lucy into a hug and grinned at her. "See? You gave everyone hope! You really are something, Luce."

"I'm...back..." Lucy sniffled before crying happily to see everyone's smiling faces, burying her face in her boyfriend's chest. "I'm baaack!"

"Oh! Found it! It's all torn but oh well...beggars can't be choosers..." After a brief exchange of looks at his comrades, Natsu managed to find a torn Fairy Tail flag hidden in the rubble. He raised it proudly in front of everyone and firmly stuck it in the ground. "The guild's coming back! This is our Fairy Tail!"

------------------------

Five days later...

Getting over her shock and happiness of reuniting with her beloved friends, Lucy finally managed to take a shower in the bathroom she and Sora shared. Sinking into the tub she scrubbed her skin clean and lathered it with shampoo as the old landlady constantly screeched at her for the rent money somewhere outside her window. Truth be told, Lucy wasn't too concerned because she was just thrilled to be back in her and Sora's home.

"The rest of the girls still have their dorms and houses..." The blonde muses as she recalled a building called Fairy Hills where Erza and the others lived in. "Well I'm sure some have relocated too, but...at least everyone has a place they can call home!" Smiling to herself, she got out and wrapped a towel around her body before walking out of the room. "Phew~ That felt great!"

"Yo!" Natsu smiled a greeting as he lounged on her couch.

"How are you doing Lucy?" Happy added with a half eaten fish in his mouth.

"They decided to come over." Lucas said.

"YOU TWO ARE IN OUR ROOM...AGAIN!?" She snapped at her unwanted guests angrily and even lifted her foot to kick the dragon slayer in the face. "I've told you so many times before...Don't. Come. In. Whenever. You. Damn. Feel. Like. It!"

"It's alright, Luce." Sora said as he caught her from behind, holding onto her waist.he blonde yelped as she hastily used her hands to keep the towel from falling off her body. "Hehe, I never get tired of doing this."

"Put...me...down..." She pouted at him with a blush on her face.

"Before you try to attack them, there was a reason they came over." Sora contiuned.

"We've got work to do!" Natsu grinned at her with excitement.

"Work!" Happy added.

"Work?!" She exclaimed with happiness and accidentally let her arms go, causing the towel to fall to the ground and exposed her naked body for the dragon slayers to admire. "KYAAAAAAAAAAA~!" Where the guild once stood was a large crater that was left a year ago. Luckily the foundations were still intact but a majority of the members scavenged for usable pieces so they could rebuild their guild from the ground up.

"We could finish this faster if everyone chipped in..." Erza said as she greeted them when they arrived on the site. "Let's build an amazing one so that the Master'll be pleased when he sees it."

"I wonder if the Master will ever come back..." Raki said with a sad look on her face. The only change she made was getting a short haircut, her purple hair was now shoulder-length.

"I'm sure he'll come back soon..." Warren replied with confidence.

"Well, even if he doesn't we could go look for him!" Max offered.

"Wanted posters baby!"

"You're treating him like a damn criminal!?" Bijeter snapped before looking at the poster Leedas created very closely. "And the reward money is pretty cheap!"

"Could you hand me that nail, Juvia...?" Gray asked as he and Juvia were working together on another section of the framework.

"Yes! Gray!" She replied as she handed him the nail with her water magic, causing the man to state that she might get the nails wet. While he continued to work the others that watched their interaction closely ended up creating false rumors about the two and it shocked the ice mage in the process, especially when he heard Erza's name being mentioned a couple of times during the conversations.

"I wouldn't say Juvia and I lived together...she came and refused to move out. So yeah..." He mumbled lamely much to their amused facial expression.

Lisanna arrived a little later with a bag filled with cold refreshments that would help rejuvenate their energy and spirit.

"You are really good at handing out refreshments Lisanna..." Sora commented as he took a few bottles from her and handed them out.

"Yeah I am!" Lisanna grinned at him with confidence. "I've been doing some jobs as a waiter with Mira for the past year!"

"Did Elfman do it too?" Happy asked her.

"Never thought Elfman would serve tables." Lexi spoke.

"Hmm, Elf said something about going on 'Men's training~!' and then just disappeared..." The younger of the siblings replied, chuckling as she imagined her brother in a waiter's outfit.

"Oh..." Natsu grinned when he heard that, his blood slowly boiled up from within. "I'mma go pick a fight with him later then..."

"I could do it now if you want though." Elfman smiled eagerly at the challenge, cracking his knuckles as the fire dragon slayer smiled in return.

"I'm all fired up!"

"This I gotta see!" Sora and Lexi said as they watched the fight.

"Taking all bets!" Lucas and Kiki called out as they set up a booth.

Meanwhile...

"What are you doing, Levy?" Wendy asked in curiosity as she watched the blue-haired mage slave away with mounds of intricate looking paperwork.

"Hmmm, sorting out the documents and that kind of thing..." Levy responded as she frowned at a particular parchment in hand. "You can't just bring back the guild with words...We've got to get permission from the council, or we'll be no different from the dark guilds."

"Well, we've done our research on that for the past year so we'll be okay." Lily commented with a smile on his face.

"That's pretty sweet of you guys." Carla replied with a a hot cup of coffee in her paws.

"So in that sense, I've gotta make sure Fairy Tail's comeback is done without problems...I just have to fill this box though..." Levy sighed loudly.

"That's a tough one, huh..." Mira noted as she leaned over Levy's shoulder. Her commented drew a questioning gaze from the sky dragon slayer, prompting her to explain what the box said. "Who will Fairy Tail's...seventh guild master be?"

"Seventh guild master?" Wendy questioned, tilting her head to the side.

"Well, I could be if no one else wants to..."

"NO DAD!" Romeo said immediately when Macao offered to take the position upon himself. Knowing that his dad served as the fourth master when the Tenrou Team disappeared, he absolutely won't let his dad take the spot again. "You were terrible...no offense."

"Gildarts sounds like a fine idea." Wakaba said which led Cana to interrupt, stating that her nomad of a father was out of the question.

"Couldn't we just get a stand in, at least until the sixth comes back?" Carla asked and Lily agreed with her idea.

"But the guild this time around is different from before..." The brunette mused as she watched the brawl between Elfman and Natsu. "Who the hell would be able to control this bunch of rowdy hooligans better than the sixth?"

"How'd ya like this!" Elfman said as he socked the fire dragon slayer with a nasty right hook to the face.

"Woaahhhh!" Natsu yelped as he tumbled back, crashing into a couple wooden crates. He sat up and wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and grinned. "Heh...that's a nice punch you've got there!"

"Do your best, guys!" Lisanna cheered loudly from the side lines.

"I'm rooting for you both!" Lexi exclaimed.

"They've both gotten stronger haven't they?" Alzack commented as his wife and daughter decided to poke fun about him gaining weight.

"Well...here ya go Elfman! A nice present from yours truly!" Natsu remarked as he threw a powerful punch of his own, knocking his opponent back.

"Hey!" Gray shouted in horror as Elfman barreled into him. The ice mage was still working on his part of the foundation so he was totally taken by surprise by the flying body. Enraged, he kicked Elfman behind the head. "That frickin hurt! Bastard!"

"Damn it Gray! Taste the sole of my foot!" Natsu pounced on the ice mage and that caused the entire bunch of former guild members to enter the fry with wide smiles on their faces. The entire construction sight was soon filled with laughter and a good ol' fashion brawl just like in the old days. Even Elfman wiped away a tear in happiness and threw himself back into battle.

'That's nice, Elfman...' Mira thought cheerfully as she watched the carnage around her. 'No one blamed you for destroying the guild but...I know you've been beating yourself up over it...and that's why you said you were gonna get stronger...'

"Mira!" Lucy yelped as the Take-Over mage was hit by a flying bottle of booze and collapsed to the ground. She turned with an angry expression on her face at the rowdy guild members. "Hey, you guys...!" She then flinched as an ominous presence arrived on the scene and knew immediately that every single mage was totally screwed.

"GET. TO. WORK." An extremely intimidating Erza Scarlet ordered in a commanding voice, stopping the ruckus in its tracks as the brawling comrades all stared at her in fear.

"Y-Y-Yes Ma'am!" They uttered in unison and scurried about without question, working as hard as ever to please her and not face her wrath.

"Hehe! It looks like we found the perfect candidate, huh sis?" Sora turned to Levy with a huge grin.

"Yeah, I guess it's set then." Levy chuckled with amusement as she filled in the box without hesitation. "Our seventh guild master. Erza Scarlet."

"What?" The scarlet-haired knight gaped in surprise as the people around her unleashed supportive yells or stomped their feet with approval. She had a blush on her face as she tried to deny the position in mild embarrassment. "W...Wait up...Me, the Master? That's..."

Aww, don't be so modest Red." Sora said, as he bumped shoulders with her.

"There's no one better than you..." A voice said and they all turned to see a man approaching them.

"You're..." Natsu stared in wide eyes at the stranger.

"Who is that...?" Lucy asked.

"No...he's one of us..." Cana said with a little certainty in her voice. "But I can't seem to recall his name..."

'He looks so familiar....' Sora thought.

"I've been waiting all this time...for all of you to come together again..." The man continued as he stood before them. He was none other than Mest Gryder, the man who had always been a member of Fairy Tail but used his magic to erase his own memories to infiltrate the council.

He wore a dark high-collared, fur trimmed, form-fitting muscle shirt with leopard print around the collar and clavicle areas. For his lower body, Mest had on a pair of simple jeans with a black stripe going up the side of either pant leg, a simple belt, and black shoes. Around his right bicep is a band, and around both wrists are light-colored wristbands with a dark stripe going through the middle. The mark of Fairy Tail stood out proudly on his right shoulder as he gazed at them with a serious expression.

"The only ones that could save the sixth master, Makarov...are you guys."
