Outside Malba Town...

"GRAY!"

"Briar!?" Gray's head swiveled towards the enraged voice to witness the curvaceous woman barreling towards him like a freight train. He had just finished putting a couple of weaklings on ice so seeing someone that may put up a challenge for him made his blood boil with anticipation.

"How dare you betray us!" She spat venomously as she kept her unwavering gaze on him and nobody else. "No...lie to us! Were all those times you spent with us a lie!?"

"Of course they were, idiot!" He retorted, stepping to the side as she attacked him with a really strong shock wave. "You think I'd be all chummy with a bunch of murderers like you?! Don't be stupid."

"This isn't murder!" She howled as she attacked him again and again, her relentless shock waves caused deep gouges running across the ground. "It's purification! And with this, we'll be able to summon Zeref!"

"Why do you wish to summon Zeref in the first place?!" Gray somersaulted and pranced about as he dodged her attempts to damage him. "He's nothing but an eyesore and he literally sucks the life out of anyone that ends up near him. What do you guys hope to accomplish with that plan?"

"Shut up...all that talk about the Book of END...was that all lies too!?"

"I wouldn't say that...now you're putting words in my mouth." The ice mage tumbled to the side to avoid another shock wave, skidding to a halt once the ground stopped shaking. "END will eventually be destroyed by these hands of mine. But it won't be anything like what you're doing." He stood up and gazed at her with a pissed-off expression. "How the hell could I face my pops if I did? He'd kick my ass."

"Lucy~" Taurus complained out of the blue, his body trembling and beads of sweat started to roll down his face. "My stomach hurts...moooo..."

"At this time!?" She glance at him with horror before feeling the exact same feeling occurring in her lower half and she wrapped her arms over her stomach in haste. "N...No...me too..."

"Ufufufu..." Mary smiled as she approached the two of them, her eyes shining mischievously. "My black magic's...a virus. The kind that eats at you from the inside out. Oh, and, and, it's the kind that makes your large intestines go crazy." She laughed at the thought. "Yeah, you'd better find a toilet soon or...shit will hit the fan."

" T...That's so che...ap..." Lucy uttered as Happy agreed, his paws over his own stomach as he was affected by her magic as well.

"Lucy...I think...I'm...at my limit...Moo..." Taurus spoke as the celestial mage sunk to her knees due to the extreme amounts of pain.

"Are you Gray's old friends?" The petite girl asked as she stared at the blonde. "A wizard from that famous Fairy Tail, perhaps?" She tilted her head to the side with a sick smile. "You're so weak that I find it hilarious..."

"What...What are you talking about..." Lucy growled as she slowly got to her feet. "As if something like this...can keep me grounded..."

"My virus can be deadly too you know...hmm, for example..." Mary pointed a finger to her own head and stuck her tongue out childishly. "...attacking the brain...? Wanna try that out?"

Suddenly, foot engulfed in sliver flames came out of nowhere and struck Mary in the face, sending her flying away from Lucy.

"Huh?" Lucy blinked as she managed to stand upright without trembling. "My stomach doesn't hurt anymore."

"What's going on?" Happy wondered as he hopped to his feet without crying in pain. "I feel as good as new..."

"Body anomaly reversal magic, Dispel..." A voice spoke up and they looked to see the newcomers standing on the battlefield. "...and Body anomaly reversal magic, Enchant. Your anomaly magic won't work with my air magic in effect!"

"This is a big army..." Carla huffed as she stood in her human form right behind the sky dragon slayer, arms crossed over her chest.

"You know what they say: the bigger they are, they harder they fall.." Kiki said, in her Neko Form.

"Wendy! Lexi!" Lucy exclaimed with shock.

"Kiki!" Lucas said in surprise.

"Loving the new look, Bighshot!" Kiki said with a wink.

"Why are you here?!" Happy added however Carla quickly yelled out a warning as the enraged petite girl attempted to throw herself at the blonde for a physical attack.

"Thanks Carla! Take this! Lucy Punch!" Lucy smiled as she whirled around and punched Mary in the gut. The petite girl gagged at the power from the Taurus Stardress and crumpled to the floor instantly.

"Wow, Lucy, that was amazing!" Wendy complimented her while Carla looked a little unsettling at the name of the attack.

"Well, I don't even wanna think about what would have happened to us if you weren't here, Wendy..." Lucy replied as she thanked the sky dragon slayer for her help.

"You're the one person I can't forgive, you damn mole!" Briar yelled as she and Gray were still locked in dead-heat, neither had the advantage over the other. The ground around them was already ravaged thanks to the woman's shock waves.

"So you're finally using it, your clone magic." Gray smirked when the woman dodged his latest attack by creating a copy of herself. She just huffed with annoyance and with her magic, created multiple copies of herself.

"Raging Briar." The angry one snapped as an angry vein throbbed on her forehead. "I'm so pissed."

"Grieving Briar." The teary one wept with a shaky voice. "I feel sad that I have to kill you here..."

"Smiling Briar." The happiest one of the bunch proclaimed. "I find it hilarious that you'd pick a fight with us using such power..."

"Briar in Love." Each clone introduced herself, representing a separate part of the real Briar's personality. "I might have fallen in love with you, just for a little bit."

"Huh?" Gray blinked in confusion, totally thrown off by what she said.

"Then, I shall presume that you're my love rival too?" A scary voice spoke behind the ice mage and he visibly jumped when Juvia appeared with an enraged expression. Coating her hands with water, she flew at the clone with seething rage and slashed at her without mercy. "Water Claw!"

"Gaaaah!" Briar in Love shrieked as she was defeated by the solid strike and fell to the ground motionless.

"That's right, bitch." Juvia spoke as she observed her handy work. "Keep your dirty hands off my Gray!"

"How could you do that to her?!" Raging Briar spat.

"Ahahahahah!" Smiling Briar just burst with laughter while Grieving Briar just teared up at how heartless Juvia was.

"Tch...you're all annoying." Gray frowned at their behavior and he just freezes them all in a single motion. He was also so annoyed by the other chatter from the cultists that he froze them too. "There...much better."

"Gray~" Juvia squealed as she gave him her proper greeting, latching onto his body. "I've missed you so much~! I had this bad feeling you'd be in trouble so I came as fast as I could..."

"It isn't that big of a deal though..." He said lamely as she let him go and he held her at arms length. "But besides that, how did you get here so fast...?"

"Wendy's sense of smell is getting better and better..." The water mage chirped in response.

"Listen Juvia, I'm really sorry for leaving you behind." Gray apologized. "I promise, I'll give you a full explanation later but at the moment..."

"I understand." She smiled at him warmly and the two of them simultaneously stripped out of their clothing just like they have done during their training days.

"Let's take them all down together!"

"Yes, Gray!"

"Oh, so Juvia's feeling better already?" Lucy commented when she noticed the water mage going all out with Gray guarding her back.

"Yup, thanks to Wendy that is..." Carla smirked as the dragon slayer suddenly became bashful at the attention she was getting.

"This isn't the time to be slacking, the enemy is still here, moo!" Taurus spoke up in panic. Thanks to Mary's defeat, his stomach wasn't hurting anymore and he was back on his feet.

"Let's go Wendy!" Lexi called as she stood by the younger Dragon slayer.

"Yes!" Wendy agreed and much to Lucy's surprise, both girls entered Dragon Force without any help. Rushing towards a group of cultists, Wendy swung her arms to subsequently generate a large and very powerful tornado. The force of nature acted as a vacuum and sucked the enemies in before spitting them back out in defeat. "Sky Dragon's Wave Wind!"

"Sliver Dragon's Radiant Dance!" Lexi said as she she began to send cyclones of sliver flames at the army.

"We've been training too!" Carla spoke up to the speechless blonde, kicking her enemies with the underside of her shoe as she does so. "Don't be so surprised." Gaining enthusiasm and enjoying the feel of fighting with her friends once more, Lucy and the rest started to push back against Avatar's forces with vigor.

Somewhere off to the side...

"Master Arlock...our forces at the back have been diminished." A messenger relayed the information as the masked man stood rigid among his portion of the army. Over the course of the fight, he hadn't done anything yet but decided to overlook the battle for the time being. "And we can't proceed any further from the front. Those people...they're too strong for us. We're losing this battle."

"Eek!" A member of the cultist flew back as a burst of flame and solar light erupted in front of them and two figures stood before them.

"It doesn't matter how many you've got." Natsu spoke confidently as he stared at them with an angry glare, his fists itching to fight some more as remnants of his flame snaked around his forearms. "We're...Fairy Tail wizards!"

"All that has happened up till now is as I've predicted." Arlock spoke ominously as he gazed at the enemy through his mask. "And when Ikusa-Tsunagi shakes the earth, that is when the purification begins."

"You're the boss aren't you?" Sora spoke as the masked priest let out a throaty laugh. "Your chances of winning are getting slimmer, so give up already."

"Oh, such youth...how enviable." Arlock commented dryly as he shook his head from side to side. "I, too, once had that." He lifted up his staff and pointed it at Sora and Natsu. "However, everyone eventually grows old...while entering a phase in life filled with regret...and despair!" A beam of light shot out of the weapon like a laser, going straight towards the dragon slayers.

"Hmph!" the duo , unfazed by the man's speech, rushed forward with Sora slapping the magic away with just a hand.

"Wha..."

"He brushed away that attack...like it was nothing!" A few cultists uttered as the priest began creating a barrier to defend against the slayers' attack.

"Gahh!" They grunted when they collided with the magic barrier. "What the hell?! When did this get here?!"

"Fufufu!"

"You can attack from behind that thing!?" Sora quickly peeled himself from the magic surface and flipped over to dodge the barrage of shots. "Unfair! Fine then!" Enraged, He and Natsu threw their entire bodies against the barrier, shoulder first. A couple of cultists snickered, stating that it was useless to try and get through with brute force. However, their laughter died in their throats as the two dragon slayers broke through the first barrier and rushed at Arlock at astounding speed. Scowling, he summoned a couple more barriers in hopes to slow the dragon slayer down but it proved to be futile.

"Impossible..." The Avatar priest uttered once the slayers smashed through the last standing defense like raging bulls. "Impossible!"

"Fire Dragon's..." Natsu pulled his hand back and encased it in his flame before striking out in a solid right hook. "Iron Fist!"

"Solar Dragon's Blazing Hammer!" Sora said, simultaneously striking with solar light engulfed left hook.

"Gwaaaahhh!" Arlock screamed as he was sent crashing into the ground from the powerful punches. It didn't stop there as the entire area blew up in an large explosion. Once the smoke cleared, Sora and Natsu could be seen standing over the priest's body and they waited to see if there were any movement or sounds from the enemy.

"What's so funny?" Sora wondered when he heard chuckle filter out through the cracked mask.

"You've lost." Arlock mused as he struggled to a sitting position. "I burnt my face off just for this day. That was the price I paid! And I did so willingly!"

"What the hell are you talking about?" Natsu tilted his head to the side in curiosity. 'This guy's totally nuts...'

"Now, it's time!" The Avatar priest screamed towards the sky, his arms lifted into the air in praise. "Oh mighty God of War, time for you to seal your part of the deal! Grant me your powers!"

"What is...?!" Natsu suddenly felt a massive spike in magical power and looked up to see a swirling mass of really scary clouds. 

"What the...hell..." Sora muttered.

"Summon: Ikusa-Tsunagi!"

"What?!" Lucy looked around in wonder as she felt something was really off and she wasn't the only one who looked uneasy. Every single mage in the area felt an unknown increase in magic power and the Avatar cultists cheered and applauded, sensing a change in the air. A couple of lightning strikes crawled across the sky like fingernails before a dark object peeked through the clouds themselves.

"What is this feeling...?" Lucas mumbled.

"Gramps...we're here too you know." Mary commented as she stared up at the sky. The others whispered among one another as the dark object descended lower till they could make out what it was.

"Is that...a foot!?" The celestial mage gasped as the giant appendage continued to penetrate through the clouds.

"It's huge!" Kiki exclaimed.

"Move out of the way!" Gray roared in warning, jolting a couple of people nearby out of their thoughts. "It'll crush all of you!" The foot slammed into the ground, crushing the cultists underneath as they tried to scramble out of the way.

"Hey!" Natsu spat as he gripped Arlock by the front of his coat, lifting the priest up off the ground. "Stop that! You're gonna kill your comrades too!"

"This is the purification ritual itself..." Arlock smirked as the foot lifted itself again and proceeded to stomp the ground repeatedly, trampling the broken bodies of the unsuccessful cultists. "The sacrifice necessary was the souls of Avatar's believers. More accurately, their belief. I couldn't care less about the ones in that town...the ultimate offering is the soul of one that dies, while believing in Zeref. Resulting in our Lord's appearance, to come and guide us!"

"Damn you...!" Sora growled as the priest burst out laughing like a psychopath. As the Avatar member tells the fire dragon slayer that the monster he summoned was unstoppable, a huge cyclone of wind appeared before dispersing, revealing the massive face hidden within. The creature seemed to have come out of Hell itself, towering over the puny groups like a miniature mountain.

"So he's summoned one of the 18 Battle Gods of Yakuma..." Erza said nervously when she recognized the ugly creature. He was a colossal, heavily muscular being with black armor-like skin. His face resembled that of a lion's with two horns-eclipsed by other bone-like horns-jutting out of his head. Looking at the horns reminded the scarlet-haired knight of Mira's Sitri form since the prongs were so similar.

There was a pointed tuft of facial hair on his chin and a while mane of hair jutting upwards. He had pupil-less eyes and black sclera, accompanied by demonic clawed hands and bestial-looking feet. The monster was scantily clad, saved for a leather kilt that had markings resembling clouds and held up by a large belt. Teeth-like ornaments decorated the belt by jutting out from both top and bottom. For weapon purposes, the deity carried a really large sword.

"What a twisted bastard...treating his own comrades like dirt..." Sora fumed at Arlock's despicable ways of accomplishing things and he glared at the massive giant with angry veins popping all over his body. 

"This is unforgivable!" Natsu glared at it as well.
